The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The New York area was filled with all kinds of stores and shops. Small, big, old and new in the same area but one in particular was of interest for Hymn. As she wandered through these streets day in and day out she felt new thoughts every day and experienced new things through the people that crowded the streets. But now something else had her attention. She had passed by this old music store from time to time and heard the music that came from it from time to time. The store was called Grandpa’s music store. It clearly was a bit of a joke for a name.
The sweet soft tune of the piano played by somebody who had spent years to perfect it came from the store today. This really perked up her interest as she was trying to look through the window. Her entire world around her disappeared in her head as the thoughts and music of the man playing the piano in the store filled her up. Slowly her hand pushed down the handle to open the door as she peeked inside. Inside the store was an old man, sitting behind and even older piano playing soft tunes with his eyes closed and moving his body on the music. The man looked like he was in his late 70’s maybe even early 80’s. He must have been the store owner and business must have been slow since the store was empty except for her.
She tip-toe’d in softly and sat down behind one of the other piano’s located in the store. The man couldn’t see her from where she was sitting and neither could she see him. The man’s thoughts flowed into her head as the soft blues music entered her ears. She simply let go as her powers softly took over and she was in that Hymn state of mind. Not only did the soft tune of her powers fill up but instinctively she played the piano as well, based solely on the thoughts coming from the old man. Surely she didn’t have the swift fingers or the experience as the man had but she tried her best to keep up with the basics of it. She had little to no experience with the piano but the man thoughts where strong in her head and she couldn’t help but try to play. She closed her eyes and moved to the flow of the music she heard in both her ears and in her head.

I think isabel should play alice and calley the cheshire cat (duh). I like the idea, if you need a mad hatter hymn is your hatter . Anyways Hymn could also be the cause of the illusion/dreams with her psychic powers *nodnod* ^^
she is about 21 now and out on the streets of new york. Hymn knows some people from mostly the sanctuary and had a room there for a while. As far as her powers go she still doesn't have much control over them
"I don't know if we need to thank god for this." She responded with a little smirk. This person seemed trustworthy to say the least. She didn't look like a bandit or murderer. Hymn removed her mask and shook her hair back into shape. Without the mask on she would look allot friendlier then with it on.
She smiled at Xavia as she introduced herself. "My name is of no matter, but the call me Hymn for aslong as a i remember. " She replied. The bike might have been broken down but she herself did not know anything about them. She could complete the hardest puzzles she ever bought but could not build a engine or fix a bike.
"I tend to leave the big things behind, they atract people." She replied to her bike coment. Hymn turned around and looked into the distance. Voices becoming stronger with her mask of. This could get hard to control for her if they would reach town.
While underway she heard sounds. They where muffled but that was mostly due to her clothing that she was wearing. It sounded like a dying motorcycle of some sort. Or atleast a similair vehicle. She hadn't heard anything like that in a while. Vehicles and gas died out like the people did after the end came. Nobody to fix them or to pump gas anymore. Truelly the end of the world in a way. No way to get from coast to coast anymore.
Never the less the vehicle came closer and closer till she heard somebody yell. She didn't know how to react. There where some weird people around now a days. She had a good feeling though while she turned her head to check what happened. It seemed to be a young lady with a dieing motorcycle. Turning around she tilted her head and put her hands in her pockets. Even though Hymn's face was hidden behind the mask she was still pulling a little smile. It was sort of a reflex she had around people she met even if they weren't very nice.
Not knowing what to do she waited, just standing there so the girl with the bike could catch up. She tried to investigate the situation from afar. Most of the people where armed these days and this girl could be no different.
The world has turned to ashes as the bombs fell from the sky, destroying mankind and their cities. Society fell soon after that. Humanity wasn't the most dominant species anymore. The balance shifted and factions had to be made. Now mutants where more likely to kill each other off then humans. It is weird how quickly things go from bad to incredibly worse.
Hymn had wandered much of the wastes alone. Her powers had grown beyond the control she already had and the voices where scattered and in numbers. Most of her clothes where destroyed. The only thing memorably she saved was her specially designed gasmask to prevent her powers from going rampant and giving her peace from the voices. Now all it does is dampen them, making them managable.
With her black hooded coat that she had pulled from the rubble of New york city on, she mostly hid herself away from people trying to manage her abilities. She got it under control over time and found out that it was time to emerge from the ruins and interact with people again.
Coming from the wastes she approached the settlement that she had heard from through the voices in her head. Mutants have set up a village to meet up, interact and live. Her clothes where dirty from the dust and sand from the wastelands. Her footsteps left soft footprints in the sands as the gates game closer and closer. She could her people in both her head and ears as she walked into town. Surely people looked at her since she had never been there before. She hadn't been anywhere since the bombing then in the rubbles trying to get a grip on herself and surviving of eatable things she could find. Some people might have gone savage in her condition but she had experience with keeping it together for years. But now again she found herself lost in a settlement that she had never seen. But things could only go better from here.
She was ushered over by the big red man named Venus. There once was a time that they met in the mental ward where he and his brothers sprung her out together with a buglady. Those where the days. Atleast the days where she was really locked up in her own mind.
She sat down across from venus and opened her diet coke. While she was a bit hesitant, she knew that she was safe around the big red brothers. They always where the kinder people around this place. Atleast they where to her. While taking her sip she was asked about the mansion. Venus was a whispering a bit. Probably to not disturb the rest of the group. Or to not pull their attention towards her. They where definantly planning something bad and she wasn't all that bad.
The mansion times where some weird times. She had no clue what she did there and why she stayed there for a while. It was just a spur of the moment thing. "It was fine, i fell in the pool one day." She responded. "Thats about it i guess." She continued and sipped her cola again. "So how about you.....guys?" She asked adding the guys later to imply about his brothers. They where definantly linked somehow.
There was a red man advancing to her position. Playing it cool mode activated. She had to keep her cool because weakness wasn't something you could show around here.
“Hymn, Darling, come join us we are having a reunion of sorts anyhow. How have you been love?”
She turned towards him and smiled. "Hi there. " she said cheerfully. She could be herself around the 7 red men that wandered around the halls of this place. He was one of the few that she could. "I'm doing.. well. " She added.
Her eyes peered over to the table again. She knew that most of the people around here did some bad things from time to time. While she pondered over that she said: " Sure, i guess i could join you." Voices in her head wheren't clear what to do about it but she took the chance and went with it.
Hymn was wondering around the sanctuary again and ended up in the dinerhall. It was not her favorite place to be but she had spotted a few of the seven red giants marching around getting food and drinks. This caught her interrest since they where part of the few enjoyable people to be around. Not to mention fun to be around.
She sort of snuck into the dinnerhall trying not to get attention and got in line for the food. Her eyes kept changing attention between the red people and the people at the table. She kept almost bumping into the people in front of her because she wasn´t paying attention. Voices in her head kept telling her to stay away from the redheaded woman at the table, she could be dangerous.
She got to the end of the line and got herself a sandwich and a diet coke. Nothing to much because she was mostly here out of curiosity. However, Hymn did not have the courage to go over there and sit with them.
"Your late, late, late, late, late, LATE !" Was going through Cailyn's head as she was running up to the mansion following up into the library. If she hadn't been so undecisive about her clothes and payed attention to the time she might have been there on time. But ofcourse she hadn't been paying attention to annything as always. She was still wearing summerdresses in the winter and it was cold.
When she finally got up the library she was out of breath and amazed by how many people where already there and talking. She might have been to late for the bidding but she would probably never figure that out. Fixing her dress and trying to catch her breath, she already started hearing the voices of people's thoughts. Not that she could figure out which voice was paired with which mind in this crowd.
The decision was made for her to sneakingly take a seat and hope nobody noticed she was late. Ofcourse she did this without any skill of sneaking but the hope was there that she would succeed, sometime.
