"This phase takes place right after the video's release. At this time most, if not all characters will be aware of the incident; the video itself will have millions upon millions of hits, and you are very welcome to have your character play out their first (or billionth) viewing in a thread. Many people will have something to say about this video; feel free to scoff at ‘human rights’ groups yelling about how it’s about time a mutant got put in their place, or root along with them! It’s up to you!
During this stage there may be small, contained incidents of racial tension and violence, as one might expect from something like this. You are more than welcome to play out such things, but keep in mind, it must all be within reason; Human supremacists aren’t going to go on killing rampages, just as well as mutant supremacists aren’t going to be dropping people left and right. At this point, the case is under review, and as far as everyone knows, the cops, who can’t clearly be identified through the footage, are going to go to jail for a loooong time for this.
As of phase one, the factions will not be the focus; the tension will be high everywhere, but there won’t be a whole lot anyone can do about it. It will seem as if that tension might just hang in the air forever… that is, until something happens to cause the strings holding a civilized society together to break."
Alrighty, party people! This here is the communication page for phase 1 of the riot plot! This thread will act as a place for people to post questions, or come up with lovely plot schemes ideas! It will also be where you post links to threads involved in the plot, so's I can easily pout them into the archive~ You'll do that so I won't have to search the board for each one, and because you are sexy, awesome people, won't you?
I'll want Miles to watch this at the mansion and getting very upset and vocal about it. His anger won't be directed at humans per se, but at the cops who caused this and the injustice of it all, since they just beat Gina (he will also be very worried about her). If anyone has a different viewpoint (pro-cops or anti-human) and resides in the mansion, we could have a cool thread filled with arguments between them and such.
I'll join you on that Aurion. As for Syn, she will be trying to fuel the fire against humans. Possibly going to hideouts or "mutant only" clubs to toss sparks of outrage.
Not sure about Victoria. She might be confused about it all and may stay in the mansion. Not sure yet.
I'd like to join this, but will have to find a way, maybe once Sham gets into the mansion someone can ask her if she's seen it and show her? I'm open to any other ideas
I'd like Tses to be involved, but she lives on the streets with really no ties to anyone. So if there is anyone who wants some human/mutant tension she could work with that. ... If anyone has some ideas let me know!
