The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

A grand hall in a upstate hotel of New york was the house for one of the biggest halloween parties. The once so proud and long hall was now a place where pirates and ghosts where hanging out and spiderwebs and bats where hanging around the walls and ceiling. Everything was in the good nature of halloween, the scary event of the year. The party however didn't even begun. The only people there where the staff members dressed up like ghosts and pirates.
Hymn was looking through the window for a hour now, with her face pressed against the glass. She didn't have a costume to begin with. She didn't know anything about halloween. The staff members noticed her but did not pay attention. She was just one of those snoopy kids that wanted to see what was going on. But after a hour one of them came outside.
"Hello there" The staffmember said. "Could i ask you what you are doing." Cailyn didn't turn around and said. "I see ghosts and pirates in there, what are they doing." The staffmember looked a bit confused. "It is a halloween party, everybody dresses up like something scary of funny." Cailyn turned her head. A soft music came out of the deep and she asked: "Can i come."
The staffmember nodded in agreement and she entered the hall. She got really excited and her time with the order taught her that it wasn't bad to try and use her powers sometimes. However she didn't know that with all the excitement she was starting to influence everybody in a costume to pretend what they where dressed up too. The party was starting and people where showing up. This was going to be one weird night.
(OOC: Ok, the deal is everybody showing up in costume becomes the character they dress up ass. Pirate goes all Yarr ! ghosts go all Booooo etc you get the deal )
"Thank you." she said and she nodded to his explanation. It would make sense if somebody had 6 others running around that the leader was busy. She got up a bit and patted Venus on the head, well as far as could reach him. Her legs curled up in a sitting position and she placed her bear between her and her legs. "Your nice." She said. "Not everybody is nice here." She explained. It was strange how all the red men where nice but none of the others where. Some of them just yelled all day or thought about blood and guts.
She looked at venus and said: "No thank you, i don't need anything." She nodded trying to be all brave. "just hope the scaryness didn't follow me." She added and looked at the door with a tilted head. The thought just crossed her mind that it might have followed her. If that would be the case she would have trouble sleeping.
Everything was going to turn out very bad. You had a young blond who couldn't keep up the forcefield anymore and another young child who was willing to spill some blood today, just to be left alone. To bad nobody by herself knew what was going on in their head.
Whispers in her head feeding her all kinds of stuff. To get out of here, to stay and hurt them and even to hurt the innocent people around her. What was she going to do with so much happening around her and in her head. It was enough to drive a normal person crazy.
Silverware was flying around and the forcefield was failing. A silver knife flew by her and she ducked away from it. It only scraped her cheeck a little but it was enough for let out some blood. Nothing that would last though. She started to snif and slowly cry a little as she grabbed her head and stayed down. She was really scared right now with all the commotion.
And then something snapped. Soft songs started to fill up the places that they where standing right now. Everyone could hear it and the children standing there where suprised at what was happening."Enough." She shrieked, though it wasn't really Cailyn speaking. it was her body but her mind was supressed by her nature. It was time this ended. Everybody who could hear the music would experience the type of chaos in their mind that would effect the way they felt. The young agressive boy would become his opposite, a tired and not angry little boy. To bad it worked differently on the forcefield child, he experiences rage and anger. what would happen next nobody would know but they would soon find out.
The bed was soft, way softer then her bed. her bed was made of ordinary linen, This was silk. It was all smooth and softy. She figured that if she wanted something like this she would have to get it herself. her fingers ran over the silk as she layed on her side with the bear against her.
So this was venus, the number 3 of the gang. Only 4 more that could introduce themselves to her. Not that she could say who was who. He had picked up some blankets for her. He was a very overly friendly one. Not that the others where badguys though, they where all very friendly to her. She could almost say they where her best friend.
She placed the blanket over her legs since those weren't covered up at all. She shook her head when he said what she was called. She looked at him from under her bear and said: "I'm Cailyn, but they name me Hymn too." And she let out a nod. The thoughts in her head told her all questions she should ask, rude ones, nice ones even the bad ones. "Didn't number 1 tell you?" She asked. He would probably not understand that but she wouldn't have a clue what she was doing wrong.
The red man did what she expected of the red man, offer her a place to stay until she felt safe to go back. She walked into the room. It was dark exept for the nightlight. She looked carefully at the floor, over her bear just to see if she isn't walking on something. It was funny how she always ended up with him when she had problems. They already shared a birthday now.
She sat down on the bed and looked around. His room looked nothing like hers. Hers was full with was considered by most people as junk, but to her they where the treasures of life. She bounced softly up and down. He had a different bed even. So much for sharing equally amoung the rooms. She looked around as she inspected the room. Funny to sleep in a different room for once. "It's ok" She said to Abyss. She turned her head and said: "Your to big to walk in my room." with a bit of a straight face. She didn't mean to offend him with it though, but he would knock over most of the stuff by just walking in her room. She herself had trouble getting to her bed. She layed down on the bed and held her bear close to her. "So whats your name today?" She asked. She had to know who she was talking to today. She knew there where seven, now if she only remembered their names correctly.
It was the big red man, one of many and which one was in front of her she did not know. All she knew is that she always felt safe with him. He was like her big guardian who helped her out when she needed help. "I Got scared and now i can't sleep." She said as she stood in the creeck of the door with her bear under her arms, being pressed tightly against her. She was pretty sure that he would help her scare the monsters off. He was probably very good at that but he seemed a bit off. This was probably one of the 7 she hadn't met in person yet though he seemed so familiar.
She had numbered the 7 with numbers by history of encounter. The first one was the one that she met at the asylum. he saved her and drove a buss out of there with her in it. The second one was the valentine party one, the one that bought her gifts and wanted to share his birthday. It was always fun to see him strutting around since you never know who you where talking to. This made him less predictacble but she knew she was safe with any one of them.
Cailyn had no clue what was going on at the entire cockpit area. It was all rufling and funny noises that made her go silent and praying to god, and the voices in her head that everything went well. Everything seemed to work out well as they where being kept in the air. Cailyn: 1 , Falling to a horrible death: 0. Another win for the good girl, with crazy voices, that somehow killed a few people once in a while.
After a short, but bumpy ride they touched down in front of a building. A orphanage in this case. She unclicked the clicky belt and hoped out of her seat. She was a bit woozy from the flight, since she had never flown at all but she would survive. People where waiting for them, people who where scared but neither the X-man nor katrina could tell. The little voices in her head spoke of their fear from mutants. She just softly "ssshh"-ed them off. She didn't want them to interfear from hearing what was going on here.
They where babling about who they where etc. This was something Cailyn already knew about them.... somehow, so it wasn't very interresting to her. She was more interrested at her surroundings. She looked around, at the building, at the yard and at the people. This was like school only worse. To many people around with all kind of different sad and happy thoughts. She rubbed her left eye with the palm of her left hand. It was getting anoying and headachey. She blinked a couple of times and followed the people.
Arriving in the yard there where children playing with knives and other silverwear. Bad people played with that kind of stuff. Cailyn stayed back as her voices where threatening her. "They are going to hurt you, get out now ." Said the voices to which she just shook her head. She was scared to even see the silverwear flying around a boy. With silverwear flying around she hid behind one of the nuns. This was going to end badly.
Cailyn was tussling and turning in her bed. Bad dreams haunted her mind. It had been a crazy day, all kinds of mutants with open minds passed through and affected her head. People should put locks on their minds or wear strange tinfold heads or something just to not hear them. This would atleast cause her to sleep better. Her room was filled with puzzles that where completed and there was little space left. Her bed stood in the middle of it and it was dark in there exept for a little light that was placed somewhere attop of the big ben 3d puzzle. Her teddybear was already dropped out of her bed. It was a big yellow bear around the size of her upper torso.
She shot up out of her bed and let out a eep. She was scared and she searched for her bear. Left right left right, Where did she place it. "Under the bed." Said a voice in her head and she hesitantly looked beneath her bed. It could be scary monster or something under her bed. She looked anyways and saw her teddy on the other side. She hopped over to the other side and quickly picked it up, holding it again her body with both arms. She couldn't sleep anymore and it was still dark. This ment that getting out of her room would be a challenge.
She got out of bed and slowly moved, very carefully towards her door. She made it without stepping on to much of her stuff. She opened the door and went into the hallway. She needed some confort. Scary monster of her dreams where trying to get her and the voices in her head told her that over and over. She was scared out of het pants now, sort of speak. She walked through the hallways and suddenly the voices in her head said: "Turn right , in there." Over and over again. Sometimes those voices where dandy. She softly opened the door and peeked in with her teddy next to her head. Only the top of her head was shown in the doorway and so the teddy's . She swallowed and said: "Hello?" very softly and carefull.
The belt didn't cooperate very well with her. It didn't want to click into each other to hold Cailyn into her seat. Katrina found herself a seat but unbuckled to help her out. With some quick help the belt made the clicky sound, telling her it was tightened now. To bad Katrina didn't have a belt buckle. Cailyn tried to warn her for the coming gravitiy shifts, seeing as she sort of knew the course already but it was to late. Katrina rolled down to the cockpit area.
Lots of sounds came from the cockpit area. Music, little explosions and painfull tumble sounds came from the area and Cailyn was stuck in the chair. It was better for her though, she had no busisness in there. It still was very inconsiderate of Sam to just take of.
When everything was over Sam asked them if they where ok. Cailyn inspected herself. No scratches, no brushes and no wounds. That qualified for being ok, even if voices in her head said she wasn't. She shrugged them off like most of the times. She learned through experience not to pay to much attention to them at certain times. She held up her hand and said: "I think so." The irony of her thinking she is ok while voices in her head said differently was something probably nobody grasped right now.
I had like a brainfart that gave me idea. I want hymn to throw a dress up party where everyone can dress up like their favorite superhero, animal, teacher, badguy and what not. Funny twist that i was also considering that hymn would make every actually play out the thing or person they are dressed up like. example: Someone dressed like a pirate would act like a pirate, someone dresses like a stone would act like a stone etc. Any thoughts about it =)?
Rant rant, bla bla it was all the same. She tilted her head the other way and pulled up a big grin. This was hilarious seeing as he just played right into everything she said. She didn't even have to toy with his mind, he just got angry all by himself. This was extra funny since this man could never even hit her. She would see it coming as soon as he thought about it and there was nothing he could do about it. Its like his head had a gaint window in in and a glowing pointy finger saying : Abuse my brain. This could be a very fun and not so innocent way of experimenting.
His rant finished with a threat of some sort. Normally she would be scared but staying at the sanctuary and getting out more made her less scared. Specially from somebody like him. She laughed softly like only crazy ladies do. Her hand twitched a bit and she stopped his laugh. "Your not going to hit a girl now, are you?" She said. "Not that you could hit me." She teased him a bit more. "But you have to be asking yourself this first." She said and moved her head a bit closer as if she was telling a secret. "Maybe im doing more to you then reading, maybe im not even here." She said softly and smiled again. She leaned her body back to normal and watched her words sink in.
“I like to think I'm broken in all of the right places,”
Broken in all the right places. Weird statement, but true for most people. Specially this one since he had such a weird brain that everybody who had the slichtest influence on it, could poke around in it. Something you do not come across very often. Most people resisted it even just a tiny bit, but with him you could walk right through. This asked for abuse sometime but first see where this would go.
“Who are you?”
His voice changed with a reason behind it. Did he just try to charm his way into getting a name. Tricks like that worked on normal people but not on her. She was to mentally unstable to act like a normal person hence those tricks didn't work. She tilted her head a bit to the right and tried to look trough the sunglasses. No use though they where as black as night and the rain didn't help one bit.
"Are you trying to trick me?" She said with a faint smile on her face. This would be funner then she thought. A trick of, that nobody could win from her. If she used her powers that is, but even then it could still come out akward. Who knew what type of people walked in the rain in the middle of the day. With her itchy hands just down her side she awaited where this would take her. If it would be fun, she would just have to wait and find out.
Her eyelids spazzed out for a moment and blinked very fast. Her eyes where turned up and you mostly saw the white part. That is if you can see ofcourse. She then squeezed her eyes shut very thight and shook the entire thing of her. It was over for a moment. This jake character had a mind like a book and a guide who pointed you to all the things if you wanted to. Not many people had a mind like this, but then again not everybody was the same.
Somebody approached her though. It was the jake character. A mutant to say the least. He was wearing sunglasses in the rain. How odd was that. Probably because he didn't look at everything like normal people did. "I'm ok." She replied trying to catch her breath from all the spastic overloads she just had from this mad.
This man was a oddity at the very least from everyone else. It was like she knew him for years now like a character from a book she read. Not like a friend though, emotions and thoughts are two different things. Voices spoke to her about danger and things. He knew stuff about her too, not about her personally but more at where she had been. Who she had met. This was very odd seeing as somebody like her got a totally different way of getting that kind of information. Not that she controled it, it just came to her.
"Don't talk, Don't run, Don't walk." The voices in her head went. She shook her head one more time and tilted it. The hymn that was almost as soft as the wind faded away more. "Your odd." She said. Not talking about his appearence though, but talking about his thoughts and memories.
Day, week , month who knew what it all was and what it all mattered for. Not for her though. Those things where not relivant for a person who had nothing but time on her hands. She had no obligations, no school, no work, nothing to pay attention to and to spend time on. Well her puzzles ate time like clockwork but it was more that she wasn't paying attention to time as much as the puzzles. Her entire room was stuffed with them leaving but a small spot to walk up to her bed from her door. Today she escaped it. She felt like doing something else.
She wandered through New york again, like she did mostly. How she ever found her way back was uncanny for her to know because she always got lost. It was part of the adventure. She even got back from this weird school once so her moral of returning to her puzzle filled room was high.
She passed allot of places, including stores, houses and theaters. New york was full of places with to many people for her to be. All the talk in her head was enough to drive her insane, literly. She wasn't quiet right for well pretty much half her life. She didn't know that it wasn't normal.
She passed a old park on her way through new york. She decided to go through it since it started to rain a bit. Rain was fun, it was like being in the pool without drowning.... and with your clothes on. To bad she forgot to bring her rain boots. The voices in her head told her differently though. She was supposed to stay out of the rain they said. It was evil and such. She sometimes just ingored them. Well ignoring them in a way of not taking their "advice."
As it started pooring rain and she just stood in a open patch of grass something just hit her. Information poored into her mind about somebody who was here. All kind of minor and mayor things just came to her as if she already knew this person for many years. It was actually a bit of a overload because normal people resisted this more then this person. She looked as if she was in pain but didn't speak a word. She pulled a face to match as she closed her eyes and used one hand to slowly rub her face. This was going to be very akward for the person who was seemingly around. His name was Jake townsend and he clearly was around here. A soft tune started playing around her seeing as a overflow of information made her power go a bit out of check more then normal. She had nothing to direct it too though so it would probably not harm anybody.
