The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"yes we have met before." She said and smilled sheepishly back to Aurum. It was a while back though when the two of them met. They had a show me your powers kind of game back then. It was fun and needed after the events that happened before. She remembered it was in a bookstore or something like that.
"Ow.. sure." She said and presented both of her hands to help him up. She wasn't very strong and lifting up a guy from the ground would be a tough job for her. Certainly this was not something Aurum was waiting for. Falling on your but , slipping over a banana peel is something thats would hurt the ego of any person.
Never the less, it was nice day and it wasn't turning out how she thought it would be. Not that it was a bad turn of events but still. "What are you doing here?" She asked Aurum. If she had a bit more luck she wouldn't have to ask, but it was more friendly this way.
There is was. Something you only saw in cartoons. People slipping over a bananapeel like it was made of butter. She didn't know if she need to laugh at this or ask him if he was ok. In cartoons everything was different from the real thing. That is something even children know. The thinking process started but her reaction did what everyone would do. She pulled a smile for the young man falling down. People falling and slipping is funny in every culture, why else would they have a tv show about it.
There was another person who questioned the interaction between bananapeels and man. The red headed woman clearly found it weird but opted to help the poor fellow. Cailyn stood up and poked her nose in their business. Bending over with her hand behind her back. she looked at the young man and remembered him from a bookstore. "Are you ok, poohbear man?" She asked him with big eyes examining him.
He looked ok, but she wasn't a doctor to begin with. People who fall over bananapeels might feel a bit of shame, or pain in the behind. But she wanted to help poohbear man out. The last time he questioned her abilities and he thought about poohbear. It was pretty weird how she ran into him again right about the time he slipped because of a bananapeel.
The fresh air of New York. Where else to celebrate the return from her trip then in the parks. She hadn't been here for a very long time and things have changed, just like her. For instance, she was older then the last time she was here. She had longer hair and she surely gotten a bit more self assured then last time. She learned to work with what she got and gotten used to being free. It was only for the best.
There was a nice breeze and the sun was warm. Wearing a light blue summer dress and some flipflops, she walked through the park enjoying the weather. It was almost like a movie. Sun, breeze, birdsongs it was unreal. If this had only happened sooner to her, she wouldn't have taken a trip.
She planted herself down on a bench near the water side. People where doing their daily runs, skating, walking to dog or just taking a walk. Ordinary people doing ordinary things. How she had missed New York. It wouldn't take her long to find her way back to the sanctuary anymore. She remembered the park so it was close. That was her goal after her trip: finding the sanctuary. She always got lost and never remembered the way to places. Her luck was she stumbled on them every once in a while. But now she just enjoyed the breeze and sun for a while and then she would continue her trip into the city.
She kicked of her flip flops and picked them up, placing them on the bench next to her. Her toes wiggled through the grass which gave a ticklish feeling to her feet. Enjoying the weather couldn't get any better to her standards. She stretched and then placed her elbows on her knees, letting her head rest on her hands. She observed the waterside and all the animals that where in it. The ducks she remembered when she was still silly and tried to catch one. Ducks could be very mean, so no catching the ducks for her today.
Hymn was strowling through the sanctuary with a notebook and a pen. She was scribbling down all sorts of things since she couldn't cope that well with all the things she heard. The decision was to write stuff down maybe for future use. It was good to know who was the violent guy and who was the guy who liked to keep the seat down when he goes number one. Saved you allot of trouble.
She was chewing on the pen as she passed through hallways and she could hear stuff coming to her in her head. She scribbled down most of the giberish she head and it kept her more focused then ever too. What a insane person would do to keep the illusion of sanity up.
She took a left and then a right and passed the dinning halls and passing through the washing machine area. "2 people." She muttered as she written it down and payed no attention to the people having a conversation. "Felis silvestris catus is not a cat but family of a cat." She continued in the same tone. "cat's have family." She stated then and written it down a bit bigger as she stood still before her conclusion. Chewing on the pen she continued her stroll and waved the kitty cat and the girl sitting next to the kitty cat..... eh Felis silvestris catus. She waved with one hand absently minded and said: "Hi Calley, Hi Kaitlyn, have a nice day." And walked out of the laundry room. Maybe she should have written down some names too. A shame that it was already forgotten.
Sitting in a little dark cell with nothing to do but just sit there and enjoy the silence. Because that is something she finally had, silence. The first days here where painfull cause her powers always worked but after a while her body started to react and she went powerless out of fear for the devices. For the first time in years, it was silent. Not that she had much time to enjoy it due to the fact that she was imprisoned very early when entering this country and sitting all alone in a little cell. That and the constant abuse of the guards. They took advantage of her being little and weak. She got yelled at, hit sometimes and underfed. It was still just like the asylum only the rooms weren't soft. But the upside was her father wasn't here to hurt her. So she didn't know what to make of it. All she knew was that she was going to enjoy the silence while she could.
Now that her head was silent, the people in the other cells weren't. She finally had what she wanted and other people where messing it up. It made her kinda mad. Mad in a not stomping and shouting way though. She was sitting on the bed that all the cells had. It was uncomfortable and hard compared to the bed she used to have. She missed her puzzles and little playthings that she collected. She didn't even get a pen to scribble things down. Not even a sudoku a day. This was hard time.
Then there was noise. Somebody screaming something and chaos soon followed. Mutants on the loose, powers returned. It took her a little while before she realized it herself, and felt the effects. Chaos returned to her head and everything was the way in used to be, and back with a vengeance. Headaches, pain and chaos entered her head and she fell to her bed. She started to kick and roll while grabbing her head trying to deal with this again. She had been here for a while and she had gotten used to the whole "no voices" idea. People ran passed her cell towards freedom, keeping the guards at bay. Ofcourse reinforcements arrived but they weren't too busy with Hymn but with all the mutants in the hallways.
She started screaming and squirming doing her best to deal with everything. The effect of her returning powers were also felt by the people in the hallways since a soft song was coming into the room. With all the chaotic thoughts piercing into her head made her thoughts and commands violent. Everybody was starting to shoot violent things as effect of her powers. Guards where hitting guards down with everything they got. Mutants got a free deal to get out. Twitching, she got up and floated to her cell door holding the bars, screaming at the top of her longues outside while blood splattered over the walls from the guards kicking the crap out of each other. To bad she couldn't get the door open herself.
Red men fighting averted and the peace returned to this room in a ow so not peacefull place. Nobody even bothered to check what to door breaking was all about, it was normal to make a mess and some noise to match. She just sat there switching between the one red man and the other as they made whitty remarks at each other.
Now the grumpy one turned out to be quite the handy man. He put a new door in the frame in no time. She wondered if he did more of the fixing around here. He would be like the santa of broken stuff, who comes out at night and fixes up stuff. She nodded when she thought that, it could be a theory to test out someday. Though the voices in her head said differently, she still thrusted both of them. They where like big guardian red men.
She scooted over to make room for jupiter who joined on the bed and curled up. It was almost like a big red cat. She placed her bear next to him and patted him. "It's ok, the more the merrier" She said and smiled. They should be getting along now though. If not then she herself would have to straighten them out, or atleast try.
(OOC:sorry 1 handed typing is hard and i figured i let you fight yourself ^^)
**" I will kill you, Venus, if you have made the slightest move on her. Hymn, has he hurt you?"\
Cailyn eeped as jupiter stomped through the door. She shot up in a sitting position with her back against the head of the bed. The door was broken to say the least and a very angry red gaint was standing in the door frame. He was very upset with venus for the reason she wasnt to sure off. Venus didn't do anything bad though. Atleast not that she knew off, and she knew allot of things about everyone.
Jupiter however didn't know if he was doing bad things, he just asumed it. Guess if you look the same and are related somehow you can asume stuff from each other. He knew him as good as a mind reader, like herself. Sure she knew that venus had been naughty sometimes but nothing to do what jupiter could be angry about like this."No."She eeped out to confirm that she is ok. She held her bear against herself. She got scared of jupiter, they where going to fight each other over nothing and there was almost nothing she could do about.
Now she was Caily for some reason. Fun how people toyed with her name very often. She felt safe with the big red man right about now. She was sure of it that nothing would hurt her right now. She was the kind of person that would lock her room because she knew what people where thinking and it wasn't allot of good stuff.
He explained the reason why most of them where so angry. She should have been angry too for being locked up for so long but she wasn't. She was just glad to be out of that place and away from her fathers influence. And ofcourse that she wouldn't get hurt as much was a big plus aswell. She curled up a bit and pushed her bear tightly against her. “Don’t you worry about any scaries. I will eat the m if they come in here.”
This raised some thoughts in her head. What would he eat them with, and what would they taste like. Would he use salt or sugar on them, or dip them in milk. He was atleast big enough to atleast try that. He would need a big cup of milk though. "Do you eat scaries allot?" She asked.
And on that note everything went to hell in a handbasket. Katrina was brave, Sam was a hippy and the sisters where gone. Now they where the only ones left and all of them weren't in the right state of mind to say the least. Everything was getting out of hand and non of it was helping anybody. Katrina got brave but knocked down. Sam was looking at a butterfly. And the two boys now where the other way around. Instead of the forcefield one trying to protect he attacked and the knife one did... well not much anymore.
Hymn however wasn't in control of what she was doing and it was getting out of hand. For now she was just changing things, but in a matter of minutes this could change from making people go insane or even killing each other. Not that she had even the remote clue of what he body was doing but still.
The music that came from her started to fill up for of the yard and more and more people got affected. The children that where hidding in the yard where now no longer scared or hatefull. They became cheery and wanted to help. It was almost like a peacekeeping rally now. She herself however seemed to be in the helpfull mood aswel for now seeing as the children where trying to pick up Katrina now and stop the forcefield maker from hurting her. If all worked out well in time, they might even help out before she became more volitile and started working their minds the bad way.
