The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Isabel was still in something of a daze. She had been summoned by a text from Lisa and had received the shock of her life as when she'd responded to the call. One of her oldest and dearest friends, one she had thought to be long dead, had materialized out of thin air in the Sanctuary's lobby. The Abyssi no doubt were sharing in her tumult of emotions as they, too, had responded to a similar summons for the same purpose.
Had it not been for the fact that Isabel had wandered to the Cafeteria so often in the handful of years she'd been living in the large building, she probably would have wound up lost due to her distracted mind. Nothing but sheer habit and familiarity with her surroundings had guided her motions and safely lead her to the Dining Area where they'd entertain Syn for a while and hep her settle back into her old home.
Personally she wasn't so sure she could stomach much food at the moment. She didn't think it'd make her sick, per se, but her appetite wasn't exactly at it's strongest. She would settle for something on the lighter side. Filling, but wouldn't sit like a rock in her stomach. Maybe some stray pieces of fruit, like an apple and grapes, or some black cherry jell-o that would go down smooth and wouldn't require a lot of chewing.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Walking through the Sanctuary was almost done without thought as it had been done so many times in the past. Although, there were a few hesitations as Syn made her way to the dining area. A couple times she would take a step or two down a corridor and then remember that wasn’t the right way and corrected her course. Even though she would fix her bearing she still felt like an idiot in front of her brother. She should know better as she once commanded this place.
Upon reaching the dining area Syn directed herself to a tray and began filling it with anything that looked good. A few pieces of fruit, a slice of pepperoni pizza, some mashed potatoes with gravy, a roll, some pasta salad and a slice of pumpkin pie with some tea to wash it all down. Grabbing some silverware and some napkins she then noticed her dear friend Isabel already sitting at an open table. “Mind if I join you old friend?”
Aura had gotten a word from the Byssi, that Syn had returned. Aura was unsure how to take that at first. It was true their had been no body at KP, but Aura had worn the shame of not dieing well syn had like a heavy weight. She had gotten past it with effort and the lives of three or four orphans. To Aura loyalty was something of an absolute and so a former leader who she had sword such loyalty was something that had made Aura question much of her already shattered beliefs. Still it was something she would need to deal with and Aura did realize the fact that Syn was alive, alleviated what guilt she still felt over the incident.
Aura walked to the dining room, a think pink outline around her body. It had no substance but Aura liked leaving her powers on display while she was at home. Aura let out a bit of a sigh and swept her long black hair behind her. The way to the dining hall was so embedded in her mind her body walked the path. She entered the Dining Area and stopped for a few moments as her eyes rested on Syn's red hair. She was with isabel she noticed, having not known who else had been informed about this dining.
Aura grabbed a tray and decided against asking the man to cook the lemur she had imported with less then legal means. She settled on a ham steak but took no silver ware, Aura had little need for it. She was also unsure how much she would actually eat. She walked to the table and set down with them. "hello, i hope i am not intruding" she said truthfully hoping she was not. Aura smiled even as she formed a knife with her pointer finger and a forke from her pointer finger on her other hand and quickly cut up the meat.
Abyss wouldn't have noticed if Syn had decided to where a sunflower yellow dress and bonnet for how happy he was to have his little sister home, much less a few missteps here or there. He watched as she piled up food and that pleased him, he was glad she had an appetite, he could never tell with others, it took a lot of food to sustain him and his brothers so it always seemed that everyone else didn't eat enough. He requested the cook bring over a dozen pizza's as he saw his brothers enter as well, instead of clearing out the line of its food they would wait on theirs.
He sat down next to Syn and Isabel and Aura. A grin sent to Aura as she wasn't in the lobby when she got there, he didn't think. The other five brothers stay at the sanctuary filed in and filled up the table. Jupiter going to grab drinks. placing a twelvepack of soda between them when he got back.
Isabel was just beginning to peel a blood orange that she'd decided upon when a familiar voice broke into her thoughts. It was still strange hearing that long-missing voice, though it was not an unwelcome surprise. What was more unusual was the owner of that voice asking her permission to join the table she'd settled down at. Syn had never really been one to ask permission from anyone, not that it was ever really needed, and Isabel certainly wasn't going to be the one to decide it was required. "Of course not!"
Aura got much the same reply when she joined the table as well, and the Abyssi as well, the six apparently still shadowing their little sister and none seeing the need for excusing or asking permission for their appearance, which was how it should be.
Isabel slipped a slice of her orange into her mouth and sat quietly for the time being. She'd hop into any conversation she thought she could contribute to. However, at the moment she was content to sit and enjoy the feeling of rightness that the current company carried with it.

Setting the tray on the table Syn sat down and looked at Isabel. It had been such a long time since the two of them had been close enough to interact. The familiar feeling of their long time bond renewing like a rope that had most of its threads cut, but never completely severed was now regaining those cut ties.
Another somewhat familiar figure soon joined them. Syn remembered seeing this other female within Sanctuary, but she couldn’t recall her name. The pink aura surrounding her was a distinct marker, but Syn could only recall wanting to get to know the girl more after seeing her demonstrate her power. Since Issie had already acknowledged the newcomer Syn just gave a nod of acceptance.
They were quickly joined by the Abyssi with Abyss sitting next to Syn. Once the others had filed in and finished flanking the group the table was almost full. Taking a look around at everyone Syn inhaled deeply and smiled. “It’s good to be back after so long. What have I missed?”
Aura watched as the Abyssi came in, of those assembled she easily knew them best. They were hard to miss, large red and with large piles of food on their plates. Aura enjoyed Abyss's and his brothers presence more then most others she knew. Aura watched as a massive amount of Pizza was then brought to the table as well. As she finished cutting up her own food, using her aura as utensils.
The other two at the table Aura knew of varying degrees. She knew Isabel from a few missions they had together as well as Aura had become a member of the Order in a meeting with Isabel as well. She had gotten to Known Syn far less then she would have liked while she had been at Sanctuary prior. Aura could only recall meeting with her a hand full of times.
Aura was unsure what to say, instead she kept quite. Their was so much that was new, but Aura was not sure how much of it was relevant. Instead she waited for somone else to respond deciding she would join in when she could.
Hymn was wondering around the sanctuary again and ended up in the dinerhall. It was not her favorite place to be but she had spotted a few of the seven red giants marching around getting food and drinks. This caught her interrest since they where part of the few enjoyable people to be around. Not to mention fun to be around.
She sort of snuck into the dinnerhall trying not to get attention and got in line for the food. Her eyes kept changing attention between the red people and the people at the table. She kept almost bumping into the people in front of her because she wasn´t paying attention. Voices in her head kept telling her to stay away from the redheaded woman at the table, she could be dangerous.
She got to the end of the line and got herself a sandwich and a diet coke. Nothing to much because she was mostly here out of curiosity. However, Hymn did not have the courage to go over there and sit with them.
Venus spotted a pretty young blonde tha he recognized more recently from a visit to the mansion, but he knew the girl from living around here much better, and my how she had grown up. Venus excused himself from the table as he went to collect another face he had not seen in much too long.
“Hymn, Darling, come join us we are having a reunion of sorts anyhow. How have you been love?”
Abyss looked to his table of companions, “ So, what are we going to do after lunch? it’s been too long since we’ve all done something as a family.” The grin on his face pleaded for a bit of mayhem. “There was enough order at the table to give most of the NYPD nightmares well into their afterlife.
“We could go down to central and play scare the norms.”
Isabel gave a small shrug as Syn posed a question just as she'd spooned a small cube of jell-o into her mouth. There was a good amount of events that had transpired after Syn had disappeared, it was just a matter of figuring out which would be noteworthy enough for her. The happenings of the Order were probably the best bet in any case.
"Lori stepped up as Leader after you disappeared," she started as she dissected a star-shaped glob of gelatin. She liked Lori well enough. She was a good leader. Isabel just didn't want to think about the potential issues that could crop up if Syn decided to challenge the leadership now that she was back. "She's got a sort of co-leader, too. Lenna. She's an Adapted. And we're pushing M now that Haywire's been destroyed. Lets the little humans get a taste of mutant powers and make 'em pay for it." The Abyssi could probably give her more info on the drugs. Isabel didn't push them personally, though she'd seen the effects here and there.
Her attention shifted over to Abyss as he proposed playing some games in the Park. A small grin started to find its way onto her face. Scare the Norms was always fun and it would be a good way to get back into the swing of things. Nostalgia could be fun, too. "I'm always up for a little mayhem."

Leave it to her brother to break the silence, but it was good as the table was rather quiet. She watched him call over to Hymn who was just getting some food of her own. Syn remembered seeing Hymn in Sanctuary before her disappearance as well. She couldn’t recall if they ever talked though she leaned towards thinking they didn’t interact much either. If she was to feel comfortable again Syn would need to reacquaint herself with her those who were with her. His next topic had a possible hope of fun, but Syn needed to do something first. She needed to know what was going on now and who was among the current version of the Order.
Thankfully her dearest friend brought that discussion to light. “I remember having a brief run in with Lori before.” Thoughts of their somewhat tense meeting resurfaced in Syn’s mind, but quickly changed to this co-leader business. “Why is an adapted here? They aren’t mutants like us.” Syn’s tone had a bit of fire to it. She remembered good ole Mr. Knuckles as he was her introduction to the Adapted’s existence. Calming herself Syn glanced around at those gathered. “Who is in the Order now and what can they do?”
Abyss's idea held some serious merits and potential for fun that Aura seriously enjoyed. Aura knew how to scare the Humans all right, she found death was scariest of all for them and her mind readily brought images to her mind that might scare hardened criminals. It was also an opportunity as Aura had never worked with Syn before and had only worked a hand full of times with Isabel. She forced herself back to reality as she noticed the conversation was still ongoing. "Playing with Humans is an excellent game" She said with a smile.
Then Syn Aura with a revelation, that Adapteds were not Mutant's. Aura had considered the idea and even so recalled one or two mentioning they were different then Mutant's but Aura had never quite understood how. She had simply assumed they were mutants who had a simmeler power, which as she had met two was already a strange thing. "She gained control over the Mondragon Labs and brought it into the order fold and that is why she is coleader....although Adapteds do make me uncomfortable" She said a visible shiver going through her body.
Aura answered the next question without even thinking about it. She took a Moment to gather her thoughts before beginning. "Well theirs Roach who is a giant insect, i think we can talk to Roaches to, Sledgehammer who can accelerate his punches and hit with the force of...well sledgehammer, Kaitlyn who can make her body explode Aura smiled and stopped a moment. "Lot of fun that kid is, Pix the bug controller, Aurion who has the body of some sort of reptile with claws and teeth, Tarin who can talk to the dead, and Zephyre who can control wind as well as those gathered here" she said though she glanced at hymn as she did to indicate she was not in the order.
Then Aura said something she would never have considered just five or six months ago. "We have gotten to far from ensuring our people have a future" She said and a moment after she did, she felt her knife hit somthing hard and realized she had cut through her plate and for the last few moments had been cutting into the table. The order had changed sine Lori had taken over and Aura had never been convinced it was for the best but Aura could not deny her own tactics would have left her and a great many others dead.
There was a red man advancing to her position. Playing it cool mode activated. She had to keep her cool because weakness wasn't something you could show around here.
“Hymn, Darling, come join us we are having a reunion of sorts anyhow. How have you been love?”
She turned towards him and smiled. "Hi there. " she said cheerfully. She could be herself around the 7 red men that wandered around the halls of this place. He was one of the few that she could. "I'm doing.. well. " She added.
Her eyes peered over to the table again. She knew that most of the people around here did some bad things from time to time. While she pondered over that she said: " Sure, i guess i could join you." Voices in her head wheren't clear what to do about it but she took the chance and went with it.
“Lori has been good, but the order isn’t as rough as it used to be, we are moving a bit more subtle, not quite this tables style, but it has kept heat off of us a bit, not that we ever really cared.” Jupiter added to Isabel’s assessment. Saturn chimed in about the M. “The M is fun because it screws with the whole; humans wouldn’t act in such a way if they had power. Not too sure about the end game with that one though.”
“Calley is still in, there is a big Reptile guy named Aurion he’s strong., and I heard Shade was back and changed his name to Grim, I think he has something to do with shadows. Yeah, darkness and jumping around and murder deathing things..” Mercury added. “and then there are the usual stay at the sanctuary moochers. Oh, and Lenna seems like good people too, I’ve been paying attention to the word around the campfire, and she seems dedicated to the order as anybody else.” Mercury seemed to be in a serious mood today. “Besides having an adapted on our side can’t hurt. Oh I guess you’ve counted and can tell that Pluto went Awol.”
Venus ushered Hymn over and couldn’t care less what else was going on, the former mental ward attendee had grown up well. Venus sat across from the petite and pretty girl. In a hushed tone as to not disturb the others Venus asked Hymn. “ Did the Mansion mistreat you?” last he saw she was over that way.
Isabel didn't want to share her perspective on Lenna at the moment. The Abyssi didn't seem to have much of a problem with the Adapted, and she didn't want to start an argument over it. It probably wouldn't be much of a secret or a very far-fetched assumption that Isabel didn't like it, though. She'd never liked Adapteds or anything else that could throw her mutation out of whack. Having one in the Order and in charge on top of it was one big conflict that gave her a headache trying to figure out.
No, it was much easier to vent about someone else. Someone that wasn't in charge. Someone that was constantly proving to be a pest and a general bother to her no matter what she said or did to deter him.
"There's a kid named Forte that's new, too," she chimed in, her expression contorting into one of annoyance and irritation. He was the only one she could think of that the other two had missed, and she wasn't all that surprised that he'd slipped by them. He spent most of his time following and tormenting her, after all, instead of socializing with the rest of the Order and the Sanctuary residents like a normal person.
"His mutation could be helpful, something to do with little bolts of energy, but the kid's a total pest," she continued, spearing the apple she'd placed onto her plate and dragging the fork downward, tearing the green skin and watching the juices puddle. "Like a small dog constantly yapping at my heels. I dunno what his deal is, or why Lori or Lenna recruited him, but he's in, too."
