The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Ok i don't tell then." She said with a serious look on her face. If he didn't want her to tell him then that would be fine. Ofcourse she had no clue that he ment it the other way around but that was something only normal people understood. She didn't read mind afterall, she got information from them.
."So, what's a good noun?"
If only she payed attention in class, ow wait she didn't have class. She had no clue what a noun was but all she got from him was winnie the pooh, dancing around. "Poohbear." She said to him while trying one of the scones. They tasted like chocolate, which was good ofcourse. Sip of the cocoa, also chocolate and hot too. She was about the enter chocolaty heaven located in a bookstore. If it was up to her she would eat and drink this forever. Even though it was very unhealthy.
" Would you like some help with these, birthday girl? organizing them any way, I am terrible at puzzles. also I'd like to show you how to work your game boy. I hope black was ok?"
What was a gameboy? And was black the right color for it? Things that sounded weird for it. Was he talking about a young boy who walked around playing games? She decided that it would be ok to just ask. "What is a gameboy?" She asked the big red man. She was already packing out stuff and putting them in the correct order of assembly. She already decided what to do first and in what order to continue. By the end of the month she would be finished and her room would look like a giant puzzle store with finished puzzles. Yes the room would look very good once all the puzzles where finished, it would finally become her room. Now all she had to do was to remember to lock the door and keep the key.
"Would you like to take a walk around the mansion? We could go outside if you'd like?" "What would you like to do until my friend finds out a little more about how to help you?"
How to help her. She sure seemed like a nice young women. Even though she could probably throw electrobolts at her to make her talk if she wanted to. Guess not all people are bad with their powers. Cailyn was bad with her power, most of the time. She couldn't think of any moment that she didn't regret using them, or they using her. But her mind drifted again. She should stay focused on what to do with the question. What could she do around here. The room didn't look like allot of fun so the foresight of the rest wasn't exactly the most optimistic one.
What to do indeed. Walking around a mansion didn't sound like allot of fun. Maybe they had a game room, or better yet PUZZLES ! "I like puzzles." She said a bit shyly. Most people thought it was weird for a girl her age to like puzzles. All she knew was that girls her age should like clothes and jewelery etc. That was what the tv told her anyways.
“Oh I’ve been up to pretty much the same old same old.” The tabloids had let her keep her identity hidden from the public, and she’d managed to keep it hidden from everyone else. “I do some hobby story writing, and last year, I bought another horse.” Because horse flies need something to land on and eat. “His name’s LocoMotion, and he’s drop dead gorgeous. Though he’s loco too. He chased one of the other horses into the fence a week ago.” He was a lot like his mommy Buggs. “He doesn’t play nice with others.”
Pix had been really busy by the sound of the story. First of all she didn't know pix had horses, or was in tabloids. Maybe she should do some more tabloid reading herself. Lots of people did it in their spare time. She herself however only read articles about biology. Biology seemingly turned into a hobby over the years. She didn't even read tabloids when she modeled.
"Horses sound fun." She said with a smile. "Well after my father was taken care of." She said with a hinting sound. "Something in my mind clicked together." She continued. "It was like something ended and something began." "I felt more assured and ready to grow up." "After that i modeled for a bit, got into school and got a degree in biology." "Guess i kind of grew up allot in the past years." She ended her story with a smile. That was what she had been doing the last years in a nutshel.
She was all wet too. "me too." She responded and gave him a smile. Or well atleast a smile that can only be pulled by someone who almost drowned. She was happy to be out of the deep end again and happy she could play at the shallow end.
She quickly saw people passing by out and in of the pool. Allot of things happened, people getting shoved into the pool, people racing each other. It all sounded like allot of fun if you could swim. Now she wanted to learn how to swim more then ever, after seeing the awesomeness that is swimming. But how to learn how to swim.
She got out of the pool of the pool and walked around a bit.She looked at the people race and cheered them on. They looked like good swimmers. Maybe one of them could teach her how to swim. First see who finishes and then ask was a correct way to handle this situation.
"Those books are good. My mom used to read them to me when I was younger. It was sweet of the writer how he wrote the books for his kid."
There was actually something they had in common. They both like the friendly yellow bear in the red shirt. Not that she had read anything else since age of 7 or so. In the asylum, she didn't get allot of books. Just puzzles to train her mind. "He likes honey." She said with a smile and nodded. He seemed like a friendly and playfull person to talk to.
"Careful, it's hot." "There are chocolate scones in the bag, too. If you want any."
She took the hot cocoa which was indeed hot. She switched hands every 20 seconds or so because of the heat. It would cool down enough in a minute so she could hold it. Ofcourse she said: "Yes" in response of the chocolate scones. It had the word chocolate in it and she was a sucker for chocolate.
After that the persons mind started to wander. About all kind of things that happened. Cailyn raised a brow at his thoughts. He worried to much and that could make her worry about things.
"My name's Aurum, by the way. What's your's?"
With a extended index finger, she pushed the front of his head softly for just a second. "You think to fast." She said, obviously revealing what she could do. "My name is Cailyn." She said after that as if nothing happened.
Jupiter knew the way. He lead her to all kinds of corridors and walked a bit uncomfortably behind him with a heavy bag in her hand. She herself had no clue how to find her room but jupiter sure did. They took a left and a right every once in a while and eventually found there way to number thirty six. "Mmmmmm, there we are number thirty six."
Number thirty six, her room. There they where and Jupiter was waiting for it to be opened. She put down her bag carefully and walked to the door. She knocked three times and then just opened the door seeing as it wasn't even locked. The door opened and it revealed a fairly empty room. She picked up her bag and dragged it into the room and placed it next to the bad. She then waited for jupiter to enter.
All three of them walked through various checkpoints without any problems. Every checkpoint had a guard that scared the crap out of Cailyn. She followed the pixy lady exactly 2 inches behind her. Even though they went through all the checkpoint without a problem she was still scared to get caught and what not. If that happened she would be having a big problem.
Eventually they reached the end of the hallway with big doors. The big doors probably lead to the big cheese, which she was told that he was evil and that he eats little baby birds. The mayor was a bad man and needed to be controled seemingly.
"Very good. I would like all the information you have on our dear Mayor to include his bodygaurds, wife, children or any possibleladies he might have other relations with."
“If you have information on the friends of his wife, and children that would be useful as well.”
She had no clue what to say. She simply said : "Yeah" In a scared and hidden way while she stood behind pix. It was all confusing to her what the entire plan was but she thought that if she sticked to pix like a fly to fly paper, it would all turn out well.
"Ok, Cailyn, which is a very pretty name by the way. I promise... I won't send you back to wherever you don't want to go."
Cailyn knew somehow she was speaking the truth. Not only did she had a trustworthy face but she also had trustworthy thoughts, unless she had been trained for that. Paranoia struck a bit but she gave her the benefith of the doubts and trusted her words.
"Well Cailyn, what about your last name? It might be a little easier to find where you came from if you help me with a last name too."
Her lastname. Something she was burdened with that caried the connection between her and her father. Not something to be proud of if your father locks you up for being a mutant and him being a tyrant and a thief by default. Her father ran a company that made most of their money by backalley research and black market weaponary. Most of the non-legal things where cleared up and desposed of by her father and his powers. "lyndall." She said shortly, later regretting it. She should have lied about it since she could now be made into a enemy if they knew who her father was.
Lots of splashing and wiggling was happening since she tried to get to the surface. It didn't work very well though as she was sinking more and more by the second. This was it, she was doomed of nobody came to help her, or would they ?
At the moment of that thought, a young man jumped into the pool and grabbed her. She looked up to him and saw a blurry image of him through the water. Bubbles came from her mouth. The young man grabbed her tightly and pulled her up to the surface. She breathed the fresh air in with big gasps.
“Are you alright?”
The looked at the man who saved her. He seemed like the standard "hero" type kind of person you only see in the movies. Not that she saw to many heroes in her life, or movies for that matter. She nodded in argrement as she caught her breath. She was now sitting in the shallow part of the pool looking at the water thinking about how she was nearly dead by being as stupid as the sit at the deep end of the pool.
“You are fascinating with puzzles by the way. It is almost a matter of time before they are simply done.”
She nodded. It was true, no puzzle will be left unsolved by the end of the month atleast. She was probably going to lock herself up for the coming month to solve them all, and to decorate her room with the solved puzzles. Jupiter started lifting stuff towards the sanctuary. Cailyn wasn't very strong but she slowly picked up a medium sized bag, which was heavy for her and she walked at the speed of a snail towards the sanctuary. She was atleast helping out.
“So, what room are you in?”
Her room, she knew the number but she mostly just wandered around till she found it. Not that there was anything in the room except a bed and everything that was required to sleep in it. "Number 36" She said while nodding. Now hopefully Jupiter knew the way better then she did.
She was just splashing some water mind her own busisness, while suddenly ghost popped out behind her. She was to busy with the water to notice her anyways. She was thinking other things like: Getting into the shallow part and play with a ball or something. To bad something more drastic was about to interrupt her thinking moment.
The Luke-man, who she heard about only from whispers was stumbling over to ghost with a momentum to knock her over. They fell over and all of them went into the pool. Cailyn didn't like it and a moment of pure fright came over her. She was in the water and couldn't swim.
She flopped her hand around in a attempt to stay above water. She was gasping for air and trying to find a way out of the pool as fast as she could. To bad she couldn't swim to the side of the pool, but if she could do that she wouldn't have this problem. She attempted to go into the direction of the edge but it wasn't helping. And then she went down under the water not being able to get out of it. What was she going to do now where the thoughts that ran through her head.
They soon departed towards the sanctuary. It was the best birthday a mentally distrurbed girl with a affinity for puzzles could ever have. The entire puzzle section looked like it was hit by a typhoon. This typhoon happened to place the puzzles in the cab though.
Cailyn herself didn't know the way but the cabbie sure did. Seemingly everyone knew the way exept for her, maybe something should be done about that. Ow well it didn't matter at the moment. She had her newly solved puzzle to twiddle with. As the cab went through the streets of new york the puzzle wouldn't stand still on the dashboard. She kept catching it as it almost fell and placing it back on the dashboard.
As they arrived at the sanctuary, the puzzles had to be unloaded. Cailyn hoped out the cab all happy and excited and wanted to help loud out all the stuff. Where she was going to put all the stuff but they would wonder about that later. Now it was unloading time and she couldn't wait to toy around with the puzzles and decorate her room with solved puzzles.
"Do you have a purse? Or... maybe a wallet?" Tricity asked, scoping the girl out. Maybe she had had a purse downstairs under the table in the kitchen. "Do you have some form of I.D.?"
Everyday items a ordinary person would have with them while going to a party. But Cailyn wasn't very ordinary. She didn't have any of those items. Well atleast the woman was nice enough to be nice to her. She seemed thrustworthy. She shook her head in a no-ward manner to her question. She found that it would be a good idea to tell her name. And also include the fact that they should not send her to her father. She swallowed and opened her mouth. "I am Cailyn, please don't send me to my father." She said with a bit of fear in her voice. The only thing she feared was her father. Everything else she could probably handle at the moment, but not her father. The tyrant that locked her up for being what she was, a powerfull mental manipulator with no control.
“That was one of my favorite blends… alas. If coffee doesn’t suit your taste, maybe a cup of cocoa will? You like chocolate, right? If it’s okay with you, I’d like to buy you a cup to make up for giving you a drink that disagreed with your sense of taste. And maybe a scone…”
The young man had a running mouth to say the least. Cailyn didn't understand half of what he said but chocolate was mentioned. Chocolate was mostly good, and for her it was extra good since she had 10 years of chocolate eating to catch up on. Though the man didn't mean chocolate for eating but for drinking. It was all the same though.
The young man helped her up and when she was on her feet she patted the top side of her pants. She always did that as if she was dirty but she never was. Better safe then sorry.
"So, tell me. What's your favorite genre of book?"
1 points for the young man. Cailyn didn't read, well she couldn't. It was a though question for her but the last book she actually "read" was Pooh bear book. but what was a genre of a Pooh bear book. She simply replied with: "Pooh bear." It wouldn't matter what the young man thought about her since she would know soon enough.
