The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

While she was unaware of what happened around her, Jupiter somehow not under the impression she was. He ordered a van to load in the presents and he wanted her attention. She however didn't notice him since she was to into the puzzle. She moved the buttons in a attempt to unwind the strings that where attached to it. It was a very nifty and intense puzzle even for her. Jupiter waved a hand in front of her nose and she simply moved it away. No interferance when she was puzzling. Jupiter however had other plans and he picked her up. She continued puzzling even if she was picked up by the big red man.
She was put into the car that was full of birthday presents and she was strapped in the seat. The tip of her tongue again moved a bit out of her mouth as she was putting the finishing touches on the puzzle. With the slide of the last few buttons she did it, the strings where lose. She smiled and put it gently on the dashboard. “Hey Hymn, you are still at the sanctuary, aren’t you?”
She turned around with her head a bit confused. She hadn't been paying attention to her surroundings and looked around. She then turned to Jupiter and nodded. She guessed she was heading home then.
There was a spark of hope, she could be taken home by the woman. Cailyn whiped her face to clean it up and said: "Really? " It would be a miracle if Tricity could seeing as Cailyn didn't know how she got here and Tricity probably didn't have a mind reader or anything at her disposal. Even though a spark of hope was one welcomes by the distressed young girl who was sitting on the floor against the wall.
"How bout you tell me where you live? I can drive you home then."
And with that the bubble of hope was pricked. She didn't know where it was, all she knew was that it was a big place in a big city, but that didn't really narrow things down. "I don't know." She said with a sniff. It would be troublesome to get home now seemingly.
While she was moving around the store, looking at all kinds of puzzles and other puzzly thingies, she didn't notice that Jupiter went to another section of store looking at the things there. She was to busy with looking around to even notice the young man following her and loading stuff in his cart. Nor did it matter, it was all allot of fun to look at.
After a while she came across a cube made of see-through plastic. It had buttons on the surface of it and it was connected to a button on the opposite side with a piece of black thread. The buttons could be moved across the trail that was put into it and the objective was to completly unwind the thread in the middle of the cube. It was like the holy grail for her. She never seen something like it but she knew what to do with it. She slowly picked it up and looked at it from different sides. She sat down on the ground and started tinkering with it, trying to unwind the thread completly and not paying attention to anything else. Not jupiter, not the man who loaded in all the stuff, not anything just the puzzle at hand.
Hymn decided to stay at the swimming pool area. Seemingly lots of people where having fun there and she was having one of her calm days, as she called it. It ment her powers where lazy and didn't do much exept maybe pick their nose or play card games with each other, she didn't know the latter for sure. Not that it mattered, they where on relax mode and it came at a good time aswel.
She couldn't swim though, which ofcourse would pose a problem at a swimming pool. She stood at the edge watching down the deep pool with big eyes. What was she going to do, the pool was to deep to stand in and if she would jump in she would drown. Not a very fun thing to do on a fun day.
She decided it was best to just stick her feet in. She climbed down the edge to sit on it with her feet in the water. She swung them around a couple of times making splashes as she looked around the crowd. She didn't know that many people though, she had seen some of them before.... somewhere. The water was cool and tickled her feet as she splashed around. It was fun as in water could be fun. She just couldn't swim so she just played with it a bit.
“Are you alright? Have some of this. I think the worst of the protesting is dying down, too. Oh, and watch out. The coffee’s a bit hot.”
She was focusing to much on her own control that she didn't notice a young man coming up to her. She was starled when the young man spoke to her. She examined him from up and down and realized she knew him from somewhere, she just couldn't recall from where. It was a problem she had with lots of faces, knowing them but not being able to place them. She blushed and looked down to her feet and nodded to the question the young man asked. She was kind of alright, though a bit starled from everything that was happening around her. First the tail of the kitty cat lady and now the fighting, it was all a bit scary to her.
After that she was handed a mug full of dark brownish stuff. She tilted her head confused as she looked at it. What was it and beter yet, how did it taste. Was it even drinkable, or was he trying to make her drink icky stuff and laugh at her. She sniffed the smell of the liquid that she was handed. It smelled pretty strong of something , but she had no clue what the something was. She quirked a brow and took a small sip. One sip couldn't hurt, could it ?
The sip was quick and painless but the taste was horrible. "Yuck." She said as she swallowed the brown liquid. It was strong flavored and somehow very addictive. She tried another sip and came to the conclusion it still was bad as she pulled a face that said Yuck all over again. This was definanly something she did not want to drink at all if not necesarry.
They entered bixby's shop that was seemingly still open. She always thought shops weren't open around this time... strange. Ow well nothing to break your mind about, the shop was open and puzzly goodness awaited her. A young man pointed them in the direction of the puzzles area. Cailyn swung her arms in the air out of excitement and skittered towards the puzzle area.
This area would have been considered a small piece of heaven for any puzzle fanatic like herself. Rubix cubes, normal puzzles, 3d puzzles, sudoko's, everything was here and for sale. She skittered around picking up all kinds of items and looking at them with amazement in her face. A unsolved rubix cube layed there as demonstration. She picked it up and started solving it with the tip of her tongue sticking out of her mouth. in a matter of minutes she was finished and ready to examine more of the stuff that was around her.
Hymn was released into the wild called the Mansion seemingly until she found out where home was and how to get there. Though today she had other things on her mind. She picked up that there was a pool party today. She had never been at the pool before and she couldn't swim but it didn't matter. Water was fun if it was undeep and ready to play in. Baths where very fun in that way.
She was running through the hallway like a happy little girl on her bare feet with a pair of short and a big tshirt on. She didn't have a swim suit so she had to do with what she got. She didn't know who was going to be there but she was a secret to the mansion as it is. She hadn't met anybody exept for the doctor and the headmistres in the mansion and she had sort of been avoiding people as it is. But today was different, being at the pool was more of a priority then avoiding people.
She almost slipped a couple of times on her bare feet because of the wooden floor but she was destined to see the pool today. A left, a right, down the stairs, through the door and then there was the shiny shinyness of the bright sun. She was blinded by it and accidentally bounced into the pretty blond girl in a robe. She fell on her but and squeeked. She rubbed it and said: "Sowwy." to the blond girl who she bounced into.
He found breaking walls fun seemingly. Hymn couldn't dent a stick of butter with a sledgehammer if she wanted, mainly because she couldn't life the hammer but the point is clear. She didn't know if smashing walls was fun but it would probably if you are able too. She shrugged it off. The other thing was he didn't really know what she could do in the first place, she herself didn't know it either though. She nodded in response to his questions. The red jolly man took it well that she could spook around in his head without warnings or control. He even mentioned that she should ignore some stuff from one of his brothers called Venus. Hymn made a mental note of that name. "What is your name?" She asked. She did not know seeing as there where allot of red man walking around.
They walked through the streets on their way to the shop. The jolly red man wondered what kind of puzzled she liked. She thought about it. She had done allot of puzzles in her life, mostly sudoku's and card puzzles. She never heard of tetris though. "I like all puzzles." She said with a nod. She was happy that she would get some new ones.
"We can sit here and still talk if you'd like," "I can tell you about my mutation... Or... You can ask me questions?"
Talking was so last century if there where voices in your head feeding you information. It wasn't recommended though to have voices in your head, people found it strange if they know stuff in advance like for instance Tricity's powers. That info was fed to her during their conversation. "You use electricity." She softly spoke. She was calmed down only because a soft music was dooming up again. It wasn't so loud as it would be if she would fully be under the influence of her power but still it was about to happen. She was scared and she wanted to go home. No more talking, no more people trying to pluck info out of her. "I just want to go home." She said with pauses between every word as she sniffed from her crying. She didn't know how to get home from here though since a car brought her here. The cars would have probably already left for the sanctuary and everyone would be there. Maybe they where looking for her, maybe they weren't. She was still scared and hoped that she wouldn't be send back to the asylum or that these people worked for her father.
The jolly red man didn't know where a shop was. Cailyn herself didn't know anything about the shops around here but she had been on adventures there before. Though she lacked the concentration to pay attention to the shops around. She didn't have the thing people called money either. It was a strange concept to exchange paper for good. But that was the way the cookie crumbled in this world. Paper for goods, goods for paper.
The red man asked a man to look one up. The man looked rather scared of the jolly red man though she could not grasp any scaryness. He quickly typed in things on his machine and he found one. It was amazing what you could get out of a machine these days. She didn't know how to handle those things anyways so it was best that there where people around her who knew. The man directed them towards the shop and Cailyn exepted the arm the Jolly red man extended.
” Not if you pummel through any random wall he thought to himself.
It was thought from him which she picked up. "Breaking walls isn't nice." She said to the jolly red man as if he was speaking the thought. This would raise the akward bar but she didn't know better. Anyways of they went to the shop.
The pixy lady hoped of her nose and took her normal looks. She didn't have any clothes though so her body was covered in clothes made insect. Beautifull butterflies where among them. Cailyn liked butterflies. Cailyn cleaned her glasses as Pixylady started to speak again.
"Well friend. If you want, I can pull some strings where he can get a job that he can easily be watched and tracked."
It was a tempting offer but no. having him monitered was useless seeing as he was stripped of his powers and he would probably end up in jail soon for fraude or something."No need for that." She said with a smile as she put her glasses back on and used her index to put them straight. "He is harmless now." She continued with a smile. "So what have you been up to lately." She asked to catch up. Since she worked at the mansion she didn't have much time to look up her old friends. Now seemed like the perfect time to catch up with somebody she didn't see for a long time.
The little bee landed on her nose. It tickled her. But back to the question. How did it feel indeed. It felt strange, exilirating and scary was something that that came to mind. But how would she explain that to the little bee lady. It was not that she knew what her father used to be capable off. "It felt weird." She said, and it wasn't a understatement. The fact that she sealed of his powers with her own, gaining more power herself was weird and unexplained. “So he won’t be bothering you anymore?”
"Indeed." She said. It was true, her father had no more powers to work with. His company was crushed by the fact that her father couldn't influence his way into deals etc. It was over for him. If he wanted to survive he would have to get a new job and start a new life and Cailyn hoped it was a life where she didn't play a part in. It was however funny to see a bee that was taking anger out of itself on her nose. it tickled but it was also funny to see a bee with a make fist slaming on her nose.
