The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Jorge
He blinked at the entrance that Shin made and had to smirk in relief as the airborne mystics were dealt with. He nodded his head to the golden armored man. "You do know how to make an entrance."
Hearing the crackle of that woman's comm in his ear, Jorge nodded as he felt the surge of water flow under his feet. Once the droplets began to hit him, he sighed in thanks. It was an amazing feeling and he chuckled.
Joined on the field with Becca, the detective smirked and nodded to her, suddenly lifting another sheet of water to douse a series of fiery birds flying at him.
He shrugged towards her. "Can't let you all have all the fun, can I?"
After his quip though, he hears the roar of engines followed by a clattering of noise. Gunfire and chanting is heard as Amelia comes on the line, warning them of a bigger attack. With a growl, Jorge starts running.
It doesn't take him long to find the spot where Ami is being overwhelmed. Charging forward, Jorge begins pulling a swirling mass of water behind him. While in front he puts up a moving shield of swirling water. It catches the bullets headed his way but nearly topples when it's surface is frozen by a spell. Jorge shatters that surface for more moving water and again another incantation freezes it. Over and over Jorfe repeats this until he has eyes on the one doing it. Then, just as he hears the incantation reach its end, Jorge suddenly drops the shield and swings his other arm as if pitching a baseball with his entire body. But this was no ball. It was a huge mass of water he had been accumulating behind him that suddenly was thrown forward. Instead of the shield turning to ice, the mass did and thanks to Jorge's momentum flew towards the ambushing party as he ran to Ami's side. Quickly he talked into his comm.
"This is Neptune. I got to Ami. Need extraction or someone to anti-magic the blindess! Now!"
Hexes were flying left and right. Serena could hear the chatter over the comms and also see the battle from the front steps of the Mansion. Some of the green lights aimed for her, but bounced from her sunglasses; one mystic crumpled with a surprised yell. "Not today." Serena smirked as her glasses bounced the hex. She could feel the pull of Hecules' powers though; she could't just stay out in the open and take direct hits like this. Someone else - Ami - went down blind for another one.
"On it!" Serena moved quickly, staying low as she covered the short distance to where Neptune and Ami were crouched. "Cover us." She dragged Ami unceremoniously to the corner of the building for some scant cover. "I can't take the hex off but I might be able to tweak it." she said, reaching into her pocket and rummaging for a pair of hideous earring someone had gifted to her before he got dumped for a fashion crime. They had large pearls set in them. Serena held one in her palm, murmuring a spell before he closed her fist, feeling the earring dissipate into magic energy. She placed her hand over Ami's eyes. She hoped it would work. Her spell was not going to cancel out the blindness... but with some luck, it would give Ami another way to see.
Aura- She nodded as Lenna mentioned the sleep darts as cover it would help a lot, anything they could bring to bear would. She took the stun gernade and considerd it for a moment. Non-lethal of course. This whole day woulda been way easier ig lethal rms were being used, dead opponents never hit you again, but this was not her house and slowly she was learning to play by their rules.
Aura heard the call to battle and her aura flared to life around her. As she walked blades flowed from the Aura around her fingertips untill they eache xtended nearly a foot from her. It was all part of the show of intimidation she used. The mystics however if the cared they did not show it much, instead she spotted a tall bald man point at her and grin.
Aura was about to charge him when she saw a cop from the mrc she thoguht from his face, he was surrounded, So Aura charged the four zen yards and cut through a cat like demon that had about to kill the man. As he pulled back the four mystics who had been attacking him approached her two copied her forming long blue-green swords in their hands and armor that looked old even to aura though it reminded her of her time in Japan.
Aura cought the first blade with her own and twirled to block the other coming from behind "I AM AURA. I AM WAR!" She said striking a Mystic hard enough to knock him to the ground but the knock out blow was against prevented by an Animal this time a summoned Lion. Aura ignored the lion and swung again, she cut a msytics should deep but the majority of her blade bit deep into the tree she had been standing by she felt her aura take the now familiar magic blasts as she turned to engage.
mai called out targets as they came over the radio trying to let them know where possible breaches might come into play, she had dodged a clumsily thown beam of green but she had not seen where it came from. She took a swing at the third but a shimmering hawk flew down and took the blow slowly it enough for the mystic to block the attack. The Mystics began to form a circle around her between them Lions or maybe tigers? she had no idea and it only made her smile when parted the head from the first summoned animal.

Luna stared in fear of the battle before her. Was this what the x men did? Was this what they fought? It gave even their biggest fangirl a pause. The pause could not hold long however as a group of Mystics break the fence in the rear of the mansion. Luna turned, aimed and fired two squirts in their path, pne struck where the planned in front of the Mystics the other went very high and struck one right between the eyes. the man screamed in pain as his eyes burned from the very smelly ammo. She was afraid sure, but she decided she would get through it. the Mansion needed her as much as needed it. She felt a hand grab her from behind but was able to driver her claed feet down the man's leg making him screamed n let go, she then turned and punched the man in the neck to knock him out

Aoi did not like to fight but at the last moment had decided she would defend her homw, defend those who had accepted her even if had destroyed the kitchen three times, once by throwing a fridge at a zombie crocodile. Aoi ran on all fours paws and it felt good. The Bear offerd no resistance today, instead she felt its curiousness and even excitement for the coming fight. Aoi spotted a Mystic and ran, letting out a growl as the Mystic raised gis hands much to late to cast and found himself trying to peel himself off the shoulder of the still charging polar bear before eventually falling off and Aoil managed to only step on him once. She hoped the claw marks were deep. She stood her full nine feet in the air and let out a thunderous cry lifting the mystic in one paw and then throwing him over her shoulder casually.
Blind, moved on her own. Almost helpless. She felt like a baby. To her senses, it all started with a sloshing, swirling sound she struggled to place, Amid the screams and … and what she could only describe as stock sound board “space laser”… also, explosions and gunfire. It almost sounded like when ice cracks when plopped into a soda glass, only on a grander scale. Several times. Then, a familiar voice from a long time ago, someone called Neptune, had her. Calling for help. Which arrived in short order.
The voice was feminine. A Quick murmur, incantation? And then a hand over her eyes. Sight came back, but like the lady had said, different. Tweaked. And she saw—
As vision returned, Amelia Mellitus saw a very pretty middle-aged lady dressed to the nines in black. And white. The whole world, in fact, was a contrast of blacks and whites and grays. She smiled a crooked smile at the woman.
“Thanks, pretty lady. It’s grayscale now. Whole world is in a Snapchat filter, but that is worlds better than what it was…” She could almost kiss her. But— battle. Danger. In fact. Amelia raised her left hand up past one side of the woman’s head, and opened it. Closed her eyes for a second, and let a construct -pulse- into the black glove. It flew off her hand, in a straight line, closing as she opened her eyes to control it.
Now that she could see, she could fight. A construct in a physical form could interact with the physical world, beyond clothes. Amelia fired a glove rocket punch straight through an incoming minute meteor. It came out the other side, as the Missile several yards away scattered into sparks and ashes. The glove swung back around, and slid back into her left hand. It was only slightly worse for wear.
“Thanks again. Whoever you are. You too, 🐹Neptune.” They HAD said Neptune. One name was good as any right now.
Hexes were flying in towards them, one bounced off of his club while another few hit those around them. Looking up Hercules found one of the attackers and tossed his club upwards the mystic wasn’t prepared for the speed nor the weight of the weapon, they continued onward with an upward trajectory till they were out of the fight and sent back towards the mansion gates.
A mystic was snatched out of the air as they tried to fly past the demi-god. ”What’s this!?! You would try to ignore me? A god! Ha ha! You foolish mortals!” the sprinklers came on and started to dose his body as the moisture seemed to help him glow more. “I shall let non pass as I still draw breath!”
Another round of projectiles flew towards him and he hefted the mystic he caught and used the man as a shield. “Projectiles!?! Does no one have the courage to face me in battle!?!”
His answer came soon after, vehicles appeared before them and started to charge. Hercules tossed the hexed mystic to the side and called his club roaring with laughter! “Serena! Bare witness to my might! Stand behind me!” the club came zooming back and landed in his hand with a loud crack before he threw it again at one of the vehicles.
The club buried itself into the ground right before the van rolled over onto its side making it next to useless. The god still had no idea that Serena was off helping Amielia in the corner of the building his eyes were focused forward. The flames of Rex of the inferno deterred the other vehicle only for a moment. It started to move forward sending a few hexes flying at his allies.
Hercules charged stopping the vehicle and hefting it above his head. “Is this all you come with!?!” it was hardly a challenge to the god but only then did he notice that the numbers of mystics were increasing. He threw it at the nearest wave of mystics who were exiting the same portal the vehicles came out of.

“Are pretending we trust each other completely? I can do that if you want.” he said back to Sabine, Sam had reason to mistrust anyone who abducted mutants or started that way. Trust was earned, though this was a good start to building more of it.
“It doesn’t, makes it easier to work our magic. Remember the volcano?” Sam asked ducking a blast of heat that zoomed past him and exploded in green when it hit a frozen mystic. “Sides, gives us the home field advantage.” unless the army of mystics could control water and ice as well.
Shin arrived next and Sam got hit with a touch of nostalgia, these were people who he’d lay his life down for without any questions asked. His family, and this was their home. “Bout time!” he said with a chuckle throwing another mystic into a reflection and holding them there for Maya.
Jorge responded to the call to the rescue after the sprinklers kicked on. With another chuckle he looked to the nearest group of mystics, all of which were wielding some glowing weapons. They were smiling, good. They thought they had an advantage. After Jorge left, however, Sam felt a little more relaxed about using his abilities.
The water droplets on the mystics turned to ice and quickly grew upwards until each of the mystics in the group closest to him froze in place. Their expressions turned sour and Sam kept moving forward to the entrance. He needed to seal it off to give the rest of the defense a chance to regroup.
“I’ll make a bottle neck!” he shouted and started blasting at the front of the mansion walls which quickly erupted in ice. “Cover me!” he shouted to his teammates that were still around.

Aoi shook her head as the peeled herself off the mansion wall with more then a little crumbling of drywall. She shook her head and flexed her back feeling pain coming in from all over bit nothing seemed broke. The Bear was angry and so was Aoi. Pain could be delt with later, though the Bears nose told her she had been cut in her back.
Even so they both gave pause after a Man picked up a van and Aoi had a thought that maybe she was not exactly needed here in a war zone.
Still it looked like the strong man and whoever the guy with the Saber was needed help and she had decided to stay. With a mighty roar She bounded forward, at a mystic whose focus was on Hercules and ran into him along with another of the Mystics. Rising up and tossing one of the mystics still clinging to her arm to the ground he whimpered and passed out.
"Too many of them!" Maya called back, busy ferrying mystics into the reflections. She had lost count. Eventually most of them would fall out, either because she stretched her powers to their limits, or because Sam melted the ice. Did't matter. She just had to keep fighting. As Sam started piling up snow and ice, she moved out of the way... into an ice mirror that got hit with a bullet. "SHIT!" Maya rolled out into the wet grass, bleeding from a spiderweb of wounds on her side. "F**ers!" She struggled to her feet again, ducking for cover as she unhooked her bow. It was time to shoot back.
"I'll bill you later." Serena smirked at Ami. So, her spell worked. Peachy. Hercules was yelling her name, and Ami kept fighting, apparently seeing things again. Good. As she stood up, Serena felt the drain of Hercules showing off his powers - glowing in the sprinklers' rain, throwing cars. Serena gasped, steadying herself. "Watch it, big guy! I'm trying to work here!"
Javier felt somewhat guilty for punching the guy through the hedge... then again, mystics were trying to break into a school and open a demon portal, so he kinda had it coming. Booker and the skunk girl certainly thought so. Booker yelled, and Javier turned to look, seeing a swirling vortex of... something. "Booker! Get away from there!" He could jump up to help him... but the moment he was in his aura, he'd lose his powers. Dammit. He looked back around; mystics were approaching, clearly having gone around from the main fight on the other side of the building. "Backup, anyone?" he called through the comms. We got someone summoning something in the back here..."

Elizabeth was already running through the mansion, beelining for the backdoors. As she moved, so did the animals she'd stored inside the place. Even the animals outside the building moved with her, from birds to murder hornets. She had a dozen eyes on the scene of the portal as another voice called for backup. "Elizabeth speaking. I'm bringing the cavalry to the rear of the mansion. Please refrain from killing any of the bugs."
Her forces were leaving the main fight at the court to its defenders - at this point, with Mr. Cervantes, Sam, Rex, Hercules, Shin, and a half dozen other people Liz only vaguely recognized fighting the new crowd of mystics, she would be better suited to the back as a one-woman army.
A plague of insects descended on the back of the mansion, followed by a genocide of birds (because murder felt too small). She flung open one of the doors and a stream of dogs, cats, squirrels, rats, raccoons, skunks, foxes, guinea pigs, and various other woodland creatures stampeded out. They immediately set about attacking anyone that Liz didn't recognize.
An unkindness of ravens swooped into the library, along with a German shepherd. They fell in and out of Elizabeth's control as they variously entered the Adapted aura, but they were smart creatures. The ravens were led by Huninn and Muninn and the dog was Zorro. She'd worked with all three of them extensively so when she gave them the orders to protect the Adapted, she was confident they'd obey and corral the other ravens into doing the same.
The burning bush exploded into fiery sparks as the Humvee rolled over it and Rex didn't both throwing up another. There wasn't much reason too - within a few crucial seconds, Hercules managed to take out both vehicles.
Rex wavered when someone called out to remove a hex, but when he turned to see the victims' position, a burst of gunfire clattered around him. "Father, protect us!" he said toward the heavens. He snuck another quick look and saw a woman crouched over another, but as Hercules and the other defenders were unconcerned, Rex assumed they were allies. Especially when the other woman got up and immediately attacked the horde spilling out of the portal.
More mystics were streaming through the portal, enabling them to neatly funnel their forces and split the defenders in twain. It needed to be destroyed so they could try to consolidate their defenses.
"For the Lord God is a sun and shield!" Rex shouted triumphantly as he raised his left arm. Blazing white-hot sunfire flared into the blinding, burning shape of a round shield on Rex's arm. The weight was minimal, and while he felt the heat and saw the light, it didn't burn or blind him. With the shield of solid, molten energy before him, Rex rolled to his feet and began running in a circle to come at the portal from behind.
Enchanted bullets struck at him but they melted or exploded harmlessly against his shield. Most missed, his shield burning their eyes as they stared into a miniature sun. He charged forward, the shield growing in size until it form a semi-sphere in front of him, absorbing projectiles and attacks until he made it to the portal. Then he twisted and slashed his saber of light through it, burning through the magic empowering it.
The portal exploded and Rex went flying back along with a half dozen other mystics and a simultaneous explosion erupted from the woods.
