The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Luna had intended to distract the Mystic and now after watching him get hit with a gun the size of a telephone pole she was rethinking her choice. She fired her shot but it was consumed and only added though minorly to the flames. She could...she could.... she had no out. She felt Javier grab her and then felt her stomach dropped and she despoited what was in her stomach below.
"I could not do a thing...."she said looking back toward the fight. She had been entirely outclassed and she had known that deep down. She had been so eager to prove herself she could have easily gotten herself killed. "Thank you" she said more quietly. She nervously
the glass protected her fur from the shards of glass. she felt disappointed and powerless. She had hoped she could have helped but their were so many heavy hitters out there and she only had shots left anyway. She nervously ran her claws through her fur and punched the wall with her other hand. "ow" she said. She hoped Sam would not be disappointed in her.

Aoi shook her head, the Bear still felt the pain but was enraged and Aoi joined it wrath, blinded by rage. Aoi charged a 900-pound animal moving. Few realized a Polar Bear could reach 25mpr/40kmh. She struck a random mystic in the back, never noticing him or her paws landing on his body as he moved.
Aoi forced the bear not to roar to announce its challenge as she was charging the cataclysm from the back. She swatted another Mystic taking aim at a mansion window that she heard shatter, the man flung aside, with deep claws marks.
Aoi moved, she could smell her target, even with all the bodies. She thought she struck a bird at some point but was not entirely sure. it was not important. As she got close (if she gets close) Aoi would rise to her hind legs and throw a pair of overhead slashes with her claws. Her rage blinding her Aoi fell to the bears instinct, kill the threat.

Jorge
The detective stood back as the Mystics who had come in on the humvee were hammered away by others. He didn't know everyone's names but if they were here to defend the mansion then he was grateful. However the calm would not last as another mystic, riding on air and shooting fire, flew into the scene.
This was a heavy hitter.
Jorge did what he could to defending, moving people to safety, dodging incoming fire, but this guy certainly seemed on a new level. Not only that, but he was going all out. With a growl Jorge advanced towards him.
"You sonnavabitch!" He snapped. With each step water burst from underneath pipes, flooding the field where Steel hadn't already frozen. As the water flowed it wrapped around the detective tighter and tighter. Water rose up and followed behind his steps until a near tidal wave stood behind him. "You think you can control what I've spent a lifetime understanding? I'm not some shitty magician, boy!" The water crashed down around him, his body vanishing in the churning waves until it reformed and grew into a titan of an elemental with Jorge's face. "I'm a god!"
Towering upon the lawn, Jorge spread as much water about as he could, dousing fires, protecting others, and trying to hold himself together against the wind and whatever elemental manipulation the mystic had.
“Oh?” the man stopped his attack. A mortal. What an amazing era, the god of strength being outmatched in brawn. Not only once but twice in a month. Hercules smiled faltered when he insulted the god’s tattoos. They were his deeds, his faults and all that he loved. It was a testament to who he was and why he loved humanity so much.
Then the impact and the god blinked he was sent flying, too fast to call his club it only drawn more magic. Serena was suffering as it was already. The prince of power flew through wall after wall of his new home, the school. It wasn’t the tour he was expecting but it gave him a quick glimpse into the classrooms. Which one belonged to Elizabeth?
His pain was momentary. His enchanted hide protected him from most of the damage. However it was clear as day to Hercules the toll it was taking on Serena. Even if he couldn’t see her. How was Madison fairing?
“William.” he said loudly hoping his voice would carry if the communication device didn’t. He felt another surge of power as he shifted his focus point from Serena back to William who had spent the better part of the day storing as much magic as possible. “Thank you.” Was all the god said before he charged back the way he came ignoring a few of the cuts that he didn’t want to waste power healing.
“Agi-” before he finished emerging from the mansion walls the god stopped short as one of the mutants turned to a wall of water. It was like his uncle Poseidon himself was in front of him exacting revenge. It was awe inspiring. However he’d have to hold the awe, his master needed him.
Quickly closing the distance between them, “How bad?” Hercules roared as he backhanded the mystic off Serena.
The fire mystic had landed right in her. Serena had not dodged in time. As Amelia rushed forward, the flames stayed the exact same color to her. White. She braced herself for the heat, and tried a shove. It… was not as hot as she would have thought.
“Magic,” she sighed. Then she went back to shoving as hard as she could, smacking the mystic again and again. They were huge, though. They hit back, and sent her tumbling several steps back, onto her ass. Just in time, it turned out.
Water crashed along the battlefield, putting out fires and forming walls as it went by. The water rushed over the flaming mystic and Serena. It would have hit her, if she had not been moved. Then, Hercules appeared seemingly from out of nowhere. She had completely missed him being tossed through a building. There was drywall dust in his hair.
The big tattooed man backhanded the formerly flaming mystic across the courtyard. Amelia approached, just as he asked Serena how bad she had been hurt.
“He fell out of the sky onto her legs, on fire. And then she got hit by a wave of water. Which is hell on fabrics if you haven’t enchanted them against it. Here,” She offered the woman an arm up. If her legs weren’t broken, she could still fight. Use help, but still. Fight.
“Probably cold. I can lend you my leather jacket. It’s mostly fire and waterproof. Some force, too.”
The splashing of water on his face roused Rex from unconsciousness. He blinked and winced as pain ran through his body as he took his bearings. The explosion of the portal had flung him....not too far from the mansion itself. Nothing looked the same though. The lawn was mostly blackened and scorched, a massive hole was in the front of the mansion, and even chunks of the roof had collapsed. The sky overhead was filling with hundreds of small black shapes harrying the flashing figures of a few remaining fliers and...
"Dios mio!" he breathed as he caught sigh of the waterman. Rex started pulling himself to his feet as he saw the tattooed man with a flame-wreathed arm facing down the self-proclaimed god. A surge of irritance flood Rex but he used that to keep himself moving.
Then Hercules's actions drew Rex's attention, even as water began splashing everywhere. Rex staggered and suppressed a moan of aching pain as he approached Hercules, Amelia, and the other woman. For a moment, it seemed there was a reprieve on the battlefield, as the waterman faced down the fireman.
"Are you hurt?" he asked the downed woman. "I'm trained as a paramedic."
Javier looked at Luna with sympathy. He knew the feeling. "Hey. Hey." he said as she punched the wall. "It's not your fault. You did great. That... out there is... something else." Way, way out of her league. Out of his league too, honestly but at least he had super strength on his side. Javier sighed, looking out the broken window. So many mystics. And high stakes: if the school fell, there would be a portal into another realm... He looked back at Luna.
"You can still help. You know this school well, right? You can go around and make sure no one snuck in. You are quick. You have you comms. We can't be everywhere all the time... Patrol the building." Javier moved back towards the window. Time to put up a fight. "And if you meet Booker... the guy who was with me... Tell him to stay safe?"
Serena was most decidedly not okay. She had a flaming mystic that fell on her, and the battle was still raging all around... Until a wave of water doused everything that was burning. Including Serena. She yelped in a very undignified way, and managed to shake the water out of her hair and eyes by the time both Amelia and Hercules arrived to the scene. Herc made quick work of the mystic. Once she was freed, Serena moved her legs tentatively, and groaned.
"Funny you should say that" she muttered to Amelia "My clothes are enchanted... Good thinking, though. This is why I'm not wearing the expensive ones" she noted, avoiding the fact that she still looked more expensive that the Mansion team's collective paycheck.
"Well, a flaming man just landed on my legs so no I'm not really okay" he snapped, although without much bite, at Hercules and the paramedic guy. "But... I don't think it's broken?..." She moved her legs again. Sprained, maybe. Bruised, definitely. "I'm not much use though. All I got is Molotovs, which seems damn redundant right now. I can help deflect hexes and spells like I did with Amelia... other than that I'm a glorified battery for Hercules. So. Herc. Go back to... smashing. I'm gonna just... stay over here and run support, how about that?" She tapped her communicator. "Serena here, I'm down, side of the building. Bring me people who need unhexing."
The Cataclysm realized the bear was there almost too. "Oho! Someone thinks they're smarter than the average bear!" he said as he twisted around, and a vanishing tattoo meant a gust of air whirled him several yards to the side out of the way of the polar bear. Malice flashed in his gaze and a diamond pattern faded off the back of his hand as he flung a swathe of razor-sharp shards of emerald energy at the bear.
By this point, someone else was just begging to die.
Water came down, dousing many of the flames, and Constantinos spun to great the new challenger. "Finally! A challenge! I've been waiting for you!" he said, his eyes lighting up. Even when Detective Cervantes, who was a high-profile target for the Cult, shifted into water and began morphing into a bound tsunami, Constantinos just began to quiver with excitement. The whirlwind shifted and took him into the air until he was approximately eye level with the man, the spinning wind keeping him dry of any stray droplets.
"I learned this one in the hopes you'd appear!" he yelled. "Tell the other gods I killed I hope they're burning in Hell!"
He raised his hands and aimed them at the elemental as a Celtic-style tattoo of a storm cloud vanished from his entire chest. Electricity began crackling around him then dozens of bolts of plasma began rapidly arcing from his hands, stabbing outward at everything in front of him like one of those plasma balls. Unlike those balls, however, this lightning would scorch and painfully shock anyone who got hit by it. But that wasn't its main function. You didn't use lightning to hurt someone who had no fleshly, burnable form.
You used electrolysis.
Whenever the plasma arcs struck water, they launched chain reactions that would spread through the bodies of water like greasefire, electrically splitting the water molecules apart, releasing so much oxygen and hydrogen into the air.
Serena looked up, distracted from what was going on around her as the Supreme's voice boomed over the noise. The water-god was impressive... but so was the Supreme. And as he began to gather crackling energy about him, even Serena could see what the end game was supposed to be. Water. Electricity.
"FCK."
No time to explain. She was never going to make it close enough, but everything around them was pools of water now - and adjacent to the water-god. Serena lunged for the closes pool, to the water moving against gravity pulled by Cervantes' powers. She grabbed what she could from her pocket, a necklace of saltwater pearls worth a small fortune, and plunged her hands into the water as her spell burned it all up.
Maybe it would be enough.
If she had stopped to think about it, it would have felt ridiculous, her going up against a battle-spell like that, cast by a Supreme. Or being anywhere near an actual battle* in the first place. For better or worse, though, she didn't have time to stop and think. She cast her spell to spin the effects of the plasma bolts on the water. Putting what she had into the spell as one bolt after another hit; she had a few more items to burn. Hoping it would be enough to change something deadly into... something less deadly. For the big guy at least. Anyone else hit by the plasma bolts... was on their own.

> Shin As Mirror fought, Shin took a moment to readjust his… brain. His chest hurt. Maybe ribs were bruised, maybe cracked. Not broken. He would have noticed that. Far greater pain, but—
Nice shots, Mirror. He almost missed those, what was he saying?
Nothing, nothing at all. “… ow.”
Situational Awareness flooded him as mirror approached. No, oh no. As she went to raise a hand so she could place him in the mirror universe, he tried, really tried, to draw in the shards from his shield so that they would come with them. But it was a question of distance and the speed of thought. Mirror was closer than the shards. As they both vanished on the inside, the shards vanished on the outside. He should have signed up for extra dimensional roaming.
As he came out of the second mirror, Shin swore.
Jail?
“I’m gonna—gonna need time to generate more shards. Distance, poof. Glad your bandage didn’t poof or that would be bad. Good idea, jail, but— time. My ribs hurt. Thanks for the relocation… even if I complained.” He made a face. Then, Shard looked at the layout of the current battle.
Hercules had shouted his name enough he could place him. Jorge, the boss. He watched for a second as a tattoo vanished, and the electrical attack surged into the watery form. Hmmm
Into the comms, Shin announced: “Do his tattoos do anything? Unless my eyes— something— that one just, poofed.” Off the comms, to Mirror, Shin added:
“Mirror, want me to make a distracting reflective helmet so you can reach out and punch him into the mirror dimension through his face?” He did not wait for an answer, shin just stood and closed his eyes to focus on summoning shards. So many shards.

Jorge
The detective, even in this watery state could feel the sheer powering coming off this mystic. It was no wonder he was saved for last. But the detective wasn't shaken. Jorge had faced worst, mutants and criminals of all kinds. And that's all this man was...another criminal.
The towering water elemental showed no fear at the forming of the plasma ball. Jorge was well aware of his weakness to it so he had to come up with a plan. Said plan wouldn't be fast enough...that is until he felt something different flowing through his body.
Being made of water was...confusing at first. It was a different way to sense the world, surely. Flowing and undulating, you begin to understand every part that flows throughout. Jorge remembered that from his time spread out across the ocean. Sometimes he could feel every grain of sand kicked up by the churning waves.
Sand. That one mystic, Serec, she had placed her hands into one of the pools of water surrounding him, flowing into him, and her magic was converting something. Changing the oncoming effect of the plasma. He was going to get hit, but what mattered was what was hit.
The first spike of plasma hit. A few seconds later there was a heavy thunk and shatter on the ground. A second and third hit and more follow. The offending Mystic, this Cataclysm, would see down and see...arching shards of broken glass?
Jorge smirked and shrugged. "Never heard of fulgurite?"
The plasma hit but instead of electrolysis through water it instead struck sand which Jorge had pumped, thanks to Serena, throughout his body and pushed to the front. Little arching spears of glass fell from the elemental's body, fulgurite, as he thinks of a way to get around this mystic.
Inspired by a former visit to Las Vegas while vacationing with Gemma, pillars of water began to shoot up from the ground, towering high in a circle around the Mystic. Suddenly Jorge, in human form, jumped from his elemental body and setting foot on one pillar, then leaping to the next, and the next, working his way around to the Cataclysm's flank as he summoned water from each pillar to form a massive fist of churning liquid. Only when he was in the mystics blindside did Jorge swing, sending the massive fist flying towards him...sand collected and amassed towards the front.
"Ahhh! AHHHHH! JAVI! THERE'S A STARLIGHT PIG CHASING ME!!" Booker shouts into the comm.
After the ordeal with the imps breaking in, things had calmed down quite a bit inside the mansion. A few intrusions, but nothing he couldn't handle. His favorite has been playing Whack-a-Mole with one mystic who tried to teleport in. Various portals open and from each one the mystic stuck in a hand or foot or head, to which Booker laid into him with his baseball bat. It was quite fun!
That is until the pig appeared.
It was beautiful at first. Booker watched as these pinpoints of starlight appeared in front of him. Dazzling and twinkling. But then they took shape, each one connected by a beam of light until a wire frame construct in the shape of a boar was formed. Instantly it locked eyes with Booker and the librarian could do little else but break into a run.
Now he was running through the mansion corridors, the living constellation of a massive boar chasing behind him, snorting and knocking over anything in its path. All the while, Booker scraped.
"JAVI! SOMEONE! I NEED AN EXIT PLEASE!" As he ran he jabbed behind him with the bat, the boar unfazed by it.
Javier was about to head out the window and back into the fray... when a whole lot of things happened at once. Outside, the main mystic started throwing lightning everywhere, and Jorge took over the fight against him... while through the comms came Booker's voice, yelling for help. "There's a what?..." Javi called, but he was already moving through the room and out into the hallway. His boyfriend was calling for help, after all. He could not punch a flying, lightning-throwing mystic anyway - not if even Hercules failed - but he was definitely the closest person in the building to help.
"I'm on my way Books!" he called back, listening simultaneously for Booker's yelling, and the sounds of crashing down the hallway. And then, he turned a corner, and almost barreled into Booker. He could feel the effect of his aura before they collided, and he grabbed Booker at the shoulders, pulling him around the corner, continuing his momentum. "Keep going!" There was not much of a chance Javi could put up a fight while Booker was within range.

Birds. There was his air support. More useful than Zek and Carrick.
There was a blast of something, “Magic” he cursed and held up an ice encased arm as the armor slipped off him into a clone. Stepping back he iced back up and looked to the man who appeared next to him. It was someone he didn’t know. But he was here to help. Part of Sam wanted to swing at him just in case. It was a warzone after all.
Sam eyed the green comet impact the school and vanish. There was their heavy hitter. Fire erupted next and he saw someone jump into the school. Was that Javier. Nope. He wouldn’t be here.
Looking back to the newcomer, “Good!” Sam said as he grabbed the man and pulled him to the side as red blip of energy through the space that was occupied by the man’s head. “Behind!” before shooting a beam of blue at the attacker who froze in place.
“Move.” Sam said guiding him, “How can you help? That guy needs to be stopped if we are going to get through this.” he said pointing to the tattoo’d covered mystic who was dispatching elements and spells like crazy. Sam already saw two elements and some shield from the man, not to mention the monstrous strength.
“I’d say Herc, but it looks like he isn’t strong enough.” responding to Mirror over the coms. That was when things changed quickly. Jorge stepped in. Then the lighting came. “****”
