The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Agreed open warfare is what we need. Back in the woods we cared not what the humans might do, we lashed out struck down any human we found. Given most were firing at us. Personally i think we should hit the city's major police stations hard, just enough to throw them all into chaos. Without the police the city id ours" she said confidently and with a smile. "Though the drug Lori made gives humans powers like ours for a short time, the drug has proven to be quite fetal to humans. If we could slip that drug into any number of location, like the public drinking water, we could have so much fun on our hands" she said liking her secound plan much better then the first if nothing else then becuse she would get to see an array of beautiful powers and the humans would know for a fleeting time what it was like to matter.
"I am a soilder and i do agree our interests would be best served by fighting the humans openly. I do enjoy combat quite a bit though i believe our mentality is different. I do not know about anger being dominant in people. It has been some time since i saw a real fight, drug dealers and homeless people make poor opponents. It is to bad you did not gain control of the order, i like your ideas much better" she said which was true, Aura preferred to operate in the open whare she could.
"Still what can we do? I know a few other mutants that would choose to walk our path. If i sat at the head of the order the streets would run red with the blood of the humans. It is a shame they taste so bad though" she said shaking her head even as she pet the skunk which simply laid of her lap. "It is also quite diffacult to extract bones for crafting furnature without killing a human, though a blow torch i find helps" she said though she ahd no idea why, she knew the bleeding stopped when enough heat was applied to an area.
Aura was happy the girl pointed to what a topaz was as she honestly had no idea. Jewels were not aura's strength. Though with this girl around she might learn. Aura took note she could not shift into metals, it seemed an important thing to remember in case she had to work with the girl one day. "Good im combat that's what you will want to use then. Aura had another question but decided to wait to ask it.
Aura had no way to protect Lydia from the first blow, But Aura made sure their would not be a second. Aura brought an aura made axe down on the robot's back whare a human's spine would have been. Aura had no idea Lydia was this green, bu she had to learn and she had to let Lydia do the next one herself. " Fight, imagine if you will these people just stabbed you best friend or your mother, they will die if you son win. Through a punch or a kick at them and remember the humans that hunt your friends won't hesitate to gun each of you down. You can protect them, it's ok to be scared, but you have to act to win any situation. " she said trying to comfort the other girl.
"remember these robots are not really people, you can't hurt them really" she said hoping that might help the girl out as well. She hoped it did as the next two humans began to make their was closer to the pair. Aura this time bent down and picked up the sword sheath and slowly took out the blade. Dropping the sheeth she walked torward the human. Her Aura however was no longer around her, the man she found produced a bat. On her first swing Aura cleaved the bat in two, the human robot backing away.
Aura smiled as the door, closed. Aura let her aura surround her is a soft translucent glow. "Sanctuary is the only all mutant community in the city. It offers Mutants free room and board. I Live there myself actually." she said as the girl asked if their was anything she needed to know. "The place is run be Lori Fuast, of fuast pharmaceuticals and sanctuary is finded through them. " she went on. She was hoping to avoid the two good to be true route.
"I have met a great number of our kind..." she started before she ehard cree start and a series of obsene words coming from the driver seat, aimed out the window. "My Power is my Aura" she said, this time holding her hand up. Her Aura raced to her fist and quickly began forming an axe and then a sword and finally a large ice cream scoop. She then let her Aura weapons flow back with the rest of her Aura. "I would enjoy hearing more of what each of you can do if your up to it." She asked even though she put a worried eye on red.
"Can i ask you, your opinion on human's?" she asked with a smile, more to cree as she did not feel Red would respond.. "Many of us at Sanctuary hold a ......low opinion on humans. Others believe humans and mutants can live in peace. Either way living at sanctuary you a lot of sad tales" she said shaking her head. "you all right over thare red?" she asked adopting cree' nickname for her. The Van took a sharp turn followed by more profanity all of which aura ignored.
Aura lwt out a feral cry when Tasean was struck by the rock. Aura viewed a mutant being harmed by a human as a serious criminal act. Her Aura shielded her from the rain of blows of the now much more crowded room. Aura Swung Her Hammer, which landed with a loud crack on the shoulder of a human. Her Aura would only hold for so long even under a serious of weak of weak blowes. Aura was angry and showed it as she formed a dagger on her kneee and used it to stab a human in the stomach.
Aura tried her best to keep her mind calm, but looking again at the unmoving body of Tacean, forced any semblance of mercy Aura might have shown. The Hammer formed into a drill which Aura swung, and only clipped a stumbling human across the back of the head. Changing her mind Aura formed her drill into an Axe. Looking around she realized she had lost sight of Tacean. She did however see a rather large glass window.
Aura's axe only missed because of her rage,, instead of killing the thug, she had merely made it so he could now only count to two on his right hand. "Ansrew, , office guy?" she called out having a thought to see if they were alive, even as a man knocked her onto her back. For a moemnt Aura could see just how high up they were. Letting her Aura weapons flow back into her Aura. SHe regained her feet Swinging again, her Axe missed as the man fell back to avoid it. "A Pity when you find those of us who can fight!" she said to the humans in the room. "Crap" she moaned and then headed back into the fray.
"I would enjoy that, i do enjoy sitting near the door at sanctuary watching each new mutant's powers and their looks." Aura said though their was more to it then that. Aura felt if she knew what each mutant could do then she could better fight them, or fight with them as the case might be. Aura truly believed their was little more beautiful then their mutations. "Whoever she is should be a worthy adversary in the dance, would not wnat them to die to easily" she said assuming they would likely both be fighting and killing humans.
"I do know the human police have learned to shoot before they ask me to put my hand sup" she said which was true. Mainly because when they did advise her to do so, she put up her Aura and attacked them. Now they were just happy to have an open shot at her. "Maybe but they do tend to cry wolf a lot, theirs been times whare i have killed humans just to end their whining." she said which was true. Aura sometimes did choose not to kill, but most of the time ended up doing so anyway.
"very true, i voiced my concern upon it after Syn fell. In the woods if you saw a human, they were pray and you killed them or they would certainly kill you. Holding back the urge to simply kill humans has been tough, i went from killing several people per day to maybe once or twice a week, and normelly some pathetic drug dealer with bad aim" she said honestly. She had no love for Lori's plan, save for one thing. "Even if the humans bombed sanctuary by plane, the news would spark mutant riots, whare a great many humans would fall trying to stop the carnage." she saw excited by the very idea of a mutant human war. "Still Lori has made sanctuary, mutant only, less humans live near sanctuary and the mutant population in the area is also up. And you do get to play when a human does not pay their protection money, i have killed a number of people for failure to pay, but normelly broken furniture does wonders." she said realizeing she had gone way off topic. She was not quite a fan of Lori's vision for the order. Aura knew however that orders, would be orders.
"Im glad to meet both of you, this program will be a boon our kind" she said though she never looked back at Tasean. Her eyes kept watch on the small mob. None of them seemed to have gun's and seemed like they would be easy to take out, but Aura also did not believe five dead was a good opening for the place. "Don't these insects realize i could kill them all on my own?" Aura asked rhetorically. Still she made no move to advance on them, her words had also seemed to be ignored by the mob.
"I do wish we could have met under better circumstances though" she said as the people seemed to be getting braver and Aura noticed a few more emerging from the stairwell. One got brave and rushed Aura and she swung her Aura hammer at the man, his blow landed and did nothing, Aura's hammer knocked him to the ground holding his side. Aura was sure she had broken the man's rib and was just hoping the shard did not go through something vital like a kidney.
"Foolish animal's" she said though she made no move to kill the wounded human, she also made no move to help him. " I was being kind, i could have killed him" she said loud enough for the crowd to here still hoping this would end with littile violence and as few police as possible. If they came then no matter what it would be hard fight down to the first floor. She needed a good way out of this place she realized.
Aura had already pulled out a cellphone and started to talk into it. "bring the car, i have 2 with me, one wounded" she said and then looked back to the two girls. It would be a few minutes but walking would take longer then she figured they had. "A car will be here in just a few moments and it will take us to sanctuary, we could walk but i figured time was pressing" she said as she walked up to the road to wait for the car which had taken her to the area.
"So you can make people go blind?" she said not quite understanding who stevie wonder was, but she seemed to eb claiming responsibility and she did say it would come back soon. "And that is impressive, i never saw you take it" she said which in Aura's eyes was saying somthing. She was trained to study peoples habits in case she had to fight them. "The ride will be short" she said adressing the distence and she figured it wa sunder ten minutes.
A Black van with dark tinted window's pulled up in front of Aura, Aura opened the side of the van, and invited the other two in. At the wheel was a mutant who looked to have a feline mutation. "The van will take us, the driver is sanctuary staff" she said sitting down on one of the seats. Once the other two were in they would head of to sanctuary. The van was completely unmarked.
Aura was almost growling now, every fiber in her body was tense, it knew a fight was thare. Already she had mentally considered several ways she could have killed the protesters. When one man did get brave aura merely pointed her sword and he fell back looking at his friends. It would be so easy to just kill them all she thought to herself, her eyes looking down at their necks. One good slash would be all it would take.
"hello friend, it seems the office is quite popular today" she said, batting away something thrown at her which she thought was a small rock. She took a few steps away from Andrew to cover the room a bit better. Holding up her sword, she smiled as she turned the blade into a chainsaw like form, letting then collapse back into her Aura she formed a drill, then finally formed it into a second hammer. It was an excercize Aura was doing to feel calm. "Humans" she said with a clear tonne of hatred.
"My name is Aura, i had come with a check, but it looks like i might get to dance as well" she said happily. Aura took her eyes away from the vitals and looked at her new found friend. "Any other mutants in this place?" she asked casually, not caring about any stray humans that might have been nearbye. She was noting how quickly this could get real ugly, she ha dno idea what her new partner could do.
Aura had heard this place was opening and read about the planned mass protests against the office. Aura ahd made sure to get a sanctuary endorsed check for donation to the office. She had wanted to be here, just in case something happened. It Would boost sanctuary's reputation. It was noted for taking in homeless and sometimes mutants with questionable backgrounds. Few however knew what sanctuary really hid, the Order. Aura was just suppose to deliver the check. But even she could hear the chanting outside. Aura balled her fists and her aura quickly covered her body. "Human sc....."she started and looked around thinking better of it.
Then things got much worse, Aura heard them much before she saw them come up the last flight of stairs they needed.. Standing she looked at the dozen protesters who had managed to make it up the flights of stairs. Some of them had sign's though Aura saw little in the way of weapons. With a sigh, Aura slipped the envelope into her pack. These animals needed a quick lessen and she had no idea if anyone in this place could even fight. Worse her cell got no reception in the place, so she was on her own.
Aura smiled as her Aura coverd her body, some of the protesters were backing away and she had only just made it solid. "Leave this place" She said sternly, even as the aura around both her hand's formed into a hammer and a sword. Aura then heard several anti mutant terms that made her want to skin these humans alive. Aura held her ground, no one had gotten brave but they would and they were getting louder. "You will not pass" she said loudly taking a combat stance., watching the growing crowd
The wound does look bad...." she said trailing off, after all their were a number of issues. The only Hospital Aura ever kept track of was Sanctuary. If these two were human's Aura would simply have to leave them, if they were Mutants then she would help. Aura looked around quickly and moved to within feet of the other two girl's. "I can get you to Sanctuary, however Humans are.....unwelcome thare" Aura said. Looking down at the wound she realized it was as bad as it had looked.
Aura moved to block people from seeing what she was about to show the other two girls, and quickly surrounded her hand in her aura which formed a dagger like shape before fading from view, Aura was very well known and her face had been wiped from one tv station to the next. The last thing she needed was to cause a large scale panic in a crowded subway. "To be honest im not really a fan of humans myself" She said bluntly.
If they were Mutants then Aura hoped she would get to see both their gift's eventually, she loved seeing new powers. "If you are mutants, then Sanctuary can help provide clothing, food and shelter. In fact i myself have lived thare for a long time." she said warmly. She hoped they were their were both quite good looking. "Let's try and get some distance from here, one of these fools may have called the cops" she said really not wanting to be around for that.
The Police did not even know Aura was back in America and she wanted to stay under their radar as well, it would keep things simpler. Cops rarely asked questions when they saw her becuse that's how they normelly wound up dead. "My name is Aura" she said politely.
"I see, you have a beautiful gift, one that with training could well allow you to protect yourself and your friends with ease. From what i understand, you could touch a diamond and have your skin take on it's traits. I would recommend trying the same few textures, that way it will be easier to practice and rely on each one. The best way to survive is to know yourself, as well as those around you and know that to protect those you care about you may well be hurt or worse" she said even as the room shimmered into what looked like an African plain.
"Don't worry if you ever do get hurt in this room, sanctuary has a very good medical staff, believe me i would know, however on any setting you may get hurt" She said "But the machine can cater to many different experience level's, this one should be good for you. Don't worry if the machine seems hard now, you will get use to it, plus i am here a lot." she said with a smile. it was true Aura spent several hours a day training and much of it in the training room when she could.
"Mutants must help and protect one another. Our powers are wonderful thing's and we would not have them for no reason. We are our powers and they are us no different then an arm or a leg" she said having no idea how Lydia felt about being a mutant but she knew many mutants were scared of their powers or of what they were. Aura felt no mutant should ever need to be scared of what they were.
"Head out there a littile bit and the machine will send a few targets our way. They are robot's so their is no need to hold back, plus i'll help out she said as the aura around her right hand quickly formed a drill like shape, then let that melt back into her Aura as she lead the way to the middle of the room.
Around them about six human looking robot's came into veiw, another stood further away with a bat. Aura finnaly settled on an Axe. Her Aura also became less smooth and more angled. Though Most of the human robots stayed back, two got brave and approached the pair. Aura almost out of reflec rushed the first robot, but as she did her Axe turned into a hammer, which she struck the first human robot in the chest with, knocking it onto it's back.
"I see, but the bee's are mostly dead, they try and sting my aura and all i had to do was roll on the ground a bit" she said with a shrug. "Besides they don't do so well without the queen" she went on. "I understand the concern though, i was stung once myself" she said which was true, before she had learned to use her powers to cover her entire body. Aura was unafraid to eat most things, though she shied away from anything poisonous.
"Would be fun to learn a few things, we had littile time for love, in the woods and most people did not not live very long" she said honestly. "That's the good thing about sanctuary, not nearly as many deaths" she said which was true, back in the woods she had watched many die, either unable to cope or just a hair to slow. She lived because her Aura allowed her to make a non-fatel mistake every so often. Returning to the statement Aura went on. "Well i was hoping to be able to fight with them as well" she said, which was very true.
Aura followed Geo to the car and hopped in. She had little knowledge of cars, but even she could tell this one was different. "I admit, the urge to turn the town into a graveyard has been growing. " she said back to him. "I wonder how long it would take any of these animals to know they were in danger" she said referring to the community. It would have been easy, not a lot of people and plenty of area to store bodies.
Aura looking over at the girl, even as the glow around her took a more solid look to it. Aura considered the question and at first gave just a nod. "I do not mind, my friend, but first can we start with your name and what your power is?" she asked calmly and warmly. "My name is Aura and my power....." she said and trailed off as her aura suddenly began to flow to her hand and form something, quickly the shape of an axe could be made out, it quickly began to reshape itself until it took the shape of a sword, before finally losing it's shape and flowing back into her over all Aura. Aura's eye's glanced down at the girl's change hand. "If you could tell me what you know of your power's limits, that would be helpful to" she said not wanting to hurt the girl.
"The room works using robot's who can simulate many thing's a long with holograms of different locations. This helps people train in many different environments against various threats weather they be mutant or human. "The room has safety features to prevent death and normelly these can't be turned off" she siad which was true to an extent.
"I am quite well versed in combat, if you want my help further then showing you the machines. " she offered as she waived for the other girl to come over. "Over here you select the environment and here you select what you wish to face. " she said demonstrating each of the controls for her. "I was brought up on the battlefield" she said as she continued to show Lydia how the machine worked. "Can i ask why you wish to fight?" she said curious more then anything.
