The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Well I'm not leaving but I certainly am at a bit of a disadvantage. School is rushing by me and I'm trying to keep up with it, since I wasn't so successful with that last semester. To top that my home computer has decided to not work and I don't know why exactly so I have to do EVERYTHING, (EX: homework, studying, posting etc.) with that. So I'll be around, I'll just be kind of slow and possibly seem antisocial until I get everything fixed.

Streak was surprised. He certainly didn't think that Shin would volunteer to use the thing. No one had the training and Shin certainly wasn't an exception. he wiped the shocked look off his face and simply stated, "Look, I'm not for it. I think it's a bad idea. But if y'all both think it'll help then go for it." Shin certainly didn't seem like the kind of guy to throw himself at a possibly dangerous situation like using Cerebra without thinking things through.
Mostly Streak wanted to make sure that in the process of finding these guys they didn't count themselves down another X-men. He wasn't opposed to using it...if whoever was using it knew what they were doing. They were shooting in the dark here with the guess that Shin might be able to use it. It'd be almost like standing in a pitch black room and hoping to hit a target with a throwing knife, after spinning in circles until you were dizzy. It could be done but no one had ever tried it before. That was his main concern.

They may not have been T.A.T. but Streak couldn't ignore the coincidence that they showed up shortly after the X-men infiltrated and released the kidnapped kids. Streak didn't think it was the T.A.T. It didn't feel like their style. Sam seemed to think that the information came from elsewhere and if he was certain that all they had were incomplete estimates on paper then Streak was inclined to believe him. The silver X-men listened to his partners discuss the situation at hand.
It was a bad situation that they were in and he wasn't all to inclined to think that they had gotten past it. If anything this was just the beginning. Streak nodded as Shin agreed to keep it to only a select few at the precinct. The silvermancer would not object to Shin looking into the death of a prominent X-men. It'd be weird if there wasn't an investigation by the police. Streak didn't like the police's corruptibility...he didn't think that they were all dirty...but they provided a good asset in their problems in the city.
He wasn't a police force. Neither were any of the other X-men at the mansion. They had other priorities to worry about also. Investigating wasn't one of them. Streak could at least think the police would be able to get them any and all info easily.
Shawn's eyes went wide for a second and he just stared at Shin for a minute. Did he really just say Cerebra? Streak blinked a few times and took a sip of some water to clear his throat. "Does anyone even know how to operate that thing?" Shawn was one of the few that actually knew where Cerebra was, but he couldn't use it so he didn't bother. "It could work...At least to find the mutants that we're looking for...But there are few that could use that thing without any repercussions." Streak was not opposed to using it. He just didn't think there was anyone at the mansion still that could operate it.

If Streak's silver hadn't been covering him he was pretty sure he might have had thinner eyebrows after he apparently startled her. Thankfully, she had enough control over he powers to not singe his face. Surprise registered on his face as the white fireball came at him. Apparently the fire was the reason she had permission to be in here. He didn't know exactly what she was doing but she said she wasn't training."Why not use this as a time to train. Even if you are just venting frustration or whatever."
Streak smirked as she figured out what he'd done. The silvermancer followed her as she ran. She wasn't really fighting them. The music changed again and he formed a few knives as a couple more metal balls flew around and buzzed his head. He rolled, popped up and threw a knife. It sailed directly into an orb and pinned it to the wall. He figured why she might not be throwing her fire now, so going with an idea he said, "You may want to fight them a little. Don't worry about me. I don't think you're fire will get hot enough to hurt me." He broke left and gave her some distance.

Streak watched the chaos for a minute. Something was going on here, but no one was telling him what he wanted to know. He'd have to find it out himself. The people seemed to pour in from all directions towards any mutant they saw. Streak dodged a punch and walked into a kick to the back of his left leg. He went down but only for a second. On his knees he spun around, swept the foot out from under his kicker and stood up to face his other attacker.
He was more prepared than they were anticipating and he came up swinging. A punch connected with a humans face. He staggered back and took a moment to think about what he was doing, while another person charged. Streak backed up a little and stopped a kick with his shin, only to counter with one of his own. Streak had spent many years training and his kicks were much more devastating than some random persons off the street high on adrenaline.
The silvermancer looked above him and saw that the flock of birds swarming around seemed to be doing quite a bit of damage to the humans. As much as he wanted to stop the humans and not hurt them he knew that the crows/ravens, whichever they were he couldn't tell at the moment. He just knew they were big birds and were pissing the people off more than anything with all their scratching. Streak managed to get away from a few attackers for the moment. As he did he formed a broad and long silver shield. He also formed a staff. Nothing that would kill anyone or anything, but something to hopefully scare the birds off. He swung his staff. There seemed to be so many he didn't think it would be to hard to hit at least one of them.

Lana seemed pretty adamant. He needed to keep the integrity of Sam's secret preserved as much as possible. There didn't seem to be many people coming forward, as far as he knew, saying things about being attacked and almost killed.
"We certainly need to get a master list then. There's no way to identify any patterns until we know the full scope of what's been going on."
"There's only one way you're going to get to talk to Sam... You'll have to go to him. He's not coming here." Streak made a mental note to see if anyone at the mansion had reported anything about attacks.
He pipped up again, "We want to keep him safe but we also want to keep the kids safe as well. We're hoping that by keeping Sam hidden it'll make his attackers restless and possibly we can identify them before they strike again. We also don't want to put the kids in any unnecessary danger by bringing his attackers to the mansion, if we can help it." He thought she would understand his position. Lana seemed reasonable enough to his position. Besides a trip to the mansion wouldn't be too out of the way from anything else.
Now that Streak thought about it, he'd had an instance of seemingly random human-mutant violence. The silvermancer seemed to think it best to bring that up. "Now that I think back...I was involved in a confrontation with a mob of humans and a couple of mutants. I don't know if it has any relation to Sam's attackers but it does seem pretty random now that I think about it. I wasn't a target, per say, but I happened to show up during it. It seemed like both humans and mutants were responsible for the outburst. So, it wasn't like it was a targeted mutant hate thing, or vice versa."
Maybe if there were other accounts of odd things going on from mutants, or others getting attacked like Sam, then they can start to draw a pattern out of it. For Streak at least, there was no way to know if his thing was even remotely connected with Sam's attackers. Streak waited for Lana's opinion on what he'd told her.

Shin's reply shocked Streak a little bit. But then again, Shin was much more into working with the police than Streak or Sam were. Streak had helped them out on plenty of occasions, but he certainly didn't work for them like Shin did. This comment required Streak answer. "Shin, I understand that... but how do we know that the information that those two got wasn't from some file or someone in the police department. I would caution you to tell only those that you think you can absolutely trust. If you feel that you need to tell someone, that is."
With that being said he turned to Sam and asked him something that had been bugging him. "I wasn't there when everything went down with the kidnappings, so I'm just wondering...Is there any way that we can know for sure that they didn't get that info from the T.A.T. whether they worked for them or not and whether stole the info...is it possible that they got there info from them? Was that place destroyed or was it just a snatch and grab mission?"
Those answers could determine how they got the information and if any of the other residents at the mansion could be a target in the same way or by the same people.

"Sometimes when we're trying to profile a perp, profiling their victims helps. We end up seeing patterns between the two that help us predict the behaviour and sometimes even what they'll end up doing next. So you're saying mutants. Plural. Was there more than one mutant involved or were there more than one attacks?" "It sounds then, as you said there was a lot of research that went into this. Now, how could an attacker obtain that information? Did they seem to have a psychic based mutation? Were they spying?
Streak listened to Lana talk. She certainly knew what she was talking about. "There were definitely more than one mutant that attacked Sam. Although, I think there have been more mutants attacked also. But I can't be certain about it. As far as I can tell they haven't created a list of people attacked." Streak explained to her. Her second set of questions proved to be a little harder to answer without getting into the major details of the schools system.
"Well I can't get into details about our system. It would prove to problematic for the people involved. However, I can assure you that there was no break into our security. We have the most state of the art systems and they are constantly monitored. There are, however, different groups that had some information on Sam..." Streak was thinking of the T.A.T. that had recaptured Sam recently. They'd only just gotten him back, but there was no telling what happened to all those files when they were recovering Sam and the others.
The silvermancer continued, "There's no way I could speak on if they had a psychic mutation about them. It's possible. It's also very possible that they were spying. Sam isn't exactly a low profile person. He's a very out there in-your-face kinda guy. He goes on lots of missions and works with the NYPD also. I wouldn't having him come in for an interview; however, that is a little tricky. The mutants that attacked him let him for dead. That being said; they don't know that he's alive and we've been trying to keep that idea going so that they don't try to attack him again and make the mansion targets."
Did they crack into some computer at a school or place of work? It all sounds very organized..."
Streak nodded. It did sound a little more organized than just a couple of mutants going after someone because they had a vendetta. It was more like they had a purpose for trying to take him out.

Streak didn't think Locke would attack him. He certainly wasn't expecting one from a kid, who he figured was Locke's little brother. That kid had good sense and good aim. The his was hard and direct to the family jewels. Streak doubled over trying to catch his breath and hopefully bring his jewelry out of his stomach as that sickening feeling filled his stomach. He hated that feeling. You can be hit a million times and it still isn't as bad as that. "Geez Locke! I'm just...trying to...warn you. That...was a little...uncalled for." Streak was completely ignoring the kid. He didn't know him and at the moment didn't want to know him.
The silvermancer cleared his throat a couple of times and straightened his body. He took a few deep breaths, still trying to get rid of that vomit feeling that was creeping up to his throat from his stomach. "I'll explain later. But suffice to say I can't blow cover right now." Streak glanced over his shoulder and saw that there were a couple of bikers that were determined to turn this place into their personal track. The silver mutant rolled his eyes. Maybe his cover would be blown sooner than he thought. Those two never liked him anyways. Maybe he could blame it on someone else and keep his cover.
"Jacob get out of our way!" one of the bikers yelled over the roaring of his bike. He revved it a couple of time to indicate that he would run Streak over without a second thought. Streak took a few steps away from Locke and, out of sight of the bikers created a silver staff. The staff was just about his height and he waited for his opportunity. As the bikers rode by he swung hard effectively knocking one of them off their bike and knocking him unconscious. Streak reabsorbed the staff before anyone could see. The distraction of the bike traveling without a rider was a good diversion also. That guy probably wouldn't know who or what hit him.

It'd been quite some time since Streak had been in the Danger Room. He couldn't quite place why he hadn't visited the room for a while. He'd always enjoyed being in the Danger Room. Not because of its name but because of its seemingly endless possibilities. No matter how many times he'd been in there, there didn't seem to be anything that it couldn't do. No program that it couldn't run. No scenario that it couldn't project and bring into reality.
As it was this is what ran through his mind as he appeared in the control room. Seemingly out of nowhere. He'd always enjoyed the little hideout that him and Sam made, so many years ago. There was already someone in the room. A fire manipulator as it turned out. She was pretty good at aiming and things seemed to a speed up whenever she hit something with one of her fireballs. The music that played was enticing to Streak and he didn't realize that it was also controlling the speed of the program.
He was going to leave until he watched the program more. The program she was running looked pretty fun. "Let's make it just a little more interesting for a fire mutant." Streak mumbled to himself. He punched a few buttons and the simulation changed a little. He decided he should go help her with the newest part of the simulation. She may be good when she's standing still... but how good is she when she has to move too. Streak took the short set of stairs that led the way down into the Danger Room and walked out onto the ground of the training room. Before the program started over Streak said, "Mind if I join you? I'm Streak by the way."
The silvermancer covered himself in his silver and prepared for the attacks to soon follow. Even he didn't know what the program would do but that's what he liked about the Danger Room. If you could think about it the Danger Room could do it, even if you couldn't think it the Danger room could surprise you. "You may want to move around a little." Streak said hinting at the changes he made.

Streak listened to Sam and agreed with Shin. Sam didn't seem to worse for wear...now... even though Doc was working on him slowly. When Sam finished it was shin that spoke up. When his Asian friend finished Streak nodded. It was good that they think Sam was dead. They probably wouldn't look for him here, unless they were saw them bring Sam back to the mansion and he didn't show up with a toe tag.
"Shin's right. If these guys thing you're dead then that should put you and the mansion's students at a little more ease. Unless they followed y'all here somehow and didn't see a dead body come in the mansion..." Streak trailed off because he knew that his next words would probably not go over too well with their leader. Sam wanted revenge and that was completely understandable. Streak would feel the exact same way if the tables were reversed and he was the one who almost died.
In fact it wasn't even him and he wanted revenge on these guys for thinking that they could attack an X-men and get away scot free. "Sam. I know you don't want to hear this but I'm going to have to insist that you stay hidden at the mansion for a while. If we're right and they think you're dead you can't go advertising that they screwed up and flaunting their mistake...Not until we know who they are or who they're working for at least. I'm going to keep the mansion at a heightened security for a while, and you can't leave. If they think that we're being scared or paranoid because they killed you then good. It might just throw them off their game and they'll slip up."
Shawn waited for the rebuttal but he knew that he was right and this was all about timing. They had timing when they attacked Sam; and so the X-men needed timing when they retaliated.

Lana was right down to business. Streak took a seat as soon as he was in her cramped little area. He wasn't even sure he could call it an office. He listened as Lana explained her purpose and her hopes for the reason she was brought in. The only thing he know about profiling was that it was often used for finding people like serial killers and other people that the police deemed very dangerous and hoped to find before they could wreak havoc else where.
"Anyway, you were sent here to me today because several of the victims identified as belonging to your other place of employment- the Mansion for mutants?...and because you allegedly know one of the victims...a Sam?"
"I guess we should start at the beginning. Assume I know nothing, and tell me what you know about what happened to your friend Sam."
"Well, these cops aren't really 'my guys' I'm here as more of a subject matter expert on mutant actions towards other mutants. I have invaluable experience dealing with aggressive mutants that tend to cause harm to other mutants or humans. I help the cops out if they have any sticky situations that they don't seem equipped to handle." Streak stated. Streak nodded and leaned back in his seat and started to explain things.
"Sam is a good friend of mine. We've worked together for quite a while now and we have been through more stuff than I can tell you about. He's an ice manipulator and can create some pretty cool ice creatures to help defend him. He was attacked after leaving a bar a couple of nights ago by two mutants in plain view of people. These mutants seemed to know him and know all about his powers. They'd done their research. We haven't had any luck tracking those two down yet but there has to be a reason that they tried to kill him. They left him for dead and if another one of our friends hadn't received the signal for help he probably would be dead right now."{/color]
Even going over it with Lana there didn't seem to be any real reason for someone to randomly attack Sam like that. Especially since he claimed that he'd never seen them before. Streak waited to see her reaction and if she had any thoughts on their situation and what this new information might tell her.

Streak got a phone call. He was really starting to hate this whole technology thing. Phones were becoming more of a nuisance to him than a really poorly done commercial on TV. The call was from one of the local precincts. It only made sense that he was being asked to come in because of his close knowledge of the attack on Sam. His car rolled into the precincts parking lot and immediately walked through the double doors of the building.
He was told that he was going to meet some profiler that might be able to get them closer to who was actually behind all of this. Even though the cops seemed to think that it was just an isolated incident the silvermancer was not as easily convinced. The X-men has no idea where or who he was supposed to be meeting this profiler.
Shawn looked around and noticed, off in a corner in a desk, was someone that seemed to be buried in paperwork. Turned out it was just a secretary for one of the big shots at the office. He'd gotten a name... a first name and that was it. He didn't know what exactly he was looking for to distinguish this one person out of the many that were in the room. "Excuse me." Streak said prying the woman away from her work of filing reports. "I'm looking for some profiler named Lana. Can you point me in the right direction?" The secretary pointed him towards another lady and he figured that was her. She looked like she was looking for someone so Shawn guessed that was her.
It wasn't that late when he got the call. It was Shin. He answered immediately and listened as Shin explained everything that he knew of what happened to Sam to him. Streak was surprised that someone could get such a surprise on Sam. Streak waited until immediately went into his office and started arming the security systems. He was about to put the place on lock down for a while. At least until they could be sure that Sam and the kids were safe from whoever it was that attack the X-men's leader.
Once Shin and Sam were in the boundaries of the mansion Streak activated their security protocols behind them. The gates closed, traps were set for springing, panels were electrified and cameras were on full alert for anyone trying to break gain access to the grounds. Streak watched them walk in from the cameras and pushed a few more buttons as doors locked themselves and all entrances and exits were electronically monitored.
Shin found the silvermancer then and filled him in on the details that he left out in the phone call. They were going to meet in the War Room for an official debrief on the incident. Streak got there quickly. Pretty soon DocProf arrived and they just waited on Sam and Shin to arrive. Streak was on edge. It's not all the time, or even often, that someone tries to kill a member of the X-men. Everything in the room was dimmed, except for the large metal table in the middle of the room. That was lit up like a beacon and had Streak pacing back and forth on the far side of it, anxious.
