MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

This map is a complete list of the "MRO hotspots", or the places frequently visited by characters on MRO. Ever six months, the mods will do a sweep of the locations to make sure each is still being used. If a location is not being used at that time, it will be removed.

Howdy, folks! There seems to be quite a bit of confusion floating around about how tagging works. Tagging is when you create a link to someone’s profile using the @ symbol and their username. That person will then be notified that they were tagged in a post.
This is how it works:
The @ symbol goes in front of the USERNAME that you registered under, not your display name. If you can't remember what it is, look on your profile under your account name:
Or, if you're lazy, you can just hover your cursor over your display name for a minute. Either way, use your USERNAME, not your DISPLAY NAME.
E.g. what do you use to log in to this?:
For reference, your display name is the name that shows up on your mini profile. For example, the username “elixr” would be what I would use if I wanted to tag “Juliette Lawson”. You tag the username (@ elixr), and it shows up as Juliette Lawson . Using the display name will end up like this: @juliettelawson.
If you’re tagging someone in your own post and not making a claim somewhere, then there are even simpler ways to do it. At the top of the “create thread” or “full reply” box, there are plenty of options to help you code your post. One of them helps you tag people:
You can either search for their username or display name, and it will pop up for out to click.
Now you know how to tag people! Go forth and tag all the things!

Hello, citizens of MRO! MRO is switching over to using out of character player “aliases” in the chatbox. We are making these and other cbox changes in order to enhance the MRO experience. To find out what everyone is going by, check the Who's Who Directory.
What does this mean for MRO? None of the MRO essentials or how we play will change. We will still be an original X-Men roleplay with a cbox, posting, and an awesome community. The only thing that will be changing will be how we refer to one another in our (already out of character) chat.
We will also be switching over the cbox so that players can register for accounts under their alias. The moderators would love it if people could start chatting under their alias right away so that we can make the change as smooth as possible.
Do I have to do this? We would like unanimity, but we're willing to meet the community half way. If you can’t possibly imagine chatting under a different name, then let the mods know and we can work something out. Be warned, though, these chat names will be permanent, so if you do end up switching out your character, you will not be able to change your name.
I can’t think of anything!! There are a couple of things that you can try!
Use some sort of diminutive of your name/nickname, your character’s name, or a username.
Where do I start? Either fill out this form or make a claim on the Who's Who Directory to tell us what you would like your alias to be. Once you’ve done that, you can start chatting under your alias.

The moderators will be compiling these names into a Who’s Who list that will be our reference for who everyone is and plays. We will be taking some time to compile that list and it will be released on June 8th. On June 8th, we are going to ask that you start going by your alias in the cbox.
We are also going to ask that you edit your character profile(s) to reflect your chosen alias. We will be adding a section to the applications for players to add their alias for easy reference. Copy this code and put it in the roleplay section of your application.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been extremely busy, and I haven't had much time to write. I'd like to say that it's going to get better, but unfortunately, I can't. I'll be camping this weekend, and after that, I'm looking at a decently busy couple of weeks.
I'll be modding, cboxing, and posting when I can, but I can't say that I'll have the best activity for the next little while.
