Mutations
Rhett uses psychic energy to possess and control inanimate humanoid objects. He projects his own thoughts onto them. He only seems to be able to manipulate dolls, dummies, puppets, mannequins, action figures and any humanoid toy.
.
Mutation description:
Rhett uses psychic energy to possess and control dolls. Rhett is so in tune with this ability that he is able to perform it with subconscious thought. He can carry on a conversation or even do something as mentally taxing as play a competitive game of chess while controlling the dolls.
Rhett prefers controlling mannequins, as they make him feel less alone. When controlling them, Rhett is able to give them full mobility and articulation. Meaning, all joints, fingers, and toes bend and move as they would on a real human being despite how they were made.
Rhett is telepathically linked to his dolls. If someone were to attack one of the subjects he was controlling Rhett would feel their pain. It would respond to his thoughts. It would react as quickly as Rhett mentally reacted.
As long as Rhett can visualize it happening and it abides by the laws of physics he can make it happen. For example, If Rhett wants a mannequin to drive car for him while he is in the passenger seat he can do that. He can not make mannequins fly around the room with psychic energy however. It would require to much mental strain to suspend it's weight in the air for that long.
Rhett's army of toys, dolls and dummies has weight limitations. He controls them all with his mind. Rhett has found that as long as it doesn't exceed the max weight limit 500lbs. he is ok. The weight limit is equivalent to three mannequins fully dressed and carrying gear, supplies etc.
Life size subjects such as mannequins move at the speed of the average man. They can lift things only up to about 40 pounds, though Rhett has to compensate for it. He has to exert extra mental effort to accomplish this. His mental strength is actually their physical strength. If Rhett is tired or unfocused his henchmen become weaker and can carry less, move slower, and punch weaker.
Subjects under Rhett's control react to pain. Since they are telepathically linked to Rhett, he can feel the damage inflicted on them. However, Rhett can not be killed by something he is telepathically linked to being destroyed.
Rhett has an easier time making smaller toys move. He can animate an army of action figures. . Their movements however have to be exactly alike when in staggeringly large numbers. It takes to much concentration to individulalize each toy's movements. Anymore than thirty actions figures at any given time and Rhett will have to make them move in perfect harmony. Smaller toys and action figures still abide by the 500lbs. weight limit. If his toys carry someone the weight of the person carried is factored into the 500lbs limit.
Rhett can not make toys become sentient he can merely control them with psychic energy. He has to be conscious and awake to control them if he slips into unconsciousness he will loose control of them and they will collapse to a heap in the floor.
Rhett's army is easily destroyed. Weather they are dolls, dummies or mannequins Rhett does nothing to strengthen the material they are made from. They are as easy to destroy as one might think.
Rhett can not control subjects while he is asleep or unconscious. This is a time for his mind to rest and recover. Rhett can only control his larger subjects for twelve hours straight without strain. Rhett can control them an additional twelve hours, but the mental requirements becomes increasingly intense with each additional hour. Smaller toys such as ventriloquist dummies, teddy bears and action figures take less mental effort. Rhett can control smaller toys for a full twenty-four hours without mental strain.
Rhett needs a full night's rest to recover his mind after controlling his subjects for extended periods. Anything less than a full night's rest and Rhett's dolls are in a weakened state and it causes Rhett mental strain to control them.
While Rhett uses his psychic energy to control inanimate objects there are no visible signs that he is pulling the strings. It takes little effort from Rhett and if he wished it would appear as if he was a bystander to the animation of the subjects.
Rhett's dolls, puppets, dummies, and mannequins can carry ordinary weapons such as knives or guns.
If Rhett looses control the subject will collapse where it stands. Rhett can only control and manipulating subjects he can physically see. If a subject he is controlling begins to wander to far outside of his visual field it will begin to stumble, it's gate will become more erratic until it finally collapses out of his mental range.
As a resulting factor from the stress of his psychic abilities Rhett has gone insane. Rhett believes his dolls dummies and to be living breathing creations. Rhett hears their voices in his head and each uniquely different doll, puppet or dummy etc. retains their own unique voice to him. The fact that Rhett hears these voices in his head is either a factor of his mutation or the stress of that much mental activity has caused cracks to form in his mind
Strengths:
Rhett can control multiple subjects at once.
Rhett can control armies of subjects with a hive mind mentality.
Long distance psychic projection, as long as he is able to physically see the subject he is controlling.
Hidden in plain sight Rhett's agents of chaos can move around undetected and simply sit still until the threat has passed. No one believes that a doll can come alive.
Rhett has human sized accomplices in mannequins.
Rhett has a massive army of action figures at his disposal (Max limit 1,333 figures within the 500lb. weight limit. Each figure weighing roughly 6oz.)
Weaknesses and Limitations:
Duration of control is a factor for extended periods.
Rhett's mind needs periodic breaks. He is a powerful psychic, but his mind is often overworked which could result in cluster headaches or even nose bleeds.
Rhett has a range when it comes to long distance psychic projection. He can only control his subjects as long as he can physically see them until they fall out of range and collapse to the floor where they stand.
Rhett's psychically controlled henchmen are not very strong and can be easily destroyed. Their physical strength is an exact equivalent to Rhett's mental strength at any given moment. Each subject he controls has physical strength that is divided and shared among them. For example, if he is controlling two mannequins; the mental strength used to operate them is divided between them giving them each 50% of their peak physical strength.
Rhett's can only psychically possess up to three human sized subjects and individualize their movements
Rhett cans only puppet inanimate objects that are human shaped with humanoid like features.
Rhett can not puppeteer a sleeping human, another mutant or a dead body. That does not fall within the range of his abilities.

History Of Your Character
Rhett knew of his abilities ever since he was a young child. When little Rhett played with his action figures, they played back. Rhett had found out early that he was a mutant and he actually spent many hours as a boy pushing the limits of what he could do. After all when you are seven years old and you realize that you have the power to make your toys come alive. The possibilities were endless. Rhett didn't have a very storybook or happy childhood. His parents were constantly at each other's throats. They both assured him that he wasn't the cause of the split between them. They both made sure he knew that they both loved him very much.
Rhett didn't care. He didn't need parents. Even as a young child he was a bit... particular. He found friendship in his toys. The other kids at school considered him the weird kid. Though, Rhett never outright told anyone about what he was able to do. Rhett mostly kept to himself He wanted to have some real friends, but the other kids were mean and his toys were not. So Rhett made friends with them.
He would make up adventures and stories and spend hours playing with his toys, overworking his mind by overusing his psychic ability. He didn't know any better of course. He just thought it was fun. He never wanted to stop playing with his friends except for the times where he got a nose bleed from trying to play with too many toys at one time.
Growing up Rhett played with his toys less. He gradually allowed his imaginary friends to become just that, imaginary. Rhett moved on to trying out for the varsity baseball team. He wanted to make some real friends. Most of his school years spent alone, he wanted to have real human companionship. Rhett didn't make the team. In fact, Rhett was laughed off the field.
His formative High School years were rough. He spent most of his time tucked away in his room. The only one he ever talked to was a Teddy Ruxbin doll that he would make come alive and move around. He would hear Teddy talking back to him. Though, Teddy wasn't really speaking. He was just feeding him back his own subconscious thoughts that were already in his head.
As Rhett got older he decided to make a living as a stunt driver. Rhett's driving skills were like anything you had ever seen. He made a good living off of it too, for a while. It wasn't long though, before it became boring. He wasn't challenged enough. Rhett wanted more danger more thrills. He wanted more excitement. The rush that stunt driving gave him just wasn't enough anymore. He used that rush of excitement to fill the void he felt.
The loneliness wasn't so bad when your heart was racing. Rhett chased that feeling. He chased it all the way to the point where he began robbing banks with a crew of mannequins holding down hostages, and driving get away cars for him. Now the rush was back. And Rhett got a taste of chaos. It tasted sweet on the tip of his tongue.

"You jackass!" Rhett yelled at a mannequin. The mannequin turned it's head to the direction Rhett was standing. Rhett was psychically controlling him in the back of his mind. The interactions had become like second nature at this point to have the mannequins reacting to his movements around the room. It helped with the illusion that they were really alive. Rhett looked down at the bag of money on the table. There was blue ink everywhere. A dye pack exploded all over his sofa. Rhett just finished robbing a bank with his psychically controlled band of thugs. 3 mannequins in masks.
Rhett looked over at a blue dye covered mannequin in a Richard Nixon mask and shook his head. He had a stray thought about peeking into the bag counting the money. A distracted moment caused the mannequin to follow this as if it was an actual telepathic order and ruined his sofa.
"Why don't you go downstairs and crawl in the wood chipper on the street down there?" Rhett said the command out loud, but all he had to do was think it. The mannequin put the bag on the table and began to head towards the door. Opening the door he stepped outside into the brilliant afternoon day. There was some workers feeding tree branches into a wood chipper in front of the house across the street.
The mannequin calmly walked over. Inside Rhett was eating a bag of potato chips and watching sports center highlights. He was watching half interested as he was really watching the mannequin through the open door.
The workers decided to head around the back of the house and get some more branches to clear out. The mannequin climbed in the back of the still running wood chipper and jumped inside. A horrible grinding noise followed by several screams. "Oh my god! That guy just killed himself!" Rhett could hear it all from his open window and began laughing his ass off.
That made him feel some better. Rhett continued to listen to the panicked screams a moment longer than smiled and picked up the remote. Turning up the volume he watched last night's highlights without a care in the world.
Behind him two other mannequins were grabbing buckets and mops to clean the dye off the walls, floor and couch. Rhett was controlling them, making them do the housework while he sat on his lazy but. It was one of the little perks of having personal minions. Rhett liked having his own personal minions. It made things like chores a thing of the past.
