The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She waved back and examined the kitty person. She couldn't see her tail anymore which Cailyn didn't like. The kitty person tried to leave to leave but Cailyn didn't want that. As the kitty person was turned around, Cailyn grabbed her hand and said: "Please don't leave." She looked a bit shyly and added: "I never met a kitty girl before."
The person turned around and looked like it was a she. She had a cat face instead of a normal human face. Most people would jump up, scream or run away but not Cailyn. She looked at her with her big amazed eyes and simply said: "A kitty." She pulled up a nice smile and looked at the woman. "Hi." She added shortly after she pulled the smile and she said it with a squicky nice voice.
The person had a tail. Cailyn found that very interresting and fun. She got on hands and knees when she saw that and crawled a bit through the grass towards the person hoping she could see it again. People might look funny at her but nothing mattered anymore. The tail was her focus, she really liked animals with tails. They where mostly soft and furry and she wanted to see why that person had one. Whispers told her that she wasn't human. Cailyn saw that now too but then again, she wasn't "human" too.
She got to the edge of the grass and she stood up. She started to follow the person with big eyes of amazement. Hopefully she could see the tail again and maybe even touch it. That where Cailyn's objective for today.
Cailyn heard the girl and she turned her head again. Her mouth was full of cereal and she chewwed on it and swallowed it. "You didn't, they did." She replied. Cailyn mostly spoke of the voices like they where people that everybody could see and hear.
"I just didn't expect someone close to my age getting all set up to watch cartoons on a Saturday morning is all. It doesn't make you stupid if you do, it's just not something I'm used to seeing."
That made Cailyn think about herself. Was she weird because she watched cartoons. She remembered that as a kid she used to do it allot but then again she was stuck in a mental institution for like 10 years. She replied with: "They didn't let me watch cartoons where i lived." She spoke the truth and the whispers talked to her some more as she focused on the screen again.
"What's your name, anyway? I don't think I've ever seen you around here before. Are you a new resident?"
She turned her head around again. All this turning around and questions where fine and all to her but she tried to watch some cartoons. "They say my name is Cailyn." She said to the girl with a smile.
"A little old to be getting up early just to watch Saturday morning cartoons, aren't you?"
Cailyn was starled by the voice. She turned around to see a girl sitting in a chair. Immediatly she started hearing things again. The whispers where teasing her, changing the direction they talked to her and she moved her head to try and face them everytime with a bit of a oncomferable look on her face. She then stopped at the girl and said: "But i like cartoons." The whispers commented on her reply. They mostly said to her that she wasn't responding very well and that the girl thought she was stupid because of it. Cailyn believed them and moved her head facing towards the tv again only this time she wasn't smiling anymore. "Im not stupid." she softly replied to the whispers and she continued eating her breakfast and the crunching sound returned.
There seemed to be allot of joggers today but one person really stood out of the croud. Seemingly somebody didn't want to be recognized because that person was hiding behind some clothes. Cailyn found it rather interresting that somebody would dress this way.
The person seemed to have looked at her and then turned away. Whispers talked to her saying that the person was dangerous, not human. Cailyn believed it but she kept watching the person like a child seeing a big lollypop.
It was early in the saterday morning. Hymn woke up very early totally excited as if it was christmas morning and presents awaited her. To bad that it wasn't that day but she was excited to see saterday morning cartoons like she did when she was 7. Those where the things she treasured mosts and now that she was free again she took the oppertunity to take that old habit up again even thought she is 10 years older now.
She picked up some cerial and milk from the cafeteria and moved to the recreational area. Nobody was there yet because most of the people slept in on saterday mornings. She turned to tv on and with a little bit of toying around with the remote she found the right channel. She pulled of a few pillows from the couch and stacked them on the floor. She sat down on the pillows and crossed her legs, playing the bole in the hole that she made with her legs. She started her breakfast and the crunching sound could be heard throught the entire room. And so the cartoons began and a smile came on Cailyn's face as she rocked her body softly back and fort while looking at the tv that was hanging in the corner of the ceiling.
Hymn escaped the Sanctuary again this day. Well , escaped it a big word. She got out without anybody knowing. She found herself in the park again. She really liked that place because it was mostly calm and there where animals around. She liked animals exept if they hurt her. The park was always fun for her. Nice and calm and she didn't seem to have this much bother with her whispers when she was around area's like these.
She walked down the path with a smile on her face. The days wasn't very cold and the leaves fell of the tree's. The crisping of Cailyn's feet over the fallen leaves was heard as she went down the path. She found a big old tree in the middle of a field. She decided it could be fun to sit under it and look at the birds who where flying around. She sat down and looked around simply enjoying her freedom and the cool breeze that flew through the air. The grass felt soft and nice. She placed her hands in the grass and let her hands move through it while she sat with her back against the tree.
"White's fine and all," Vibe remarked, moving to a nearby rack, "but you really need some color, kid."
The two girls stacked up the clothes and all Cailyn could do was watch the shopping apocalypse that where the two girls. She never knew this was going to happen. Luckely for her she didn't have to carry it all.
When she reached the dressingroom the pile was almost reached the hight of her head. It was a bit scary for to think that she had wear everything. "Ever worn high heels before?"
She nodded: No and continued to watch the girls go insane over clothes. For the first time she didn't feel like the odd one in the group looking at how the girls kept going. Several times she tried to interrupt them but everything a soft : "Uh." came out. She finnaly got the courage to ask: " Am i going to wear all that?" The question sounded a bit silly though coming from her.
"All right, kid," Amp spoke up, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder. "First things first. We need to get you some decent clothes."
She gazed through the shop looking at all the clothes. She wasn't used to get to pick any of these types of things. The asylum picked you clothes for you. She walked around and looked at most of the things just in amuzement. It was more of a adventure for her then ever.
"See anything there you like? Or any colors you like?"
She found a white summerdress that really looked nice. She pointed at the dress. She just had to have it, it was like love at first sight. "That one." She said. She never had a dress before, even having her own clothes sounded exicting for her at the time.
Neena disappeared into her office with Cailyn's papers. She got a bit anxious about it hoping that they would aprove of her papers. She returned shortly giving Cailyn the impression that the headmistress wasn't here at the moment.
"I have to warn you, our students are quite the handful. Aside from the typical pre- and teenage problems, the majority don't have much control over their mutations. Have you ever had to deal with a mutant outburst before?"
They where talking about the same problems that Cailyn had that age though she was stuck in a mental institution at that age. She knew what went throught these kids minds and hoped she could deal with it. "I think we all had those problem." She replied. "And i hope i can give some insight about it." she added shortly.
Cailyn was dragged and pushed out of the sanctuary. It was friendly pushing, non of the pushing the guards used to do to her. She was out of the sanctuary and out in the city now. Times square to be precise but Cailyn had no idea what it was. It was big with lots of screens showing all kind of commercials. She was amazed by all the people walking through the square and by the big screens.
The two red heads knew the way around this town and Cailyn felt a bit adventurous. She walked a bit behind the two girls and she stood there amazed at al the colors and people and all she could get out of her mouth was : "Wouw." with big eyes that couldn't stop moving.
"Sure right this way Cailyn." "Of course," she agreed. Then, not one to be rushed unless necessary, she asked, "A model? Now that sounds like it must have been interesting. Do you have a favorite place you've traveled?"
Cailyn walked after the duo while answering the question. She had seen allot of places but she never wondered what her favorite was. "I don't know exactly but where ever there is nice weather and maybe a beach it would be good." she said with a smile. "And yes being a model is fun but very busy and you don't have allot of privacy to be honest." she added. She never enjoyed the privacy part of the job but nevertheless being payed to travel was fun.
They moved through all kinds of hallways and classrooms. She wondered if they had a gym or a pool. She never learned how to swim but it was one of the things that was on her to do list.
"Is this your first teaching job, or have you interned or worked before?"
"Did i get the job then." She said as a joke. She smilled because she doesn't make allot of jokes. "Well this would be my first real teaching job if you mean that." She added shortly after.
"Sounds like a plan then. Let's go pick up my sister, then we'll go. Maybe we can hit some shopping afterward. That oughta make ya happy again, right?"
She took the napkin that the girl offered and she blew her nose in it. She folded it 6 times and then placed it in the trash can. She never went to real shopping mainly because she had no clue what money is. What do people do with paper she mostly wondered about. She looked down at the floor and softly said: "I never been shopping, i don't know what money is."She felt a bit ashamed and her cheecks turned a bit red.
Seemingly the girl wanted to lead her somewhere. She looked around at the croud a bit scared and followed her. She didn't like crouds specially crouds that looked at her. She followed her through the halways again knowing she could never find her way back alone if she wanted to.
when they got into a office she didn't pay much attention to the girl but more to her surroundings. She looked around and suddenly the girl said something to her. "This is Amp, my sister," Vibe introduced her twin. To Amp she silently added, >Watch your thoughts. Just in case.<
Now there where two of them. Cailyn's eyes went big of amazement as she had no explaination for the sudden double girl. She shifted her eyes between the two girls and she noted that one had shorter hair.
"Hey, kid. What's up?"
Cailyn was amazed. They didn't do the same thing at the same time. "Hello." Cailyn said a bit amazed by shy. She didn't want to make the girl feel bad.
