The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

”I don’t see why,” she remarked. ”Seems to me that you’re the one doing the scaring.”
She sniffled and replied :"They where scary." and they where according to Cailyn. She was really scared of people threatening to hit her.
”What d’ya say we go out for breakfast instead, kid?” she asked Cailyn aloud. ”Maybe do some shopping. Get your mind off of these jerks.”
She let go of the girl and looked at her. She rubbed the tears out of her eyes and sniffed one last sniff and noded with a sad face. She wanted to get out of here for a moment just to clear her head as far as it could be cleared. The girl seemed a bit out of her comfort zone and Cailyn realized that. But she decided to stay with her seeing as she was the only one nice to her.
"I'm sure it is. The Headmistress will look it over as soon as she can."
She was glad that she thought everything was in order. She wouldn't have liked it if her first application would be a failure especially in times like these. She closed her bag. The other things in her bag where personal stuff like her favorite ribbon of lint.
"Well.... Cailyn, how about you tell us a bit about yourself, while we give you a tour of the Mansion? I'll drop this off in the office on our way."
Ow dear, the story of her life wasn't a pretty one. There where parts of it that Cailyn prefered not to tell to anybody but the headmistress. Especially her mental past was part of that. "Uh where to start." She said as she pulled her bag back up. She looked up at the ceiling a bit, going through the story in her thoughts. "Not much to say i'm just a late student who traveled around allot, even been a model for a short time which was fun when i think back at it." She said a bit hasty. She thought that she covered the most important things that would keep them away from her childhood. "Ok so how about that tour." She said to change the subject.
Cailyn cried a bit as she grabbed her stomach. She was so scared that she felt sick in her stomach. She softly cried and the girl kneeled down besides her.
"Are you okay kid?" She snorted. "Whatever you did to Blythe really threw her for a loop."
She looked at her with tears in her eyes and just started hugging her. She cried on her shoulder and said softly to her: "Im scared." She felt better in these times when she could be with somebody. She was normally always alone to deal with these kind of things but she couldn't and she was hoping the girl understood.
Cailyn let one slip and they already figured out what she did, well atleast a part of it. She shook Neena's hand and simply said: "I just know things." With a smile. She felt comfortable around the two mutants she just met at the school seeing as they understood what she could do with just one little example that she dropped.
"Welcome to Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters, Ms. Cailyn. Do you have a resume' I could see? Or that the Headmistress could?" She chuckled, and corrected herself.
She didn't know how to react to the entire blind joke and just said: "Aw, just call me Cailyn." and she put her bag down, opened it and started sniffing around in it. She pulled out a bunch of papers that where bound together. "Here you go." She said as she handed to papers. "I hope everything is in order?" She asked because she was a little bit nervous for her first job interview.
Cailyn let go of the litte girl and wiped her eyes. She had one little aftersniff of the cry marathon and then looked at the girl. She pulled a smile and offered the little girl her hand to walk her to the sanctuary. "I will try." She said to the girl hoping it would make her happy. She really wanted to help the sad little girl to find her parents and maybe make some friends. She thought that she could be good friends with the little girl as they had allot in common acording to Cailyn.
It worked on Cailyn and she looked at him angry and lashed out at her father. She walked forward and said clearly and loud: “Leave me alone.” Her father was clearly surprised by it. He thought he could undermine her and get her back into the asylum by scaring her. Her father grinned at her and said: “So you want to play with the big boys now, fair enough.” And he cracked his fingers as a piano player. And suddenly he stood right in front of Cailyn as if he moved with lightning speed but it wasn’t. It was actually her father stunning her mind for a second and move in front. Cailyn gasped for a second but did not move as he was looking straight into your eyes. He pushed her with one hand and used his psychokinesis on her to push her all the way back against the wall and hold her their.
“You are not ready you ignorant child.” He said as he raised his voice against her for the first time. Cailyn was helplessly held against the wall by his powers and he stepped towards his desk again. He opened the drawer and got out a letter opener. He twiddled with it as he moved back to Cailyn. As he stood right in front of her again he made her spread her arms and put her in the position that jezus was crucified in. He used the knife to cut a small cut on Cailyn’s lower left arm to ad another scar and then jabbed the knife through her hand into the wall. Cailyn screamed of pain because of her father’s act of torment. All her father did was hold his same serious face and look at her scream. He took few steps backwards and as he did that his footsteps no longer echoes through the room. He actually floated less then a inch above the ground and he said as he stopped and turned around: “This is how grown-ups play.”
He took off his sunglasses to show his yellow, catlike eyes. His arms raised into the air as his tie started floating because of his powers. He used his powers to grab the swords of the armors around the room and keep them floating behind him as a grim message of fear. “You cannot even image what powers I have and still you wished to face me.” He said in a arrogant voice. “Admirable.” He added with a chuckle as he pulled the knife out of Cailyn’s hand with his mind. Cailyn screamed again and she tried to grab her hand but she still couldn’t move. The knife hovered in front of Cailyn’s head and it moved slowly up and down as the blood dripped of the blade. Her father tilted his head and his neck softly cracked. He grinned and the knife went down to her left leg and it started cutting up her pants, leaving some cut marks but not to much. He repeated that the same at her right leg as he tilted his head to other way. Cailyn was scared out of her mind and the whispers went berserk until she suddenly heard nothing. It stopped, everything that influence her mind stopped and she fell down on the floor. “Am I dead, is it over, Am I alone.” She asked herself softly. He father moved his head forward a bit and swallowed. He didn’t have a clue what was going on and why he lost control of her body.
Cailyn’s mind went blank and all she thought of was about what just happened. She was in some kind of place in her own mind right now. She felt different and strange like something she had been carrying for a while just popped open and changed her. She felt scared and angry at the same time, Free and imprisoned, powerful yet weak but nevertheless: Alive. All these emotions she experienced, she experienced on her own. Her friendships and enemies that she made at the 2 years she was free. All the adventures she took on her own. She proved that she didn’t need anybody but wanted people to be close. It proved that she was strong.
Suddenly she snapped out of it and could see the floor she laying on that was covered in her blood. She picked herself of the floor and tried to stand up but her legs wouldn’t let her. She looked up at her confused father as her breathing slowed down again. “What is this!?” He screamed. “How can you defy me?!” Cailyn smirked as she felt more powerful then even and her soft tune filled the room as she started floating just like her father. This was just the beginning of the fight but certainly it would only become more intense.
"I'm C-coraline." "I'm lost. I'm trying to get back to my time or find my parents in this one." she explained. "but everytime I get upset or scared I teleport somewhere"
The girl started crying and Cailyn couldn't handle sad stories very well. It reminded her of what she went through. Cailyn softly cried with her and hugged the little gir even though the whispers told her not to do that with the whole teleportation powers the girl had. She hugged her without picking her off the floor and said: "Now you made me sad too, i want you to be happy." to the girl. She was telling the thruth because Cailyn couldn't resist sad people at all. She knew what it was like to be sad and didn't want other to be that.
The screaming and the song attracted all kind of attention to the young mutant. She noted the person trying to hit her but the girl seemed to help her out by freezing him. Cailyn "floated" to the boy and moved her head towards his left ear. She landed and held the boy in a hug and she whispered: "Cry for me." into his ear and she give him a kiss on the cheek. She let go of the boy as his eyes went big and looked very scared for a person who couldn't move. The hymn slowly went softer till it couldn't be heard anymore. Cailyn grabbed her head as the whispers screamed on the top of their lungs about what she. She was sorry and she fell to her knees and cried softly.
"you tell me who you are. If you try to hurt me I'll send you to antartica!"
The girl attached herself to Cailyn's leg and started yelling at her. Cailyn didn't even know what a antartica was and why the girl was yelling. She looked at the girl a bit sadly because she was yelled at by her. "Why are you yelling? " She asked in a sad voice. She didn't like it when people yelled at her and it made her sad. She totally forgot that she asked her a question and that suddenly hit her. "They say i am Cailyn." she replied to the question.
Cailyn found herself out on the streets. She liked exploring the sanctuary and the town around. Now that she was able to go where she wanted, she went out almost everyday just to find out what is where and to learn things.
She pushed the doors open a bit and went outside. She walked a bit carefull and looked around. She could never get enough of looking around. She suddenly noted a little girl lying on the ground. Cailyn carefully aprouched her and kneeled down. She looked at the girl while tilting her head and softly said: "hello."
She looked around some more and she noted a woman who was reading a book with her fingers. Seemingly she was blind but Cailyn somehow knew that she wasn't completly helpless and without some kind of vision. She had a weird sense for those kind of things. She also had a strange name though she didn't know why she knew her name either. Cailyn wasn't suprised anymore about it since she discovered that it belonged to her powers.
"Hello, Shawn," she greeted the silver man with a wide smile, and by name, though she currently couldn't see him. "Who's your friend?"
Cailyn smiled even though the girl was blind. She offered her a hand and said: "Nice to meet you Neena, I am Cailyn and i am trying to aply for a job." With a smile. It might sounded creepy knowing somebody's name already but she knew that keeping those kind of informations stored up caused inregularities for her powers. She was amoungst mutants so they might even understand.
"Found something ya like, eh? Is cereal all you're gonna eat? Here. Try these."
Cailyn looked at the things that the girl wanted to get for her. They seemed to be strawberry's. Cailyn had them when she was young, atleast if they were real that is. Seemingly this other person wanted them too but the girl was sooner. The other girl was tall and had lots of metal on her face. It kind of scared Cailyn. "Get your own, Blythe," she snapped.
"You bet I will."
She grabbed Cailyn's food. She eeped at it because she might as wel try to hurt her or something. Not only did she grab her food she also grabbed her toy. The whispers started talking again that she shouldn't be bossed around just because she is smaller. And then the toy was crushed. She dropped her plate and her lower lip started trembling as if she was about to cry.
"Welcome to the Sanctuary, Blondie. Next time, remember to bring a toll, not a toy,"
"That was mine." She softly said to the girl with a very sad face. She slowly lifted of the floor and her hands started twitching. Her eyes went blank and a hymn was spreading through the room. "That was mine." She repeated only this time in a whisper. The girl that snatched the car suddenly started screaming and rubbing her body screaming :"Get them off , get them off!" Nobody but Cailyn knew that she now thought there where snakes and other creatures crawled over her body.
She followed the boy inside. She looked around the hallway keeping her bag against her legs. She examined the hallways and it seemed like a very nifty place to stay in. Everything looked so nice compared to most of the places she had seen. Children ran around playing and they where probably all mutants. It seemed very confortable to live carefree like that in these times. She was handed a pamphlets that she took.
"My names Shawn by the way."
"Nice to meet you." She said shortly as she covered herself by reading the pamphlet. She didn't know how to interact with people allot and she found it hard. She never been with anybody either so though luck for her.
"So, um. Where'd you get your biology degree?"
She looked up from the pamphlet and looked at him. She kept quiet for a moment and said: "Ow uh, New york university." with a smile. She folded the pamphlet back together and put her hair behind her ear again. The time at the university was fun for her, got to meet allot of people, had some alone time and actually learned something.
(OOC: This is the solo that explains how Cailyn got her powers in the FP, there is a possibility that this will happen one time in the real plot. rest will follow when i finished it =) )
Cailyn felt like this was her time to shine. To finally see her father again and show him how his little girl grew up. She would prove him wrong for putting her away and show him how she managed to learn allot of things on her own or with the help of her new friends. She always knew where her father was somehow as if she was told by him where he would be.
She took a bus to the nearby town and ventured through the deserted town. Her father seemingly set his base of operation here. The streets where deserted and most of the houses had their curtains up. It made her feel scared because she knew the impact her father could have on everything and everyone. He was a man hell-bent on gaining power and keeping his arrogance on a high level.
Cailyn wandered through the town with her long coat wrapped around her. It was a cold day and the sun started setting. She came up to a big mansion like building with the gate hanging of its hinges. This looked like the place for him to be hiding but there where no guards posted anywhere. She carefully entered the mansions grounds and looked around. The flowers and trees where long dead and it looked like nobody ever came though. She now knew that her father would be here. He would always pick out places you would least expect him to be. She walked up to the fountain that stood in the middle of the path towards the front door. She looked down into the water and saw her own reflection. It had been a while since she had a haircut and she now had long, blond hair. The dirt on the fountain floated around in the water and blurred the vision a bit. She turned her head and confidently walked to the doors and entered the building.
The building was in the same shape as the garden. The walls where dirty and dusty pictures where hanged on them. The hallway had a giant flight of stairs in the middle and 4 doors leading to different rooms, 2 at each side. She put her hair behind her ear with her hand and looked around. The floor was squeaky and with every step your heard it crack. She felt a presence here as if it was just told to her. She placed her index finger on the wall to just see if it was real. When she touched it the wall rippled like she would touch water. The mansion interior weren’t real and Cailyn found that out. She and her father had almost the same powers and they seemed to be connected somehow. The scenery suddenly changed like it was splashed with water. The texture of the walls dripped of the walls showing what they really where.
The mansion now showed it’s true self and it was actually a mansion redesigned to be a office building. There where some desks in the rooms that where next to the hallway. Knowing her father he would always have the room with the best view so she started walking up the flight of stairs. As she touched the staircase her whispers went berserk telling her not to go up and that it was dangerous. She ignored them for the very first time in her life because she wanted this to be resolved.
As she came to the very end of the stairs a pair of big, oriental crafted doors blocked her path. She laid her hand on it and closed her eyes. She felt his presence and he felt hers. He knew she was coming. The doors softly opened with a creek but not by Cailyn’s hands but by some other force. Soft classic music was filling the very tightly kept office of her father. It was enormous with his desk at the very end. Everything was made out of perfectly refined wood. The floor was made of marble though. Suits of armor decorated the walls of his office and so did the weapons of that time. She stepped into the office and the doors closed behind her. Her father was standing at the big window at the very end of the office, looking outside.
“You came.” He said with a echoing voice towards Cailyn without even turning around. His voice was full of arrogance and sarcasm. He held his hands behind his back waiting for Cailyn to reply. Cailyn was a bit scared of what she got herself into but she knew she had to step up for this to be settled. She wanted her father to stop hunting her and stop trying to make her do things she didn’t want and to just leave her alone. “Asking questions you know the answer too is silly.” She replied in her own childlike manner.
Her father turned around. He was wearing a black suit with a black turtleneck. His short blond hair was combed backwards and he was wearing a pair of black sunglasses. He had a uninterested and serious look on his face as always. He kept his hands on his back and started speaking. “I guess I can’t persuade you to return to the hospital and let me work with you again, you really disappointed me this time.” He said with his monotone arrogant voice.
Cailyn was scared of him and he knew that. He always talked very calm to her like he had nothing to fear of her but this time Cailyn wouldn’t budge. This time it ended. “What is it that you want.” Her father asked the same way as before. Cailyn bit her lip and softly said: “I want to be left alone.” Her father pulled up a grin and walked closer to Cailyn. His dress shoes echoed on the ground with every step. “You have to speak up if you want to be heard.” He said with sarcasm in his voice. He was clearly making fun of Cailyn. She repeated herself a little bit louder but it still was very soft. Again her father replied only this time with: “What?” He was still walking towards her.
As he stood but a inch away from Cailyn, he towered menacingly over her as he was bigger then her. Cailyn got really scared. She put her chin against her chest as she turned her eyes away from her father. She didn’t want to look at him. “I am so disappointed in you.” Her father said. “I thought you grew a backbone by now.” He continued. He turned around and started walking around the room while looking a bit at the surroundings. “You looking me up, I thought you would finally learned something valuable, but I guess it was stupid of me to think that way.” He said as he pulled of the gloves he was wearing and put them on his desk. “I guess I shouldn’t give you so much credit, but I expected more of you my girl.” He continued. This was clearly a strategy to throw Cailyn of balance or to simply make her mad.
"Um. Ok. Can I ask what for? Are you looking for a job? or a place to stay for a while?"
This where some of the standard questions she thought she would hear and actually tested some lines in the mirror. "Ow yes, i am technicly here for both." She said with a smile. Her glasses didn't seemed to stay put and she took them off examined the leg by moving it in and out. Nothing seemed to be wrong and she put them back on. This probably made her really look silly and a very clumsy teacher.
"Come in Miss..."
"Ah yes, how rude of me." she said. "My name isCailyn Lyndall, and i'm am a biology teacher." She continued. "well atleast i try to be." She added with a smile as if she felt uncomfortable. He would probably a student here who graduated and stayed at the place for a while till he figured out where to go to work or he could be a teacher but he didn't look like one.
