The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The boy didn't respond to the basic boo out of a horror movie. It would be time to crank it up a bit and try to get the boy to leave. If he was still to stuborn to leave after this , then the big guns would be used and all hell would break out. Hymn focused her powers on the infiltrators mind and started to pull something out of her hat. She decided to put him in a perpetual 9 room square which would stay that way unless the boy figured out the riddle that was behind this misshif. Her hands started twitching as she put he mojo on the young man. In these room, everytime the boy would walk straight through 3 of the identical rooms he would encountered a ravine that could only be flown over. Seeing as the boy didn't have wings of somekind crossing them would be tricky. Even though this happened in his mind, Hymn made sure it looked real to the boy.
Pix’s little by leg made a cross in the tiny bit of air in front of her, and then she darted up to hover next to the lady’s ear. “Of course there are people here. You should really watch where you’re going.” Then recognition hit her. “Hey! I know you.”
A little buzzing came from the small bee next to her. Cailyn literly picked up the penny for her thoughts out of her mind. Seemingly the penny was very interresting that was one the ground. The bee was very familiar to her and she definantly knew who it was. It was the pixy lady who rescued her from the Asylum 10 years ago or so. The bee talked to her and Cailyn straightened her glasses to take a closer look. "You remember me?" She asked with a smile. She picked up the penny that the pixy lady wanted to save and held it in front of the bee. "Penny for your thoughts?" She joked around showing of her newly devoloped social skills. It had been a while since the two of them spoke and Cailyn certainly changed for the beter to say the least. It was good to see that some people still where around the sanctuary and that she stil had friends here. It lifted her spirit knowing that she wasn't walking into a new sanctuary with strange people she never met before, that would have been akward.
Madberry Mental Ward, Previously owned and supervised by Lyndal industries, Cailyn's father. Now it was a rundown old building, filthy and dirty. All the documentation of previous patients was taken away by the company that her father owned, moved to another position. Cailyn was drawn to this place as a moth to a flame. She came here because it felt like a safe place. A place where her father would never check for her, a safe place to practice her control over her power.
She was in the top office of the building, floating with milky white eyes. Her song echoed through the hallways as her powers where fully operational, all limitations lifted. If anybody would move into the range of her powers, all hell would break lose in the mind of the adventurer. The surroundings would be twisted in akward things or horrid nightmares and nothing would be the same. This was the perfect defense ofcourse since people who would encounter these things would normaly back of or run scared. Her mind had no limits and her fantasies, nightmare and dreams where on the lose looking for something to influence.
She sensed that somebody entered the premices. Seemingly a jolly figure who thought it would be fun to trespass and explore. The first test subject for Hymn. Cailyn named herself that when she wasn't herself anymore, she named herself that when the whispers and voices spun a tune and influenced her body till a point she could not resist. The whispers started to invade the boys mind, Telling him all kinds of thing. Back of, enter if you dare, be afraid, Hell is here; where some of the many whispers that where sent to the boy. If he dared to continue, more measures would be taken to keep him away from her.
“You Don’t need to apologize Gweneviere, he will survive and no one was hurt. You Weren’t hurt were you?” the waiter ought to prey that she wasn’t.” Perhaps we could read the story together?”
Reading was something she didn't do in a long time. It is a fact that most children hate reading but when she was young she didn't have a chance to read as much as she wanted. The question was now, would she understand what the book would be about. She never passed 6th grade reading or something. In a matter of fact she was taken out of school just when she had finished learning how to read. "Ok." She said a bit hesitantly and decided that reading would be good for her. The fact that a friendly big red guy wanted to help her made her feel like she met santa for the first time. Atleast there where some similarities. She put up a chair next to the red man and sat down next to him in a attempt to read along with him.
Cailyn, with her new position as teacher hasn't found a decent moment to visit the sanctuary in a long time. With the entire virus deal going on and their ways towards humans, they have been in a bad light and with her newly found sanity it sounded scary to go back. Never the less, they have always been good to her and they desirved a little visit by her. Atleast to catch up on thing.
She passed by the golden doors a couple of times. It looked like they tightened up security. She stood in front of the doors trying to build up courage to just walk through the door. But who would greet her, maybe a new radical mutant who didn't like her colorful outfit and glasses. She remembered mutants who stole her prices from the cereal boxes or the remote. Those people weren't very nice but they needed shelter and food just like the rest. Eventually she conjured up her courage and opened the door. She stood in the large hallway and softly asked: "Hello, anyone there ? "
Fluffy sheep and icecream where in the dreams of the girl who was laying in the bed. She wasn't supposed to be there seeing as she didn't even live there. She came here when the fighting started at the party and now she is laying unconsious in the infirmary. Her eyes where wide open and milky white and her body was floating half a inch above the bed she was laying on. A soft song floated around the room seeing as there was no consiousness that controled her body at the moment, her power slowly started seeping out her body. If the girl didn't wake up soon it would start to grow stronger and seep into the mind of others, making them think about other things that could be potentionaly dangerous towards them. Nontheless, the girl itself was harmlessly dreaming in her subconsiouness not know what is happening around her. Well she would just have to wait and she what the damage would become when she isn't there to control her body.
“I always liked King Arthur; I am enjoying this one very much, it is taking me back to a better time. Have you read it?”
King arthur was something she heard about once. Atleast it was a story she remember. It was about a king obviously. She pondered and scratched her head. King arthur, and suddenly it hit her. It was about the man with the sword in the stone and a wizard called merlin. She nodded to abyss and said : "Not read it, but its about a king and a sword in a stone and a wizard with a grey beard who could do all kinds of powy things and stuff. " She started to babble on explaining every thing she said with actions and words at the same time. With all the moving and explaining things with her hand she knocked over a tray from a waiter. The glasses of champagne where dropped to the floor. She turned around and gasped. "Sorry, sorry ,sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry." She said to the man as she watched him pick up his plate.
(ooc: sorry for the shortness , i'm a bit sickish =< )
It was becoming to much for her. The excitement of all the people in the area and the whispers just where to much. It was like her systems overloaded. One moment there where whispers and screams running through her head with a hymn as a undertone and the next it was all blank. Her body quickly followed her mind as it shut down. Her eyes went blank and she passed out with her eyes opened. She fell on the floor and didn't move anymore. If it wasn't for her slow breathing it would almost seem as if she was dead. But she was far from dead, her body needed to do shut her down because she couldn't handle it. She breathed slowly as the music dimmed. What was to happen with her in a place she didn't belong and no more way to defend herself from anything.
the young man knew how to dance. Sadly for Cailyn, she didn't. She wasn't quite able to keep up with the young man as he did his part. She almost stepped on his toes quite a few times though. It would be funny to see what happened if she did that but it would make her look more stupid then she already did. As the dance came to a end she let go of the youngman. She gave him a short bow as a token of grattitude and skitted of. It was fun to dance for once with somebody who knew how dance but she definantly needed more work.
As she plowed through the crowd she saw the big red man reading a book. It was her gift and she was glad he liked it. She snuck up from behind and raised herself to look over his shoulder. He seemed pretty into it and she kept watching with him over his shoulder. Maybe he would notice at some point but that was half the fun of it.
She had to get out of here. The voices where having a party in her head and she wasn't invited. They told her strange things about the danger and trouble she was in. She didn't belong here. She got up and tried to stumble out the room. Her head hurt really bad as a result of her powers and the amount of people in the area. Especially because they where coming all together. She fell to her knees, she couldn't go on like this it had to be stopped. She was leaning against the wall holding her head. She couldn't go on and her eyes started to blink real fast. She was losing control and a soft Hymn started to doom up in the room. Cailyn didn't want this but she didn't have a choice. It was becoming to much for her and she was scared. One of her hand started twitching and she whispered : "Leave me alone."
Cailyn was a bit sunken into her own little world. She didn't know any of the people, and socializing wasn't her expertise to say the least. However someone with a mask asked her to dance. First of all she had never danced before, well not really dance dancing. Dancing was frowned on in the mental institute and mostly resultated into punishment. She looked around for guards of somekind to make sure she could try it out. Dancing was exciting for her, another new experience she never had in childhood. "Ok." she said a bit hestantly and if she didn't have her mask on everyone could see that she had a blush on her face. She accepted his hand and she was lead to the dancefloor away from everybody she didn't know and towards (suprise) everyone else she didn't know.
"Hear ya go. I'm afraid I don't know where your room is, though. How long ago did you move in?"
The woman presented more cake. Could it be evil cake made to capture her, or was it good cake full of chocolaty filling. The dilemma that followed was something that she wasn't prepared for. To take the cake or not to take the cake.... that was the question. She shook her head in a no meaning way. She couldn't risk the chance that it could be evil cake to capture her. She needed to get out of here as soon as possible and find a way to her safe haven. She didn't belong here that was for sure.
"I dont' have a room." She softly said. She didn't know what else to do. She couldn't find a way out of here. Seeing as the door was blocked by the woman who was friendly..... a bit to friendly , very suspision. She felt like sherlock holmes and in her mind she said " Interesting." In a sherlock holmes kind of way. Whispers started to spook in her head though. People where coming, and lots of them bringing all kinds of information with them. The whispers told her everything but all she could think of was getting out of here. If only she would have taken her mask with her. The whispers marched up and Cailyn couldn't control it anymore. She grabbed the sides of her head, closed her eyes while looking down and screamed: "Get away from me." This was not only directed to the woman but also to the whispers in her head.
With big eyes she nodded. Surely she wanted to get out of there. Voices spooked her head telling her what people thought. The other people where all thinking a similair thought but in different variantions. Where they safe and what was the woman. Surely she wasn't a police officer. Police officers wouldn't play things like she did.
She got up, patted her pants of as if they where dirty and she was ready to leave this smelly place. She slowly walked to the door a bit paraniod, looking around at other people that where staring at her and Leila. If there was ever a more akward moment then this it would need a award for. Once at the door she opened it up and felt the cold air against her face. Safety would surely be needed after something like this and she was going straight home for it..... this time.
Hymn was dragged along for a meeting with somebody who was on the tv once in a while. It was her first meeting with somebody who knew how the tv looked like from the inside. She was standing behind pix, hiding a bit trying no to act "out of order".
She wore what she would normally wear. Black pants and her fluffy jacket. She didn't have that much fancy clothes and mostly she feared them. She tryed to stay behind pix since she didn't know the boss lady very well. Most people found her scary but hymn didn't notice it that much.... yet.
