The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Well you can learn how to better control, uh...Soul, here. You can't be fighting with other residents here. Not that I'm blaming you or her specifically, but neither of you should be fighting." *Tricity recalled Daria fighting with Kage Hunter as well, warning her not to fight if it isn't necessary. It's a good thing Mike had been with Daria again. She turned back to Ruruki again.* "Well, I'm glad you can control your mutation."
*Tricity sighed and waved it off.* "Yea, let's not talk about him. I need to ask you two a couple questions. First, I need a description of your mutations to make sure you aren't a danger to yourself or anyone else."
*Tricity pulled open the door, but didn't look up as she walked back over to her desk to fill out some papers. She finally looked up and saw the two young women standing there.* "Hello."
*Tricity had checked Daria's message just before going to bed around 3am. She was happy to add another member of the team, seeing as things were probably going to get a little crazy soon enough. A few hours later, the phone rang, waking Tricity up.* "Hello??" "Hello, Delilah." *Tricity sat straight up in her bed, seeing the new morning's sun pouring through her sheer curtains and onto the wooden floor. She pulled the covers off of her and quickly went to her large windows, yanking the curtains back. The grounds were silent and peaceful, nothing but the morning birds singing. At least he wasn't here...* "What do you want?" whitmore: "I know where the red stone is. I don't know if you X-Men have any idea on its whereabouts, but if you get in my way, I promise not to take it easy on you...or those children. I'll have men stationed within a few miles of the mansion, just in case you and those X-Men try and come after me and my men while we proceed to retrieve the gem." *Tricity's mind raced. How were they going to intercept the General's plans? She didn't want to risk the chance of anyone getting hurt and sneaking in past museum hours seemed like the best idea...but, now she wasn't so sure. She sat down on the bench under the window.* "Whitmore, don't do this..." whitmore: "It's too late." *There was a click and then the dial tone. Tricity tossed the cordless across the room, smashing it into pieces. The appliances in her room began to flicker on and off; the television switching stations and going in and out of reception; the alarm clock radio going on and off as the 12:00 flashed on its screen. She took a deep breath and they returned back to normal. It seemed like their only option was to take the stone during the day before Whitmore or confront him at night when the museum is closed. Another thought ran into her head. What if he's bluffing and their watching to see the X-Men lead them to where the red stone was?? Tricity grabbed her baby blue, silk robe, wrapped it around her, and headed downstairs to the War Room.*
"Hey hey hey hey hey hey...I don't need to hear that!!" *Tricity linked arms with Sarah and took the lead to head to the infirmary.* "You're gonna meet the DocProf. He's a healer and also a mutant."
*Tricity smiled and stood straight up, putting an arm around Sarah.* "Hmmm...then it's a good thing you came to this school, Sarah. You'll learn a better vocabulary here than what your brother apparently says around you." *She said, laughing.* "Should we head upstairs to see what her genetic mutation is?"
"Ah...I see your brother taught you flattery gets you everywhere, Sarah." *Tricity said, touching the girl on the nose as she bent down to her level. She looked up at Cassiel.* "You don't know about her mutation, right?"
*She took her legs off the desk and smiled as they walked in.* "I got the message." *Tricity said to him and then looked down at the young girl.* "Hey, cutie. How are ya?"
"Uh...thanks." *Tricity took Janie's hand and then spoke to Elvis.* "It's dinner time for the residents. If you'd like to see the other children, and can go down steps, come to the kitchen and dining rooms." *She walked toward the door to leave.* "Why am I talking to this thing like it's human..."
"Good." Janie: "Ms. Tipper, are you pregnant??" *Tricity was taken aback by the girl's sudden question.* "What makes you say that?" Janie: "Some of the students. Is Mr. Orion the baby's father?" "Well, yes...to both questions." Janie: "How come you didn't tell me??" *The little girl stuck her lip out, clearly hurt.* "I wasn't ready to tell anyone yet. I didn't tell anyone else. Promise." Janie: "Ok...Can I tell people now?" "No, I'll tell them. You keep it a secret, ok?" *Tricity figured that couldn't happen, but Janie was able to hold it in for maybe a day. Tricity hoped she would be able to tell everyone formally before then. After taking Janie off of her lap, Tricity looked down at the bot.* "That goes for you too, Elvis. No talking about my pregnancy."
