The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I think it's pretty obvious everyone in this house is on OUR side..." *She said turning to face him. Her watch sounded and it was time for her afternoon art class with the younger ones.* "I gotta get going." *Tricity grabbed her suitcase and checked herself in the mirror before taking her beeper for security purposes.* "Find me later so we can talk more."
"Yea, I just hope nothing terrible happens. I have a feeling this is going to be an all out war. We've never had to deal with an enemy like Whitmore before." *Tric said, sighing.*
"Thanks. I know I'll need the help, since I have to run the mansion along with being a new mother." *She thought for a moment and then spoke.* "Once, a long time ago, Orion left when I told him I love him. He was afraid of commitment and ran from it. At one point, his brother and I became involved and Orion came walking back on the greens of the mansion one day. Everything became really confusing, but in the end, Orion and I started dating again with the serious commitment as you can see." *She said referring to her pregnancy.* "I just hope he isn't leaving again now that something serious is happening. He's not the type to run from a fight, but matter of the heart is a bit sketchy." *Tricity laughed nervously.* "Sorry, I don't mean to vent. I'm sure you don't really want to hear this..."
"We're working out how to get into the museum and using your powers is definitely something we've thought of." *Tricity looked away from him and then began speaking.* "Um...about us. I'm engaged, Kaine. I'm supposed to marry Orion." *She stood up from the desk and walked over the open, large windows of her room, watching the students play outside.* "Orion has been gone for several months and I haven't heard anything from him. He's the type to leave for a long time and then come back unexpectedly. It hurts a lot...but I always dealt with it." *She took a deep breath and then turned to him.* "If he hasn't been captured by Whitmore and is off on one of his...outtings, then yes, I can try and start dating again. But having a newborn, I don't know how much free time I'll have. My life will be revolving around the baby."
*She shrugged and smiled, placing her hands on her small, rounding stomach.* "I'm actually showing a bit now. After like 7 and a half months. Things have been getting hectic with Whitmore. I've added more people to the X-Men now that we know where the stone is and we know Whitmore knows where it is too. We're planning to try and stop him, which means we might have to steal the stone ourselves...somehow."
"Yea, Whitmore is effective and efficient." *Tricity watched him take the gun again.* "I don't allow guns in the mansion, Kaine." *She said, seriously.*
"Well, whoever sent that man out to scout what happened at the mountain with the falls is going to realize he hasn't come back. I'm sure they know you're staying here at the mansion and I just don't want a...surprise visit from them, if you know what I mean." *She explained, sitting on her desk.*
"I'm sorry...I didn't mean any harm." *She said, backing away and sitting on her desk.* "I lost someone important to me and I think General Whitmore may have him in his facility. I'm desperate to know for sure. Listen, have the DocProf check you out. He has a specific type of telepathy that might lead to bringing some of those memories out of you. He's in the infirmary, down the hall. Once you've seen him, let me know what happened." *Tricity led Desiree out of the room and toward the door.* "I'm sorry you had to come here on such a negative note."
*Tricity grabbed Desiree's shoulders and looked her in the eyes.* "Do you remember where you were? What about seeing anyone?" *She was thinking of Orion.*
"No...no he can't. Ruruki, can you excuse us please?" *Ruki nodded and left the room so they could talk privately. Tricity stood up and took Desiree's arm to examine it.* "Do you remember anything at all?"
"HEY ELVIS!! Come here..." *As the bot rolled in, Tricity gave it instructions to scan the girls. Tricity also explained everything about General Whitmore.* "The bot won't hurt. He's just going to scan for a green gem."
