The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tricity smiled at Fade's response and tried not to cry. Emotions were running high with her since the baby was due any day now, though that didn't demean Fade's answer in any way. Raphael finished his answer and Tricity turned to him.
"Well, we'll definitely have to do some measurements for uniforms," she replied with a smile. "I've seen both of you under combat conditions before, so there's no need for any exams. We will be having a practice in a couple days, so be prepared for that in the Danger Room." Tricity took a pause and tried to think of anything else. "I think that's all. I'll be sure to let you know exactly when training will start though. The training sessions are real danger practices, so you may get hurt in the process and expected to act accordingly...unless of course it's a serious injury. We like to keep all possibilities in high risk situations available for practices since it can happen in the real world." Tricity smiled and sighed. "That's about it. Welcome to the X-Men. Questions?"
Tricity sighed as she watched Deathstar quickly leave. The young woman had completely taken her answer out of context...and Tricity was completely confused, once again, about Deathstar.
She pushed open her door and gave a small smile to Raphael and Fade. "Hi, guys." After putting the last bite of her sandwich in her mouth, Tricity sat down behind her desk and motioned to the others to sit in the chairs or her bed. "Sooo..looking to be X-Men, yes? I'd be glad to let you guys join. There are a few standards. You'll have to practice in the Danger Room and you'll both be starting as back-up types. This means you won't take head positions, but you'll be invited and expected to help in missions when called. How does that sound to you?"
Tricity's mouth had fallen open slightly as the clear and annoyed aura between these two women continued. It was only when Raphael spoke did she close it and folded her arms in confusion, furrowing her eyebrow. "Well...Fade and Raphael, I'd be happy to talk to you about joining, just come into my room for a moment." She waited until they entered and then pulled the door closed to talk to Deathstar. "You're a new resident and we have yet to really get to know one another. It takes a lot of discipline and teamwork," she began with a smile, stressing 'teamwork' since Deathstar seemed to have a serious issue with people. She'd argued with a possible new resident and then it seemed she already had an issue with Fade and Raphael without being here very long. "Once you've lived here a while and showed the necessary skills, I'll take it into consideration. Is there anything else you needed, Deathstar?"
Tricity came down the hallway and saw three familiar faces standing at her door. "Hey, guys. Hope you weren't waiting here long..." she said, moving in front of the trio and unlocking her door as she took a bite of her sandwich that she'd just made. "Are these private matters?" Tricity asked and turned to face them, wondering what everyone was there for and seeing who was here first.
"Understandable. I could use one myself, but...I seriously need an assistant. I laughed when the Doc told me that, but I think he may be right, sadly." Tricity sighed and shrugged. "Guess I can't do it all!!"
She crossed her arms over her lap and smiled. "Well, have a blast. Bring me back something!"
"No. I was unavailable and you needed to take action. That's why you're second in command. If the first is out of commission, that being me, the second, that being you, should take over," she explained quite simply with a smile. "I'm very glad you did. Things could've turned out...a lot different."
Tricity smirked at Mike, shaking her head. "Don't worry about him. He means well. Really..."
She pushed back the covers and grabbed the water by her night stand. "Well, I guess have fun then. Keep in touch...yes, I have to act like a mother, so get over it!"
"I'm all right. The Doc gave me some meds that keep me knocked out for a few hours so I can properly rest without interference from life's noises," she replied and nodded toward the hallway, indicating the ruckus from the kids. "I'm fine though. Where you guys headed and why wasn't I invited??" she teased.
Orion turned his head around to presumably where Tricity was lying in her bed. She nodded for Orion to let Mike in, so he opened the door all the way. "Hi, Mike," she greeted with a smile. "Ri, just give us a minute, ok?"
"Sure thing." Orion replied, but Tricity had a feeling he wasn't so keen on her having visitors.
"What's up, hun??" She readjusted herself in the bed to a sitting up position. "How are you and everyone?"
Orion insisted on carrying Tricity down from the infirmary and back to her bedroom for more resting. She felt rather weak, it was true, but being carried seemed overboard. He pushed open the door and lay her in bed, moving the blankets down for her.
"Ri, I'm fine. I'm just gonna try and sleep some more, all right?"
"You know I worry. I've been gone and I just feel like I need to make up...," he began, but Tricity interrupted.
"You don't have to make up for anything. It's not your fault you were...gone." The drugs the DocProf had given her were slowly making her drousy. "Archon is in the Cave. Why don't you head over there and...I don't know, loosen up?"
"Fine. But I'll be back a little later tonight," he replied, stepping over Tricity and kissing her forehead before leaving her room. She turned her head to the side and began to drift to sleep.
*Tricity put her hands up and shook her head.* "No, no. We don't take money for room and board or anything. There's no need to pay. Keep the money for other things you may need or want. If you really would like some kind of job, you could maybe have a sorta gym class teaching the kids the basics of basketball?"
"Well the mission is for a young mutant attending here so she can better learn her history. What kind of job are you looking for exactly?" *She asked, with a raised eyebrow.*
"Ok, well that would be Delphi. Though, she's been rather MIA lately. The next best place would be the DocProf and if that doesn't work out, you can try talking to Mike or otherwise knows as Cassiel. The DocProf is in the infirmary and Cassiel might be a little harder to find. He's going on a mission soon. His bedroom is a little further away from mine. He stays with a girl named Daria who appears like a cat. Mike has blonde hair; 18 years old." *She explained.*
