The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*Tricity's mouth was slightly open as she took the papers from Kalt and saw her go bouncing back down the hallway. She turned back around to Jaguar who was the complete opposite of the girl's enthusiasm. Tricity watched her leave and then closed the door to be in private again with Jaguar. After placing the resident papers down on her desk, she smiled at the irony of the situation. She sat back on the bed,* "Come on, take a seat. Let's finish chatting."
*Tricity turned quickly around at the sound of Jaguar standing and making a low growl. She put a hand up indicating him to take it easy.* "It's alright, calm down..." *She turned back to Kalt.* "Well, out with it! Are you alright?!"
*Tricity stood up from her desk and quickly opened up the door to see Kalt in a huff.* "WHAT?! What's wrong?! Are you alright??" *She asked, looking over her face to see what was happening.*
*Tricity nodded as he explained his situation.* "Well, that certainly can be dangerous on others then. You have no control over when your were-jaguar mutation comes out in you? Does it randomly take over at times? *She stood up and grabbed her notebook and pen off her desk, then wheeling her desk chair over to sit across from Jaguar to take notes.*
*Tricity picked her head up as Jaguar peaked his head through the door while Mike was leaving.* "Oh, hi! Yes, come in..." *She sat up in the bed and offered him to sit on the other side to talk.* "So, tell me about your mutation. I just want to make sure it isn't set off by anything that would hurt others or yourself. Some mutants have mutations they can't control and we have to take extra precautions. Like, we have a resident who goes to sleep and creates shadow people that walk around the house. To solve that we give him a drug that puts him into a deep sleep where he won't dream to stop the shadows because...seeing shadow people at night walking around the mansion can scare the living hell out of anyone." *She explained, smiling.* "You see what I mean now about having a dangerous mutation?"
*She laughed and shook her head in agreement.* "So true. A rumor spread in this house quite easily...Thanks though, hun. You and Daria be safe and keep in touch. I'll see you when you get back." *Tricity went over to her bed and plopped down as he was leaving.* "I'll stay off my feet...promise."
"Well screw them, honestly. If they can't accept you....screw 'em. People fear what they don't understand as I always say. It's their first reaction to anything. You're a great guy and if they can't see that, oh well." *Tricity grabbed her lower back.* "I really need to get to bed, Mike. I'm in serious need of a nap along with a massage." *She said smiling as she wobbily stood up to give him a hug goodbye.*
*Tricity did the 'sucking of the teeth' sound for the pain they might endure.* "Oo, I didn't know she hadn't told them yet. Well it's nice you'll be there for support, I know she'll need you. At least have some fun while you guys are there."
"Man I would hate and love it at the same time. No bullshit about how people really feel, except sometimes you just wouldn't want to know the answers." *She adjusted herself in the seat and then looked over to her bed.* "You mind sending one of my pillows this way?"
"I didn't know she was having problems so severe. This stone is destroying everyone..." *She paused a moment and then looked at him with curiousity.* "How'd you know about the Danger Room??"
"Oh..." *That was about all Tricity could get out. She felt kinda bad, but Kaine had to know the truth anyway.* "Another reason why I need to get that damn stone."
*Tricity put her cup down and looked at him intently.* "You shouldn't put his suicide attempt as something trivial and...stupid. Whatever is wrong that was enough for Kaine to take his own life is serious, though it may not seem so to you. Be careful how you talk about things like that, ok?" *She explained, becoming the mother figure to the other residents as always.*
"We'd better figure out how we're going to get the stone. I just hope it will be before Whitmore at any rate. Have you heard anything about Kaine?" *She asked, taking another sip.*
*Tricity smiled and took the tea with pleasure.* "Thank you sooo much. I really need this." *She looked him over as she offered him the opposite seat on the other side of the desk.* "You look a bit tired. Everything ok?"
