The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

My mother has cancer and she's going under different treatments for some time now, so I need to help her out a lot, plus work, screw-you-real-life stuff, yaddayadda. Thus, my schedule will be a little weird and not constant.
Howeverz, I plan to check the site as often as I possibly can to keep up. You can reach me on my e-mail and PMs as always.
Cailyn Lyndall. She looked over at Johnathon without a word and he nodded, quickly leaving the room to head to the security booth and do a little research on the mutant. Hopefully they would be able to find something on this girl.
She looked over at the mutant who was still curled unto herself, but a little more responsive and seemingly trusting of her... for now. Tricity sat very still near Cailyn and put her head in her hand casually, resting her arm on her knee as she sat 'indian style'. "Would you like to take a walk around the mansion? We could go outside if you'd like?" She gave a reassuring smile. "What would you like to do until my friend finds out a little more about how to help you?"
(ooc: so um... i posted quite a few days ago, but apparently the site didn't take it. LOL awesome. i'll be back tonight to write something. geez so lame...)
"Which they always will be," Tricity immediately answered with a confirming nod. "You're mutation is a huge help to our offense. A little sad that we even need such a thing as an offense." She sighed and smiled at the other woman as she picked up Sevion, delving back into her past relationship.
"I know what it's like to be separated from someone you care for," she began, her eyes focused on her son who's father could be anywhere on earth. Would he ever come back again? Did Tricity even want him to? "If you ever need to talk," she continued, putting a strand of her wavy hair behind her ear, "I'm always available. Anytime you need me, okay?"
The shakiness in the girl's voice when she mentioned her father gave Tricity the creeps. Ok, so she definitely wasn't sending this mutant back to wherever she'd come from. But FINALLY, a name. There was some progress. Tricity gave a reassuring smile. "Ok, Cailyn, which is a very pretty name by the way. I promise... I won't send you back to wherever you don't want to go."
Tricity wasn't sure how much she should push for information, for fear the girl might react in a negative way, and they would be back to square one where she would completely shut down. She decided to keep it simple. "Well Cailyn, what about your last name? It might be a little easier to find where you came from if you help me with a last name too." Tricity bit her lip in anticipation of the girl's response. Maybe someone reported her missing or maybe the people she left didn't want her back.
"Well it's certainly not like we don't need the help around the mansion when we're not out fighting," Tricity said matter-of-factly, watching as Sevion bounced up and down in his crib in an effort to show her he wanted out. She walked over and pulled her son out and held him in her arms where he immediately started reaching for Raven. "Looks like Sevion doesn't want you leaving either. He's a big flirt..." she said with a smirk.
She sat back on the couch next to Ali and let Sevion down, where he bounded over to the other woman. "You know you don't need to do anything. You're not obligated... but, did you have anything in mind that you would like to do? I'm open to any suggestions," Tricity explained with a smile.
Tricity placed Sevion in the crib and motioned for Ali to sit in the black leather sofa with her. She gave the other woman a smile before swallowing hard and looking her in the eyes. "Trust me, I know what it's like not to know where you belong. I'm sure this isn't the only time either. In fact, everyone in this mansion has felt that way if they still don't now."
She put her hand on the other's woman's shoulder in comfort. "Believe me, you're very important to the team and I. We need you're support on the field and off. And it doesn't hurt having someone around my age here either," Tricity said with a wink.
"I know what it's like to also have a boyfriend who leaves suddenly," Tricity said in a low voice, looking over at Sevion. "But there are other things greater than he and I and even my son. And that, is this mansion and everyone in it. Sometimes it takes time to figure out where you want to belong and I know for me, it's here. You know you'll always have a place here and on the team... If you need to take some personal time to figure out what you want to do, believe me, I completely understand." Tricity finished giving Ali time to think it over and answer.
Tricity sighed... This girl acted like she was 5 years old. "You don't know where you live.. Ok..." She thought for a moment, habitually putting a strand of hair behind her ear. This mutant had no idea where she lived and Tricity wasn't too sure she wanted to bring her back to a place where the people there didn't tell this girl where she was staying. Visibly the girl looked ok, but mentally? Tricity wasn't too sure.
"Do you have a purse? Or... maybe a wallet?" Tricity asked, scoping the girl out. Maybe she had had a purse downstairs under the table in the kitchen. "Do you have some form of I.D.?"
This kid was intelligent. Clearly he knew what he was doing to be SO young and have SO many following him. Anyone who first met him would probably think the kid was great... But there was something about him... It just wasn't sitting right with her.
Tricity listened to him finish and waited a moment before answering. "First, if you think the people who worked for Antonescu are all mercenaries, just looking for a check, you're wrong. I'd be careful who you send on your healing of the world missions. Secondly, I have a feeling many of my X-Men won't be so happy to fight along members of The Kabal who have in the past tried to kill us and all." She was laying on the sarcasm. All this felt wrong and she wanted to be gone from it already.
"Frankly, I don't really know a thing about you and when your situations come up where you find you need the X-Men's help, I have a feeling we might be on the opposite side of the shit coming down on you. Or, we'll be cleaning up after whatever it is you did."
"Ah, by the way," Tricity pulled out the feather from her coat matter-of-factly and held it up for Caleb. "An example of not trusting your mercenaries..." She twirled the feather around in her index and thumb. "Two guests came to my grounds with The Order's front doors, making it seem as if my team stole them. In response, members of The Order decided to wage war against my residents on the front yard not too long after. Care to explain?"
(OOC: Sorry for the late response. I've had a tarded weak *sigh*)
Tricity was taken aback by the girl's statement. "You use electricity."
'Well damn,' she thought looking over her shoulder at Johnathon and the Doc Prof. The younger of the two had a bit of a an open mouth expression while the Doc Prof seemed to be taking her in more closely now than before. 'He's not sure what to make of her either.'
"Yes, you're right. I have the power to manipulate electricity," Tricity responded. The girl was still crying and she wasn't sure how to get her to calm down. What more could be done?
As if to answer that, her next statement gave Tricity a bit of hope. "I just want to go home." Maybe if Tricity could find out where this girl was staying, more could be learned about who she was and what happened to her that would cause such a reaction to strangers that were mutants as well.
"Ok, I can take you home." Tricity looked over at Johnathon who gave a firm shake of the head, clearly not thinking it a good idea for her to be alone with the stranger. The Doc Prof still seemed to be intent on studying the girl longer. Tricity turned back again. "How bout you tell me where you live? I can drive you home then."
(OOC: Sorry it took me so long. I've had the CRAZIEST week)
Tricity's head turned at the sound of her door being opened, propping Sevion in her arms more comfortably. It only took a second to recognize the woman coming through with her long red hair. Tricity smiled and stood from her office chair where she had been updating new residents in the computer system.
"Hello, stranger. How've you been?" she asked Raven, as she crossed the room. Sevion immediately begain cooing in her visitor's direction with a side of happy clapping. "Well, looks like he's glad to see you." Tricity kissed her son's head and then turned back to Raven, seeing 'look' on the other's woman's face. "Is something wrong?"
Tricity nodded with a smile and folded her arms over her chest. "Well," she said with a sigh, "If there's anything you need, my office is at the other end of the hall. Please feel free to come and see me whenever you'd like."
She reached for the doorknob and turned back to him. "There's a map in the paperwork I left to help you better understand the place. The kitchen is downstairs and to the left if you're hungry. We have certain times for meals, but there's always something to eat in the fridge and cabinets." Tricity smiled again.
"Welcome to the mansion." She winked and closed the door behind her.
As Slate motioned to the benches, Tricity sat down in the far one and began talking before the others were seated. "I honestly don't know too much about the last owner of this place," she said quietly with a quick follow up. "However, I'm curious as to why you suddenly picked up in his place and why the mutants who had followed such a leader before, would follow you so easily now."
Tricity wasn't here to be played. She wanted her questions answered and answered now. Her eyes tried to get passed his outter appearance and down to his real character. "I will say, you both do share a certain calm." And it felt like arrogance. How dare he sit there like that with all his calm when all she really wanted to do was slam the kid up against a wall and send a few currents down his oh-so-calm spine. Tricity knew it was members of the The Kabal who had started the fight between The X-Men and The Order. However, she wasn't going to bring that up just yet.
Tricity sat down across from the girl and hesitantly reached out and touched her arm with comfort. "Ok. Well... What would you like to do?" She didn't really know what else she could do, but at least the stranger wasn't freaking out any longer.
"We can sit here and still talk if you'd like," Tricity suggested, removing her arm, but offering a smile as she spoke. "I can tell you about my mutation... Or... You can ask me questions?" She was trying to do whatever to keep the conversation going and not have another freak out.
