The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The girl holding the dart tried to throw it, but missed the board by at least a foot. Deirdra raised an eyebrow at the worst dart throw she had ever seen. The blond stood as she watched the girl struggle with moving her fingers. The questioned she asked sounded very odd. Does anyone else feel heavy? Odd. “What exactly do you mean?” She approached the two women slightly, but was still far enough away that she didn’t realize what Lenna was.
“Why would you feel heavier?” It seemed that her bones were heavier than before, judging on the actions of the girl. “Do your bones usually feel light?” The woman looked at the two for a moment before laughing a small bit. “Excuse my rudeness. I’m Deirdra Sykes. I’m new to the Sanctuary.” Glancing at Lenna, she smiled slightly. “You really upset those guys out there. You’ve got good aim.”

So Aura, I think that we could have a thread in the Dining Room. Would that be cool with you? I'm thinking Deirdra could be going in for a snack or something.

Since arriving at the Sanctuary, Deirdra hadn’t had much of an opportunity to look around. She had gotten her things settled and her room put together for the most part. It was her first priority and she wanted to have it done. It would mean less to do later when all she wanted to do was sleep. When she had finally finished, the woman had begun her exploration. The blond had come across a room with many people in it and noticed that there was some equipment to keep the residents occupied. She glanced in and almost got flattened by a group of mutants who were storming out. They seemed to be complaining about losing darts or something of the like.
As the last one in the group walked out, Deirdra glared at them before turning her attention back to her discovery. The scorpion woman strutted into the room with her usually confidence. She had changed out of the police woman’s pants from her fiasco with Roland and now wore a pair of tight-fitting jeans. Her blond hair was pulled back in a ponytail and she wore a lower cut red shirt with matching high heels. This pair was one of her shorter and the heels were only about 2 inches tall. Deirdra Sykes disliked going anywhere unless she was looking her best.
The woman noticed a couple ladies playing darts and she smirked. Were those guys whining because they got beat by girls? A small chuckled escaped her as she shook her head. Men are so insecure sometimes. Deirdra perched on the edge of a chair and watched how the all the mutants interacted. She was curious as to how the dynamics worked and if there were any people who obviously demanded respect. She had seen it with Roland, but wondered if there was anyone else.

I can start it like Deirdra just walked into the Recreational area and Lenna could already be in there. I don't know, unless one of you really want to start it.

Well, if you want to have that thread with me, Ahorta, that'd be fine. If you don't think that having them in the same place at the same time would work, I could have a seperate thread with Lenna.
