The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hey everyone. I was wondering if any/some Order member(s) or Sanctuary resident(s) would want to do a thread with me. Deirdra is a new Order member and is now living at the Sanctuary, so it'd be nice to have her meet people.
Please PM me or reply on here if you're interested in threading. I can brainstorm with people if they're onboard and we can come up with something to have happen or do. I'm not too concerned on how many people are in the thread.

While I cannot offer to join you given that Meld still lives at the Mansion (unless her getting kicked out occurs faster than expected) I will offer my congratulations on becoming an official Orderling. May you do much good for the mutant cause while you're there.
Would you care to meet the residential schizo? My other character, Ahorta lives at the Sanctuary but she's not a member of the Order yet. She's crazy though, so if you're feeling up to it, we can RP.
Not quite sure about the bones thing, since her bones are acid, I think you're getting at her phobias, correct? I think it would be a great opportunity for me to build up Ahorta. Currently, she's really too afraid to talk to anyone, which makes it hard to RP her sometimes. I think that while in human form, Deirdra would be just fine, but when she transforms half of her body, it would severely confuse Ahorta. While she is frightened of scorpions, I think a half-scorpion, half-human would peak her interest. It would make her try to figure things out. I think she'd be less inclined to kill Deirdra since she has never seen a half-breed before. Of course, there would be some fear, possibly a fight if there was a scorpion transition, but overall, I would enjoy to see how Ahorta acts in a situation like this. I'm willing to RP it out. Plus, I've been trying to RP down her fears a little bit (of course, not all since that makes her Ahorta), but maybe she could move a bit more freely instead of being paralyzed by fear. I'd say a hands-on experiment would be better than the solo thread I have going on in New York.
That is, if you're up to it, Deirdra. Or did you mean an actual potential problem with the two's mutations?
Lenna's aura weakens mutations. Around Ahorta, it might weaken her acid-bones. That's what I was worried about. It'd likely make Ahorta very confused, very angry, and cause her pain. I'm not sure how you'd want to play it affecting Ahorta.

Well, if you want to have that thread with me, Ahorta, that'd be fine. If you don't think that having them in the same place at the same time would work, I could have a seperate thread with Lenna.
Oh yes yes yes. I gotcha. Ok. *swats self on head* Now is where I feel a little slow. Lenna's powers. Sorry, that's what I get for speed reading the wrong two posts, haha. Hmmmm, would you think that Lenna's power would rather make Ahorta's bones be more, well, boney instead of liquid? I mean, if that's the case, I could see us working it out. What do you think?

I can start it like Deirdra just walked into the Recreational area and Lenna could already be in there. I don't know, unless one of you really want to start it.
