The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Somebody's feisty today! I dig it." While her voice was teasing, her green eyes looked over at her sister with one of those 'let me know if you need anything' sort of looks. Despite all the teasing, and calling her Ronnie even though she hated it, Addy thought the world of Veronica. She always had, and as far as she was concerned, she always would. People came and went, but...it had always been the two of them.
"Oh I totally understand. Kinda like my art. Nobody's getting hurt, so what's it matter? And in your case...people can always get more ****. Not important." the blonde kept her voice low at the last half of that sentence, her way of letting her sister know that she had her back.
Addy grinned, running a hand through her blue streaked hair. "I'm just that good," she said with a wink. "Well, that's why you should be like me and only chase girls," Addy said with a shrug. "Boys are nothin' but trouble." Honestly, she didn't know how she felt about that. Maybe she'd change her mind if she met the right boy but as it stood, all the boys she'd met were stupid.
Addy was sure her eye rolling was audible when Veronica paid for the food before she could even make a move for her purse. Damn it.
"We'll see who's real when all that soda fucks up your kidneys," Addy retorted, still joking but her voice a little more deadpan than it had been.
The service was surprisingly fast, and Addy made the move to grab the food before Veronica could get to it. If Ronnie insisted on paying, then Addy was going to carry it for them. She set the tray on the table and slid into the booth, next to the window, but also right under a television. It wasn't much, but it was nice to have a power source besides their phones to drain from.

Addy was in her element, and this particular guitar was perfect. It looked amazing, it felt great, and it sounded just the way she liked. She closed her eyes, letting her fingers work their magic over the fretboard expertly.
The bell on the door dinged, and her green eyes opened just to see who was coming in. What of course she wasn't paranoid. Even still she didn't miss a beat, staying right on rhythm as she played. She changed songs, but still couldn't get out of the habit of singing harmony.
As she swapped to a more haunting introduction, the girl sat next to her with an acoustic guitar, and Addy didn't do a very good job at hiding the little huff that came out of her nose. Whatever floats your boat, she reckoned. But she was impressed that the girl was following along with her quite well. And to be fair....it sounded really good.
She shot her new partner a smile as she kept playing, letting her normally background vocals pair with the two guitars.
"You make me sick But I love what we're doing here You make me sick And I can't be the only one..."
She was used to playing guitar along with her sister, but that wasn't as common since Veronica preferred lead vocals, but in this case Addy had trouble sharing the spotlight. It wasn't for lack of trying, but she was a shredder at heart, and the acoustic was no match in that regard. When she ended the song, she looked over at the girl.
"You're pretty good," she admitted, idly strumming out a gentle melody on the not so gentle guitar. "Ever think about playing something with a little more balls under it?" she asked. She was actually being nice, but music was one of Addy's soft spots. Besides, though she looked to be a fair bit older than her, Addy had to admit she was pretty, and that also counted for something. A little.

She recoiled at the touch at first, but as soon as the woman was under her arm, she involuntarily accepted the support. "Trust me...I want to, but I couldn't if I tried..." she grumbled. "Can't make my own electricity. Does more than let me shock people...gives me energy...phone died a long time ago," she said, her pride even more crushed now that the one who kicked her ass was helping her.
"Right here's fine..." she mumbled after about a block, right in front of an electronics store. The windows were barred, but there were TVs in the window, and they were always on. She tried to push herself free, and just sat on the ground in front of the window, taking a breath as she felt the buzz of the devices behind her. It was going to take a minute, but she'd feel better in a while.
Looking up at the woman, she forced a smile and gave a nod, the closest thing the woman was going to get to getting a "thanks" out of Addy.

"Unsolicited criticism is never a way to get on an artist's good side," she hissed, leaning against the wall. How long had the alley been spinning for?
"It's art. Just what I do...Not that anyone really gives a shit." Addy closed her eyes as she took deep breaths. Once she got out walking near some of the storefronts and parked cars, she'd be fine.
"They, for one, would have a little more tact than you," she said coldly, her green eyes opening to glare daggers at the woman. "I've dealt with the system before. At least as a teen. They call my parents, parents don't do anything, possibly change schools, rinse and repeat." She smacked her lips, trying to get the taste of paint and dried blood out of it, but without much success.
She huffed, turning to walk away, but stumbled, barely managing to catch herself by putting her hand out on the wall next to her. Ugh.
"I need to find something electrical...appliance store, laundromat, arcade...anything..." she stammered, slowly starting to make her way out of the alley. It...it was going to be a long night.

"****. You. You stupid. Piece of ****..." she spat, literally spitting blood on the ground. "I didn't pick the fight. You did....I was minding my own ****ing business..." She rolled onto her side, attempting to stop her nose from bleeding.
Her body was still trembling, the spray-paint was sticky and uncomfortable, and her face hurt. And that wasn't even taking her ego into account.
Inside the bag, Tses would find nothing but roughly a dozen now destroyed spray-paint. The bag itself was adorned with studs and various pins, all now covered in paint.
Addy bit her lip, now that the adrenaline was wearing off, she could feel a pain in her shoulder, her thigh, and in her side where thankfully small shards of can had scraped her. Luckily nothing had stuck in, so she was better than she could have been, definitely. Her head was spinning and she felt a lump in her throat.
Finally, she pushed herself groggily to her feet, her hair matted and stained with multi-colors, much like the rest of her. That was going to be a bitch to get out.
She spat on the ground again, followed by another string of cuss words.

"****. You."
Her voice was shaky, as was her breath, and her body was starting to quiver a bit from all of the expended energy. "I...didn't...ask...for your input. About any damn thing. So **** off..." The jab to the shoulder knocked her a little off balance, but she kept her footing and took another, not-charged swing, but it missed, and it was obvious she was tiring out because the punch had a lot less behind it this time.
Then the woman walked through her, and a fist connected with her nose, but Addy reacted quickly and grabbed onto the woman's clenched fist with both hands and released what electricity she had left, giving her what would feel like a static shock on steroids; it lasted a split second and would maybe leave some tingling or discomfort for a bit, but nothing serious.
Then, she let go, dropping to her hands and knees as crimson joined the array of colors that splattered across her face and now-ruined clothes. She was trembling, and she was tired.
So tired. She needed to find a phone, or an electronics shop, or even a lit streetlight. Anything. Her face paled as her muscles tensed and she closed her eyes, bracing herself for another hit. Just ****ing do it already...

Addy jumped aside awkwardly to dodge the rolling ball of light, which exploded and wrecked her backpack even more than it already had been. She once again reached out to try and shock the woman, but once again she was too slow.
She could tell her phone had died, and with no other electronic devices in the immediate area, Addy didn't have any sort of advantage in this fight. She threw a punch, but the next thing she knew she was falling backwards, her ass, back, then head colliding with the unforgiving pavement below. She groaned, then mustered up a bit of energy to leap to her feet.
She was getting winded fast, and not just because of the fight. She was exerting a lot of energy, and she wasn't getting anything back, plus the smell of paint fumes couldn't have been helping any.
Addy bit her lip, looking for the right moment as her hand sparked with blue electricity. She didn't have much more, but she was gonna give what she got. She threw a punch, her knuckles sparking and hoping to connect with some part, any part of this woman, hopefully her stupid head but she'd settle at this point.

The light phased into a person, and Addy saw her chance as she stepped forward and reached out to zap this woman who dared talk shit to her. But her hand never made contact as she phased back out. "Dam--"
It was at that point there was a loud explosion, like firecrackers going off in the alley, as different colors of paint covered the area-and one of Addy's favorite outfits. Luckily the bag contained most of the cans; a piece of one or two probably hit her, but she was so angry and full of adrenaline that she didn't notice any pain right now.
"Any bitch can seem tough when they're hiding. Why don't you drop the light and stop being such a little coward?" she spat, literally spitting in the light's direction. Some of that got into her mouth. Gross.
The entire alley looked like a unicorn just exploded, but Addy didn't even notice that her lightning bolt on the wall--which was one of her greatest works--was ruined. Her small stature was tense, fists balled up and arcing with electricity.

Addy snapped out of her trance when she heard a voice behind her. She hadn't picked up on any electronics that she would have been draining, and as a result of her surprise, the teen dropped the can before turning to see...light? To be honest, that didn't phase her much; she knew there were much weirder mutants than the electric girl and her supersonic sister.
"Excuse me?" she said, her eyes narrowing as she held up her right hand, letting it give of gentle, light blue sparks. "I've been doing this for a long time, Glowstick," she snapped, keeping her green eyes focused in a glare as she knelt and felt for the can before putting it back into her back.
"Let me guess. I've been a very bad girl and you're the ghost of vandals past, come to save me from my ways," she said dryly. Really, she had a million of those, and she could do this all night, at least as long as this light-thing couldn't kill her or anything. And if so, hey. They'd have to bury Addy with that smug smirk on her face, and there wasn't any better way to go, right? For effect, she let her hand spark again, just threateningly. She wasn't super charged, and didn't want to waste energy if she didn't need it.

"C'mon, sis. That's my pet name for you~" She teased. "And our little secret," she added, her voice a lot more sincere this time. "You? A bad influence? Nah...not Veronica Monroe. She's a ****ing saint," she kept teasing, being careful not to call her 'Ronnie' again because she knew she was serious about the punching thing.
"That, we can agree on," Addy replied, letting her finger spark and dragging it across the side of a brick building as they walked. "So what'd you get caught doing this time? Put another tack in Mrs. Hollensworth's chair? Ohwait that was me." She smirked.
"I know the perfect place, and it's not very far." As they walked, Addy began humming along with her sister, harmonizing like she always had while the fingers on her left hand began to move as if they were dancing over a fretboard. Soon, Addy led her younger twin to a small, hole in the wall kind of restaurant, "I come here on my solo runs, but I'm glad 'her highness' decided to join me today," she quipped. The wait wasn't bad, and soon they were in front of the line.
"Shouldn't you two be in school?" The young man behind the counter asked. "Shouldn't you have gone to college?" Addy quipped, her voice colder than it had been when teasing her sister. "I'll have the Twisted Sister," she said, pointing out their signature bacon cheeseburger topped with jalapenos and chipotle mayonnaise. "Pink Lemonade to drink, extra onion rings, and whatever she'd like."

The sun was setting, painting the city skyline with shades of pinks and orange.
Addy made her way down the street, her blonde hair streaked with blue and peeking out from under the hood of her leather jacket, which was zipped up tight to protect against the bitter wind. She had on a short black skirt, coupled with purple leggings under black fishnets. It was...unconventional, but she liked the aesthetic, and it was warm. Her pink-shoelaced black high-top sneakers topped off the whole ensemble, and a black backpack was slung over her shoulder. This wasn't her school backpack; this was for her...extracurricular activities.
Turning into an alley, she checked her phone. She'd unplugged it before she left the house, so it would last a little while, anyway. With her abilities, there was no fixing that. Portable batteries drained just as quickly, and would be low before she even needed it.
This area was perfect. It wasn't near any electronic devices, and while that was bad news for her phone, it meant she could tell if someone was coming. Everyone at least had a phone these days. She found a nice piece of wall and set down the backpack, unzipping it to reveal that it was filled with cans of spray paint. She shook up a blue can and got to work.
In a few different shades of blue, she'd painted a lightning bolt, and then started to add little details around it, her green eyes focused intently on her work, so much so that she became so engrossed in her art that she might not immediately notice if anyone was approaching.
As she went to adding some yellow gradients, she found herself singing softly to herself.
"Baby drop them bones Baby sell that soul Baby fare thee well Somebody gotta, gotta raise a little hell Somebody gotta, gotta raise a little hell Somebody gotta, gotta raise a little hell..."

For the love of God where was she? That girl is gonna be late for her own ****ing funeral...
Her body stiffened as she zipped her jacket against the cold, fidgeting as she grew more and more impatient. Addy'd thought about just leaving without her, but she merely entertained that thought. She could never actually do that to her sister. Anyone else, she wouldn't have thought twice, but...Veronica was lucky.
Green eyes just happened to shift towards one end of the school just in time to see a familiar figure crossing the courtyard, breath visibly hanging in the air for a bit with every huff.
When she got close enough, Addy threw her arms up in a shrug. "What happened, Ronnie? Get lost? Or did you find yourself a good time without me?" she said, her voice sharp, but the gleam in her eyes would tell her that Addy was joking.
"Come on, let's get the hell outta here. I'm starving and as far as I'm concerned this ****ing school day is over." She looked back to make sure her sister was behind her. "So, where to? Somewhere close by or take the bus?"

Addy let out a sigh, leaning against the wall outside of the school. It was away from the entrance, and from any windows where she was bound to be seen. She was dressed in her black leather jacket, unzipped to reveal a dark purple tee shirt. Her acid washed jeans were adorned with rips, revealing lace underneath, and her black high tops were laced with pink laces and adorned with pins and studs. Her blonde hair was accompanied with light purple highlights, just enough to tell it was a different color. She loved dying her hair, but she preferred the more subtle approach in that case.
Ugh. Where the hell was she?
She knew she told Ronnie to meet her by the side of the school after fourth period and right before lunch. The school's 'meat' loaf always sucked and they were planning on going to get some real food before going out to have a little fun. But that was hard to do when only half of the duo showed up.
She looked at her phone, checking for texts, and looking at the time. Addy had learned to just ignore her battery percentage because her power always drained batteries faster than usual. On the one hand, the influx of energy meant she didn't have to sleep as long as 'normal' people, but this also meant that she couldn't keep a charged phone to save her life.
She scrolled down her messages, opening up a conversation labeled 'Ronnie.'
~You know I said *before* lunch, right? Lunch *today*, not this time next year. ~
Send.
She pointed her right index finger in the air, letting it emit a spark and then quickly trying to write her name in the air. The spark was instantaneous so she never really got past the 'A,' but it was a fun way to pass the time and it looked really cool in the dark. Besides, if she had a weaker charge, it wouldn't make her feel as bad for thinking about zapping her sister when she showed up.

It was a school day, but Addy's parents would be getting a phone call or a note or whatever that school did when a student was present for third period but was absent for fourth without being signed out. She'd stuffed her bookbag in her locker, and everything she needed was in a black leather purse she kept on her shoulder. She pulled up the zipper of her leather jacket, covering her black band shirt, her outfit topped off by a pair of black jeans and a pair of black high-tops with pink laces.
As she walked down the sidewalk, nearing her destination, she passed a streetlight, and she reached out her hand to touch it, a blue spark flashing from her hand, causing the light to turn on for a brief moment then go back out. Couldn't afford to have any accidents where she was going.
The little bell above the door chimed as she walked into the music store, her green eyes scanning the room full of guitars, basses, and amps. This, was her heaven.
She found a black guitar hanging on the wall, and was drawn to it, so she grabbed it and brought it to the center of the room and found an amp to plug it into. After strapping the axe on and getting used to the feel of it, she cranked up the amp and detached the guitar pick she wore on a chain around her neck. Then, she played through a few scales before swapping to riffs, letting the fingers of her left hand dance expertly over the fretboard as she let out the frustrations of the week and let them fill the store in a gritty medley of songs and some of her own work thrown in there for fun. One good thing about skipping school to be here was that there wasn't much of a crowd before lunch time because everyone was at work or school.
One could say a downside of this was that she looked[/] like she belonged in school. But as it stood, she didn't care as she kept playing, swapping songs once again, this time her voice laced with teen angst mixed in with the guitar.
"Schooool's out. For. Ever. Schoooooool's out. For Summer..." She got lost in what she was doing, Every now and then one would see a flicker of blue arc around the back of her hand. Harmless, but a sign that the amp and guitar weren't the only things getting power from the cord in the wall.
Character's full name: Adelynn Rosepetal Monroe Alias/ Nickname/ Code name: Addy, Sparky Gender: Female Age: 16 Date of Birth: 12/31/2003 Birthplace/ Home/ Place of origin: New York, Nationality: American Ethnicity/ Cultural Heritage: Scandinavian
Appearance
Hair color and style: long Blonde and wavy, occasionally with highlights depends on her mood Skin Tone: Pale Eye Color: Grey Height: 5’4 Build: Petit Visible mutation: Occasionally has faint blue sparks emitting from her hands or crawling up her arms. Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: None Other features: N/A Everyday clothing style: Goth; lots of black, leather and lace Uniform: None Sleepwear: Nightgown, pajamas, or underwear, all black. Miscellaneous clothing: N/A
Character
Personality: Addy comes across as closed off and uninterested, and often has a very sarcastic and cynical view on life despite being so young. She doesn’t often open up to anyone that isn’t her twin sister, though with some work one could theoretically get close to her.
Addy has a deep disdain for authority and being told what to do, and as such will often act out and break the rules, though this usually extends to playing ‘rebellious’ music and art, the latter of which can range from her sketchbook, to desks, to occasional graffiti. She’s more open to people closer to her age than adults, but she doesn’t have much faith in people as a whole.
When she is close to someone, she shows her affection by teasing them, but she is also very protective of them, and looks out for them in her own special way(meaning it’s usually masked by teasing and pretending not to care.) Deep down, she’s a very emotional young woman, who just longs for attention, and is at a point where she doesn’t care whether said attention is positive or negative.
Hobbies/ Interests: Music, Art Job or part time job and description: She’s in a band with her sister and two other people Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Losing those she actually cares about, the dark, being alone, wonders if anyone actually likes her Special talents: Good at drawing and can play a mean electric guitar, dabbles in bass but lead guitarists get more attention
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Neutral: While she has a disdain for rules and authority, she doesn’t actually like when people get hurt. She’s straddling a line between good and evil.
Mutations
Mutation description: Electricity Absorption: Addy drains electricity from objects within five feet of her, which gives her energy and fuels her mutation. Batteries drain faster when in her vicinity, and objects that are plugged in are unaffected beyond a possible slightly-higher power bill.
Electric Field: Depending on how ‘charged’ she is, Addy has a small static field around her that emits faint blue sparks, that covers only her immediate area. Contact with this field causes Electronics to only slightly malfunction(Such as screens getting a little blurry/staticy), or making the little hairs on a nearby person’s arm stand up.
Electric Discharge: Addy emits blue sparks from her fingertips that can overcharge electronic devices, effectively frying them, and cause a very painful and uncomfortable(albeit not deadly) static shock. When she takes in too much electricity, she emits a five foot electric field that causes static shock and fries nearby electronics.
Strengths: In an age of electronics, her power is usually charged. She is a walking stun gun. Her electrical discharge can disable any nearby electronics such as cameras or closed circuit TVs. Since absorbing electricity gives her energy, she normally needs roughly a couple of hours of sleep every night. She can "feel" herself absorbing energy, so she could tell if someone has an electronic device that is turned on, but not what kind of device it is.
Weaknesses and Limitations: She can’t turn off her absorption or the electric field or control how much she absorbs; it's a steady rate of absorption. Her usual discharge only has a range of touch, and she can’t control the discharge when she absorbs too much electricity. Not having enough electricity in her system makes her lethargic and drowzy. Absorbing electricity drains batteries faster than normal, and likely runs up the power bill wherever she spends a lot of time.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: Addy is fairly flexible and agile, with good reflexes to boot, but she’s not very strong or athletic. Most of her physical abilities translate into playing guitar well. Fighting Style: No formal training, but when she has to fight, she fights dirty, using both her powers and anything she can find to aid her. Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Pros: Unpredictable Cons: She’s a teenage girl with no formal training, easily overpowered.
History Of Your Character Addy is the older of fraternal twin girls, born to a young and free-spirited couple named Nicholas and Clarity. She grew up in a household with very little rules and discipline, where she and her sister Veronica could just about get away with anything, but at the same time, they didn’t seem to pay the two girls much attention as they got older.
As a result, they started acting out for attention. Addy started wearing dark clothes, and later added heavy makeup and highlighting her hair. Then, they started seeing what rules they could bend: skipping class, drawing on desks, roaming the halls during lunch. Pretty soon, when she and her sister weren’t hanging out and writing rebellious punk music together, Addy was out putting rather artistic graffiti on walls.
They bounced around from school to school, due to one or the other--or both of them--doing something to get them into deep trouble, usually Veronica stealing or Addy getting caught ‘gracing school property with her artwork.’
Not long after turning fourteen, weird things started to happen. Battery-powered electronics didn’t seem to last as long around her, and she could have sworn she was occasionally seeing blue sparks. Then, one day she decided to annoy her sister by dragging her socks across the carpet and touching the back of Veronica’s neck. There was a blue spark, an audible pop, and her sister’s hair stood on end. Roughly a week later, while practicing in their room, Addy’s body began to arc with electricity, creating an aura that fried both girls’ amps, their phones, and Addy’s TV.
Her parents didn’t really help, merely telling her that they love her no matter what before they left to go to some social event. For a time it felt like Veronica was distancing herself from Addy, and not acting like she used to, but when they were almost fifteen, Veronica nearly deafened Addy when her own powers surfaced, and oddly, after that, things began to work their way back to normal.
Now, Addy’s just a teenage girl writing angsty music and hoping to find her place in the world.

Addy let out a long sigh, laying her head on the desk to keep from watching the clock. She was sure the damn thing was broken; she had to have been in detention for longer than two minutes. There was no way in hell that it hadn’t been longer, and she wasn’t close enough to be draining the battery, and even then it would take longer than two minutes.
“Miss Monroe. Head up.”
“Fiiiine…whatever,” she grumbled.
“Well, Miss Monroe, that lovely attitude of yours just got you ten more minutes.”
She lowered her head just so she could roll her eyes freely, and pulled out a notebook to do some homework. At least, that’s what it looked like she was doing. She flipped to a page that was already written on, and took out her pen. Instead of writing in the notebook, she was doodling on the desk. Before long, she had the head of a dragon sketched out in pen, adding little streams of smoke coming from its nose. The clock ticked on, and Addy kept drawing as other students in the room began to leave, having served their time.
Soon, Addy was the only one in the room, and the dragon now took up half the desk.
“Okay, Miss Monroe. You can leave.”
“It’s about time…” she grumbled, gathering her things and making her way from her spot at the back of the room to the front, stopping at the desk where the teacher’s phone was sitting.
“See you same time tomorrow, Mr. Wesson~” she said in a sarcastic sing-song voice as she touched his phone with one finger, emitting a blue spark and a loud pop.
“Hey!”
With that, Addy clutched her bookbag and ran down the hall as fast as one could in boots and tight jeans. “Gets him every time…” she muttered with a snort as she made her way out the front doors of the school.
