The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The sun was setting, painting the city skyline with shades of pinks and orange.
Addy made her way down the street, her blonde hair streaked with blue and peeking out from under the hood of her leather jacket, which was zipped up tight to protect against the bitter wind. She had on a short black skirt, coupled with purple leggings under black fishnets. It was...unconventional, but she liked the aesthetic, and it was warm. Her pink-shoelaced black high-top sneakers topped off the whole ensemble, and a black backpack was slung over her shoulder. This wasn't her school backpack; this was for her...extracurricular activities.
Turning into an alley, she checked her phone. She'd unplugged it before she left the house, so it would last a little while, anyway. With her abilities, there was no fixing that. Portable batteries drained just as quickly, and would be low before she even needed it.
This area was perfect. It wasn't near any electronic devices, and while that was bad news for her phone, it meant she could tell if someone was coming. Everyone at least had a phone these days. She found a nice piece of wall and set down the backpack, unzipping it to reveal that it was filled with cans of spray paint. She shook up a blue can and got to work.
In a few different shades of blue, she'd painted a lightning bolt, and then started to add little details around it, her green eyes focused intently on her work, so much so that she became so engrossed in her art that she might not immediately notice if anyone was approaching.
As she went to adding some yellow gradients, she found herself singing softly to herself.
"Baby drop them bones Baby sell that soul Baby fare thee well Somebody gotta, gotta raise a little hell Somebody gotta, gotta raise a little hell Somebody gotta, gotta raise a little hell..."
It was the first time in the last week Tses had the opportunity to go outside. After her surprise return to life, her body had been quite unhappy as it relearned to function. There were a few times she went to put a hand on a side table or to grab a cup and she would find her light form sending her straight through the object. It was annoying, to be frank. She felt like a deer learning to move all over again.
She was dressed in a pair of slim, well fitting jeans, with a different t-shirt than she would have worn in the past. The back had slits cut through it, showing flashes of skin, and the sleeves showed more of her shoulders than she was used to. It had been difficult to obtain outfits with Chrys around, wanting to play dress-up and making her try on an array of items she felt awkward in. But, she was coming to like it. The whole situation was a strange mix of emotions she could not process.
The one thing she was dying for was a new set of headphones, however. So she was wandering the city, waiting to cross the perfect set. She walked from one wall to another, letting her ghost form carry her in a lazy way. When she emerged through one, she was surprised to find a flash of movement move through her. Eyes narrowing, she held the light form and side-stepped, noticing a girl in front of her. Spray painting. "How original. Finally get your training-bra on to try your hand in some vandalism?" She snorted. Cute. But amateur.

Addy snapped out of her trance when she heard a voice behind her. She hadn't picked up on any electronics that she would have been draining, and as a result of her surprise, the teen dropped the can before turning to see...light? To be honest, that didn't phase her much; she knew there were much weirder mutants than the electric girl and her supersonic sister.
"Excuse me?" she said, her eyes narrowing as she held up her right hand, letting it give of gentle, light blue sparks. "I've been doing this for a long time, Glowstick," she snapped, keeping her green eyes focused in a glare as she knelt and felt for the can before putting it back into her back.
"Let me guess. I've been a very bad girl and you're the ghost of vandals past, come to save me from my ways," she said dryly. Really, she had a million of those, and she could do this all night, at least as long as this light-thing couldn't kill her or anything. And if so, hey. They'd have to bury Addy with that smug smirk on her face, and there wasn't any better way to go, right? For effect, she let her hand spark again, just threateningly. She wasn't super charged, and didn't want to waste energy if she didn't need it.
Ah, the kid had a mouth. Tses wondered how disappointed Chrys would be if she caused any property damage today. She slipped out of light mode but let one arm continued with the green trails of energy.
Ghost of vandals past? Har har. ”The point was that you suck at this kid. No one even claimed you were bad. This is your reminder to grow up some more before you try to be big and touch.” Tses let the energy condense in her hand and then quickly swept the explosive into the backpack.
She quickly phased as the light exploded. Paint cake flying all directions, missing her, but creating the desired situation. Little mutant wanted to be a street thug? Well, time for her to meet the one blonde who ran these streets.

The light phased into a person, and Addy saw her chance as she stepped forward and reached out to zap this woman who dared talk shit to her. But her hand never made contact as she phased back out. "Dam--"
It was at that point there was a loud explosion, like firecrackers going off in the alley, as different colors of paint covered the area-and one of Addy's favorite outfits. Luckily the bag contained most of the cans; a piece of one or two probably hit her, but she was so angry and full of adrenaline that she didn't notice any pain right now.
"Any bitch can seem tough when they're hiding. Why don't you drop the light and stop being such a little coward?" she spat, literally spitting in the light's direction. Some of that got into her mouth. Gross.
The entire alley looked like a unicorn just exploded, but Addy didn't even notice that her lightning bolt on the wall--which was one of her greatest works--was ruined. Her small stature was tense, fists balled up and arcing with electricity.
Tses reappeared and leaned against a nearby wall. She was amused. She wondered if this is how she looked getting angry at people in the past. There was once a time she was compared to a kitten, claws flexing as she tried to look tough. Hell, did she still look like that? She needed to work on her image. She created another little orb of energy and rolled it along the ground toward the girl.
"Any mutant learns to use their powers to their advantage. You seem to feel confident in yours. First step of being on the street is backing up your mouth with your fists." She slid sideways, phasing as the light exploded. She felt a sweep of electricity through her stomach, a faint tickle as it mingled with her own powers. As she solidified again, she took a shot at the girl's leg, aiming to sweep them out from under her.

Addy jumped aside awkwardly to dodge the rolling ball of light, which exploded and wrecked her backpack even more than it already had been. She once again reached out to try and shock the woman, but once again she was too slow.
She could tell her phone had died, and with no other electronic devices in the immediate area, Addy didn't have any sort of advantage in this fight. She threw a punch, but the next thing she knew she was falling backwards, her ass, back, then head colliding with the unforgiving pavement below. She groaned, then mustered up a bit of energy to leap to her feet.
She was getting winded fast, and not just because of the fight. She was exerting a lot of energy, and she wasn't getting anything back, plus the smell of paint fumes couldn't have been helping any.
Addy bit her lip, looking for the right moment as her hand sparked with blue electricity. She didn't have much more, but she was gonna give what she got. She threw a punch, her knuckles sparking and hoping to connect with some part, any part of this woman, hopefully her stupid head but she'd settle at this point.
Tses was still fast on her feet. She had fought stronger, tougher mutants than this kid, and was surprised how freeing this felt. Last time she fought Forte and had her bones busted in more than one place. Heck, Tses felt like she was going easy on this girl. She waited for the kid to get up, and phased through the punch again. She felt her own energy reserves dwindling more after several attacks, but she had used her own timing well to avoid continuously feeding on the light force.
"Kid, you already know I can phase your attack past, why are you wasting your powers?" Tses ducked behind her and took a rather rough jab at the girl's shoulder. "Shouldn't you save the sparks for the hit that'll actually matter? Don't waste it on something you can't make contact with." Tses walked through the girl, and threw a solid jab at the kids face. Not enough to break a nose, but enough she sure would feel it tomorrow if it hit.

"****. You."
Her voice was shaky, as was her breath, and her body was starting to quiver a bit from all of the expended energy. "I...didn't...ask...for your input. About any damn thing. So **** off..." The jab to the shoulder knocked her a little off balance, but she kept her footing and took another, not-charged swing, but it missed, and it was obvious she was tiring out because the punch had a lot less behind it this time.
Then the woman walked through her, and a fist connected with her nose, but Addy reacted quickly and grabbed onto the woman's clenched fist with both hands and released what electricity she had left, giving her what would feel like a static shock on steroids; it lasted a split second and would maybe leave some tingling or discomfort for a bit, but nothing serious.
Then, she let go, dropping to her hands and knees as crimson joined the array of colors that splattered across her face and now-ruined clothes. She was trembling, and she was tired.
So tired. She needed to find a phone, or an electronics shop, or even a lit streetlight. Anything. Her face paled as her muscles tensed and she closed her eyes, bracing herself for another hit. Just ****ing do it already...
Tses never thought of herself as someone to pity another human, but there were those weird moments in life where you couldn’t help but slow down and take a second look. This girl, Hell, she was so full of energy and desire to be tough. Then the way she leaned over sparked memories. Tses sighed, and even if she was still feeling some pain from the final shock (which, damn, it didn’t leave a mark but she could still feel her toes tingling), she let her body solidify.
”Well, you at least listened in the end. I’m sure if you had been full strength that would have smarted more. Still, guess I have had worse hair days.” she tried to flatten a pigtail, wincing. Yup, Chrys might have something to say about that if she didn’t get it under control. ”And I know the advice is unwanted, but coming from someone much older than you who literally took a bullet to the head this year, I would learn to pick your fights more carefully.”
Did she think the girl would even remotely listen? Not a chance. But it made her feel better saying it. She glanced at the damaged bag, and moseyed over , hooking it with her foot and digging through the damage to see if there was anything worth saving. Well, taking.

"****. You. You stupid. Piece of ****..." she spat, literally spitting blood on the ground. "I didn't pick the fight. You did....I was minding my own ****ing business..." She rolled onto her side, attempting to stop her nose from bleeding.
Her body was still trembling, the spray-paint was sticky and uncomfortable, and her face hurt. And that wasn't even taking her ego into account.
Inside the bag, Tses would find nothing but roughly a dozen now destroyed spray-paint. The bag itself was adorned with studs and various pins, all now covered in paint.
Addy bit her lip, now that the adrenaline was wearing off, she could feel a pain in her shoulder, her thigh, and in her side where thankfully small shards of can had scraped her. Luckily nothing had stuck in, so she was better than she could have been, definitely. Her head was spinning and she felt a lump in her throat.
Finally, she pushed herself groggily to her feet, her hair matted and stained with multi-colors, much like the rest of her. That was going to be a bitch to get out.
She spat on the ground again, followed by another string of cuss words.
Tses considered her argument. She mentally rewound through their encounter. Walk through the wall, comment on the art, girl gets attitude, blow up girls bag. She wasn't sure where she looked at it wrong. "All I saw was someone having attitude with me and then I got rid of the problem. And stop sniveling. Your face is fine. I didn't even break anything." Tses sighed. There was nothing exciting in the bag so she shoved it aside.
She glanced at the girl, considering the other injuries. Again, nothing deadly. Nothing a good band-aid wouldn't help with. "Why are you vandalizing anyway if you aren't looking for problems? Heck, I'm not even one of the good guys. What would you do if Mr. Justice and his team of super tight wearing freaks tried to stop you from your wayward path?" She mused.

"Unsolicited criticism is never a way to get on an artist's good side," she hissed, leaning against the wall. How long had the alley been spinning for?
"It's art. Just what I do...Not that anyone really gives a shit." Addy closed her eyes as she took deep breaths. Once she got out walking near some of the storefronts and parked cars, she'd be fine.
"They, for one, would have a little more tact than you," she said coldly, her green eyes opening to glare daggers at the woman. "I've dealt with the system before. At least as a teen. They call my parents, parents don't do anything, possibly change schools, rinse and repeat." She smacked her lips, trying to get the taste of paint and dried blood out of it, but without much success.
She huffed, turning to walk away, but stumbled, barely managing to catch herself by putting her hand out on the wall next to her. Ugh.
"I need to find something electrical...appliance store, laundromat, arcade...anything..." she stammered, slowly starting to make her way out of the alley. It...it was going to be a long night.
Tses sighed. Wow, this kid really did sound like her. She did what she wanted, parents didn't care. Heck, Tses grew up without parents, so even someone who had no interest in her may have been an improvement. Or was it? It was easy to do your own thing when you didn't even have a chance to hope otherwise.
As the girl struggled toward the edge of the alley, Tses sighed. Fine, she could afford a moment of pity. She did punch the kid in the face. Heck, it wasn't even that hard, but the kid acted like she was dying. She swooped under the kids arm, easily pulling it around her shoulder and half walked, half dragged the blonde toward the nearest electrical source.
"If you shock me again, I have my hand close enough I'll drop an explosive down your shirt and see how fast you can strip to get rid of it. So I would take the help." She was ready to phase right out of the girl's grip if needed. It helped having ghost powers, even if she was feeling a bit tired herself. How did someone small still manage to feel so heavy?

She recoiled at the touch at first, but as soon as the woman was under her arm, she involuntarily accepted the support. "Trust me...I want to, but I couldn't if I tried..." she grumbled. "Can't make my own electricity. Does more than let me shock people...gives me energy...phone died a long time ago," she said, her pride even more crushed now that the one who kicked her ass was helping her.
"Right here's fine..." she mumbled after about a block, right in front of an electronics store. The windows were barred, but there were TVs in the window, and they were always on. She tried to push herself free, and just sat on the ground in front of the window, taking a breath as she felt the buzz of the devices behind her. It was going to take a minute, but she'd feel better in a while.
Looking up at the woman, she forced a smile and gave a nod, the closest thing the woman was going to get to getting a "thanks" out of Addy.
