The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He said it. He said he'd done good. Xavier's face turned red as he was complimented by one of his Idols. He smiled widely as he was invited to hop on the porygon. Was all of his real? He pinched himself. Yup. No dreaming. Something this cool was really happening to him.
He climbed onto the construct, and just sorta... sat there, soaking in the moment. Cops were everywhere, just a little bit late. They were taking statements from anyone who would give them, but it looked like they were giving him space. That was good; he didn't want to talk to cops naked, it wasn't a good look.
Mr.S Came back, and he shifted to turn his attention to him. His face lit up when Shin mentioned Healey making him a costume. "Woah! I mean, I have lots of spares, but I'd love one from from your wife! I heard she made all of the Gen2 costumes!" He restrained himself from doing a dance under his little coat. He paused when Shin mentioned no capes.
"Huh... Why no capes?" He liked capes! He could billow them with his power, and it looked really heroic!
On the ride to the Mansion he stayed mostly silent. This was all unreal. It felt like one wrong statement or off moment would cause this perfect situation to crumble. Still, he had to know. "What's it like... being a hero?"
As an upstanding student of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning Sister School, it was important to help out where ever it was needed. Xavier, being the type to take those duties very seriously, was currently helping out in the garden.
It was Sunday, and it was sunny for the first time in a while. Moving the new flowers into the front of the hedges was actually a lot of work, so naturally, he had his shirt off. It was a little chilly, but he found himself overheating if he kept the darn thing on. It was all of the movement. He finished digging a hole, and stood tall, looking out onto the lawn as he rubbed some sweat from his brow, leaving a little mark on his forehead. Somehow, it still looked adorable, it was like a neat little smudge, if that existed.
He looked around for the gardener... Huh, where had they gone? Maybe taking a break? Oh well, he only had four more to plant, so it wasn't like he was lost. He pulled the small flower from its pot and got to working it neatly into the hole.
Did he hear someone walking up? "Hey, could you grab the hand shovel? I need to adjust this one a little bit." He stated plainly, clearly the grounds keeper was back from their break.
Xavier had played his fair share of sports in his life. To him, they were all honestly the same. No, not the rules or the physicality, but more the spirit of it all. One played sports to compete in most instances, and he liked a little competition. What he'd always liked more, though, was making friends.
If anything, he'd never really decided to fully commit to any one sport growing up simply because people took it too seriously at a certain point. They didn't want to be friends, they wanted to win. That tended to offset the fun of playing the game itself for him. That was why he liked things like free gym time! People didn't care when they were just messing around in the gym! He could meet new people, play with them a bit, and then form a bond! It was great!
So there he was, gym shorts and all, looking around for people to play with! He'd just gotten here, so a lot of people were mid game already. That didn't matter, though, all he needed to do was find one- Ah hah!
There was another young man grabbing a baseball and heading toward the one open half court. Did he look familiar? Nah, it was just his imagination. Xavier smiled widely and wandered on over.
"Just getting in? Me too! Wanna shoot some hoops?" The 6'5 blonde gave his best winning smile, placing his hands on his hips and presenting himself. He was more yolked than an egg basket; he looked sorta like... that villain in a ski flick? Like, the guy that challenges you a race at the end? Except he looked like a nice version of that guy. Yeah. That's what he looked like.
Early to bed, early to rise! That was one of his mottoes! If he went to bed before ten, he could wake up and get a good work out in before classes started. He looked forward to that work out. It was a good way to start the day. Working out just gave him so much ener...gy... and... he... liked...ZzzzZZzzzzZZzzz
Boof!
"Wh-"
"SorryIdon'thavetimetoexplaini'lloweyouone!"
FWIP! Wait... were his pants gone?!
"WHAT THE ACTUAL @#$^!"
And just like that, Juniper, the pants thief, was gone. He stared at the wall for a moment, just... shocked. "W...why?"
Yeahhhh, they were going to need to have a talk about boundaries.
Xavier blinked a few times and rubbed his face. Did... Did he have something on it? He turned a little red as he still tried to shake off the sleepiness. He lost to a long yawn as she went on about a bunny?
No, a bunny man. Who... couldn't hold his liquor? Hey, she wasn't old enough to drink! His neighbor was a delinquent?! Oh, wait, he already knew that.
His eyes widened, and his face went a little red when she mentioned it was a swingers event. What was Juni in to?! Oh wait, he pretty much knew that as well.
A moment later, he came to the conclusion that all of this wasn't actually very surprising. He was awake, now. Awake enough, at least. He had to get her safe in bed. She was... way out of it.
"I dunno where your shoes are, Juni. Why don't we get you to bed, huh?" His eyes widened as she mentioned fighting the stairs. She WON?! What did the stairs look like?
He was pulled from his thoughts as he was poked in the face. He looked to a small mirror he used to fit his super hero costume. Yup. Big pink heart. Great. Would it was out?
He smiled widely when she said he was brave. "Yup! That's me! Brave!" He placed his hands on his hips and hero posed, but then leaned in, whispering a bit. "It was honestly slightly terrifying, but I wanted to save people, so I did it anyway. Shard being there helped a lot!"
The tall young man nodded as she mentioned that she wasn't sure what she wanted to do here. "Oh, well, congrats on getting an offer! Maybe I'll be in one of your classes if you teach one!" He looked down the hallway, wondering if the Danger Room was down that way. He'd walked pretty much every other hallway, he thought.
His eyes widened as she casually dropped that she was one of the X-Men! "Whaaaat?! Woah, cool! How long have you been on the team?!" He paused as he realized he was leaning down and staring her in the face. Right, yeah, reign yourself in. He stood back again. "Ahem, yeah, danger room. Dangerous. Good point. Yes! I would love it if you supervised. Uhm... where were you headed? I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"
He paused when she asked how old he was. "17!" How old did someone have to be to become an X-Man?
The concept of someone not wanting him to save them because he was a mutant didn't even seem fathomable to the young man, who tilted his head at the strange idea. "Well, I haven't been doing it very long, but I haven't met anyone who didn't want me to save them yet, and a lot of them were human." He shrugged, and righted his head as she conceded that humans might not all be bad.
Huh... Hadn't she just met humans? What could she possibly have against them?
"Heh, yeah, I know a lot of really nice humans. There's this ice cream vendor I met the other day near my apartment that is probably the nicest guy I ever met!"
She started speaking again, and wow, that was a lot to unpack. I mean, he loved the pizza place, but she almost called him something or other, and then told him people like him weren't as bad here. What did that mean? Oh, right, There was something about a caste system where she came from...
She then stated that it was the mutants Vs. The humans here, which to many was really true, though he'd felt that it didn't need to be that way. He really stuck on the second thing she said. Pretty mutants against gross mutants... Wait, that was the caste system?! So... someone like him was considered pretty? And someone like her... Gross?
"I don't think you're gr-" The whistle blew. Oh, was it already time to pick teams?
She asked him more about helping Shin. He may or may not have been keeping his mouth shut in order to be polite and not talk about himself too much, but she asked! "Yeah! There was the giant moth monster flying around central park and shooting galeforce wind gusts! Shin covered me while I threw a dumpster at it." He crossed his beefy arms in front of his chest and smiled widely, clearly proud. Also, leaving out the fact that he ended up completely naked by the end of that encounter. She didn't need to know that.
"Nice to meet you, too, Serena!" Did the name sound familiar?
She offered to supervise him in the danger room. His eyes lit up brightly as he pumped a fist. "Awesome! Hey, wait, Supervise?" The 6'5 teenager turned to her and tilted his head. "Are you a teacher?" She didn't look THAT old. How old was she? Mid twenties, it looked like. Why did he recognize her, though? He shrugged the feeling off.
"Anyway, lead the way! I can't wait. I'm honestly not sure what to expect; there's some speculation online about the danger room, but none of that stuff sounds even possible." He shrugged. Still, what ever it was, it was where the X-Men trained. That was a pretty important place to be if you were looking to become one, right?
Xavier was crafting for a while. Then he was stretching. Then some yawning. Then some, maybe, unexpected sleeping. What? There was only so much arts and crafting he could do after a long day fighting petty crime and rescuing cats!
So, by the time he heard the loud, slurred announcement of his name it was the sound that jerked him out of a deep slumber.
"I'm up!" Up he was, a puddle of drool had lightly glued a misshapen heart to his face, so it acted as an odd accessory as he looked around confused to see a very drunk Juniper stumbling around. "Uh, uh... yeah? Lots? Are you? You're drunk."
He stared at her she she fell onto his couch. He was still half asleep, so he almost forgot to hastily pull the heart from his face. His eyes widened as she spied the mess of scraps. Uh oh. The actual card was somewhere in this pile! And this pile was here! And Juni was here! Oh gosh, the surprise would be ruined!
He hastily started trying to clean up and dig through the pile for the card. "Uhhh, yeah! Um, Yeah, how was your night! Are... You covered in pink paint? Wait, are you BLEEDING?!" His hand landed on the card as he noticed her wound, and without much thought ran up to her to inspect her wound.

He lit up a bit when she confirmed she was from Atlantis. "That's amazing!" He paused for a second, perhaps realizing he was being a little overbearing with that response. After all, it might not be so amazing for her. "Well, Welcome to New York. I'm new here, too."
He tilted his head a bit when she asked him why he wanted to be a hero, and a wide smile graced his face as she finished with saying it was silly. He knew she was biting, but it didn't bother him. "Haha! Okay, I admit, I'm probably the silliest person you'll meet today." He scratched the back of his head, looking down to her with that same unwavering smile. "But yeah, I dunno. I really just want to save people. To help, I guess, but more to save. I know it was different where you came from, so maybe it's a little hard to see it that way, but I feel like mutants and humans are both just people." He shrugged, words weren't always easy for him. Hitting a baseball practically into space? Easy. Telling someone your thoughts on difficult social issues? Hard.
"I guess that's easy for me to say, huh?" He inferred his status as a peach skinned male with blonde hair and great height. He was very aware that he had a lot going for him on the social scale. There wasn't exactly much he could do about that, in his mind, other than devoting his live to helping others.
"Heh, sorry, I probably got a little too serious, there. How are you liking New York?"
After a bit of a fuss, and a few super jumps, they managed to get her to school on time. Luckily, he remembered knee pads this time, so no scrapes!

Some time later, February 13th to be exact, It was arts and crafts time! You see, Juni had done something really nice for him recently. Xavier looked to his mantle, where a Valkyrie action figure stood with a signed Domino mask on its base. He smiled, and got back to his work. You see, his dad always had him hand make valentines cards when he was a kid. He used to make one for his mom every year, and bring some to class as well.
It had been a while since he'd made one... But it was like riding a bike. He had all of his supplies set out, and had already cut out a few hearts. You know, a big red one, a smaller purple one, and then an even smaller pink one, all to sit inside each other in order from largest to smallest. He was presently working on what to write.
This is where it got a little more difficult. "To the best neighbor ever!" Maybe, that one was solid. "To my friend next door!" Sure, sure. Hmm... didn't feel right. Why didn't it feel right?
He leaned back from his work, looking at the time. It was late. Valentines day was tomorrow, though! He had to think of something!
In the hands of God, you say? Well, he was pretty amazing, but that was going a little far. It was in his hands, though. The flier that promised training that would escalate one to the top of the Super Hero echelons.
Xavier stared at it with a mix of optimism and slight caution. For one, he'd read the Blue Torches memoir several times, and it never mentioned being taken under the wing of such a prolific hero trainer... I mean, Train-man? The Silent Hamster? Maybe not the Puck dude, he was a little too dramatic, but these guys were serious heroes!
Had one person really had a hand in all of that? Maybe. Maybe not, but it was a tuesday evening and he was done with his class work, so... Why not?! Worst case scenario he lost some time to a kook, right?
Seconds later he was dialing the number on the add. After a couple of rings he heard a click. "Uhhh, hello? I'm calling about the ad?"
As the reality of the situation came to bear, his expression went from confused, to excited, to mortified. He'd saved the day! Woooo! He was nude! Oh God! Indecent exposure! He was in trouble! Ohgodohgodohgodohwait... A swirling mass of shards swept around him, and his eyes widened once more as he looked around.
Woah... It was... sorta beautiful. Extremely dangerous, based on his knowledge of Shard's abilities, but beautiful. He smiled widely as he heard Shin's voice. "I know! That was amazing!"
He laughed in spite of himself until he heard the sounds of sirens incoming. Oh @#$%! He covered himself with his hands even though there was a wall of shards around him. Shin suddenly appeared, and in a moment that young Xavier would never forget, held out his coat... for him. His eyes went wide again as a shaky hand took up the item of clothing, and slowly he draped it over himself.
This was real. He'd just fought a monster with one of his heroes, and now he was wearing his coat. He was about to explode in excitement when Shin warned him, and he nodded silently.
"Th... Thank you, Mr-... Shin. Thank you."
Wearing the coat, he was decently covered up, though it only went down to his knees, so it looked funny. Still, if you asked him he was wearing Jason's golden fleece. Was he crying a little? Maybe a little. He was so happy!
