The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

His eyes widened a little bit as her eyes suddenly started to water. Uh oh. Had he said something wrong? What had he said? No, wait, happy tears?
She bolted, and he blinked a few times, letting her go. He stood there for a second, and then looked at the piece of paper, blinking as something caught his attention.
Seconds later he was banging on her door. "Juniiii! You have a class in FIVE MINUTES!" Heh... intro to math started early in the day, something about not wanting to do anything heavy before coffee.
"Wanna fling ourselves for a head start?!" At this rate she would be late. He, on the other hand, had an hour before anything started for him. Maybe they could beat the buzzer, though with the two of them.
It was... a smiling blonde woman. Huh. There could have been a lot scarier things around the corner, so this wasn't bad. He smiled back, rubbing the back of his head.
"Yeah, uh, well, so... Mr. S, I mean, Shard, Shard mentioned I could use the danger room, cause, you know." He adjusted a little bit, going from looking like a kid about to ask someone to buy him alcohol outside of a convenience store to a totally super confident super hero. "I helped him with a mission." Did his teeth just glean as he gave a thumbs up?
He paused for a second, and went right back to a bit nervous, poking his fingers together as he shrinked down a little bit. "You know, so I... Figured i'd check it out. Since class it out."
He blinked a few times, before realizing he was being rude, having not introduced himself. "I'm Xavier, by the way. Gonna join the X-Men soon." He held out a hand to shake, nodding respectfully.
That seemed like it might do the trick! At least Shard was into it. Xavier scrambled to open up the enclosure gate to get to the trashy prize within. With a POP! The little dinky lock on it was repelled off, causing the young man to utter a quick sorry to no one at all for the destruction of property. As the gate opened, and Shin started doing some, like, really cool stuff with his shards, Xavier plugged his nose and scrambled behind the dumpster, using his height to his advantage to close one eye and get a good idea of where to touch this thing to get it to go where he wanted.
His eyes widened as Shin gave the go ahead, and made a column of shards, shining and guiding his impending attack. Man, that was so @#$%ing cool!
His teeth clenched and his lips opened to form a giant grin as he dove down, placing a hand on the side of the dumpster, and one hand on the bottom. He would have to give this one a huge boost... everything he had, yes!
He took a quick, deep breath, and dug deep... No, deeper... He began to shake with effort... MORE!
WHOOMPH!
The enclosure burst open suddenly, sending the walls flying in every which direction as the dumpster rocketed into the sky at a blinding speed, right through the guided tunnel and toward the moth monster.
A somewhat shocked Xavier stood in a small crater, now dressed only in his birthday suit... Had it worked? Was there a draft?
He was PSYCHED! He was barely able to contain himself as she handed the mask over gingerly, and he carefully accepted it, looking at it closely, inspecting the signature. It was real. This... was cool! He looked up from his admiring to eye her again.
"Where did you... how did you? And you got it signed?! Jees, Juni, this must have cost a fortune! I know guys who would pay thousands of dollars for something like this! And it's mine! Wow!" He knew just where it was going to go. You see, he had a custom made action figure of Valkyrie he'd chickened out on getting signed for fear of being awkward and embarrassing one of his teachers. But this? Affixed to the base? Gold. It would look so cool! The guys on the message board would FREAK.
He realized he was starting up at the ceiling. He turned his attention back to Juni, and smiled widely. "Juni, this is one of the coolest things anyone has ever gotten me!" He paused, looking at the paper in her other hand. "Oh! A certificate of authenticity? Even better!" He reached for it and plucked it out of her hands, looking down at it. At first he seemed confused, but then he did some mental acrobatics.
"Wait, this is... huh?" He looked down at her, smiling wide. "Juni... I'm proud of you."
"I support your right to run if you really want!" He said as she didn't phase, but did try to play keep away a bit. He giggled like a wee school girl as he tried to get the package from her. Before long she gave up and let him have the bag!
"Hah! You cannot get one past me, the world's greatest hero-the bags empty!" He was opening the bag and looking down into it with a confused expression, even turning it upside down and shaking it when he looked up to see her in a green domino mask... His eyes squinted for a moment as recognition started to set in... that was sorta like the one Valkyrie used as a back up when- wait.
Wait the #@$^ up. that was the mask that Valkyrie used as a back up! Like... it was signed, it was the same in every way. "Is.... is that? No way! Wow! No way! For me?!" His eyes, normally beady, were the size of dinner plates as he leaned in to get a closer look and then started freaking out.
Out of pure excitement he jumped up a few times in place like some sort of small child jumping too much while playing video games while he reached out to receive it while restraining himself from grabbing them off her face.
He blinked a few times as she told him it was full of Clyde's poop. "Psh, like you'd touch clyde's poop. You throw out his litter box whole when its full..." He was wise to her.
As a finger went out to poke the bag, she snatched it away, saying it was nothing. "Hey, wait!"
Oh god, she was frazzled. Wait, did that mean he'd caught her doing something nice?! Holy crap! She was gonna run! He bolted forward quickly, aiming to wrap his arms around her to grab the bag. "Too late now! No running!"
Friday day mornings were the best. Honestly, he felt that way about every morning. Mornings were the best. So were nights. Oh, afternoons were pretty cool too! Pretty much every time was alright with Xavier. At this moment he was brushing his teeth with vigor as he walked around his apartment, throwing on his clothes. Oh! He had to check the mail; he'd been so tired after patrol that he'd forgotten yesterday. As he got on his pants and continued brushing, his mind sort of wandered to his neighbor. You know, it had been a couple of days since he'd seen or heard from her.
So, imagine his surprise when he opened his front door and found that Juniper was right there... On her knees. Fiddling with a baggy. The giant kid slowly pulled out the toothbrush from his mouth and stared down at her."You, uh, aren't about to light that on fire, are you?" Was she getting into pranks? He hoped not, he liked these shoes.
The tall wannabe X crouched down slowly and looked at the little package she'd been leaving. A little smile came to his face. "What's this?"
The return of the shake was hesitant, but Xavier chalked it up to nervousness, especially since she shied away at first. He maintained the same smile as they shook. Her hand was moist, slightly, but solid. He gave a nod as she gave her name.
"Yep, that's me!" He stated confidently. He wasn't doing too bad at that, either. He'd already sidekicked an honest to goodness real X-Man in a fight against a giant moth. He wouldn't brag, though.
"Eupraxia... That's an interesting name. Where are you from?" He, being a history major, had heard the name before in greek mythos, but couldn't remember exactly what it was related to... what was it? Tip of the tongue.
Oh well, he did have a hunch where she was from, though. You know... Mutant with greek sounding name. It would make sense, but he wouldn't jump to conclusions. He'd heard a lot of atlanteans had made their way to NYC since its discovery, so it sort of made sense some of the youngins would end up here. He entertained himself with the picture of a family of slimes in his head.
Xavier watched in a flummoxed, and yet fascinated silence as the two interacted. It was like they had known each other for years! Juni really had this way with people. No matter how much she had a hard time with people, she still seemed to connect really easily... He smiled a bit as a realization dawned on him.
Juni was special. She would make a great...
Super hero.
Like, really great. Holy cow, she would do so good at PR! Could you imagine her talking to reporters? She'd have it down pat easy!
Mid flight of fancy Juni suddenly turned to walk off as he dug into his ice cream. Not bad at all. He looked up to see her several paces away, and waved to Mateo before skittering off to follow her. It only took a couple strides, as he was tall and she was a liliputan.
"I like that guy! Couldn't understand any of the italian, but he seemed nice!"
Another word for it? Paradise. Indeed, while he typically excelled at most things academic with the express understanding that the effort he put into it would make him a smarter, more well rounded person, Gym just came naturally to him. The thing was, gym class in a setting like this was a little more complicated, so extra waivers with the right signatures were required. It had taken him up until today to work all of that out with his dad. Finally, though he stood, a very respectable 6'5, in the middle of the Gym with his hands on his hips, smiling brightly as he was introduced to the class.
He completely missed any looks girls his age gave to tall, toned and beefy blondes as he proudly announced. "It's a pleasure to meet you all! My name is Xavier Legend, and I'm going to Join the X-Men!" That last bit he added on without prompting, and drew some chuckles. With the introduction out of the way, they had a bit of free time while the activity they were joining in today was set up.
Still beaming, he walked around introducing himself to people he hadn't met yet in his other classes, moving down the line to literally everyone until he encountered what appeared to be a young woman made of slime. "Hello! You probably heard my name already, but I'm Xavier, Nice to meet you!" He reached out a hand to shake her own. He had a smile about him that seemed to stick, like his face might not look right if he wasn't grinning or something. Still, he was undeniably physically attractive to the average person, if a bit alarming when it came to the energy he put out.
Okay, so this was a little embarrassing. You see, Mr.S had told him after the whole Giant Moth incident that he was cool to use the danger room, a sort of training room for the X-Men and more experiences students here. He'd heard rumors about it before, and had even been looking forward to eventually gaining access. To be honest, though, he didn't know exactly where it was, and furthermore, he didn't know how to operate it.
He figured it was down the locked elevator, so that part had been easy, but that was the only easy part. From there, it was sterile hallways leading every which direction.
It was cool, honestly. He'd finally laid eyes on the X-Jet for the first time. Amazing. He'd read a lot of speculation about it, but there it was, right there. Right in front of him.
Selfie, selfie, peace sign selfie. Right! Back to the objective!
The 6'5 blonde wandered the shiny basement halls like a lost child in an elementary school until he came to a large locked door. Was this it? He eyed the access panel. Oh, the door was labeled. Cerebra? It wouldn't open. Weird. He wondered what that could be. Oh well!
The wannabe X-Man turned and headed down another hallway, pausing when he heard the sound of someone walking down the next hallway. Oh, god, finally. "Hello? I'm looking for the Danger Room, can you help?" He said as he round the corner to see who was there.
Xavier tilted his head side to side as if weighing what Juniper said about essentially being an adult. He supposed there might be many types, but she just seemed so light of burden to be like the adults he knew.
So, he was coming back here. Mateo, was his name, was priceless. His Rapport with Juni was great as well. He probably saw a thousand people a day, and he knew her by name. This was closer to home for him. He introduced himself as well, and then splayed his arms out in an exclaimed agreement as the odler man reacted to the reasoning behind the black eye. "That's what I said!"
He caught the twinkle in the man's eyes as he dug for his wallet. He asked about him being her boyfriend, and the wallet hit the ground at the same time her cone did.
he coughed, and scooped it up, standing quickly. "Yeah, yeah, we are just neighbors!" Juni and him, d-dating? No way! He had way too much on his plate! So did she, right? He ordered his own cone. Vanilla that shined bright like justice, and sheepishly paid the man.
He smiled when she first mentioned that there weren't many ice cream places, but then that she knew where one was. Why did he have a feeling she'd know? She looked back at the concert over her shoulder, and he tilted his head.
"Hey, It's alright. There'll be plenty of chances to go to something like that." He turned back, swerving to avoid a fire hydrant he'd almost hit. How was she so good at this walking backward thing?
He slowed down, turning to let her lead the way.
"Well, in the grand perspective of things, we are both still sorta kids, right?" At what point was someone really an adult, anyway? After school? After they had a mortgage? He shrugged at his own thoughts.
They were at the ice cream stand before they knew it, and the jolly old man was dishing out cones and single sentence sagely advice like it was going out of style. Xavier smiled widely; he liked old guys like this. They were all over back home. Plus, it was actually pretty savvy, selling outside of the restaurants that would charge twice as much for dessert. Smart guy.
Xavier dug for his allowance. "What do you want, Juni? I can get you this time." And the next time she could get both of them with her nudie money!
She played it like she was calm, but once you got to know her it became pretty obvious when she was flustered, especially if you were used to always sort of looking for that thing.
"I'm not attached to anything like that, Juni. I'm here to have a good time with you; that's not gonna happen if you aren't having a good time, right?" He smiled reassuringly as he looked back, and then kept walking.
He raised an eyebrow when she mentioned sneaking him into a bar. "Uhh, why would I want to go to a bar?" He chuckled at the thought, and looked back again, careful to keep an eye where he was going as well. "Nah, I'm done studying for now. Aced my math test, so I can relax for a while. Y'know, I kinda feel like ice cream. You know any vendors around here?"
Eating something always calmed his dad down, and it would help reset the night, right? Also, Ice cream always sounded good.
His look went from slightly concerned to incredulous as she dismissed her feelings in favor of him getting to play more. He tilted his head, and then stepped in, using his ability now to gently bounce away anyone who made contact with him.
"Juni, you feeling comfortable is more important than me having fun. You know that right? I can have fun anytime, but you will not be able to un-make a bad experience." He stepped out of the pit, waving off the people who were pestering him to go back in.
"C'mon, wanna watch from back there, or go do something else?" He placed his arms behind his head as he walked, stretching a bit as he walked casually away from the performance.
