The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ignacio noticed the change in Aura's demeanor and frowned too. He wasn't sure what he said that was wrong.
"Oh," he gulped, "Well, I'm not a full fledged mutant. I'm not even a trainee." He stood up from the ground and walked over to Aura. Ignacio did so cautiously. The last thing he wanted was for her to think that he was going to attack her.
"Not exactly and they don't cut the watermelons, they grow them that way." He took his phone from Kalos and typed his manicured fingers over it. Once a picture was pulled up, he showed Kalos. "See?"
Ignacio watched Kalos pick up the piece of fruit. He chuckled at the way she pronounced cantaloupe. She must've been new to the Mansion, either that or she was from a different "world". That would be cool if it was the latter.
"Oh, that's okay. Not everyone enjoys everything," Iggy ate his grapes, then worked on his mango slices, "after breakfast, do you want to go outside?" He asked with a smile.
"...Adios mio. Why so young?! Is that not against the law?" He asked with raised eyebrows. Ignacio couldn't believe that Martha was subjected to such a lifestyle. "I mean, only being fourteen is...-what age of the boys you have to marry?" He asked with a tilt of his head.
Ignacio's fingers almost curled around the ball until a little dog nudged it away. "Huh?" He slowly stood up to look at Allegra. "Oh, hey, Allegra! How are you?!" He asked with a bright smile. The teenage Sun god jogged over to the volleyball to pick it up.
"Do you want to play?" Ignacio asked, "you can serve first."
"But, Juliette, how else am I supposed to deal with the fact that I killed my parents?" Ignacio asked, throwing his hands up. "I...I don't know if I should have the privilege to say goodbye." Ignacio looked down at the bowl of chocolate in his lap and sighed heavily. He didn't know whether or not he should seek professional help. He desperately needed it.
"I hope I'm able to become better. I hate what I do to myself," Ignacio moistened his lips and continued to stare down at the bowl that was in his lap. "...I start fights so I can get beat up. That's why I stole his pencil, so he could..." Ignacio choked up a bit and decided not to speak anymore. He felt like Juliette knew the last bit of that sentence.
"Sorry, you can't go to sleep!" Ignacio stood up from the chair and sat down on the edge of the hospital bed. "Come on, there has to be something in Kentucky that you can do! Like...flipping cows?" That was the term right? Ignacio didn't know. Hopefully he'll be able to keep her awake. "Tell me about being a gypsy."
The teenage Sun god listened closely to what Alice was saying about how she usually played games. It was quite interesting, actually. "Oooh, you know what you should do? Start a ViewTube channel. Therefore, you can get paid for doing what you love! It's a win-win!"
Amazonian built? Those sounded dangerous and hot both at the same time.
"Aw, stop! I'm just Ignacio! I love doing certain things like everyone else around her does. Maybe I'll bring my sketch book with me when we play Lucifer 3."
"I know it must be bad, but you need to stay awake like they said. You don't wanna slip into a coma, do you?" Ignacio asked. He scooted to the edge of his seat and studied Martha's face. The bruise that was there looked pretty nasty, but he guessed that it was probably better than what looked like.
"What do you like doing in your free time? How's Kentucky?" Ignacio asked. He needed to keep her awake as long as possible.
"Actually, fun fact, I think it is Japan that has genetically engineered watermelon that are squared for easy shipping." The teenager stated with a break smile. He watched as Kalos tried to use his phone. God, she was adorable! He wanted ten!
Pretty boys are liars? He couldn't deny that. Though, he was happy that Kalos knew that he wasn't a lair. "Aw, thank you, Kalos." Ignacio chuckled and ate another piece of fruit. "Do you still not want to try it? It's really, really good, Kalos. You'll be missing ouuut." He mused with a playful grin. He let her hold his phone -- maybe they'll take a couple of selfies after lunch.
Once Iggy was allowed into the infirmary, he went to Martha's side and sat down in the chair beside the bed. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in. "...Martha? Are you okay?" He asked in a whisper. "You scared me."
Ignacio blushed when Aura called him beautiful. He had heard it before, but when it involved his Tollan form. The teenage mutant chuckled a bit and raised his arms. He manipulated the flames on the top of his head so it looked like a color orange and red headdress.
"Sí, in fact it does! Water doesn't hurt me either, but if I don't get enough sunlight, then things go bad." Ignacio had gotten surprisingly more comfortable with his powers and wasn't afraid of hurting anyone. Though, he was still cautious and tried not to over do it with trying new things. "And I've known of my complete mutation for a couple of years now."
The seventeen year old watched Aura performing her power. It was nice to know that people did in fact have auras. He wondered what else she could do.
"No, I stay at the Mansion. Quiero ser un X-Men."He answered the last bit in Spanish. Ignacio sat down on the grass and smile up at Aura.
Ignacio's smile widened more when Aura said that she wanted to see more of his powers. He rarely got that request unless it was from the staff at the Mansion. Nonetheless, Ignacio shook his powers loose, causing his eyes go back to their normal kaleidoscope eyes. "I love seeing other mutant powers too. There such so interestin', y'know?" He asked with a smile. Iggy lightly poked her shoulder, then bopped Solkat's nose.
"Esta bien!" Iggy followed after Aura with a smile on his face. He couldn't help, but skip a bit at out excitement.
After they made it to the backyard, Iggy found an open spot on the grass and looked at Aura. "Ready?" Ignacio took off his t-shirt and tossed it to the side. He raised his hands together the Sun and soon his skin turned from the beautiful bronze that it was to pitch black. His eyes turned back orange and the multicolored flames burned off of his body. "Tada!"
As soon as Ignacio entered the Mansion, he called for help. A couple of students ran to his aid and helped get her to the infirmary. The staff that was there quickly took Martha from Ignacio's arms and found her a hospital bed. The teenager explained what happened and tried his best to remain calm. Sometimes he could be a bit dramatic so the professor asked that he leave the room while he made sure that Martha was set up to an IV.
"right, well it's Pigs Eat Moldy Dainty Apples Slowly. So first do the parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, then subtraction." He smiled widely at Chase and hoped that he understood what he was seeing.
"Ahhh, I understand what you're saying. I know a couple of people who can understand Spanish, but can't speak it and vise versa."
"Here where? What state?" Ignacio asked as he continued to work out a couple more of Chase's problems. He didn't mind doing homework if it was like that.
The skunk was cute, but Ignacio was a little frightened that Solkat would spray him so he kept a good distance away. "Well, she's adordable."
Ignacio nodded his head at her question, "Sí lo soy," he answered, "I can absorb solar energy from the Sun and become super powered. It's hard to explain, easier to show." Instead of going into his full Tollan form, Ignacio decided to just do a couple of solar flares. Just so he wouldn't be drained, he stepped into streams of light that came in threw the window of the foyer. Ignacio then put his palms together and started to form a mini Sun out of multicolored light. His eyes glowed a bright orange, too. He kept up this transitional form as he watched Aura do her power.
"Woah...that's so amazing!" He exclaimed, "This," Iggy gestuered to himself, "is more for, ah, bluffing than power. Though, when I'm in my Tollan form that's a whole nother thing. You can show me more outside and I can do the same?" Thanks to Juliette, he was more confident in his powers and wasn't as afraid as hurting someone because of it.
