The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Iggy giggled as he watched Kalos get overly excited at the fact that square melons existed.
"It is genetics! They even have cone shaped melons, Kalos." Ignacio smiled widely at the cute coral chica in front of him. She had so much to discover!
A whole new worrrrrld!
While Kalos was gawking at the melons, Ignacio decided to eat his oatmeal before it got too cold. Perhaps he should've added a teaspoon of honey to it.
>> "I am a Health teacher and a nurse, so if you have questions about your sexuality, that’s definitely something you can talk to me about. I’m technically the designated person for that sort of thing. I can also give you condoms!”
Everything was fine and sunshiney until the last sentence came. Iggy groaned and covered his face with his fingers. Why did it feel like he was having this conversation with his big sister? Soon, though his groaning turned into laughter. The teenager slowly removed one of his hands from his face and slowly extended it to Juliette. "You wouldn't happen to have chocolate flavored condoms would you, Juliette?" He teased playfully. He didn't know whether or not she had them -- he doubted, but still. After all, anything was possible especially here at the Mansion.
>> ”Basically, we’ll be training you on how to better use your power, and then you’ll be expected to go on missions and such. In a little while, you’ll be a full X-Man, assuming that you choose to finish the training, at which point you’ll be a full-fledged member of the team. While training, you’ll have a few sponsors to give you guidance, and you’ll never be expected to go on a mission alone.”
Ignacio scratched the side of his neck, rolling over the information that he was given over and over again in his head. "Sí, I understand. So, if Professor Shinbo becomes my sponsor, I train and then after I do some missions, I'll become an X-Men?" That sounded good to him. "Do I get a code name?" Iggy asked her, "if I do, I have a name in mind."
Whatever he wanted? Ignacio didn't know what to do with that. He thought about it for a few minutes before reaching down and scooping up some snow. Before it could fully melt in his hand, Iggy threw the snowball at Aiden before giggling and running off. What? Aiden said, "whatever he wanted".
The silence was killing him, honestly. Nervous Iggy was about to say never mind and walk away when Professor Shinbo responded,
>> "Yeah, I can sponsor you."
He...would? Iggy's smile brightened greatly.
>> "No problem. I could even run you through a Danger Room scenario later, if you were interested. Let you practice your powers even more. I forget if the DR session is part of becoming a trainee... but practice never hurts. I could find some time tonight."
"¡Aye, muchas gracias!, Professor Shinbo! I cannot tell you how much this means to me!" Being an X-Men Trainee would definitely distract himself from the guilt he felt for killing his parents. He felt the need to hug Professor Shinbo and did so. Ignacio happily bounced up and down before letting go. "Sorry, sorry. Tonight would be perfecto!"
After he calmed down a bit, Iggy asked, "what time?"
Aw, so Aiden didn't want to show off did he? That was okay with Iggy...no, it wasn't. He wanted to see Aiden do something cool with snow. Something else cool with snow. Was that too much to ask? Iggy didn't think so. The Colombian mutant moved his hands from his waist and folded them over his chest.
"Esta bien. Well, what else can we do in here?" Ignacio asked, looking around the winter wonderland.
"I lived in California!" Ignacio announced as he hit the ball back over the net. "And yeah, I'm from Colombia." He answered with a smile. He turned his attention to Sparky for a few seconds before looking back over at Allegra.
"Where in Cali did you stay? And yeah, the winters are gonna be rough for me, too." Ignacio had a feeling that the Sun won't be hot for as long as it was during the Summer. Actually, that's how it was back home too, but at least the weather remained warm.
Slim indeed. Iggy sometimes felt bad for the homosexual mutants since he was one of the few that had his picks of, well, everyone! Though, he knew deep down in his solar panel heart that Alice would find someone. She's pretty, techno-savvy, has blue hair-- any lesbian in their right mind would want to a piece of Alice. Plus, she has the whole "cross the pond" demeanor about her.
"On it, chica!" Ignacio had chosen the Monk class. It was the usual class he played whenever he did Lucifer 3. "I'm surprised you're not a demon hunter." Iggy asked as his Monk's Spirit was replenished. With his power full, he surrounded both Alice's Barbarian and his Monk with holy energy that increased both of their healths and added bonus points to their defense. "Do you want to take on the boss while I do the adds? I'm better as a support character. Plus, I can do the Seven Silent Strikes on them."
Iggy shrugged his shoulders and placed his hands saucily on his hips. He studied Aiden for a bit before coming up with an idea. With a happy jump and a clasp of his hands, Iggy started speaking,
"Show me what you can do! I'm interested!" He threw a playful wink at Aiden. "Can you, like, turn yourself into a blizzard or something crazy like that? That would be cool to see." Iggy smiled brightly at Aiden. "Well? Come on, come on!"
>> ”Oh, yes. Not me; I haven’t been on the team long enough to train future members. I can give you the name of one of the senior members, though. I can give you their extension, too.”
Ignacio would be lying if he said that he was a little let down when Juliette said that she couldn't train him because she was still a trainee herself. In Iggy's mind, there was no better pairing between the two of them since their powers were similar.
>> The X-Man Shard, aka Shin, as he’s known to most people. Just give him a shout whenever you’re ready and tell him that I referred you. It’s not nearly as scary as it sounds.”
"The math and Japanese professor?" Ignacio thought that he had him a couple of years back. He seemed like a really nice guy. And wasn't he married to that one fashion designer? Mad props. Ignacio could also see himself working with Professor Shinbo.
>> ”Ignacio, I want you to know that you can always talk to me. About anything.”
"...Anything?" Iggy asked. She shouldn't have said that. "Hm. well...I like guys and girls and everything in between. If someone's pretty, I want to talk to them." He playfully wiggled his eyebrows before standing up from the chair. He fixed his name brand clothes before looking up at Juliette. "I also have questions concerning being an X-Men Trainee. Like, once I become one, what all happens?"
The nurse knew that she wouldn't be able to reason with Martha so she had another one come and sedate her while she was cradling her head. Once Martha was out, she brought her back to the bed and woke her up. The nurses and Iggy didn't want anything bad to happen to her while she was there. In the morning, she was more than welcome to leave.
Iggy didn't know if his question about the replication of moon beams via Danger Room was for him to answer so instead he decided to stand there and look pretty. Though, the bit of information about him still figuring out his powers made Ignacio feel a little better about himself. Maybe he should ask him if he could become an X-Men Trainee.
After his friends made sure that Iggy was alright, they left to go back inside to cool off from the heat. The Summer Sun never bothered Iggy much. If anything, it felt like a warm, comforting blanket.
He mustered up enough courage to ask Professor Shinbo the question, "Hm, Juliette -- I want to become an X-Men Trainee and...Juliette suggested that I come to you for that since you're a team leader." Ignacio nervously stood there waiting for a response. The seventeen-year-old hoped that he would allow him to do this. Iggy knew that becoming an X-Men Trainee would cost a lot of his time so anything that he had to get rid of, the teen was willing to do just that.
Ignacio was in the process of flipping a shiny page in his magazine when he heard some sand shifting sand behind him. Thinking that it was just a seagull or crab, he turned his head to see if he could get a picture of it. However, when he did, Iggy saw a pink and blue scaled...something that had just stolen a dried mango slice.
"Hey, you...you colorful scaled thing! Ignacio shot up and looked down at the creature. "...What are you?! And I want my mango slice back!"
Iggy didn't know how he hadn't thought of coming to the sooner?! It was the Summer after all and everyone who was anyone spent their days lounging about at the beach. Even though the New York beach wasn't as beautiful as the ones back home and even on the west coast, Ignacio still felt at home there. He hadn't asked any of his friends to join him since he planned on meeting new ones down along the coast. The seventeen-year-old mutant was dressed in a pair of loud swim trunks that had pink and orange Aztec print, a white tank top, and flip flops. Slung over his shoulder was a bag that held his beach towel, two chilled bottled drinks of water (Thanks, @[Aiden]) three chocolate bars, and a bag of dried mango slices. Oh, and the latest subscription to US Bison Attire.
After wandering about the beach for a while, the kaleidoscope eyed teen found a nice spot by a couple of rocks and settled in. Iggy took out his beach towel and laid it on the soft sand so that it was parallel to the ocean. Next, he laid himself down, grabbed the dried mango slices and started to eat them. Oh, he almost forgot. Iggy took out his magazine and started to flip through the pages, lazily.
Becoming a model for US Bison Attire had been on his mind for the past few days. He knew that he could be able to be one, especially with his unique beauty.
The nurse rushed over, grabbing the key from her pocket to unlock the bathroom door to the ladies room. Once the door was unlocked. The woman entered the rest room.
"Miss, I can't allow you to sleep." She explained with a sigh. "You could suffer brain damage."
>> "Hey now. Don't go selling yourself short like that. It wasn't a waste. I'm here to help, as much as I am to teach. I'm just glad we figured out a solution that worked. You've got an interesting mutation. I wonder if moon beams work the same as sunbeams. Solar is solar, after all."
Ignacio smiled some and rubbed the back of his neck in mild embarrassment. "Uh, I think it has to be direct sunlight. I've never tried absorbing energy from the moon." Iggy was about to ask something when a reminder was made. Juliette had mentioned talking to Shinbo about becoming part of the X-Men Trainee, but after his little incident...
>> "How long have you had this power, if you don't mind me asking?"
"...A few years," Iggy answered, "three, actually. You'd think I would have better control over my powers."
