The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>> "Sunbathing really isn’t a difficult sell, buddy,”
Ignacio giggled happily at Juliette's joke. He was so filled with glee that he added an extra pep to his step, "as if we need to tan,"he playfully nudged his sponsor/friend. Then he paused, "wait, can we tan? I mean with us being all light-powered and all." Ignacio didn't think he had the capability to tan, but then again, he didn't know a lot about his powers.
>> "How’s all the training be-”
He had been studying the side of Juliette's face, waiting for a response when she stopped walking and stared directly into the pool. "What?" Ignacio turned his head to see what the off duty nurse was staring at. Ignacio's eyes went wide as he let out a dramatic gasp. He covered his mouth and felt himself welling up. "Oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God!" The eighteen-year-old could feel himself start to tear up at the thought of their being a dead body at the bottom of the pool.
>> "Iggy, we need to get him out of the pool,”
Iggy was frantic! Flailing about while exclaiming Spanish phrases and strings of sentences that didn't exactly go together. However, he for himself together and went into X-Men Trainee mode. He followed her into the pool and dived downward under the surface. Since they were still in the shallow in of the pool, Ignacio was able to push off of the bottom of the pool and propel himself towards the body. God, what if he was already dead? Then Iggy would be touching a dead body! He quickly smacked the thought out of his mind and attempted to pick him up.
He was a pretty good swimmer and could hold his breath up to a minute. Ignacio knew that he had to work fast and even though his vision was blurry and his eyes were burning from the chlorine in the water he had to keep focus. Quickly, he reached out for the guy's hand and attempted to pull him up.
Ignacio was static about spending time with Juliette. Over the course of about a month, the two solar/light mutants had bonded over various things that included their powers. Ignacio had made it his life's goal to be like Juliette when it came to her mutation. Though, Iggy failed to realize that mutations varied from person to person.
Anyway
"Juliette, thank you for going to the pool with me! I know you're busy being gorgeous and a bomb ass nurse so it really means a lot." Ignacio ran his fingers through his hair as the two made their way toward the Mansion's pool. It was around 5:00 in the afternoon with at least three more hours of sunlight left. He was dressed casually in a pair of orange swim trunks, dark brown flip flops, and an ocean themed towel thrown over his shoulder.
Ignacio just watched her throw a mini temper tantrum with wide eyes, raised eyebrows, and slightly opened mouth. "...I..." He didn't know how to respond to this. Was she some sort of Atlantean? He shook his head and turned back to his food. He didn't want his eggs or oatmeal to get cold.
"Kalos, genes...I don't know, okay? I'm not...a scientist." He answered with a shrug of his shoulders.
Ignacio giggled, shaking his head, "thanks! It comes naturally." He scratched his left facial cheek.
"I'd love to go to Costa Rica,"
Iggy nodded his head in agreement.
"So what do you remember best about Colombia...I've never been to Africa." He couldn't believe that Allegra actually thought that Colombia was in Africa. He blinked a few times before awkwardly scratching the top of his head.
Ignacio's eyes went wide. "...Colombia isn't in Africa. It's in Latin America."
"Hmm," Ignacio turned his head from side to side in thought. It wasn't exactly like a solar panel -- well, it was, but... "it's hard to explain, really. It would take me having to show you for you to understand." It was always best for others to see Iggy's powers for better understanding.
>>> “I can look like other people!”
Ignacio's eyes went wide. "You're a shape-shifter?! That's so cool!" Iggy clapped a couple of times out of pure joy and curiosity.
>>> “Do you have a wallet?”
"Yep!" Ignacio sat up in his chair just enough to take out his wallet that was in his right back pocket. It was still warm -- unnaturally warm -- even as he handed it to Chase.
>>> "Nice transformation! Next time, shout HENSHIN!"[/i]
Ignacio gave Shinbo a thumbs up before going back to business.
This wasn't going to be easy for Ignacio especially since it was one on five. AFter delivering the kick and punch, Iggy jogged backward and away from the five bots. He needed to get a clear view on all of them. With a quick breath, Ignacio turned and ran to the nearest...mail box? Huh. It was about five feet tall, blue, and metal. It was down shaped, standing up on four legs that were most likely screwed into the sidewalk. Y'know, those mailboxes that kids slip in their Christmas cards to Santa Claus to ask for various toys and treats.
Anywho, the solar-powered-mutant placed his hands on either side of the mailbox and yanked. His muscles tensed up and his pearly white teeth started to grit as the mailbox moaned with defiance. Ignacio had no intention of giving up. He looked over his shoulder to see two of the five metabots make his way toward him. Dammit, Iggy needed to get this thing up and out of the ground before they go too close. He curled his fingers against the mailbox and with a strong tug, was able to get the metal box free. Yes! Iggy then turned around and threw it at the closest bot. He watched as the sixty-pound piece of metal flew through the air and smack the bot right in the head, sending his head flying back.
"Hells yeah!" Ignacio threw a flammed fist into the air before running toward the other one that had made an advancement.
>>> ["Well you've got the power for it, more than me to be honest. But a model?...Yeah I can see it, you've got the ego for it already, might as well get the pedigree behind it."[/i]
"Awww!" Ignacio felt so honored that Alice agreed with him that he should be a model. That made him feel very, very special. And also boosted his ego, but just by a bit.
>>> "You met a girl called Allegra yet? She's wanting to be a designer, seems like she might have ideas about how to get into it. I know one of her teachers helped her, maybe she could introduce the two of you?"
Ignacio smiled widely when she brought up Allegra. "Oh, yeah! I know her!" He admitted with a wide smile. "We've met a couple of times in the hall along with us playing volleyball together one time. Her dogs are really nice." Iggy smiled over at Alice before looking forward again at the television screen. "Huh, I really enjoy being your friend, Alice. You're so cool. I hope you and I hope you become an X-Men Trainee so that we can go on missions together."
As soon as the door opened, Ignacio turned to look to see Ms. Gemma standing in the doorway. He was about to speak when he started to notice that he felt a little cooler. It wasn't too bad, but he finally knew that the Mansion had air conditioning. Even his eyes changed from their unique kaleidoscope eyes to a dark brown. Huh. The eighteen-year-old looked at himself in the reflection of the window and sighed. He knew that this would happen.
>> "Come on in. Would you like something to drink? Tea, coffee, hot chocolate?"
Ignacio quickly turned his head to look at the Mansion's counselor, "¡Aye, Buenos tardes, señorita Gemma!" He greeted with a smile. It wasn't as right as usual, but it was there. He entered her office and sat down on one of the chairs. "And hot chocolate, por favor."
>> "I'm Ambrosia, what's your name? You seem pretty accepting of the idea of a dragon coming to visit you."
Ignacio shrugged his shoulders, "At this point, anything's possible!" He ate another mango slice and moaned at the taste. He had no intention of eating the entire bag by himself anyways so he might as well share. Ignacio turned his attention back down to the weird mutant creature, tilting his head from side to side before giving up trying to understand who or what it was.
"How did you get here?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, "did you go through one of those portals I keep hearing about?"
Ignacio playfully rolled his eyes at Aiden and placed his hands on his waist. "Yeah, yeah. Excuses, excuses."
---
So, Aiden didn't like the code names that Iggy was giving him? That was fair, he guessed, but he wasn't about to give up now! "Permafrost! Snow! At least help me out here, Aiden!"
>> "Some people see me as such, i do a very nasrt, very violent thing"
That much was true, but Iggy didn't say it out loud. The last thing he wanted to do was say a sly remark to a mass murderer.
>> "I have no reason to harm you unless you decide to attack me, in that case i would seek to disable you first, causing only enough damage to knock you out or keep you from continuing the fight. Of your power however you intended to kill me i would still try and disable first but would use lethal force to protect my life."
Ignacio slowly nodded his head in understanding. Okay, so at least he wouldn't end up as her next victim. "Está bien." Was all he could say in response. He gave her one of his signature bright smiles. "I have no intention on killing you. Trust me."
>> "Harmless or not is not the issue, the fact you are mutant means you have nothing to fear from me provided you no not bring harm to out people"
"...I..." Iggy blinked a couple of times, "should we head back inside or are you okay with this heat?"
Iggy raised his eyebrows at Kalos. She was a little ball of coral sassy!
"That's not the way things work, Kalos. You can't believe something just because you don't like the facts." Ignacio smirked and tapped her cute button nose.
Well, that was a change in direction. He blinked a few times before answering,
"No, as long as there's a small sliver of space." Iggy didn't know that much about science and the like, but he hoped that Kalos understood.
Ignacio nodded his head slowly as he both listened to Alice and read the text on the screen that was explaining the next part of the mission. The one main thing about video gaming was that you could slip away from reality and just be a totally different person. The seventeen-year old's eyes didn't leave the screen, but his ears were trained on Alice.
"I've thought about it. I could put this sunshiney hotness to good use," Iggy paused and on what he was saying and instead focused on his thoughts, "then there's the thing where I want to become a model. I know that sounds vain, but when you have looks, you have looks." He shifted his eyes over to Alice, then back at the screen.
Classes were over and Iggy had just finished meeting up with Juliette. They had been getting pretty close over the course of the month that they have been talking. Iggy considered her his big sister and stole her chocolates every time he sees her. It was a cute thing they did. Juliette had told him that he should meet with the guidance counselor to talk about how he was feeling and anything else career wise or anything like that. She also told him that she went ahead and called her that he was coming to make sure she wouldn't be too busy.
Ignacio had only met Ms. Gemma a few times and that was from a distance. He heard that she was an adapt human and could turn off mutant's powers. That didn't bother Iggy since he thought that they were just spreading rumors. She seemed pretty nice to him. The now eighteen-year-old knocked on Ms. Gemma's door to her office and waited for a response. Before she opened the door, Ignacio turned to look at his reflection in the mirror. He made sure his tank top and khaki shorts worked together. He still looked good.
