The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"...Oh," Ignacio watched the woman scruff down her food like there was no tomorrow. It kind of reminded him of himself except with Hersey's chocolate bars. Gods, he could go for a couple right now. Ignacio reached into his pocket and pulled out a kiss instead and de-wrapped it, popping it into his mouth. Iggy loved how the chocolate instantly melted on his tongue, "alright, then. You might need to slow down or you'll get a stomach ache."
"..." Ignacio looked over her, studying her clothing choice and disapproved, "...are you homeless?"
Ignacio had no idea where the woman was going, but he sure was about to find out. He decided to make chase after seeing the money being stuffed into her jeans and her stomach growl.
He made sure to keep a good distance behind her so that he didn't look suspicious. Had the woman stolen the money? Did she just finish dealing with a "client"? These were all questions that Ignacio needed answered. Plus, if she did steal something, it was his job as a hero to advantage those who have been wronged and that included thieves.
After about five minutes, he found himself watching the woman run into a restaurant. Ignacio concluded that she was obviously hungry. That would explain the sound that was emitted from her stomach when she stopped to apologize.
Ignacio side stepped so that she didn't see him. He watched as he sat down and devoured the fries. He slowly made his way over to her, stopping a good two feet away before addressing her.
"Hola, Señorita," he started softly in Spanish, "Are you okay?" Igancio would've took a seat next to her, but those khaki shorts that he was wearing cost over fifty dollars and he had no intention of getting them dirty.
Ignacio found the little girl quite adorable! Her blue eyes and pink skin made her look like a little coral plushy. He bent down so that he was at eye level with her and smiled.
"Oh, I can help you no problemo!" Ignacio quickly stood up and led the little coral girl to the buffet table. He decided that he could always just circle around once he got her the food she wanted.
"What would you like?" The teenage mutant asked, looking over and down at her. Gods, he couldn't get over how cute she was! He wanted to strap her to his back and show off her cuteness to the world.
Before lunch, Ignacio decided to take a run around the Mansion. He was enjoying the cloudless sky that has decided to grace his tanned skin. With each stride he felt his power from the Sun being synthesized into energy for himself. It was like every cell in his body was like a mini solar panel. On days like this, he felt like he could do anything!
After about ten more minutes, he decided to head back inside, take a shower, and get dressed. Once he came back down, he made his way toward the kitchen, having mango slices and yogurt on his mind. When he turned into the kitchen, he almost bumped into a little girl.
"Hola, squirt, how do you look so nervous?" He asked with a bright smile. "Do you need help getting you something to eat?"
"Just mutant related. Both of my parents," he took in a deep breath and exhaled, "were mutants too." Ignacio hoped that his parents didn't come up in conversation and hoped that Juliette would just gloss over it. He ate another chocolate and sighed. So euphoric.
Ignacio sat patiently as the health teacher checked over his file. He didn't know what she was supposed to do other than stuff his mouth full of chocolate and hope that he didn't get too much of a stomach ache from it. He adjusted the way he sat, placing both feet on the floor and sitting up straight. God, all he wanted to do was get out there and go outside to enjoy the sun's warmth and power.
He listened to the short story that Juliette was giving him and sighed. The difference between her story and his was that Ignacio instigated without reason. Ignacio's knee started to bounce in the silence. He didn't want to answer her question truthfully because he knew that she would make him go see someone about his self loathing. Suddenly, he had an outburst.
"!No sé! I dunno! What do you want me to say?!" When Ignacio threw his arms to the sides of his body, multicolored solar flares blew out. The whiteness of his eyes and his irises filled with a sunny orange. Ignacio quickly scrunched up and clasped his hands together. His eyes were still glowing. I-I'm sorry. Sometimes when I get excited I--." He shook his head buried his face in his hands. The flares were harmless, but it still managed to scare himself as well as others.
Deciding to absorb the last remaining sunlight, Ignacio decided to go for a leisure walk through. He made sure to tell an adult that he was heading out of the Mansion and assured them that he would be back a hour before curfew. After getting the okay, he did just that. Ignacio noticed how far the Mansion was from all of the exciting things New York City had to offer. He guessed it made sense since a bunch of mutant kids wandering around the Big Apple wasn't safe for anyone.
Ignacio was dressed nicely wearing a pastel pink shirt that were tucked into his khaki shorts and Sperry's on his feet. His hair was slicked back and his finger nails clipped to perfection. Ignacio Ramírez loved his preppy boy style. It made him feel special. Though all of this was to cover up his self loathing.
With the reminder of light that was left, Ignacio turned the corner to go to one of the bars he liked. Though he was too young to drink, it was nice to be able to sing and listen to others do the same. Just before he could walk into the bar, a woman rang into him.
"Umph!" Ignacio stumbled back, almost falling on his butt. He quickly swiped around to see the lady. "Hey! You tan into me!"
Ignacio stared at Alice's fist, then her face. He wanted her to punch him. He deserved it after all for what he's done to his parents. Though, he didn't want to get his fellow classmate in trouble and decided not to get on her bad side by finishing the joke. "...I'm sorry about the jokes, it must get tiring." Ignacio gulped and slowly reached out and held her first before lowering it down. "There we go."
"...Yes, but I also it helps me understand it better if I write it in Spanish," and he felt closer to home when he did it, "put you're right, I should write in ingles." He chuckled and rewrote the note in English. "There! Problem solved, Alice."
"Mmm...The east just seems nice. Rome is definitely somewhere that I want to go. There and Spain." Ignacio sniffed and started to doodle on edge of his paper. Ignacio had been to other countries including Mexcio, Argentina, Costa Rica, Canada and of course the US.
"I'm from Colombia. What city in Britianna are you from?"
"Of course!" Ignacio exclaimed happy, "it is simple math, but I can understand how one your age could get confused," and he didn't mean if in a bad way. It was just simply true. The teenage sun god looked over the problem and tried to do it in his head. He mumbled the mental math as he worked it out. Iggy's eyebrows knitted inward as he thought.
He was about to pull out his phone to calculate the final answer, when he got it himself. "¡la solución es veinticuatro! Estoy intelligente que yo pensamientos." Ignacio said to myself with a bright smile. He then turned his attention to the preteen.
"Está bien, first you solve what's in the parentheses, then work out the rest of the problem from left to right." Ignacio sat back in his seat, "then tell me what you get."
After swallowing, Ignacio grabbed another piece of chocolate, unwrapped it, and ate it. Chocolate always made him feel calm when he got nervous. Dragging his tongue across his front teeth, Ignacio snatched two more and stuffed them into his pocket. With his "addiction" to chocolate, Iggy was always surprised that he never gained any weight. Perhaps he just had one of those weird metabolism things going on. He didn't know.
Before he could pop another chocolatey delight when Juliette asked for confirmation about his name. Ignacio slowly lowered his hand to his lap and tried to keep up his happy facade. "Sí, it is. When I was born, my body temperature was higher than normal. So they named me 'Ignacio'." The mutant cleared his throat before finally eating the piece of candy. He didn't like talking about his parents. Not since what happened.
When Juliette pushed the bowl closer to Ignacio, he went ahead and picked up the bowl and place it in his lap. He stared down at the wrapped chocolates and didn't respond to what Juliette said.
"...I stole his pencil and wouldn't give it back," Ignacio said quietly, "then I egged him on until he hit me."
"Alice? That is a pretty name. Aliceee," He practice saying her name. It was interesting to say it. He never knew an Alice before so this was certainly interesting, "like Wo-- never mind." Ignacio snickered and playfully nudged her with his shoulder. "No fun, huh? I understand. Trust me." He himself had been the butt of jokes, but they weren't based on his name rather the way he acted.
Ignacio listened Alice explain to him the difference between the two words. Honestly, they both meant the same to him. "So,"[/u] the teenage mutant started, "heinous is like someone wearing polkadots and strips and invidious is someone being jealous of my name brand clothes?" Ignacio blinked a couple of times before smiling and laughing. "I kid, I kid! I understand, Alice." He looked down at his worksheet and jotted down the explanations, but in Spanish.
After this, he looked over at Alice again, "so, you are Britian? How is it there?" Iggy had planned to backpack across Europe after he graduated from high school. Ignacio needed all the information he could get.
"Great!" Ignacio flashed an abnormally bright smile at her, "gracias, English girl!" He scooted his chair closer to his classmate and did a cute little wiggle. He was wearing a pastel orange polo shirt that was neatly tucked into his white shorts.
"The only two I am having problems with his figuring out the difference between 'heinous' and 'invidious'. No sé. They both mean the same thing, no?"Though Ignacio had been living in America for nine years, he still liked using his Spanish whenever he could. It also made him feel closer to his roots and more importantly, his family.
He turned to look at the girl and placed his hand on his chest, "oh, by the way, I'm Ignacio Angel Santos Ramírez, but you can call me Ignacio, Iggy, or Angel."
Ignacio stared out the window of the English classroom he was currently in. He didn't like being inside for long periods of time especially when the Sun was out and shining. With a sigh, he turned his attention back to the list of vocabulary words that he was given to study over for their next quiz.
It was 1:40 in the afternoon which meant that they still had twenty minutes left of class. The teacher had stepped out to check on something leaving the class to themselves.
Most of the words on the ten item lists were words that he knew. The other ones he would simply have to study. Running his thin fingers through his slicked back brown hair, Ignacio glanced to the left and right of him. "Aye, Mamí, you are the HUD chica, yes? Are you good with English vocabulary words?" He asked in a quiet voice making his accent thicker. His kaleidoscope eyes scanned over ever blue hair before falling on the side of her face.
Ignacio scrunched up his face. "Ew, math homework, no bueno." The older boy could feel his pain. He was never a fan of math either for obvious reasons. English? Yes. History? Heck yes. Science? Eh, Math? No. Though, he assumed that Chase's homework was easier than his algebra two.
"Do you need any help? I'll be more than happy to!" Ignacio smiled brightly and hopped up from the couch coushins and went over to the younger boy. He sat down across from him and took a peep. "Oh! I know how to do this! Do you want my help?"
"To the chocolate," Ignacio answered. He didn't want to sound too excited about the prospect of free chocolate. His little "addiction" always made him feel less stressed out. Biting his lip, he leaned forward and grabbed a chocolate. He didn't hesitate and popped the unwrapped delight into his mouth and started chewing.
This bought him enough time to come up with a story that sounded believable. "Juliette. That's a very beautiful name. I have a second cousin who's name is Juliette." He knew that piece of information was unneeded but, hey, he was nervous. This was the first time Ignacio got in trouble.
When it came to talking about what happened, Ignacio sighed and pecked at the fabric of his shoe. "It was a misunderstanding. I can be put on dishes for the week." Ignacio chewed on his bottom lip and straightened his back. He sighed heavily scratched his forehead. "No sé," he glanced up at Juliette, "but I'm not a troublemaker." he just liked punishing himself.
"Alright, I see you chicas later!" Ignacio waved to a couple of his female friends as he entered the living room. It was rather spacious which meant that he could lay out on one of the couches. Turning his head to examine to room, his eyes fell on a boy younger than himself working on homework. Ignacio should be doing the same thing, but decided that he would put it off until the last minute like he always did.
Ignacio headed out to the large window and moved the curtains. The sunlight hit his skin, bringing a bright smile to his face. He felt a little bit of tingling on the tips of his fingers before turning around and sitting down on the couch adjacent to the table that the boy was at.
"Hey, there," Ignacio greeted in his Spanish accent, "what are you doing? You look stressed out!" He sat up and pulled his knees to his chest. "Homework tends to that to you."
