Well, that's true having all the dancers over without Paige would be a giant chocolate cake without the cream on top. Great, awesome even but missing just that little extra flair to finish it off. She was just too fun and useful to keep around, her threats had no power. "Damn you and your logic and reasonable points. But I'll find something I can use agaisnt you. Somehow."

Nope, even with her head clearer and thoughts less jumbled with Lust she couldn't think of anything she could take from the taller woman without punishing herself in the process. Seriously she was just too good at what she did for Skye to just stop including her.

The look on her friends face said it all, the idea of staying freaked her a little and she would come up with an excuse to leave. Poor dear, Skye just liked sleeping cuddled up to someone, it's not like she was asking her out or going on a date with her. It was purely platonic post sex snuggles. No deeper meaning. At all. Wait, did shopping together for underwear count as a date or a work outing?

Damn it was hard to know where lines lay when their jobs and their friendship willfully strode back and forth across them. "Of course dear, don't worry about it but the offer is always on the table. I can guarantee I have some pillows that would give you the best sleep you've ever had." Her arm went under her chest for added emphasis. Few people could resist that prospect for long, she'd come around eventually. Until then, Skye had plenty of people willing to cuddle up for a good nights sleep.

Also, yeah that was a fair point. Getting out of bed was hard enough on a night when Paige was in it, on a morning? God that would be impossible. "I don't know, I have a very big bath, there's all sorts of early morning prospects in there." A wink, a light laugh and a warm smile added into the mix was all she could muster anymore, she was knackered. She needed sleep.

Holding out her arms and going in for a hug, she gave Paige one last squeeze for the road, "Be safe on the way home sweetie, you know how bad the streets are getting nowadays." Too many people went missing and something about the feel of them was messing with her head. She liked to stay in touch with the vibe of it, old habits died hard after all.

It wasn't often she got a full shift on the stage, the floor manager liked the girls flitting around among the punters to get them all happy and giddy about being close to the person who had just been showing off her skills on the stage and with the nature of her mutation, that went double for her. What respectable businessman wouldn't take advantage of a dancer with the power to literally get the gets riled up with only a light touch. It was just good sense really.

The only issue? She'd been using up a lot recently and if they wanted her to be able to do her magic for the big game tomorrow, they had to give her an easy day before. Hell, she wasn't going to complain, she pulled in plenty from tips and she didn't have to spend the night with a foggy mind with the after effects. Win, win situation really.

All in all, it was a damn good day. Well, mostly a good day, there was the incident of someone getting a little grabby when they gave her some bills.

He got dealt with pretty quick, hard to not appreciate good security boys who looked out for the dancers. Some of them 'really' appreciated them but they were frankly a bit too beefy for her. If she wanted man to share a night with she frankly preferred the dancers they had. Something to be said for a guy who was tall, cute and flexible.

Coming to the end of her dancing and striking a pose, she loved this little part for the end. She got to play up the posh accent she had and it drove the poor dears wild. "Well then darlings I hope you don't forget about me after seeing the rest of tonight's performers. Wouldn't want a visit from Cheshire in the night now would you?" Adding a playful wink and sauntering off towards the dressing rooms, she could finally relax, have a nice refreshing drink and maybe see about teasing Paige before she finished her own shift.

Sliding into her chair, she took a nice look in her mirror, impressed by how resistant the new make-up was to a night working. She had to get more of the stuff.

Finally, finally she could think a little clearly after days of being so bottled up an frustrated it was ridiculous. She really needed more stress relief sessions over the week but frankly, she wasn't sure her power could handle the extra usage. Or the girls. Too much of a good thing could always bite her when it came to the women she worked with. Speaking of.

"How I plan to go out sweetie and I couldn't imagine a woman more capable of getting me there than you." Her words were just a little out of breath, OK a lot out of breathe, but it was the good way. The kind after something very enjoyable, "Just give me a heads up if that's your plan, can't be having you conking out on me yet. Who else would take advantage of little ol' me then?"

A shower was probably a very good idea before sleep, but frankly she didn't think her legs would work right now and even if she made it, Paige would probably slip in with her and they'd be back where they started. Because of course the woman wouldn't be able to hold herself back from the idea of teasing a tired Skye in such an environment. She might do anything for her friend, but that didn't mean she trusted her when it came to things like that.

Rolling over from her back and looking her friend up and down, "You know, I don't know if I should be thanking you or being annoyed with how bad you got me at work." Both, to be honest. The pair had no strings fun and frankly, afterwords she was pretty glad of the experience, no matter how it had started. "But I swear, make it that hard again and I'm inviting every dancer back here but you. And we'll have so much fun dear, all without the guest of honour." Let her stew on that. Not being included in that would drive her crazy.

"I bet you're not going anywhere tonight though, you want anything to eat before we sleep? Maybe some snacks?" Being in Paige's aura always made her hungry, worse it made her want a proper kebab and they just didn't do them that well over in the U.S. Well, they weren't that good back home either but they had that right level of meatiness and oil.

OK, yeah it might be best for her to just curl up and sleep. "On second thought, eating with you around will just make the morning even rougher. Hang on, I'll grab some glasses of water for the morning. And some headache tablets." Hangovers without drinking. What a world.

Slipping out of bed, not bother to get dressed, she retrieved the glasses, filled them up and put them on the bedside cabinet, all the while give the happy woman in her bed a little show of swishing hips. She deserved some reward after all.

Of course he'd met her and of course the girl was probably doing more than just being friends with him. Knowing her she was making googly eyes at him for being tall and decent looking. But the dogs, god they were a bit much. Well, all dogs were but still. "Of course your already getting know among the pretty girls, soon you'll be starting fights over which one wants to flirt with you." Straight girls and their liking men, no taste at all.

"Maybe, I'm still on the fence about the whole thing and even if we were both trainees, I have a feeling we'd both be under different teachers. Speaking of who did you get?" Maybe he had gotten trained by Maya, she seemed to be pretty good at handling teenagers. When she wasn't hitting them and giving them a nasty headache that was.

"But you seem pretty taken with the idea, you want to get beaten up that much?" Training wasn't fun and games, literally as she'd found out. More than a little pain and a decent amount of hunger, but maybe that was just her. "Oh hey you want any snacks? I've always got some stashed."

That was kind of amazing, she'd never even heard of this guy and he did something that important? Put a few things into perspective certainly, she was a lot more sheltered than she'd thought. "Wow, that's really impressive. Was this during the era of the Soviet Union?" That would be not just amazing, but damn brave too, that place didn't have a great reputation. And well, gulags were a thing.

"Pfft, I half believe I am in Wonderland after coming across here, nothing feels real yet, you know?" Not to weird since she'd only been around for a few days, maybe after getting settled New York would start feeling, normal. What ever that was in this city, that was hard to judge right now. "You on the other hand, already have the great part down, you'd take this city by storm if you were any better." Some people just had the luck when it came to what life gave them. Sure some mutations made it hard but to her, that just added extra flavour to your awesomeness.

It was an interesting line of thought though, what did she want to do here? How long was she going to stay, was she going to study here or back home? Maybe she should have considered this stuff before running away.

Longest. Shift. Ever. Controlling the dose she was giving out as she prowled around the floor was hard enough without the other girls doing the usual light touches and close hugs they often used to entice patrons out of money. Worse every time she was getting a little clearer headed Sherri came along to force her thoughts right back to a less than professional area. That girl must have really wanted it to be a long night because at this rate, sleep was not going to happen. At all.

Gaining more than her fair share of bills that night, a few finding themselves trapped with in her girls, it all totaled up as a very profitable night. Shame she barely registered her position as top earner from the manager, or the other girls standing around her, she only had eyes for her pretty tormentor of the evening. She'd wanted Cheshire, wanted the dosed up demon she could be after a hard nights work and the signs were pretty obvious she was firmly in that mindset. Some of their coworkers had more than knowing grins and the two who'd been hoping for another go were clearly disappointed, knowing they'd have to wait their turn. Event the manager could barely repressed the smile breaking out.

Prize? Oh she knew what was hers, pulling the taller woman's head down for a kissing, with a nice little dose of Lust to add to the fun. Lingering just a little longer than she should have, Skye finally broke the contact but not before giving her friends backside and firm squeeze. "You know exactly what I want Booksie. You're mine, no sharing, no one else." Tonight the woman was all hers.

"Get dressed and get us a cab quick or I might not be able to hold out." Trailing one last Lust filled hand down her arm, she turned quickly and swayed back to the changing rooms, hastily pulling on a shirt and some jeans. Damn woman with her teasing and touching. If they made it back to hers in one piece it was going to be a miracle.

Gather up her things and stuffing them carelessly into her bag, she could only manage a quick check for any forgotten items before she was driven towards the outside. It was just too hot inside, the half naked girls getting changed into street clothes did not help matters and her friends took no time in giving her a good show, knowing exactly the state she was in.

"Paige, we good to go because I'm about ready to explode thanks to you!" The ride over was going to be the longest ten minutes of her life.

Holy s---. That had worked. It had actually freaking worked! She'd beaten the unbeatable and lived through it. It was giddying, it was awesome and then she had Captain Kirk himself congratulating her. This was the best. Day. Ever. "Rivers sir, reporting for duty."

Ignoring Bones arguing and grinning at Spocks irritated tone she was officially on cloud nine. Nothing could top this moment. Unless, yeah maybe that would be even better. Standing slowly and turning to face Kirk, she first saluted then offered a hand, wanting to shake the most legendary Star Trek characters hand and really cement the moment. "I couldn't have done it alone sir, everyone on the bridge deserves recognition."

"Humble? Can't say I would have pegged you for the type but fair point, congratulations to everyone, we made it through together." Taking the offered hand and shaking it, he gave her a more than interested once over.

The bottom of her stomach dropped out. Oh no, she'd forgotten that little factoid. Abort, abort all systems. "T.....thank you," raising her voice slightly trying to gain her mentor's attention, "How did we fare in the instructors eyes?" The pleading eyes in Gawain's general direction spoke volumes.

More than one complaint of protocol and chain of command could be heard, and one voice saying something about jumped up cadets but Spock's cut through them all. "The cadet may require additional training with regards to the proper procedure but it cannot be denied she found an inventive solution to an impossible situation. That should be commended." As emotional as usual, the words still filled her with pride.

"The results of the test will be discussed among the staff, you are dismissed cadets."
