The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hey everyone,
I'm sorry I didn't get this message out sooner, but I just wanted to let you all know that I'm graduating college this week (YAY!) and that is the reason I haven't been able to be online. I'll return at the end of this week or the beginning of next week. Sorry for being away for so long.

Sooooo some people would like to have an overall storyline going for the board to make it easier for them to think of ideas for rping...which I can go for. I've made Cassiel the mod for this and he's going to post up the storylines with progressions as we rp. We have some storylines suggested already on the forum, so if you would like to see one go into play or have an idea of one, reply in this thread!

OK Loves,
I have a/2 mod position/s open for someone/s to pretty much oversee the posting going on and to make sure everyone is following the rules and not having outrageous posts like people doing something crazy with their powers though their attributes would prohibit such a thing. Two of my lovely elders are up for the positions because of seniority and experience. They are:
Del Siren
If they should accept, I'll have them do it...If you're interested in the position, PM me. Thanks.

Thank you guys for your comments.
For Fade, one reason we don't accept cannons is because of the whole "Well Gambit wouldnt do this" blah blah, so yea, I could see the challenge with understanding each one.
For Daria, the reason for "depends" is because a lot of peole wanted cannons since the first RPG and I know the reasons for "yes" and "no". The "depends is more for the "new" people.
For Cass, I think mod controlling would be difficult, especially because a lot of people will start to sign up or current members will def want a cannon charac. Unless...we get more than one mod...hmmm
For Dia, I agree with the relationship thing you were talking about. I think that history should be wiped, but the other "known facts" about the cannons should be kept. Oh and thank you for the thought of Gambit getting together with me. HAHA..*looks dreamily while batting eyes.*

In part of my updates, I begin to delete old characters of people who have not been active in the past five or six months anyway. The exceptions are if I was told that he/she would be gone for a while. I usually send out a mass e-mail and wait for replies from the members. If there isn't any or I get confirmation, I just delete the accounts and mark down what mutations the member had, thus being up for grabs again.

I'm rolling it around since we've lost contact with one of the Mods. Abyss has suggested the idea to me as well as a few candidates. I think having back up Mods is a fine idea since things seem to be hard at times for the ones we have now. Real life can be a pain and coming here is supposed to be enjoyment, not work.
