The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

" True, but I could care less about what others think. That's not what matters. " Eliza said, cracking her left hand as she closed it into a fist. " I'll have to ask Tric what it's like to have a lap dog like you, jumping at her every command. So, you are going to visit Kage tomorrow. That sounds like a fun time. He hates Psychics even more than I do. better be careful, or he'll kill you before you know what hit you. "
Mike smirked, walking over to cell to look more closely. "Why would you care what a 'lap dog' is like? Jealous?" He smirked, "It probably would be hard to see someone who has people who actually give a shit whethere she lives or dies. Of course, I could make it not bother you if you want. Or I could make it bother you if it doesn't. All I'd have to do is wait for you to fall asleep, you know. You don't have to access memories to rewire emotional responses. Which, of course, we proved today."
He looked at his watch, the cocky smirk never leaving his face. "What do you know, dinner time. Oh, by the way, if you can figure out what emotional responses I twisted, I'll change them back for you in the morning. I'm fairly sure that at least three of them won't be triggered until you're out of here, though, so you're just out of luck with those."
" If you really did mess with my mind, then I'll kill you, nice and slowly. I'll make it last for hours, and have you begging me for death before I'm done with you. " Eliza said, the tone in her voice changing form taunting to deadly serious, her eyes narrowing. " You know, the mind is a powerful weapon all by itself. If you start messing with it, you never know what the result will be. "
Mike smirked. "No, YOU don't know the result. I know it quite well For example, when I twist it one way, it makes you extremely aroused at the sight of a yellow dog. Twist another association, and it makes you suicidal the second you every point a gun or prepare any other weapon to use against me or any other people living here."
He shrugged. "But you know sooooo much about what goes on in your mind, so I probably don't need to tell you whether I did anything or not, do I?" He was almost laughing now.
"Have a nice night. Don't scream too loud if you find out that you're suddenly terribly afraid of the dark," he laughed, keying in the code to open the door into the War Room.
Mike smirked back. "Well yeah, of course he did, you were a lot of fun for him. It's easy for telepathic pedophiles to make you forget what they did to you. Hell, you didn't even block that hidden memory when I came across it," Mike called back, looking back with a sadistic smirk.
Eliza smirked. " Yea, that one will be turning in the future, no doubt about it. He's close already to true darkness. " she thought to herself. She closed her eyes, and went to sleep, her mind just fine.
A man in all black appeared in the doorway, his jacket covered with all sorts of devices, one of which he was tucking into his belt. He strode quickly into the holding cell room, walking up to Eliza's cell.
"Eliza Williams? Someone would like to hire your services... if you'd care to leave this cell, that is."
"Right there," he said, pointing to a small locker on the side of the room. He tossed a small device to her. "Put this on. It lasts five minutes, and will keep the security systems from spotting you," he said, activating a similar device on his arm.
