The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

One more memory showed up. This one was of Eliza standing on a launch pad, looking at a helicopter. She had her deadly throwing knives in her pocket, and was ready to get going. She looked over at the little pisses that had been assigned to go with her, thinking it would be much easier if she just killed then when she landed, and then went alone. She spun her dagger, turning to see Whitmore coming out of the entrance at the top of the mountain, where the hidden launch pad was. The cloaking tech was quite impressive. " Just wanted to wish you luck. " Whitmore said, turning to head back inside. " Eliza cleared her throat loudly. " Fine. " Whitmore said, handing her a file full of cash. " That's better fatboy. ' Eliza said, getting into the chopper along with the runts that she'd be killing later on. She looked down as they took off towards their mission, seeing the mountain fade into the distance. The memory ended, as her hand twitched.
*Tricity opened her eyes and took a deep breath.* "Those mountains are around here!* *She quickly got up in the excitement, but had to grab onto the table to keep her standing. All that mental energy from Cassiel had taken a toll on Tricity. She had to wait a few moments and then began talking again, as she held her head in a bit of pain.* "His base is around here somewhere. Those mountains I saw are around where Kaine and I went that day he was taken! Maybe Kage will know the exact location so we aren't found snooping about around there?"
"I hope so," Mike said, disengaging himself from Eliza's mind, this time for good. He floated her body back onto her bed, not wanting to be close to her if and when she woke up. He wasn't afraid to fight her, but at the moment he just wasn't in the mood to. "It's a start, at least. The question is, do we go after his base first, or find the other stone first."
Mike's eyes were looking everywhere in the room except at Tricity as he spoke.
"I don't know, but let's follow the lead we have and talk to Kage tomorrow." *Tricity mentally turned the locking mechanisms and mutation barriers on the cell and then looked back at Mike.* "Are you alright? I can go alone tomorrow, if you want..."
"QUite the safe offer for you to make, considering that you know I'm not letting you go alone," he commented, not able to hold the smirk from his face as he leaned on the table.
"Ah... about what got bounced out of my mind while she was kicking me out of her head..." Mike hesitated. What was he about to say, after all? 'Just to let you know, I'm a head case?'
Eliza was concious, had been since the end of the last memory, and before Cass floated her back to her bed. Butm she faked being out for a little while.
*She touched his shoulder, smiling.* "Don't worry about it. We dealt with that already, ok? I'm gonna head upstairs now and try and get some sleep. Don't hang around here too long. I'm sure she won't be too happy when she wakes up." *Tricity gave him a hug and left the room, feeling mentally exhausted from the session.*
"Sure is," Mike answered, double checking that the power inhibitors in Eliza's cell were switched on. "Of course, 'cute' in the eyes of a murderer is rather relative, isn't it?"
" Hm, Hm, Hm. I can tell. Just by the way you act. I bet you wish that the little retarded bastard growing inside of that crack-whore's stomach was your little retarded bastard, don't you? " Eliza said, folding her legs as she crossed her arms.
Mike sat up on the table. "Yeah, I wish that I was having a baby at eighteen with a woman six years older than me. Leave the mind reading to me, I'm much better at it."
" Are you? Then how come Reflection knocked your ass back into your own memories? If you were so good at picking my brain, you'd be able to get at anything in my mind. " Eliza said, smirking. " I don't know what memories you saw, but I do know when my power of Reflection is activated. I can feel it, all the way down to my sub-concious. Which tells me that you failed to find all that you wanted to find. " Eliza took a pack of cigerattes out of her inner jacket, and her matches as well. She lit her cigeratte, and took a nice long drag of it, blowing the smoke into Cass's direction.
"Well, we found out plenty that we wanted to know, along with lots of stuff we didn't. Frankly, I wouldn't want to be in your head any more than I had to be. Sob stories about your slut mommy getting strangled by your psycho daddy are kind of tedious. And so is parricide."
Mike reached into his back pocket and pulled out his own pack. What the hell. The past few days had been hell enough that he'd relapsed into the habit, he might as well not be fiending for a smoke while he razzed her.
" If you saw that memory, then that means that I don't care who knows about it. I'm sure your whore of a sister misses you, but for all the wrong reasons. or, at least in your mind, the right reasons. " Eliza said, smirking. She was wuite sure that he did not realize that she also saw his memories when reflection activated. " Bet you want to throw her on a bed, and have yourself a grand old time. Makes me sick. But, that is the nature of male darkness. And I can see that you have much more darkness than you let on. "
"Oh, I want to do bad things to people that deserve them, that's for sure," Mike said rolling his eyes slightly. She was making random guesses, and the guesses were almost hillarious to him for how far off track they were. He focused on how hillariously off base she was to stem his anger, though he mentally filed the comments about his sister for later. When he met her outside this room, he'd remember those comments, and he'd make sure it hurt more when she paid for her various crimes against humanity. "I'm not the one who kills random people for money, though. And here you are, coming here to kill a mother-to-be. Your father would be so proud that you're following in dear old daddy's footsteps. Hell, you were going to get the kid along with the mother, you're actually outdoing him now."
