The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Meld listed to Aura's advice and nodded her head in ascension, seeing the obvious wisdom in her plan. As for her personal story, Meld remained outwardly unmoved. It explained a lot, actually, but there would be time for questions later, when they weren't fleeing for their lives, if there was ever a time in which such questions would be appropriate.
Meld remained cautious in her retreat, moving backwards and not taking her eyes off of her enemy. The vision from her flesh melded eye was finally starting to clear and the pain was finally starting to dissipate somewhat, for which she was thankful.
Meld finally came to the unconscious guard by the stairs and lifted him, her metal hand digging into his neck. "I have him," she yelled loud enough for both her enemy and Aura to hear. "Try anything and this human will suffer for your actions." She continued to move towards the exist, dragging her hostage with her.
"Very true, quite sad we had to cut the dance short, it's almost worth having to deal with the police" She said with a smile and abit of a laugh. "Good luck" she said as she waited for the signal to come down the stairs. Meld she had confidence in but David might resist, she was glad he did not.
Aura was glad David and Meld got the plan, and also happy it worked out the way she had hoped. Upon hearing Meld's call she waisted no time, the baldes in her feet flowing back into he Aura, even as she made the first steps to run up the stairs. She knew her Aura would be stronger without the Blades and she did not entirely trust the man. She was making a bet he would continue to fill his role as she reached the secound story she looked back once hoping the man would escape to. It would be harder to fight him if she had to break into a prison first after all, though she suspected he was a far more disaplined fighter then she was.
She backed up as she met with meld's psoition turning around a bit as she did, she kept torward the exit but she wnated to make sure she was the last through, if she was shot her Aura could take the blow from at least the first few if they were anything like the police revolver. She knew very littile of Bullets and guns but she knew their were many diffrent types and their was likely a reason for that. As aura made her way to the exit she turned and ran. "Nice work you two, with any luck Fluffy will follow us and we can continue our dance" she said excitement breaking through in her voice, despite knowing she might very well lose the fight. That was fine with her however and they had avoided being on camera for the most part to which was even better.
David ran towards one side of the building "This way" He yelled back. In his mind he was going over everything, thinking of which window would be best. He came across an office, with the door still locked. "Hey I have us an exit over here." He said taking a few steps back. He ran forward and gave the door a solid kick, it jerked but nothing happened. "Man, it worked much better in the movies." He thought as he walked back ten feet.
He prepared himself, then charged at the door, ducking his shoulder and slamming into it hard. the door broke open and David went flying to the ground in the office. "Here we are." In front of him was a large window, below was the back end of the building, leading to the alleys of NYC. All he had to do was get down there and get to the van, then they could drive away. Then again the cops were arriving, so he had to hurry.
Following this response to Aura he heard Meld call out that she had a guard as her hostage now and saw Aura's blades recede into the aura around her. Even if he had a silencer he would not take this opportunity, Meld may not be immediately aware that Aura has been taken out, assuming the bullet pierces the Aura, but shortly there after it would be all to apparent. After Aura had moved from where he could see her, thereby he was unable to see any of her party, he quickly began searching for alternate exits on the ground level. The lobby would be inadvisable as the first responders were pulling in out front but a back or side exit would work perfectly.
He moves across the lobby and into a hallway leading to the side of the building. He had stashed his Hayabusa near the bank on this side, the left looking at the entrance. He made a turn at the end of the hallway and came across an office room on this level. Assuming a window sits in this room he attempts to open the door, locked. Not wasting any time he draws his gun a and takes four shots. One above, one below, and two on the side of the handle. He then hits the handle and lock setting out of the door and opens it entering the office room. He knew that if the others were still in the building they would have heard the shots, perhaps they may think the cops have already entered.
He looks across the office room and sure enough there is a small window, not tiny but not big. He deems good enough and he runs at the window firing three rounds into the glass, and when he reaches the window he jumps his right arm shielding his face as he plows his shoulder through the glass. He falls to the ground outside and does a forward roll on impact, a bit of glass has damaged his jacket but nothing more. Standing he looks to his left, another car has arrived with a pair of buddies to assist the first there. Standing in the shadow of his building he looks across the way at the closest building he had parked his bike behind it, so he took off at a sprint his power not moving so he was at a slightly above average pace. I have to make it to my bike and get back around the building so I can follow those guys.

Meld followed David to the window, dragging her hostage with her. He was impeding her speed somewhat but she deemed it necessary in order to ensure that their foe upheld his part of the arrangement. Then again, she supposed that he just had to believe that she held a hostage for this to work, she didn't actually have to hold onto the hostage. With that thought she dropped the human on the ground at her feet.
Meld heard the gunshots go off and swore to herself. That either meant that their opponent had fired, hopefully not at Aura, or the cops had entered the building. If it was the former and Aura was seriously injured she knew she would hunt the stranger down and make him suffer horribly before ending his life. If it was the latter then that was just more reason to escape the building hastily and make their way back to their vehicle.
Looking out the window that David presented her with, Meld tried to calculate whether or not it would be safe for her to jump to the ground from here and decided that it wasn't' to far; there were advantages to having metal feet, after all. She couldn't jump unlimited distances because the rest of her legs were still vulnerable to damage, but one day that would change. Meld balanced herself on the window sill and then jumped, landing on her feet like a cat. It was jarring but, after a quick glance over her body to ensure that she had taken no damage from the fall, she seemed to be ok. All tha was left to do now was wait for the others, who she assumed would probably take a little longer to get onto the ground. Hopefully not too long, however, as she did not relish the thought of going up against the cups just at the moment. Although she had no love for cops and little respect for their health and well being, it seemed to be more important to her to get away with the money rather than engage is some violence. Especially if their partner in crime kept trying to insist on no deaths.
Aura heard the shots, but kept moving, she felt nothing strike her Aura so they did not hit her. She breifly wonderd if the man was had not encounterd the police and started a fight with them. She dismissed this idea right away, either way she knew this likely was not over. Smiling at the idea she found the open door and the smashed window and even stepped on the guard as she ran by looking out the window she questioned weather or not she could make the jump. Her eyes scanned the back but found nothing useful to cushion the blow.
With a breif Sigh Aura looked at the only available option. Rubbing her Arm Aura got a running start and dove out the window, surrounded in her Aura. It took Much of the blow and she felt some of her energy leave her from the impact. Her abillity to cushion the impact helped but she bent her knees as she landed anyway as the sudden impact could still hurt. Looking back up at the building she waited for David to make his move. Aura wonderd if he were durable or had another of those ropes, their original exit plan was a minis a window exit.
Looking around she knew the cops had likely enterd the building, more so if they heard the gunshots from before. She gave a breif smile to Meld. Their mission seemed to be a success, the man might follow, she hoped he would. Her eyes kept scanning the area waiting for any sign of an officer looking to investigate. Taking a few steps back from the window, she kept her aura active, knowing police would likely rather shoot at her then try and have her surrender.
David watched as Meld jumped from the building, landing hard on the ground below. "Wow" He said watching her, it seemed as though the impact didn't bug her at all. David heard the gunfire, and wasn't sure what to do. What if that guy lied, what if he had shot aura, or maybe the police came in and opened fire. He didn't know what to do, started questioning everything. "Ok i'll just wait for Aura." He muttered looking back into the building. If she was ok she would be coming soon, but if she was caught or gunned down the police, or that other guy, would be coming instead.
After a few nerve racking moments Aura appeared. He didn't say a word to her, instead watching as she to jumped from the building, and landed in the alley. "Well now they're just showing off." He thought as he peeked over the ledge. He tossed the two bags of money down to them, and stared at the ledge for a moment. After taking a breath he started his climb down. He sat on the ledge and twisted his body so he could grab hold and gang down, after a second of searching he found a ledge with his feet. He repeated the maneuver again, then decided this was far enough, he had to speed it up. He turned his body o nthe ledge so his back was to the wall, and jumped down. As soon as he hit the ground he tucked his body into a roll, no damage done, but it did hurt a little. The escape vehicle was down the alley, waiting.
Arriving in the darkness at his bike he grabs his key from his pocket and sticks it in the ignition. He waits a moment before he starts it, he has to try and time this so that he will reach the three of his adversaries as they are nearing their escape vehicle. He needs to be able to follow it without them knowing it is him. He takes a deep breath in preparation and turns the key.
The Hayabusa kicks on, he insures the light remains off as he pulls out from behind the building and rides back towards the bank. As he reaches the side of the building facing the bank he hugs the buildings neighboring it as he moves to where he can see the back. With his power enhancing his sight he could see much in the night but not the three yet so he slowly creeped along until finally he saw them. They had all made it out of the building, he waited there hoping that they would not notice him. He wanted to be able to stay behind them unnoticed and when they got on a road he would turn on his lights and follow them.
As he sat there he reloaded his gun and checked his current armaments he still had many rounds and darts, sadly he no longer had his knife. There wasn't the time to retrieve it, and it just so happened he really liked that knife and he would have to be a bit more creaive in another encounter with Aura until he could procure another.

Meld felt a sense of relief when both her companions made it to the ground safely and she felt the first thrill of victory rush down her spine. They weren't out of this yet, of course, they still had to make their getaway but they had succeeded in the hardest part of the plan. Now all they had to do was get to their van, hopefully and hopefully not get noticed by the cops. That was, of course, only if their mutant adversary didn't try to do anything funny but she had her hopes that he wouldn't. Its not as if they had really done anything that wrong, after all.
Meld waited for David to begin leading them towards the escape vehicle, since she hadn't arrived with him she didn't know where he had actually parked it. It was the sort of detail that wasn't normally within her department; something that others tended to plan and this was no exception. She was there to make sure that the task got done and any potential obstacles were dealt with in an effective manner. It was up to people like David to deal with the logistics of such an operation, including how, exactly, they planned to make their escape.
Meld kept her eyes constantly scanning the area around her for potential dangers but noticed nothing out of the ordinary, even with her enhanced night vision. They weren't' quite out of this yet but the end was definitely in sight.
They were all out of the building which was a good start, but they would have further to go before they were safe. It would not take the police long to surround the building once they found the guards and vault. She wondered if they had shut the vault's door. It could have bought them a few minutes if they did she thought to herself. Aura waited for David as he had the escape plan all ready, a van if she recalled correctly. Looking around her limited eye site did not let her detect Rangers presence. As She prepared to move with David she looked around all ready able to see the colores lights on the side of the building from the cars. She kept her aura up and active just in case anyone got any ideas when they came around back.
Aura used the few moments of spare time to consider how best to take on her opponent if he followed them. His speed had been impressive, faster then her own. The darts she felt were pointless, however Meld or david could still fall to whatever was inside of them. She had seen dart guns before though mostly with sleeping poisons on the tips, she assumed these were much the same, a tranquilizer. "Think Fluffy will follow?" she asked quietly almost hiding the hope in her voice that he would. With a smile she moved into the alley looking around to see if anyone had taken residence in it while they had made their kindly withdrawal. Aura was happy that for the most part things had gone easier then she thought they would, with a lone exception.
Standing up David dusted himself off, and then picked up the bags of cash. "I have the van parked down here, we need to hurry." He said. He lifted the bags up onto his shoulders and started running down the alley as fast as he could. The alley they were in was run down, but well covered, nobody was around, nobody at all. After passing buy a few dumpsters he made a left turn, and right in front of him was the van.
He opened up the back doors and tossed the bags in, leaving the door open for whoever was going in the back. He then ran around to the front and opened up his own door. "Ok hop in, the sooner we get out of here the sooner we can relax." He said searching his pockets for his keys. Once finding them he started the engine, and waited for the others to get ready.
Having gone over his current armament, everything save a knife ready to go for combat, he looked back at the group his power allowing him to see them and saw them take off down an alley. He rolled forward on his bike to the alley, waiting for them to have been able to move to the edge of his sight before entering it. He couldn't see them.
Dadgummit! He mentally kicks himself for losing the three of them, yet he thinks they couldn't have gone too far in such a time. He moves the bike forward, he will just have to look down every alley and hope they haven't rounded another corner so that he could see them down it. He rides down the alley until he sees a faint red glow and he wonders, could those be tail lights? He rides forward but stops short of the left turn off of this alley. He is assuming this is the escape vehicle, but he will have to find out for sure before he can use force on the vehicle.
He waits there watching the red glow and listening for when it moves or if anyone speaks. He hopes they do so he can know if it is the ones he is after or not. Then he realizes his bike may be close enough to them now they can hear it even over the sounds of their automobile's engine so he kills the engine hopping they missed it and his secrecy here wasn't compromised.

Meld couldn't help but grin at her friend, hearing the hint of hope in Aura's voice at the prospect that their foe might follow them. Personally she hoped that he wouldn't. As much as she enjoyed a good fight and a good challenge, she enjoyed keeping things simple even more. While she would never back down from a good fight, it made much more sense to try and avoid them whenever possible. Life was complicated and dangerous enough without seeking for more. And yet, it was something of an endearing quality in the other woman and she knew that Aura would never do anything to jeopardize the mission.
Meld kept her eyes and ears aware as she made her way carefully towards the van, following the other two. She knew that as dark as it was she currently had the best sight out of all of them and that if their enemy did decide to follow she was the one most likely to catch him. Thus she remained behind the other two, carefully checking behind her, every few steps, not really caring if anyone saw and interpreted her behavior as paranoid.
Just as Meld is preparing to enter the van she hears something and with a gesture to the others for silence, takes a careful look behind her, catching a brief glimpse of light and then nothing. Not entirely certain Meld whispers to the others, careful to keep her voice as low as possible. "I think we may have been followed. I heard what sounded like an engine and saw a brief light but it disappeared. Proceed with caution."
Aura ran down the alley way after David and climbed into the back of the truck decideing to guard their loot in case somone did follow. She was about to close the door, until Meld gave her warning, then she nodded to her and smiled as she closed it behind her Figuring the others would take the front. Some how she did not beleive whoever might be following them was a cop, they tended to inform of their presence which was rather helpful.
Aura could not help but smile as she sat crouched in the back, she watched the door but beleived if somthing were to happon it would likely be after they stopped. Relaxing slightly she still kept her Aura around her. She was glad for Meld's eye, as in the dark it was much better then her own. Aura was glas the mission except for the minor hitch had gone smoothly, the guy could have had his info to had he not tried to play the hero. They were technicly playing the villians after all though that was just sociatys view on things.
David acted completely normal at what Meld said, paranoid that if he acted strange then they would be caught. After all the doors were shut he turned to the group. "It must be that guy from the bank, if it was the cops they would have ran out to stop us by now." He said calmly, with the doors closed and van running his voice could not be heard on the outside, letting them keep whatever element of surprise they had.
"He is probably going to follow us, I don't know if I can lose him in this thing." David said popping the van into gear and flipping the lights on. David slowly and carefully pulled out onto the street, blending in with the cars whizzing around. First he had to get away from the bank, then he could lose the tail. "If we can't lose him we will have to find a place to fight, so be ready."
