The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

David stayed hidden in the stairwell, watching the other two clear the lobby out. He wasn't much of a fighter, but they seemed pretty well versed in it, best not to get in the way. He started to though, when one guard called out, he was worried and started running in, but by the time he got close the guard was knocked out, and bleeding on the floor. "Yeah he'll live" David said looking at the man "Though he will be pissed when he wakes up."
David walked towards the hallway and watched the camera "No, these cameras are closed circuit, I can't hack into them." He said pulling out a pair of wire cutters, "Though I do know the basic schematics of these things, shouldn't be too hard to take it down." He waited for the camera to pan away, and rushed forward, pressing his back to the wall underneath the camera. He reached up with the wire cutter and one of the wires coming out of the camera. With a slight whirr the camera stopped turning and shut down. "Ok clear." He said to the two.
The night was dark, no moon in the sky there were merely stars in the sky. His pupils were super dilated by his power allowing him to see quite well as he approached the bank. He has learned that this bank has data in their servers that he can use to trace the money tied to a criminal organization he has uncovered in the city. As he approached the building he moved to the side of it, he had seen no one and felt confident that no one had seen him as he more than likely could see better than almost anyone in this lack of light.
Looking at the hight of the building's wall he curses that his power is not truly active and that he cannot stop the eye augmentation to empower his arms for throwing. A sense of urgency comes upon him as he knows he has to get up there fast before someone sees him there, this urgency subconsciously shifts his power from his eyes to his torso. As the world is filled with darkness around him he can feel his arms and chest increasing in size and strength. Realizing his power had shifted he pulled out a grapple with a rope attached and lobed it up onto the building. He pulled slightly and it caught on something, there was a slight metal sound and he assumed it had caught something secure. He took a good hold of the rope and began to pull himself up, his empowered torso made climbing a breeze.
Reaching the top he pulled himself up onto the roof and then reeled in the rope, he didn't want anyone seeing it and getting suspicious. Having the first part of the task accomplished he pulled out one of his hand guns, ejected the mag to check that it was loaded with tranq darts, and then loaded it back in. Following that he repeated the process with his other hand gun. That done he took a look around the roof to check and make sure there was no one up here with him. As he searched he noticed the lock had been pulverized, he was not the only person breaking in this night and more than likely they had more insidious designs than he.
Drawing his pistol from under his left arm he pushed open the door and then slowly and quietly made his way in and traveled down the hall. He knew the way to the server room but that may have to wait, stopping a true crime was more important than committing one to stop others. As he walked his power returned to enhancing his night vision, super dilating his eyes. Reaching the stairs he begins his decent, his gun at the ready. He could have sworn he had heard someone yelling, that must mean the thieves are still here.
Approaching the door to the lobby he pressed his back against the wall to the left of the door, right if you are looking at the door. Holding his pistol in his right hand he reached across his chest with his left and placed it on the door knob. He quietly turned the knob and opened the door. He then knelt and began to rotate to peer out the now half opened door, his gun rounding the turn and pointing out into the lobby.

Meld mentally cringed at the yells the two guards let out but she knew there was nothing that could be done about that now except hope that either there no other guards close enough to hear of, if there were, those guards were less than completely observant. However, just because things had gone well so far didn't mean that she let up any vigilance, keeping her eyes and ears open for anything that seemed unusual or out of place, knowing that situations had the potential to turn on a dime.
Meld nodded her appreciation at David as he cut the wire to the security cameras, choosing to maintain her silence. Carefully she proceeded further into the lobby, scanning the area in front of her for movement, her flesh melded eye piercing the darkness easily. She payed less attention to what was going on behind her since potential threats were more likely to come from areas they had not yet entered and she didn't immediately notice the door behind her open. Meld kept to the shadows next to the wall as she crept forward but saw not other threats. Their greatest challenge, she believed, would be as they approached the vault. It was sur to be the most heavily guarded area of the bank.
Meld halted at the far end of the lobby, turning to speak to her two partners in crime about what the plan was before entering. It was only then, by chance, that she noticed the open door with a man crouched within and a gun pointed. Meld yelled out a warning and dived to the ground, rolling out of the way from the trajectory of any bullets that should be fired out of the gun. He definately didn't look to be one of th guards.
Aura watched as he clipped the camera, it was good and she moved forward still keeping low, pretty sure their would be atleast another set of guards. It was then Meld yelled out a warning. Aura Simply turned around as her Aura began to appear around her entire body as she managed to pick the man out at the door after a few secounds. Aura knew her Aura could take a number of shots against it and that made her the best to encounter whoever their guest was.
The yelling and the like meant they were likely heard already so she kept her voice calm as she spoke. She assumed it was a guard for the bank they had missed. "Stand down and no harm will come to you" She said, the Pink aura hammer still around her hand, her other hand formed a blade comming several inches from her wrist. Both objects then flowed back into her Aura, it was a display, saying im dangerous. She folded her Arms below her chest, a smile on her face, she hoped he would stay and join them for a dance. She kept watching the door, but spoke to meld and david. "Either if you any good with a gun?" she asked considering the two she now had on her.
David peeked down the hall, it was just as he imagined from the blueprints. The hall was about twenty feet long, with a set of about five steps down. David could make out the top of the vault from where he was, and a camera watching it. He moved quietly to the steps, that way he could completely see the vault, but he was interrupted by Meld's warning.
He pushed his body against the wall and walked back towards them. "I do know how to use one, but I need to work on the vault." He said squinting in the darkness, trying to make out whoever was back there. He couldn't see anything, and decided to keep himself hidden from view.
"If he was from the security office then he has probably already called for help, which means I need to quickly do this. Keep whoever it is trying to stop us busy, I will break into the vault." He said pulling his duffel bag closer to his chest. "Remember, try not to kill him, thieves not murderers." He said as he turned and ran back towards the vault, he didn't care if the camera saw him now, they were already caught.
The Ranger stayed low with his gun pointed out into the lobby as he watched two women in the lobby. Before he could observe much one of them had spotted him, yelled, and then dove out of the way. The other, he noticed, began to glow with a pink aura around her. She formed and retracted a blade and hammer out of the aura and addressed him. "Stand down and no harm will come to you"
He slowly raised himself to a stand as he pushed the door open wider with his left hand, his gun now aimed at the glowing girl. "No harm to me, eh?" He reached into his jacket with his left hand and pulled out a tan beret, the beret worn by the US Army Rangers. He placed it on his head, hoping that they would recognize it's significance, which he hoped would make them uneasy giving him a slight mental edge.
He then stood in the lobby both hands now on his pistol, since it was loaded with tranq darts he could easily shoot first and ask questions later. Knowing this he fires a dart at the girl. Odd, it was repelled. He fires another dart, the same result. He knew he needed to close distance and engage in hand-to-hand but she made reference to using a gun so he would have to be creative.
He clicked a switch on the side of his gun's grip with his left hand, suddenly a bright light shot forth from a flashlight mounted under the barrel. As the light shined right in the girls face his power shifted from his eyes which no longer needed the enhancement to his legs and he sprang forward charging the girl at slightly ahead of Olympic speed. Within moments he was upon her and he dropped into a slide kick aimed at her feet to try and knock her down. His hand on the gun ready to fire shoould the other girl come into view.

"I have no experience with firearms," Meld answered Aura. She had never needed them in the past, given her mutation and so had never bothered to learn. Meld crouched from her position near the wall, first focusing her attention on Aura and the stranger and then shifting to David. She swore as David ran directly under the view of a camera, realizing that with his natural vision he likely couldn't see the stranger well enough from his distance to realize that he wasn't a guard. That meant that it probably wouldn't take long for other guards to appear and not much longer after that for the cops to arrive.
"More guards and cops are probably on their way," Meld informed the others. It appeared as if Aura had the stranger in hand and it was probably a good thing, although more than a little surprising, that the gun apparently didn't shoot actual bullets although she didn't know what was actually in the darts, it was always possible the results of a hit could be just as bad if not worse.
Meld ran after David, towards the vault, knowing that there would be other guards and that David would most likely need her protection while he worked. She spotted two guards at the end of the corridor, both of which started firing upon seeing the pair of them. "Duck!" Meld yelled as she herself jumped to the floor. She sprang back to her feet and continued running towards them, knowing she couldn't' do anything until she got in close. A bullet ricocheted off of her metal hand just as she made it to the two of them. Meld grabbed one of the guards and swung him around, striking the other guard and causing the second guard to drop his weapon.
Aura had no idea what the berret meant, the man's hat was ugly in her opinion. So she was to hold the line was she, that was jusr fine with her. she had wanted a fight. She blinked a few times as David ran, then smiled as the darts bounced away. "You will not stop us from out intentions, i ask you one more time stand down She said her voice having grown cold. She was unsure what they were, but as far as she could tell, they had done nothing. Aura smiled even as the man's light turned on, she blinked a few times, but the thing that suprised Aura the most was the sudden burst of speed the man got. She wonderd if his power came from the light briefly. She was fast to and had been hoping for close up combat, still his slide hit, knocking her forward, as he Did, blades formed on both of Aura Hands and she brought them down in a scissor like motion Aiming for his chest, her natural fighting urge reasoned with her. David had said to try, and trying was not always successful.
As she landed crouched and looking back she smiled. "I was hoping you would choose to dance" She said, pulling the silk ribben from her hair and let it fall to the ground her brown hair messily framing her face. The hammer around her hand, flowed back into her hand and then formed a spinning blade over her knuckels much like a saw. His speed would be an issue, but all she would need wa sone lucky shot and if he was fleash and blood he would fall. Aura did wonder how they planned to escape once this happoned, maybe the sewer system would have to be used. Aura always enjoyed fights she wa sin , even ones she lost, they were a reward a way of felling better and stronger, the pain in her head went away. She was glad Meld had gone with David, she was fairly sure the boy could not defend himself, or why would he need them.
David ran down the hall, and at the last second saw the guards. Without a word he followed Meld's advice and dove to the ground, keeping his head to the ground. The bullets whizzed over his head, and he heard a few make contact, luckily they only hit Meld's metallic limbs. David waited till the commotion stopped, and looked up to see Meld standing over the two. "Thanks." He said as he stood back up and walked to the large vault doors.
He inspected the electric console used to open it, luckily it wasn't damaged in the commotion. He placed the duffel bag down and pulled out a screw driver. He carefully removed the screws to the front of the console, once finished he removed the front, revealing a tang of wires. After carefully picking a few he stripped it and pulled out his laptop and a long wire. He plugged one end into the laptop, and the other end was split into more wires. After a quick moment of combining the wires he started his typing. "I just need to find the right code to break in, it'll take a moment." He told meld as he sat on the ground, the laptop on his lap.
His slide kick landed knocking her off her feet forcing her forward. As she went forward Ranger saw two blades formed and reached with his left arm as fast as he could for his combat knife. The knife rests on his collarbone with the handle down over his pectoral on the left side so he drew it out and pulled his arm back catching the blades.
His momentum ending he stood and turned his knife in his left hand and pistol with the flashlight in the other. He held the pistol aimed at the girl so that she remained illuminated, his left arm under his right wrist helping to keep his arm steady. acess
"I was hoping you would choose to dance"
"I never miss a chance to two-step." He watched as one of her weapons changed into a spinning blade, he would have to be mindful of that it could easily spell disaster. He still needed to assess her skill so he wouldn't be killed by a surprise. He fired a few more darts, then ran to his left his power still enhancing his speed. He ran in an arc and approached a wall, he jumped and kicked off of it for a fast direction change. Now running towards the girl he fired several more darts as he approached, his knife raised to counter the spinning blades and hopefully anything else she threw at him.

"I'll do my best to buy you the time you need," Meld told David, dodging as one of the guards got himself up off the floor and attempted to punch her. Meld attempted to kick the guard who had swung at her but he managed to block the blow. The second guard also made his way to his feet and got behind her, striking her across the back. Had she been able to feel pain it likely would have slowed her down, however she barely felt hit. It seemed these guards were better trained than the ones in the rest of the bank.
Meld growled and spun around, kicking him in the head, causing the guard to crumble to the floor. She spun back to face the first one just in time to see that he had pulled out a police baton that was quickly making its way towards her skull. She managed to block it with her metal hand, resulting in a loud clang and kicked him in the shin in retaliation. Finally having the upper hand Meld struck him in the side of the head and watched with satisfaction as he too crumbled to the floor.
"I hope you work fast," Meld told David, slightly out of breath from her fight. She thought she heard sirens but hoped she was wrong.
"your no guard, why fight us?" she asked as one thing was very clear, he was no guard, she stood up, still smiling, her goal was just to buy time, winning was not needed here. She batted away the darts, which did not hold the strength needed to do much to her Aura, but his speed atvantage was aprrent as Aura almost lost track of him when he moved. Then it dawned on Aura, he was not human either, their was no way a human could move that fast. Still Human or not he was a current threat to be delt with. She would have bee more scared of the gun, had it had actual bullets, those could do harm after a dozen or so shots she thought, it had beena while since she tested the theory.
Several more darts struck her sheild, but batting them away was easier then dealing with bullets. They were getting anoying though, She emt his charge with one of her own, throwing a punch with the spinning blade she had made around her fist, at the saem time, she slashed with her other hand aiming for the arm holding the gun, if she could disarm him, she would be better off. Aura was kinda hoping the fight could last but knew in any case it would be very short, after all the police were already on their way. "you'l have to do better then that, or leave us and get what you came for" she said enjoying the fight but keeping mindful of the time she had. She was assuming he was after somthing himself as he was no guard and that meant he likely was not suppose to be thare.
David kept typing away at the computer, trying to ignore the commotion going on behind him, and hoping the guards wouldn't decide to turn and give him a swift kick to the head. He knew he was safe though when he saw one of the guards collapse next to him.
"No Problem Meld." He said enthusiastically as a neared completion. His fingers ran across the keyboards super fast, typing as if it was just instinct. He pushed the knowledge of a time limit out of his head, true the alarm had been cut, but the guards would find another way. It would by them precious time, time that David had to capitalize on. "Aaaand done." He said pressing the last key, with that the door responded, giving a loud clank to signify the locks releasing. David closed his laptop, disconnected it, and placed it back in the bag.
"Time to get payed." He said with a big excited grin. He grabbed the door and pulled it open slowly, revealing the inside, filled with cash. David bolted in like a kid at a candy store. He placed the bag on a table and started tossing bundles of cash inside. "Lets grab all we can."
As he approached he saw her raise her weapons and punch at him with the spinning blade while simultaneously attacking his gun arm most likely in an attempt to disarm him, a quick sidestep followed by a a turn and step forward and he was behind her.
He pulled his right arm back dropping his pistol, the light still on as it fell, and sliding his knife into it's holster. As he pulled his arm back his power moved from his legs to his torso increasing it in size and strength. But to not take an incredibly long time and give her time to move to much he threw a right hook with a greater than normal human strength but not his max. His left hand also having pulled a flashbang from his pack.
"Well I came here with the intent to get information to stop future crimes, but now I am working to stop a crime already in progress."

Meld stood anxiously as David finished opening the vault with his computer. Finally opened she ran into the vault, silently amazed at the wealth hidden within. She spent only the barest movement marveling, however, before proceeding to stuff as much money into her backpack as would fit. "You're a good man David," she said grinning. It was everything she had hoped it would be and now they just had to worry about getting out of her in one piece.
Meld listened carefully, now positive that she heard the sound of approaching sirens. "I believe that's are que to leave," she said, standing. "None of us want the cops involved." She ran back out into the lobby, seeing the fight between Aura and the stranger still taking place. "We got what we came for. Its time to get out of here now." She prepared to get herself involved in the fight in case her friend was not able to disengage herself.
