The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Jaxon had watched the small group disband after one of the large red men joined, some moving to the dance floor, some moving towards the refreshments. Sipping her drink as she turned back to the group of businessmen, tuning into their conversation, looking for an opportunity to excuse herself so that she could move closer to the ones near the ,when the red man approached and spoke to her.
Slightly startled, her eyes widened, tracking up. She hadn’t realized quite how large he was. Even in her heels, she was quite a bit shorter than him, nearly a foot shorter in fact. Glancing back to where she had been looking previously, the first one she had seen was still there, opening a package of some kind. Returning her focus to the group at hand she was surprised at what she found. His words, and the fact that he was well dressed with some manners it seemed, worked on the group of men who had been silently regarding him as an interloper, and they smiled if a bit nervously. Nodding to the group and handing her drink off to a passing waiter, she allowed her mouth to quirk upwards in humor. This man was a smooth operator in spite of his appearance.
Quirking an eyebrow with a smirk, she turned and offered her hand allowing him to lead her where he wished, and her name. Though she suspected almost everyone here knew it, at least the last portion, if not the face it went with. “Jaxon Kane. I don’t usually allow myself to be stolen, but I think I can make an exception.” Glancing back at the business men who had returned to their fascinating conversation of stock effects and buying policies, she laughed lightly. “I think your flattery is working. I would like to dance, if you don’t mind me asking questions at the same time… I find myself curious about you.” Raising one shoulder in a saucy shrug, she added, “Is that alright?”
Sara smirked at the little drakeling, Demi. The little guy wasn’t that smart, but there was something about the pet Sara liked.
She was just about to climb the stairs when a pair of big red arms scooped her up into a, ‘Kitty can’t breath’, hug. She felt her arm press into her side and her other sort of tapped on the big shoulder connected to one of the big arm. Then she could feel herself suck in air.
“Sara! I thought you died.”
“Really?” Sara wasn’t sure how to take what Abyss had said. The fleshy area of her nose darkened.
“If you didn’t want to come back that’s one thing but you could have let us know you were alive.”
“I thought Isabel or Amp would tell you.” She bit lightly on her lower lip. Still taken back by the information. “I’m sorry. I didn’t think I’d been there long enough for it to matter either. I only visited.”

Leila laughed softly at Aura, "I see, well in my case, I've been to dozens of parties like this. It's one of the bests though, truthfully." she said, then turned to Nunally. "Hello, it's nice to meet you." she said. She turned her attention back to Aura, to find that she seemed rather tense. "Don't worry about the flashes, they'll stop once they get enough shots of you." she said, a joking grin on her face. Leila turned around slightly, and saw that Sam was now talking to Arielle, should she join them?
Leila decided not too, but when she saw that Abyss and Sam looked as if they'd tear each other apart, she decided joinning them may be a good idea. "I'll catch you later?" she said to Aura, then darted off towards Sam, Abyss and the others. When she reached Arielle, she raised an eyebrow at her. "What's going on?" she asked in a whisper, glancing at Sam, and then at her Partner in crime. Hopefully he knew she was a spy, or else he'd have problems with her acting friendly with these Xs.
But then Ghost simply tugged Sam away, and Leila lost it. Tears actually started to form in her eyes as she spun around, sprinting towards the entrance. Once she'd gotten far enough from the actual building, she sat down on the grass and put her head in her hands, finally letting the sobs out of her system. Stupid, stupid X-Men.

“Um… maybe we should put a hold on that dance for a bit,” Shin muttered as Leila dashed off. The party was getting wilder and wilder. First it was strange pointy-eared cool guys with dragons on their shoulders, and now this. Sam’s girlfriend did not look amused. “Excuse me for a moment,” he said to Arielle, lowering his mask and darting over to the table Sam and Ghost were at. His hands dropped down to brace himself as he leaned in to tell Sam the news.
“Leila ran off! Maybe you should go catch up with her? She didn’t look happy…” His voice changed tone as he pulled up a chair and sat down. “Hey, Ghost.” He waggled the mask-on-a-stick, tapping it against his knee. His eyes wandered back to Arielle and Hymn, and he stood up again in a hurry, snagging a drink and a plate of tiny sandwiches from the table. “Save me a dance for later, okay?” Shin said to Ghost before darting off.
~*~
Popping back into the group, Shin handed Arielle the drink with a smile. “Since you said you were hungry.” And maybe the other girl would want a sandwich too? He waited for her to finish her talk with Mr. Valentine Jupiter before offering both girls food.
Aura was comforted a bit to here the flashes would stop at some point. "Just hard not to stab them" she commented of the photographer's. She did her best to offer back a smile at Leila's joke. "See you" She said kind of disappointed Leila would be going, but that was fine. Still her eyes followed leila curiously. She was a bit surprised when she spotted Arrielle as the person leila had gone talk to. The Preachy lady looked good, though Aura did not care much for the crown. Running a hand down the long braid that emerged from the bun in her hair she turned back to look at Nunally. The Girls eye really did fascinate her though she made sure not to look to close as not to be rude.
Catching movement out of the courner of her eye, she looked up in time to See Leila sprint across the room, in a pace much faster then Aura would have been capable of. She was unsure if she should follow her or let her be alone and took just a few moments to debate it before looking back at her new acquaintances. "I will be back..." She said as she made her way to the Entrence as well, though at a brisk walk. As she emerged from the building she was just able to make out whare Leila had gone. For a moment the flashes of light vanished and Aura just stood there watching. Almost tripping as she walked she made her way over to leila. Aura had no idea what was wrong but was certainly strange to see the woman cry.
Aura Sat Down a few feet from leila and tried her best to comfort her by offering a hug. "What's wrong? Did those x-men do somthing mean to you?" Aura asked carefully, hoping not to intrude to far into Leila's business but still concerned that the best friend she had was so upset.
Ghost grabbed a drink with Sam and smoothed her skirt under her thighs as she sat her bum on one of the lovely chairs. As soon as Sam made it into his chair, Shin came trotting over. Leila? She scanned the crowd. It was true, she wasn't there anymore. Ghost half smiled and looked down into her drink. "I don't need a babysitter, Sam." but apparently Leila did. She gave Sam brave eyes. "Go to her." If she had to tell him one more time, she might have to do something drastic to convince him she wasn't a Valentine leper.
Sam left. Shin hesitated but seemed to realize she was fine and blundered away for food and to keep his date company.
So... this was fine too. She sipped at her drink and made sure to position it exactly over the initial ring of condensation so that it wouldn't leave an extra mark. Couples were starting to dance now. She leaned into her elbow and watched. She wasn't a wall flower. She was a table decoration. But what else was she supposed to do? Run out and dance with herself? She wasn't even sure she was much of a dancer to begin with.
Instead she diverted her eyes to a much more interesting scene: long, lean, lanky ladies were all spilling over each other. There seemed to be a couch and a red man under there somewhere, but honestly the jiggling and giggling was a bit distracting.
Maybe she should go home and deposit that check? Naw. That might be running away. And she wasn't running away from a little ol' party. Nope. Not this one. She was... uhm... sitting. And making the most of that.
>>>"I am Kasumi Thank you so much." >>>"You may call me Peter Nenroa. Im a mutant of rather peculiar talents."
Someone else, Peter he called himself, came over to talk to Kasumi. He started doing a rather alarming experiment that was the opposite of professor Moody's dark arts demonstration in which he first made a spider dance then killed it. This newcomer's demonstration was, if anything, more grotesque in the reverse order.
The illusionist shuddered a little on the inside, but tried to nod politely. Since the two seemed more interested in talking to each other though, she was free to let her own attention wander back to the Valentine's revelers down below with a faint tingle in her spine that felt like corpse spiders crawling up her back. Some people made flashy entrances, some slunk in trying to avoid the cameras, and others just plain stuck out like seven red thumbs from a fingerless glove, a cougar in a flock of penguins, or a silver haired and pointy eared needle with a dress coat and frilly shirt from centuries ago that came complete with its own shoulder dragon in a stack of relatively normal looking hay pieces.
Katrina was elated to see them, and tried waving. Leila did spot their little balcony group and earned a little wave. She wanted to rush down and say hi to everyone all at the same time, but there were more people coming in, and everyone was split off from each other in different areas of the room. The illusionist wished she could split herself into multiples so she could get hugs form everyone all at the same time.
The big group of people she recognized kept growing. First the flashy ice swan indicated the arrival of a familiar flashy ice mutant from the mansion. Then he was joined by Ghost, then Kaz. Soon two people in masks joined them, and the mansion water manipulator whose face was familiar, but whose name the young illusionist couldn't remember, and finally one of the Abyss brothers.
Every group, in fact, seemed to include one of the Abyss brothers. Abyss was talking to Were. Abyss was dancing with a pretty and important looking girl. Abyss was playing Will-It-Jiggle first with the jell-o table, then with a couch full of girls. She was reminded of the present she had been working on for him that would help her tell them apart. Abyss was having a discussion with some brainiac looking wallflowers. Yet another Abyss was sitting by himself morosely smoking... smoking?!
That would never do.
Katrina scrunched up her face. Smoking was bad for you! She would go down and tell him, but by the time she got down there, the crowds would have shifted and he could disappear or she would lose track of him amidst all the other matching thumbs in the haystack down there. Option two was to send him a message. The idea came from Cold Steel's swan display. If that could soar over the crowd, then a little illusion wouldn't be out of place.
Katrina held out her hands in a cup that probably only herself and Calley could see. Within it she imagined a tiny pure white origami swan with flat paper wings. It flapped its wings once experimentally, then the thirteen year old dropped it off the edge of the balcony so it could fly over to the far side of the room and do her scolding for her. Approximately half a second after she uncupped her hands Katrina reeled and grabbed the railing for support. The paper swan fizzled out into nothingness almost before it had left her fingers. The illusionist glanced around at her fellow balcony members to see if they had noticed what was happening. Peter the spidercorpsemancer was busy asking Kasumi to dance. It was hard to tell if Calley was paying attention. With his attention span he could have been paying acute attention to a hundred things or nothing at all.
What had happened? It was such a tiny illusion, yet it had drained so much energy so quickly. Katrina cupped her hands again and inspected them. She made a dropping motion by separating them. Between her hands she the throngs of people kept mixing and mingling, shuffling themselves again and again. That was a lot of people. A lot of people meant a very very lot of people to be affecting with her illusion, no matter how small it had been.
Did that mean she had to walk all the way down there after all? If only she could make it so only one person could see the illusion, maybe it wouldn't be so draining. It couldn't hurt to try. Or at least, the worst that would probably happen is that she'd faint.
This time Katrina stepped back slightly from the balcony. If she was going to be fainting, she didn't want to be falling over the railing. She cupped her hands again and focused as hard as she could. Instead of imagining that there was a swan in her hands, she started by pretending the crowd wasn't there. She didn't try to make them invisible to everyone's eyes, but more like they were invisible to her brain. She focused on the hulking saturnine form down below, making him the only person in her minds' eye. Then she tried again. Again the paper swan appeared in her hands, fluttering in anticipation.
This time, even if Calley, Kasumi, or Peter were looking, they should still see empty hands. For a second time she let go of the swan. It fell, and fluttered, and flew. It flickered once, when someone laughed particularly loudly and the young illusionist was distracted. The noises of the party kept trying to tear the little paper bird apart, but the little blonde in the pink frill dress renewed her focus, pushing thoughts of everyone but Abyss out of her head. Two flickers later the swan circled the saturnine Abyss brother and landed on his sleeve. In a soft voice that mimicked Katrina's own it stated, “You shouldn't smoke!” And with that it poofed out of existence in its own personal little smoke cloud.
Back on the balcony, Katrina snapped back to attention. She was now sitting on the floor. If anyone had been poking at her, she wouldn't have noticed until just then.
Just then, a head poked over the top of the railing. Shiny black eyes like miniature voids appeared as Koga climbed over the railing like an aspiring young Romeo, complete with shoes tied together and thrown over his shoulder.
“Hi Guysss, Happy Valentines’.”
Katrina blinked. Yes, she was back up on the balcony again and not fluttering her way single mindedly toward Abyss any longer. This here, talking to her, was Koga: a completely different person. She managed a surprised smile.

The night went from fun to bad, right after him and Ghost sat down at the table Shin stopped over to give a heads up about Leila running out crying. Slapping his head hard he didn’t think she would have got this upset but after Ghost gave him the go ahead to follow her Sam shot Ghost a apologetic look and took off running.
He nudged people aside as he fought his way through the crowds of people, as they seemed more and more crowded one after another. ‘This is defiantly a safety hazard…’ thought Sam as he managed to squeeze himself through another large mutant in red and some one who was on that television show he never watched. “Sorry,” Sam called back to them as he shot between them.
Once outside Sam was again bombarded with flashes, “excuse me sir, can you tell us who is there?” “Sir, where is your date?” “Sir what’s your name?” Sam covered his eyes as he was blinded, he couldn’t see a damn thing. He didn’t want to do this to the public because it would have botched his secret identity but Leila was far more important.
It took a second but his body quickly froze up in ice and Sam jumped into the air and formed his ice slide, the flashes of the camera could be seen as he skated off he spotted her and the girl from the gas station that was so egger for a fight, “Do they know each other?” Sam asked to himself as he circled and lowered his slide so he would land in front of Leila on the grass.
“Really?” Sam asked slightly mad at Leila for making such a big deal about this, “Your really this upset?” Sam asked again as he shot a glance over to Aura meaning ‘it’s time you leave’ but he was sure that the look didn’t come off as nearly as threatening as he wanted it to. He needed her to look at him and listen to him so he could explain the situation.

It was a very big crowd that had descended upon the Valentine's Eve Ball, put on by the city's largest, and likely only, mutant and human rights organization in the city. There seemed to be thousands upon thousands. Certainly the entire city must have been crammed into that tiny ten story building. Tiny, of course, only in comparison to the surrounding buildings that so many New Yorkers took for granted. Ten stories still seemed impossibly tall to Sebastian.
The unicorn man had overheard some of the other Sanctuary residents planning to come to the party, and he had decided that it might be a good opportunity to be social for once. So, he had managed to navigate his way through the US postal system to have a case full of his old clothing shipped over from storage in London. It had arrived in three days. Sebastian hadn't believed her when Lisa had told him (with a magiacally amplified voice that rang out through the Sanctuary) that his package had arrived, but there it was, his old truck with his old clothing tucked inside.
And here he was. A unicorn man in an old fashioned suit, smelling a little bit like mothballs, trying to make his way through a crowd larger than the entire population of most towns he had ever lived in, with the exception perhaps of London.
As he squeezed his way past a crowd of photographers snapping pictures at a man on an ice slide, he was already beginning to think that it might have been a mistake to come here. He hardly knew any of the people, and he felt a little out of place, even amidst the mutant population. At least one other person looked about as out of date as he was feeling, which made him feel a little better. Then, sitting by one of the tables by herself, he spotted a familiar face. It was much cleaner than the last time he had seen it, but still just as beautiful.
Sebastian slowly made his way over to the white haired sylph sitting abandoned off to the side. It seemed to take an eternity to thread through the crowd, which was rather a long relative time for an immortal with as much patience as Sebastian. Finally he reached her side.
The white haired immortal bowed and tipped his top hat to the lady, “Good evening.”
Isabel honestly couldn't remember all the details concerning how she'd ended up in her current situation. The only bits of information that her mind had deemed worthy of retaining was that she was in a limo, on her way to some big party being held for both humans and mutants, and that she was going with Bacchus. Oh, and there was the issue of the little bet they'd ended up making with each other, which may or may not have been the deciding factor which got them to attend the party in the first place. While Isabel had bet that Bacchus couldn't keep his clothes on for the duration of the party, he had bet that she'd be unable to go without stabbing someone until the night had ended. As in their first contest, the prize for the winner had been left undisclosed. If there was a winner, that is. A tie breaker hadn't been discussed, either. She just knew she didn't trust him when it came to prizes based on her past experience. She also knew she couldn't remember why she'd made a bet with him in the first place. She really should have learned her lesson.
Lisa had been kind enough to call a limo for the pair, so that neither of them would have the need to drive there or back. It was probably a wise decision on the Secretary's part, seeing as it was unlikely that Isabel would get behind the wheel of a car and most already knew of Bacchus' fondness for drinking. Both of them also had a fairly nasty temper and it would be all too easy to turn the steering wheel in the direction of someone that had gotten on their bad side. Bacchus would most likely be unable to remove any clothing while driving, and no one had bet Isabel that she couldn't run anyone over during or after the party, so they wouldn't exactly be breaking the rules they'd set for themselves.
As for dressing properly, Isabel didn't particularly expect that her companion for the night would go to any lengths to dress up. For herself, however, she had managed to find an outfit in her closet that she'd bought who knows how long ago. Nothing fancy, just a short green dress with some black trim at the top, and matching green kitten heels. She'd decided against her usual pigtails and instead had pulled half of her hair into a ponytail, leaving the other half to hang loose, a smaller than usual bow tying the hair together.
She didn't know exactly where this party was, but the car ride wasn't very long. When the door was opened for her, she was nearly blinded by the flashes of the cameras that were being set off by reporters on either side of a carpet leading to the doors. Shading her eyes with one hand, she climbed out of her seat and onto the carpet, doing her best to ignore the increasingly pressing questions shouted at her by the numerous news reporters. A few of them looked reasonably uneasy at the site of her, considering what she'd done to a few of the cameramen and reporters from local news stations, though the majority looked excited at the prospect of getting some information from a rumored cop killer. They were beginning to annoy her right away, though she made sure to remind herself to behave. Rather than taking her usual course of action, she settled for balling her hands into fists at her side, only venturing a few steps from the car in order to wait for Bacchus to join her.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Venus when offered a ladies hand could be counter on to kiss it, and so his lips lightly pressed on the back of her hand. He then grasped it gently as most things must be done with the fragile and lead the woman towards the dance floor speaking as they went.
“My pleasure, Miss Jaxon Kane, if you can keep up with me dancing, and ask questions then feel free, if you can’t, well I am sure there will be time to chat after wards. May I ask what it is that has you curious at the moment?” He flirted lightly with his fingers as his conversation momentarily was bound by query’s. His fingers lightly caressed the palm and side of her hand. “So, Miss Jaxon my I assume you know how to waltz?” the current music was a mischievous tune that would work very well with the waltz, it seemed the one in charge of music had the idea to play a bit of everything, if she didn’t waltz perhaps they would have to wait for a tango?
________________________ Abyss replied with a bit of surprise that he hadn’t been informed.
“Yes really, our people took quite a beating in that tragedy, I had assumed the worse, not for lack of faith but for lack of proof otherwise. And No, Neither Amp nor Isabel talk much about it and quite honestly I understand.” He tried to understand. “ No, You stood with us when we needed you, Visit or not, your efforts were not wasted on me. You are of course welcome back anytime you like.” He finally fully released her. “ I didn’t squish you too much did I?” He gestured to the flight of stairs that Were was heading for. “ Shall we? ------------------ (waiting for Hymn before I go much further with Jup) Jupiter looked to Hymn curiously wondering what exactly was going on behind that mask of hers. When yet more Drama occurred…maybe he should have waited until the night was through with the Icee, perhaps then he would have been in a bad enough mood to take his last swing. -------------------- Mercury Continued with his game and was having a quite good time, the females were odd enough to appreciate his game and still stick around, he figured it must have been the cake he gave them…he should give people cake more often. He thumped the couch one more time and maybe a bit too hard. The back of the couch fell to pieces and the group landed in a giggling pile. -------------------
Saturn watched a stage as techies checked and rechecked equipment, at least they weren’t planning on letting the speakers do all the work tonight. He took a final puff off of his cig when a very peculiar thing happened He was practicing making smoke rings when a swan circled and then landed on him…it made sense only a moment later when the little blondes voice chided his bad habits. He turned around and began to scan the room for points that could have seen him smoking. He looked every where but couldn’t find her, so he stuck his tongue out to the general area and then lit up a second cig. Maybe it’d be enough to get the little one to come and bug him about it in person. --- Mars had finally worked him self away from the brain trust that had formed in favor of lighter company. He walked slowly through the room and looked for anyone of interest to converse with Pluto smirked at the gibe and against his better judgment took the hit; it wasn’t that he couldn’t avoid dying from the alcohol content; it just hit him in a very different way. He smirked at Charge. “I might just need that bit of courage. “ You should call me tuxedo mask of course.” It was the one that he recognized after all. He was thankful that he gave her the mask, she was being a good sport and he was going to die in the morning, he two saving graces were that he went with it and decided to mimic the material that he used on her costume and the second was the fact that you wouldn’t recognize her, even if you knew her.
He got out of the Car and then attempted to help her out of the car, She hadn’t taken his hand at first and then only reluctantly did so when she was getting out of the car in that skirt. Then she began to pose….Hilarious Jackpot! Even….and winning this war was now with him on the side with low casualties… he took it up a notch by posing right next to her and in ways that once the clothes were see through on film, might very well be obscene, but with the clothes on seemed merely innocent. He was so going to wake up dead…now time to make sure she had a good time. Drinks were on the agenda.
He tilted his head toward Charge and whispered. “If you really want to I will match you drink for drink here tonight, I start to become quite silly when I get drunk though. You have been warned.” He smiled widely as he saw the limo in front of them was Isabel and that new guy. what was his name again? Tuxedo Mask posed one last time with Sailor Venus. His right arm was holding up the V for victory his other hand may have been around her waist pointing suspiciously toward more feminine areas. She had her right hand down low and her left was up in victory as well. little did she know she was celebrating Pluto's victory.

Restriction on his personality was something Bacchus never liked to express, restriction on his body is even worse. The bet of the night was no clothes ripping and no going naked, this was going to be a long night. But misery loves company and that is exactly what he has, Isabel was banned from stabbing just like he was banned from going all-natural. One thing for sure Bacchus was going to win this bet, he was a gabbling man and hated to loose, maybe he’ll get another kiss out of it, Bacchus grinned at that thought.
Lisa was one the only person at the Sanctuary that truly scared him, he didn’t know why but she was far worse from everyone else there. One thing she was good at was spoiling Isabel and in turns him. He never rode in a Limo before and he had to try most things once, like wearing a tuxedo and going to a ball. ‘What is a ball anyways?’ wondered Bacchus as he ran his fingers over his yo-yo he received only recently.
The yo-yo had only been used once and it was on a police officer who tried to be a hero and ended up dying because of it, Bacchus first did the trick ‘walk the dog’ which wrapped the yo-yo string right around his neck from there Bacchus used his power and expanded the string which cut the circulation off to the officers neck and from there it was like the forth of July. The second Bacchus let go of the yo-yo the blood rushed back to his head and shot out of the eyes, ears nose and mouth. Granted it wasn’t as pretty as brains blowing out the back of some ones head but it was far less messy.
Once they arrived at the ball’s ‘red carpet’ Bacchus followed Isabel out of the car only after putting some darkened sunglasses on which added to his gear for the night. A dress tux with some extra tailored in pockets which contained, his yo-yo, a Zippo lighter, a switch blade, and two flasks, one with vodka, the other with whiskey. Placing his hand on his belt that was covered by his clothing he smiled, the contents of his secret belt flask didn’t leak out. ‘Good, think this night might get better’ thought Bacchus as he stepped next to Isabel.
Walking to the front doors was rather interesting, cameras flashed as the photographers weren’t sure to question or run. ‘The Naked Giant on a date with the police slayer’ would be an interesting photo to have but still he was more focused on egging Isabel to kill somebody. “You fine to night Isabel, you didn’t have to look this good just for me!” Grinning to the photographers he put his hand up in the air to signify that he was number one and from there he spun Isabel into his arms and then kissed her dead center on the lips.
When he pulled away he smiled and said, “To bad you can’t stab anyone, this many people and with the pictures of you and me in the paper tomorrow kissing, front page, ‘Naked Giant and Cop killer’ cutest couple?” Bacchus laughed as he opened the doors for Isabel to enter, sure he might have just stolen a kiss but he was still a gentleman.

Leila hadn't noticed Aura coming, she wiped the tears away, trying to seem like the tough girl she really was. "Hey," she breathed, "You didn't have to come out here. I'll be fine... The X-Men didn't hurt me, just one." she glared at the building and all the party guests inside. It occured to her that Sam would probably come out after her. Should he see Aura with her, as if they were best of friends? Leila, at this point, didn't care.
Leila wasn't crying anymore, but her eyes were still rather bloodshot, and her make-up was ruined. 'I guess I won't be getting back inside.' she thought, as the doors of the Hall were opened, and an ice slide Leila knew well appeared. An ice slide, along with a man she knew very well. Sam, though right now, she really didn't want to see him. It was a little to late for that though, because mere seconds later, he'd reached them both.
Leila didn't know what to say, but the fact that he was covered in ice told her punching him would only hurt her. "You would be upset too, Sam johnson!" she said, all sadness gone, replaced with anger. "Aura, you'd better leave." she said to her friend, "I need to talk to him...alone." she glared at him, red sparks seemed to appear in her brown eyes.

Jaxon tilted her head, with a light smile as he wooed her hand. Following his lead easily, dance was one of her favorite things, so she of course knew how- handing over control was something many people struggled with- and laughed. “A challenge, hmm? I hope you know what you are in for.”
“A waltz? I thought you were going to pick something difficult…” Her sarcasm might have been harsh had it not been accompanied by a smile and a wink. Moving to stand in front of him with a slow spin, she arched an eyebrow. “I hope you don’t take any offense at this, but we are at a mutant party, and you appear to be a mutant. What do you think I want to know?” She laughed, stepping closer in order to assume the position for dancing, looking up at him. “What is it like? What can you do?”

all the the lights in the place went out, the music stopped ringing too. everything was covered by darkness and suddenly the stage was filled by two huge flares . the flares continued passing across the stage, whirled, danced at the center of the empty stage. apparently empty because suddenly started the sound of a drum it with short intervals, when the sound scattered the drummer beat it again. in the sixth hit a electric guitat added to the music , it also began to sound weak and soft, but the stage remained empty except for the constant heat that bursts in the middle of the stage. Suddenly the flames collided in the middle, then they exploded leaving a cloud of ash floating in the air a few seconds. it seemed as if there had been a technical fault but it had not, everything was carefully planned and the ashes were still falling to the floor whem there appeared two boys and a girl. a guitarist, a singer and the girl was in charged of the battery. the guitarist caresses the strings of his Fender gently a few times before starting playing for real. the monotone beat had stopped and in his place started a beating that provoked a sucecion of strident sounds matchingwith that the frenetic speed at which the guitarist Takumi was moving his hands,he wasnt playing fast despite the fact that his hands seemed to be in two places at the same time, the sound also felt faster but the notes were accurate. it was a short melody that repeated three times before quickly changing the tone. Takumi ,the guitarist was a guy quite tall, about 18 years old , he was dressed in a black leather jean, a black shirt with a graffiti on it in red letters. His hair dyed yellow to match withthe pua painted in fluorescent yellow that he used to play . Cielle on the drums was wearing a black leather pants , it was tight enough as it was the red shirt that combined with the glasses, even though they had not had a bright light around . the boy, who was among them two, gave a few steps to the front to take the microphone, wearing an unbuttoned sleevless black jacket, the collar and at the inside were blue . his pants were black too .. Fausto turn to watch his teammates, he moved his lips without saying anything, but he formed the word ¨Rebel ¨. the music changed again, this time started one of they songs. Fausto literally jumped a few steps forward, Takumi was in the background and a little further back was Cielle almost hidden, she was not there cuz they did not want her to be seen . from there she could see perfectly Takumi and Faust. she could change the focus of attention between them. When Fausto took the jump she looked at him trying to see every detail and visualize in her mind these details she could not get to see because she was behind him. it worked , it never had failed .sometimes she drowned in the Charm too .. She did not know well how her power work . the object or person became irresistible to the eye. surely some people with a strong mind or psychic could see through the Charm, but normal people and most of the mutants always fell in it . Fausto began to sang. all eyes should be fixed in him , admiring every detail of his hair as black as the dark like his black eyes too ,the people would be amazed by every fold of his clothes, they would notice the scar that the child has in the chest. His voice sounded over the guitar and drums, amlplified by microphones. the child had done a very good job with the practice and singing lessons. His voice was following the music or the music was following him ...his voice sounded clear and secure despite the fact that everyone was there.
¨ i am the one that never learned¨ after a short break to take air the child continued in the same tone that it had begun. he let the words stretched out of his mouth to finish off the line in the last word strongly ¨since i was born ¨ ¨how humans should live ¨ ¨i arrived late , the system was already plugged in and running ¨¨
at some times the drummer stopped a few seconds , probably Cielle lost the control over the Charm, hopefully the audience didnt notice that .but what really mattered was the guitarist and singer. The two had practiced a lot together, every word of Fausto was accompanied by a note from Takumi. this guy really loved his fender and he know how to make it to sound really good.
¨and i like rock ! . the damned rock ¨ ¨always carried by the devil^s hand ¨ ¨i have no religion ¨ ¨maybe it was not my place , or the right time¨ ¨but i had to be born anyway ¨
¨i am not convinced by any kind of policy¨ ¨neither democtrats not the fascist¨ ¨why do i have to be this way?¨ ¨i am not even an anarchist¨
¨i see everything upside down , i dont see like you¨ ¨i dont see justice , only misery and hunger¨ ¨maybe my place is to carry the rebellion as a banner ?¨
¨forgive me that i am this way¨ ¨i dont know why¨ ¨are there others like me too that prefers the rebellion than living always suffering ?¨
the music stopped again, Fausto thanked the audience with a bow while an assistant reached with a glass of water for him . Takumi meanwhile was preparing to play the most spectacular guitar solo ever. Cielle took the small interval without using the Charm to rest a bit, a she also had a glass of water, she was shaken a little but hopefully no one will notice it because all the eyes would be focus on Takumi and his hands this time. Takumi gave his guitar to an assistant, he glared at the asistant while he was leaving . he worried a lot about his guitar . when the assistant returned he wasnt wearing his beloved fender . he reached with a fender but it was not the old one , what he was about to do wasnt something he wanted to do with the guitar he cared about so much. Cielle made a sign to Fausto, luckily he understood the message . she was not ready to use his power again , she needed a few more minutes. Faust took the microphone again and began to speak to the public.
I hope that everyone there like this little surprise . our band is called Corrosive Revolution ... for those who do not know who I am, you can call me Iron Mouth ... the drummer is Cielle and this boy is Takumi The Yellow Lightning. you would see why he is called in that way ... ¨
Fausto smiled to the public and went to a side and gave center of the stage to Takumi. Cielle made her trick and Takumi started to move his hands in an incredible speed. the only thing that could be distinguished were sparks jumping from the guitar . his hands were a yellow stain that didnt distinguish at all. the pua painted in yellow made the trick along with his incredible speed. the sound that came out of the guitar was a mixture of several notes at the same time, while his hand didnt stopped playing a note that it had already gone through two more. the show was short, the guitar does not stand much more than 30 seconds, but it was really spectacular. Takumi throw the guitar on one side and one half with the broken strings and a little fire in it, the pua also completely melted. Cielle had helped enough so that every detail could be seen but the only thing that was clear was that the flashing yellow went in front of the strings and sparks jumped from it. Takumi thanked the audience with a bow and Fausto took the microphone again.
