The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"In order to NOT use my powers, I'd have to learn to control my emotions. In order to control my emotions, I'd have to learn not to feel, not to care, not to love. But if I end up not feeling, not caring and not loving... why the hell would I NOT want to use my powers?"
HISTORY
The story of Miles Derek Haxton is woven in mystery and mystique as the ancient prophecies foretold that... actually, no, Miles is just a kid from Virginia Beach. He lived a pretty average life until the day one of his dogs died and well, he kinda sorta brought it back to life which kinda sorta threw "average life" out the window.
He didn't do it just once, though. He actually went and did it twice, the first was to his large boxer dog, who was sick and dying and the second time to his smaller dog, who was scared spitless of the now resurrected first dog and ran head first into the bumper of an incoming vehicle. Turns out Miles mutation triggered whenever he suffered anguish and sorrow and he suffered both when his dogs died (he loved them a lot) but the downside was... the dogs didn't come back as normal dogs. They came back as bigger, stronger animals, their hides were black as shadows and their eyes glowed a bright, creepy red. They no longer needed to eat, drink, sleep or hump other people's legs and they stopped behaving like normal dogs. Some called them hellhounds. Others called them zombies or undead, but what everyone agreed on was that they looked pretty badass and scary.
Miles father tried to convince him of getting rid of his dogs in order to have his normal life back, to which the boy refused. His father and grandfather then decided to take him to New York and see if they could cure him somehow, but the trip was downright horrible, as Miles and his father argued the whole way through, to the point the boy ran away as soon as they made it to the Big Apple.
The next day, Miles was lost and hungry in the city but eventually bumped into Syn, who temporarily turned him into an overobedient idiot and dragged him into Sanctuary, where he found refuge and a place to live. There he met Amber and others and eventually took some classes in Xavier's school for the Gifted, where he feels comfortable studying among fellow mutants. So far he's met Gina, Guglin, Mama T, Kealey, Shin, Aadi, Granny and ... that's pretty much it. I know it feels like it's been longer but I've only been here for two months and a half!
POWERS Miles Haxton Miles can turn into what he calls his "dark mode". His skin goes black, his eyes glow red, he feels very little pain but his touch is hurtful to the living. He suffers a shift in personality and morality and feels incredibly compelled to touch dead bodies in this state. When this happens, any dead body he touches suffers a transformation, where all wounds heal up, their skins turn black, their bodies turn bigger and stronger, their eyes glow red and they become slaves to Miles' will. This lasts pretty much forever or until Miles himself is dead.
POSTS TO SEE:
Hitting the Town - This one happens during the Age of Sebastian plot. I'm not the author and it's pretty much a brawl thread but because there were a lot of people reading it and contributing to it, I think it let many players have a look at the way I write. It stars the Amazons organizing a raid against the farms under the Town's protection and Miles seeks refuge in another farm as he sends for help. Things do not stay nice and quiet for him when the queen of the Amazons herself drops by the farm he's hiding in and Miles... takes her on.
Look at what I found! - A fun thread between Gina, Miles and Guglin, the goblin. Some funny stuff happens in this one, which is an intro thread for all three characters. Gina pretty much has the wonderful idea of dragging Guglin into the mansion while he was turned into a statue. He doesn't stay like that for long though, so some shenanigans ensue.
Ms. Quinn, don't make me angry... - The title for this one is terrible since they get along just dandy and it was supposed to be a Hulk quote that got cut off from thread title limits. This one is a bit serious as Miles wants to figure out if his powers work with emotions or not. He has trust issues though and Kealey does a lot to wash them away.

Hey guys, thought this would be a god place for any romainian Npc's that we built, seeing as 1 they are more then likely not folloing us home to new york and two, it will make it a heck of a lot easier to keep track of.
*points to rules to Npcs* Keep those in mind though again we are more than likely going to be a bit on the linient side there as we are only playing this show for a couple months.
bon apetite !

The Order would be all over making the mutants look, good, oh yes put us in seats of respect, by all means call to your betters for help, it atleast shows that they are learning that they recognize the difference between mediocre and epic.
I like all the Ideas I see and more than anything I am simply happy to see a dialouge, so the plan for now is something minor and backgroundish. so the plot for now is to sit back and watch mro happen.
