The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Off record. Sara didn't mind that. She hated records and when put to use, in her opinion, mostly only bad things could come from them. Why was humanity so fascinated with holding records of the past? Why couldn't they just live in the present? The feat wasn't easy to do but the more Sara learned how to live in the present, the happier she was becoming.
Sara tugged Paul's pockets inside out. With nothing more left on her person that she found of any interest she checked his shoes. Only finding a second knife strapped to his ankle. He'd never had a chance to grab it before and he'd never have a chance to grab it again as far as she was concerned as she unfassined the strap around his ankle and tucked the entire thing in her own pocket as a sort of trophy.
Ornate markings on the leather shieth showing briefly in the damp lamp light before she stuffed it away. into one of her own misleadingly deep pockets. "That's it for now then." She said straightening and dusting her paw like hands off on her cloths even though they weren't really dirty. touching a scumbag like Paul only made them seem so.
"I'll make sure someone gets you my number." Sara eyed Paul. Not quite wanting to leave LInely alone with him even if he was unconscious and that made her hesitate.
(I apologize for not responding in so long. Family was ill.)
There was a tug on Sara's arm as the flying mutant passed her and as Sara felt her claws rake into feathers and who knew what else? Sara tightened her grip with her other hand to keep herself from falling. Her fist pulled away with a flurry of feathers with different lengths. It still didn't keep the flying mutant from flying around and Sara tracked her progress past the crowd hoping that this meant that she was finally giving up so Sam and herself could actually do their jobs.
Sara adjusted her perch so that she was putting more of her weight on her feet as Sam convinced the crowd to start moving. Sara landed lightly staying on the crowd's heals making sure that every last one of them got out. Using her presence rather than physical strength. "Go home. Lock the doors."
The last of the crowd made it's way around the corner and Sara turned to watch the flying mutant make her way back to Sam. Her feline eyes narrowing although she'd made the distance too great to do much from here. "Hey!" Sara yelled as the flying mutant took aim. She picked up a rock at her feet and flung it at the flying mutant's head hoping to prove to be a decent enough distraction.
Wasn't sure really what to think yet. Was this what it was really like to be on a team? She was still learning, and the more that she learned what it was like to be on a team the more she couldn't help but recognize that anyone whom tried to keep the peace in this city was in deed crazy. Now she could easily add herself to that list.
"Did you get anything else from Paul?"
The corner of Sara's mouth turned up into a slight, sly, smile. She hadn't spent years picking pockets for her living not to recognize the slightest of opportunities. And it was for a good cause this time. "I did manage to pick his pocket." She fished the papers out of her back pocket and handed them to Linely without opening it or reading it herself. Instead she trusted that the cop in charge would keep her informed though on that thought, she figured that would also be a test. Opening up wasn't easy for Sara. "Though now that's he's been knocked out, I guess I didn't have to get that close to him a moment ago."
As the note had been held out to Linely, Sara knelt next to Paul and started rummaging through his pockets tossing anything that she might have found on the damp grass unless it was a paper. The first couple of pockets held pocket change, and a cell phone.
Linely's speech had everything rapped up in a tight little package. He'd not only answered her questions but he also finished with a feeling of a leering we want you poster and Sara could picture uncle Sam's eyes staring right into hers as Linely went on.
"Do you have any more questions?"
Sara crossed her arms and instead of looking at Linely she chose to look at Paul. Collapsed in a heap on the ground and now handcuffed. "Where do we go next?" What was she supposed to say? No? There wasn't a lot that Sara held dear to her but what she found that she did hold dear was in New York City. She Had long since learned that standing on the side lines did nothing so instead, if this was really a dangerous as Linely made it sound, Sara would be on the front lines.
(Sorry for my own delay. Been busy this past week and not feeling well by the time I get home from work.)
Sara held the phone in front of her face. Still close enough that she could hear it but not up to her ear where her all too sensitive ears would be bothered. Meanwhile Doc Prof filled her in on the most recent inhabitants of the mansion that had wolf related mutations. One in particular matched the one before her. "Tyson." Sara called out as it looked as though the werewolf mutant was about to try to move away. Her ears flicking back and forth as she stepped backwards keeping the same distance between them but obviously where she could step in his way if he chose to try to leave in the wrong direction.
"Doc." Sara spoke into the receiver of the phone as Doc Prof had gone on about how Tyson had been at the mansion for a time but had become... Lost.... or rather how he had escaped, to put the explanation simple. Sara didn't need to hear more and it annoyed her as her ears drew back as she glanced down at the phone. "Just get a van or a truck down here. You might have to drive off of the road a bit." Sara was doing her best to think on her feet. Not sure how she was supposed to corral a large wolf without starting a fight but she was definitely going to try her damnedest.
"Tyson." Sara repeated as she started to address the werewolf like mutant. Not sure if any of what she was saying was worth her breath because of the way he was acting. "I know that you've been out here for a while now, but here isn't a home." If he had gone truly feral, Sara wasn't sure if there really was a place for him anywhere just like she feared for her own mutation changing her into... this... But he couldn't stay where he could either kill a normal person. Nor could he stay where animal control could get called on him. "I live at the mansion." Sara continued. "Let me help you." Her voice was strong, leaving no mistake that she would willingly take any nonsense, but at the same time soft.

Linely knocked Paul out without even moving and inch and even though Sara caught the stinky 'M' Dealer at first, she was quick to let him slump to the ground. Using his good arm to slide through her hand till his body still came to rest. He was breathing and Sara could hear his heart beating so there was no danger of him dying on them so long as she made sure that his face didn't come to rest in a puddle left from the bad weather.
She sighed when Linely made im suggestion of what they were going to do with Paul. She knew that he was jail bound from the beginning and since he just tried to do something stupid with her, she didn't have any qualms with his arrest. The information that he had given herself and Linely was what she regretted hearing. "Damn." She sighed again. How in the world did she even manage to get herself into these situations? Ok. So instead of asking herself all sorts of all sorts of internal questions, she needed some answers from Linely.
"OK. So I know what Judgement day is in the biblical sense but I didn't have time to do all of my own reading and research before meeting you out here. So what is this Judgement day?" Sara asked. Her arms crossed to keep from fidgeting. She chose to fill the moment that she had with retrieving the little bag of 'M' before someone could come in to grab it. They were in known druggy territory after all. The knife was left on the ground, and Sara stared at it as she continued to talk. Not sure if she was allowed to pick that one up as well. Another reason why she hated working with the police. They had so muck protocol. "How did you find out about Judgement day? And what more are you going to need from me?"

Finally Sara had gotten Paul off of her. And it was satisfying in a sickening way. She stepped out of the way when Linely spoke up on his own threat and she thought that something more visual and physical would happen. Instead she saw nothing too out of the ordinary but Paul was obviously reacting to pain. Pain that She hadn't caused him. One furry eye brow raised in Linely's direction. She probably should have read the file that Sam had sent her more than she had...
"Catherine, I don't think there is any need to remove bits of him. This is useful enough information."
"Awwww Thomas. You're no fun." Sara said. It was meant to joke even though now wasn't a joking time and it came out dry. "Let me help you up Pauly boy." Sara said reaching down for his good arm then last minute taking him by the back of the shirt making sure that he could feel the tips of her claws near the back of his neck. If Paul wanted to protest she could always break his other arm or something else. "Does that mean that you're done with him?" Sara asked Linely.

Sara hadn't seen the rioter below before she'd thrown the crystal at the winged mutant. Sara flinched and her ears pinned against the back of her head when she heard the man below cry out in pain. Two crystals flew back at Sara again and Sara clung to the sill of a window with one hand. Turning to catch the first crystal with her free hand. However with the other hand still clinging to the side of the building for a grip she was forced to dodge away. Kicking off of the side of the building across the walk way to the next buildings. The second crystal lodging it's self in the wall where it staid.
”When was the last time you caught a bird?”
"Eh..." Sara climbed as she spoke. Crystal still in her right hand and she quickly gained height again. "More recent than you'd think and we'll leave it at that." Sara tried to joke back with Sam but the wildly flying mutant was requiring more of her attention as she had to move out of her way once again to avoid getting knocked off of the narrow ledge. "Can you keep the idiots new idiots out of the way Slick?" Sara wished not to accidentally harm someone else.
Sara felt her lips pull back against her teeth. The flying mutant was flying wildly by Sara again and Sara reached out with her free hand, the Crystal resting on a narrow ledge just under her other hand's claws. As the flying mutant went by her, she felt her claws fulling unshieth. her hands lashed out trying to hook into the flesh of the passing wing. In the very lease Sara aimed to grab a fist full of longer flight feathers.

Oh that was cute. Sara thought to herself. Pauly boy thought that he was fast when he dashed behind Sara. Hooking his free arm around her waist. Sara's empty hand already raised with her hand around his knife hand as he held the blade to her throat. Paul spun them around so that they were facing Linely and Sara's amber eyes glared at him. She wasn't happy but Paul had sealed the deal for her. She would make him think twice before approaching any other woman again and that thought brought an ugly grin to her face.
"I tell you how it's going to go Kitty Cat Catherine,
Sara's hand over Paul's hand that held the knife to her throat tightened though Paul might have thought that he was still in control seeing as he wasn't running while he had a chance. Sara wasn't exactly fond of anyone referring to her feline mutation and at this moment it was obviously a sore spot.
your associate is going to leave us here, you're going to drop that bag of "M" and you're going to give me what I want..."
"Oh that's cute. You don't want my associate to leave. His need for your services and your information will keep you alive." OK. So Sara might have been bluffing a little but if he felt like he could treat her like this so confidently, it was likely that he had done it before and she was going to make him pay. The bag of 'M' was dropped and forgotten on the pavement.
She felt the hand holding the knife to her throat try to pull back into her and her hand tightened around it. Sara's mutation provided her with more strength than it looked like she had and while Paul looked as fit as thugs can look, Sara was stronger. Her claws sank into his hand and pushed forward then down snapping it down over her other arm. Paul's knife dropped down to the ground following a sickening crunch. Paul fell forward against her back yelling against her pinned right ear and making it ring. The back of Sara's head snapped back into Paul's face making his nose bleed. She then spun ramming her elbow into the ribs completely knocking the wind out of him. It all happening as fast as someone could say one two three.
Paul was stumbling back and Sara was still on the attack. She grabbed him by the neck and her feet practically flew across the pavement as she aimed to slam Paul spine first into the trunk of a thick tree. "Thomas." Sara called over her shoulder at Linely. Her hand pressing Paul back first into a tree by his throat raised and pressed against his throat harder. "I get the distinct feeling that when I talk Pauly boy here is distracted. Perhaps you should try asking the questions. He might be smarter with his responses." Paul was starting to change new and interesting colors as Sara held his throat. His good arm trying to pull at her grip and she thought about breaking that arm too before she released him and dropped him to the ground. "Of course if he doesn't start making smarter responses, I might start removing.... things... from his person."

As Linely picked up where she had left off, Sara crossed her arms. Somewhat enjoying the fact that Paul looked so cross. He really should be considering himself lucky so far. He wasn't forced to eat through a straw yet.
Linely stepped between Sara and Paul and Sara took the moment to shove the piece of paper further into her back packet while her hand could easily be concealed. She took the little baggy of M lightly in her right hand weighing it loosely between her fingers. "You know I'm going to need a shower after this..." Sara mumbled just loud enough that Linely could hear her. Shower.... Herbal tea... Sara was starting a list in her head for what she wanted to do when this was all over. Maybe work out some mental anguish in the danger room....
Linely stepped out of her way and she wiped the scowl off of her face making her eyes relax and the corners of her mouth curved into the slightest of smiles. Still shifting the small bag containing a large amount of M between her finger tips she re approached Paul. "I'd watch yourself with this amount of product." In her right hand she held the 'M' close enough that she could get a decent sniff of it even at her shoulder's height. Her left hand stretched out expectantly waiting for payment.

(Let me know if I have any information that you would like me to change or take out. I am open to edits.)
As long as the wolf wasn't gaining more aggression towards her, Sara wasn't changing what she was doing. She was just going to hang out along the front of the werewolf mutant's den till she finally figured out what she was going to do with him. Or until something else happened.
Now who was Sara supposed to call at the mansion. Shin was likely at work... Sam was probably on partrole and due to the timing she wasn't sure whom else would be able to safely pick up their phones. There was only one person that Sara knew whom knew a little bit about everyone and everything at the mansion. The mansions own personal medic mutant. Doc Prof. She found herself biting the lower part of her lip slightly as she sucked her lips in and waited for the phone to stop ringing on the other end and for the infamous Doc Prof to pick up.
"Hey Doc. Prof." Sara finally answered when the good Doc picked up on the other end. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about a werewolf mutant gone wild in the park?" Sara listened to Doc prof as he went on that the mansion had several wolf like mutant's in the past. "Just tell me about the resent ones." Sara snapped into the receiver on her phone. Doc prof snapped back at Sara and while she never held the phone next to her face like most people did she found herself pulling the phone even further away from her ear. "Fine. But this one is going to hurt someone if he's left out here alone." She hated saying it that way but it was the truth. "Can you send out a truck and no I don't think I'll need more than a truck." Sara said stubbornly as Doc Prof offered elephant tranquilizers. Sara might have been fooling herself there but as long as the werewolf was cooperating she'd not treat him like an animal.
Sara rolled her eyes as Sam gave her that little snip. She couldn't of had everything under control. Excuse her for not catching a flying forklift. Her amber eyes followed the path that the older mutant had taken and she huffed. chasing him now would waste time and she wasn't interested in accidentally being sent into lower orbit. "Yeah. Tracking him will be no issue later..." Sara sighed a response to Sam.
Gunshots rang out from down the road and Sara's head swiveled around away from the retreating gravity manipulator to the source of the gunshots. "I'll take that bet." Sara said as she pushed off a head of Sam. Loping in long strides just in front of Sam. Her senses starting to run wild now that her Adrenalin was starting to flow.
Sara turned a corner and large black wings caught her widened eyes. Sara backpedaled with her clawed feet leaving grooves in the blacktop. The crystal barely missed her and stuck into a wall just where she would have been had she not sensed the attack coming.
"Slick..." Sara called out. Her eyes now on the flying mutant and those lovely feathered wings. Her eyes dilated slightly. The second crystal was thrown at Sam and Sara reached out to grab it. Her hands fast enough to catch it much the way she had trained with Sam as he had flung ice shards at her in the danger room.
"Hey you! Look me!"
"I see..." Sara's eyes continued to focus on her. Did she know she had feathers and she chose to pick a fight with a cat? Sara weighed the crystal in her paw like hand. Then flung it back at the winged mutant aiming for her middle. Then followed the crystal into the air. Using the side of the building to quickly get higher so that she was level with the flying mutant. hoping that her own crystal shard was a decent enough distraction.

Ok. They were obviously starting to play a new came. How long would it take for Sara to knock this sicko's block off. Any bets? Any? Seriously now was the time to start placing bets because Sara could feel the hand on the arm facing away from Paul flex into a fist again. She hit the arm behind her back in clear view of Linely. Flexing again particularly when Paul exhaled in her direction just when she took a step up wind of him. Making her right ear twitched.
"I might be able to give... more information to a pretty little thing like you. But it would come at a little... price."
Paul had her by the arm petting her hair and to be honest there wasn't much more that Sara could take as he actually rubbed some of it the wrong way. She chuckled but it wasn't a pretty chuckle and once again it could be read completely the wrong way by one who wished for fantasies anyways.
Sara then felt his hand try to go lower and a couple of things happened at once. Sara's body dipped down dodging Paul's hand. For a moment she stood shoulder to shoulder with Paul and her own positioning wasn't by accident as the hand that was behind her back opened and the claws on the index and middle digits flexed. The tips of those two claws dipped into Paul's pocket and pinched around the little piece of paper that stuck out, effectively picking his pocket in the same motion she used to step out of his reach. Her hand with the picked piece of paper stuck it half way in her own back pocket. Clear for Linely to see as she backpedaled two steps. Straightened herself so that she was standing tall again with her hands upturned into a shrug pose. It had been a long time since she had picked anyone's pocket, but she hadn't lost her touch.
"I think that you over estimate my value of such secrets..." Sara's steps took her smoothly back just in front of Linely. With some distance between herself and Paul again, she managed to regain her composure and with her hands still held up in a shrug like pose her head tiled. "I doubt that the information is really that Juicy anyways."

The wolf like mutant took the treat and retreated back to his den looking much more animal and acting much more animal than pleased Sara. Not that it was his fault that he acted this way. Especially if he didn't understand English. But it had been a fear of Sara's for a long time that she would loose control of herself in the same fashion that she saw in front of her. She could see the remains of clothing left across him when he moved and to her, that meant that he was at one time, what some would call, civilized. It also meant that she couldn't just leave him. Animal control was a pain to deal with even if they were called accidentally. There were a number of other possibility that could happen as well. Someone could stumble across him accidentally much like she had. Or it looked as though he had been out here for a long enough time that someone had to know about him. Someone looking to make a name for themselves could come out to hunt him down. The more that Sara thought about it the more that she realized that whom ever he was, he couldn't stay here now.
Sara clipped the leather leash to Roxy's collar. The dog was tied to a near by tree in hopes that she wouldn't slip her collar and end up being one more thing for Sara to concern herself with as she dealt with the wolf like mutant. With Roxy secure and with a piece of doggy jerky resting between her paws, Sara took her phone out of her pocket and thumbed through a couple of numbers as she tried to figure out what exactly she was going to do next. Her other hand took out another one of Roxy's treats.
By the time that Sara was strolling back into the other mutant's view from outside his den, he'd finished the first piece of meat that she'd given him. The second piece was grasped lightly near her side. She wasn't going to throw it to him unless she needed to. At the same time she was pressing her limits on how close she should probably be getting to him. She crouched so that she was able to see him clearly about twenty feet from his den. "Maybe someone at the mansion would know about you..." She mumbled to herself as her thumb claw flicked her contacts across her phone's screen.

Sara's eyes flicked back to Linely as he tried to talk to Paul but it seemed that she had Pauly boys complete attention. "If course we're not just giving our product away." Sara brought agreed with Linely though the way she formed the statement Sara sort of left that up to interpretation. The more distracted Paul was the more likely he was to make a mistake and either give them some little bit of information or allow Sara to pick his pockets witch, as he closed the gap between them, was also becoming an interesting possibility. This was going to be a real test of her patients. How long would it be that she could keep from knocking Paul out?
"So...." Sara trailed off as if she was in some sort of thought when in reality she had to tell her hand and her shoulders to relax. "Would it be you that we would be dealing with for such a transaction? Are you the boss of this little operation?" She shifted her weight to her other hip that gave her a couple of more inches distance from Paul without making her feet move. One hand brought up to her chin. Did Paul know he needed mouthwash still? "Or is there a third party whom we would need to deal with? Thomas and I like to keep the steps between us and our next payday short and sweet. You know. Kiss. Keep it simple stupid."
Come on. Just a few more steps. Sara thought to herself. If he moved just a little closer she could not only have a chance to take that little piece of paper out of his pocket, but also she could maneuver herself so that she was upwind of his breath.
