The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(This is what her dress looks like but in teal green farm4.static.flickr.com/3246/2845460542_29d4c75c23.jpg?v=0 ) Kasumi is looking at all of the others that is talking to her at last she smiles not a scared smile but a true smile she has on light pink gloss that glitters softly she bows her head "I am Kasumi Thank you so much." She smiles more she looks around 15 yet she is 18 years old she is just so small. She pulls some of her hair behind her ear.
Kasumi turns around to see the flying swan as she gaps "Wow that is cool." she smiles as she points. She soon feels the snow falling on her skin as she closes her eyes she spins around some as she smiles more loving the snow she will always love the snow. Kasumi soon catches some snow flakes in her hand as she looks back at the others and smiles more. Kasumi is more happier now she seems to be a bit more ralxed also.
Aura got out of the taxi she had taken to the party, the deep blue silk dress felt a bit strange as it adjusted it self as she stood up and looked around. She felt out of place, their were camera men as well as people other people seemed to feel were important. her pik nailed fingers gripped the heart shaped necklace gracing her. Closing her eyes she reminded herself over and over to be calm and not to attack, unless he really had to. Taking a few steps Aura remembered just how littile she had ever walked in heels, they were only inch heels but still she was lucky she recalled how to stand in them at all. Taking her hand a way from the sweetheart neckline of her dress, she walked down the Carpet, holding her head low and ignoring questions coming her way, most of which she had no idea about anyway. She had no idea who made the dress or the chandelier style earings. She almost tripped a few times unused to her restricted movement in the dress, she briefly wondered if she had not done something terribly wrong for the order. She adjusted the tight floor length gown trying to get comfortable in it.
She looked around the room, seeing their were a lot of people all ready at the ball. She was tempted to wipe her eye which was itching a bit under the make up, she assumed her skin was just unused to it, and so she headed over to the buffet area. She tried to smile with her pink lips and played with the long pink ribbon from the bow holding her hair back in the messy bun, she enjoyed the soft fabric against her fingers. She sighed deeply looking over at Nunally, though she disliked the color of the dress, she had to admit it looked good on her. Doing her best to smile she approached the girl "hello" she said her nervousness showing easily. All of this was so far out of her comfort zone, all the people the dress, the make up and the party, she wondered if the people in this city were always like this. She looked over the flying swan curiously, wondering if it was some kind of threat.

Sleek, black, and purring like a large cat, Kaz pulled the Lamborghini Gallardo Nera to a stop, letting the artificial beast idle softly. The door eases open as Kaz steppes out slowly and confidently. Before fully exiting the car, he reached down and let Demi scamper up his arm to drape around his shoulders. He met the valet's eyes, and gave the man a cold look that left no room to guess what he would do if his car was damaged.
Kaz walked down the carpet in something a bit different from what most of the party goers were dressed in. If he was uncomfortable with the looks he was getting, the camera flashes and questions, he didn't show it. Though, Kaz being Kaz, his ego wouldn't allow him to drop to the human's level. The question, 'Are you a Mutant?' was never uttered, and why should it be? His silver hair, crimson eyes, and tipped ears gave it away easily, not to mention the drakeling he carried on his shoulders as he walked. Demi seemed to enjoy the attention, he never seemed to stop his chiddering laughter, his eyes were barely open, his lips were pulled back showing his small sharp teeth, and the tip of his tail flicked side to side slightly as it lay against Kaz's chest.
As he entered the ballroom he began taking in the surroundings immediately. It wasn't hard to spot several large red men, six to be exact. <Abyss.> He thought to himself and allowed a smirk to crease his face, though he absently wondered where the seventh was. He thought he saw another face, a face of someone he had nearly shredded over a year before, Deathstar, though he couldn't be sure as she seemed to move out of his line of sight. For a moment, he was sure he heard a familiar, near inaudible sound, but it was gone too fast for him to place it.
Kaz heard plenty of murmurs of a flying ice swan, apparently he had been a bit late to catch it himself. Watching and listening, he followed the flow to find the person behind it. "Heh." <Mr. Can't-Order-A-Sandwich-Correctly> Kaz let out a soft chuckle at the memory. He wasn't alone, he seemed to be escorting a lady, at least that's how it seemed with their arms entwined so. Someone crossed his field of vision, and the woman seemed to shift slightly.
Kaz did smile when he recognized the woman on his arm. He made his way toward the two with a bit of speed, though careful not to bump or push anyone. When he neared her, "Vega, correct." He reached into his inside coat pocket and hand his hand on the $500,000 check he had made out to her for the reconstruction of the bookstore.

Leila was in a rather grumpy mood today, and it really didn't help that on Valentine's day, Sam was coming to this same party with someone else. She kept her calm however, knowing that he'd be very jealous if anyone came up and started flirting with her. Trust me, she wouldn't back away, especially when he was looking in her direction with that pretty little friend of his. She held her chin high as the Limo stopped in front of the building where the party was taking place, and came out confidently, her beautiful dress and perfectly done hair flying in the soft, February breeze.
Leila blinked a few times as the Photographers started flashing pictures her way, and, smiling a little forcefully, she made her way inside, struck by the new sort of brightness, and the constant buzzing in her ear that was the voices of many, many guests. She smirked evily, concentrating on Sam and his 'date', trying to find out a little more about her new enemy. She hadn't gotten too far in their conversation however, when a familiar face caught her eye. Aura, Leila thought, maybe the two Order Members could have a little Girl's Night out. No one would mind her hanging with a 16 year-old Order member? For all they cared about, they would probably not even notice her.
As Leila started making her way towards the brunette, she couldn't help but notice other familiar faces - Katrina, Raina, Luke, Werecat..." she looked back at Sam and Ghost, and then kept her eyes on Aura as she came into view again. "Hey Aura!" she said cheerfully, stopping a few feet from the Evil Teen. "Nice party, huh?" she added, tucking her purse in under her arm as a man strode over with a platter of drinks. Leila took one, smiling. "Thank you," she said, and the man actually stopped to look at her, blinking a few times. Leila rolled her eyes, and turned around to face Aura again.
Just then, she realized that an other woman was standing beside her, someone Leila had never seen before. "Oh, sorry, am I interupting anything?" she asked casually, though her expression remained rather careless. "I'm Leila, pleased to meet you." she held out her hand, again, careless expression.
On Sara’s way to the stairs, Sara found herself lost for a moment. Frozen and tucked away from the mane part of the crowds, near the wall. Slowly she started recognizing a few people. There was Sam, and it occurred to Sara that he had probably provided the ice swan distraction Sara had used to duck inside. The girl hanging on his arm looked familiar, and the young man with the red eyes, pointy ears, and silver hair, was definitely someone Sara recognized. Sara couldn’t help but laugh at his odd cloths. They still made things like that? ’It suits you, Sir’ Sara thought to herself.
Sara let herself scan the rest of the room and she recognized the many Abysses. She hadn’t seen them for at least a year.
A man walked by Sara with a plate full of artistic looking food. Sara selected a cocktail glass with shrimp hooked over rims and sauce in the glass. Sara pushed away from the wall and started walking through the crowds of people, careful not to knock into any of them. She waved at Sam before making eye contact with Demi, on Kaz’s shoulder. Her lips popped as she stuck on shrimp in her mouth. She spun and weight the shrimp between her digits before tossing the sea food towards the general area of Kaz’s head, for Demi. If Demi would catch it.
Ok stairs. Where were the stairs again? Sara started walking back to where she’d originally been headed.
Fixing her dress a bit, Arielle smiled still holding on to Shin's arm as they entered the ballroom. She gently she held the rose in her hands she had received from her date and she held it to her nose, continuing to inhale it's scent. The room was beautifully set up and there seemed to be a nice mix of people there. She certainly was surprised to see mutants and humans in the same place and not attempting to tear out each others throats.
"Come along, Shin dear. Shall we go mingle?" Ari smiled walking further into the room with Shin and a wide grin worn on her face as she had caught the eyes of multiple men as she made her entrance. She also glanced around at the competition. So many beautiful girls in their lovely dresses.
"Good thing I decided to bring this after all..." Arielle chuckled, taking out a diamond studded tiara and placing it on her head to give herself a bit more bling.

"Oh, hi!" She gave a nervous smile before introducing herself, "My name is Nunally..." She quickly noticed that the girl gave a disapproving look on her dress, "Yes, I'm fully aware of how ugly it is. My mom bought it for me, and that makes it a bit special to me. It was all I had."
She scuffled her feet a bit, trying to ease the tense silence between them both. "By the way, are you a-- mutant?"
She quickly began to look away from the girl, as a way to show her embarrassment in herself for asking, as she saw a young couple walk in. 'Must be more celebrities, she thought.' She also took as a bitter reminder of her having no date and, therefore no boyfriend. She made it up in her mind that was she going to die alone. Yes, Valentine's Day did affect her that much.
"I'm Leila, pleased to meet you." She shook the older girl's hand, lightly, she remembered she was a lady today and a lady should be prim and dainty. How nauseating. "My name is Nunally, Nunally Biermann." she hoped Leila wouldn't point out her strong, New Orleans accent. Or her eye, for that matter.
Someone touched her shoulder and Ghost turned to see.. Kaz. In a lovely long coat and... old fashioned frilly shirt. "Vega, correct."
"Mister Kaz! You got my message, I wasn't sure you -- er nice cravat." Ghost elbowed Sam just in case he decided to open his mouth about the Vega bit. He'd never been to the book store so how was he supposed to know who she was outside of the mansion?
Not one to waste time, Kaz reached inside of his coat and handed her a slip of paper. Ghost blinked at Kaz. Was this what she thought it was? She looked at it and quickly folded the slip closed and put it in her purse. It felt half blessing, half ticking time bomb. She'd asked for support in buying the book store so that it could re-open. She hadn't figured out a specific amount she needed just yet, but the man had just handed her a check for half a million dollars. She'd only seen one check larger in her life.
Maybe she didn't need to call the other investors she had lined up after all.
"I-I don't know how to thank you." Ghost bowed deeply. I was all she knew to do. "I'd be honored if you'd come to the re-opening. I'm not sure when it will be, but I can leave you a message." She smiled and straightened her posture. "Thank you." She meant it with every fiber of her being. It obviously meant a lot to her.
Sam shifted his weight and Ghost remembered that she'd come with someone to a ball. This wasn't about re-opening the Full Circle, this was about encouraging mutant-human relations and ironically enough since there was a kind of truce called everyone seemed to be developing some mutant-mutant relations too. "I don't know if you've met my friend, Sam. Sam, this is Kaz. Kaz -- Sam."
As she was introducing the two who seemed to have some unspoken tension, Ghost caught sight of a group of girls, one of whom looked to be Leila -- she didn't know the girl personally, but she knew her to be blond and the fact that she was glaring daggers at Ghost was a big hint. "Uh, Sam? Why'd you invite me here if your girlfriend was coming?" Ghost shook her head, but she was still smiling. Half a million dollars in your pocket did wonders for one's mood. She pat Sam on the arm. "You did your duty, bud. I'm here. I'll be fine if you go hang out with your girl."

After amazing at the sudden beautiful ice swan Cadaver turned toward the tiny woman with a giant smile on her face. " Hello Kasumi." the air itself sparkled as a light snow fell. " you may call me Peter Nenroa. Im a mutant of rather peculiar talents." He smiled big and bright, looking right into her eyes. " so i know ur name. But who are u?..... ive never considered the two things to be quite the same. One's name and one's true person are not necessarily related. So i simply wonder when i meet someone. Who are they, thus who are u?" Her red hair still sparkled from the snow.
Cadaver's eyes drifted over the crowd. His previous statement still perplexing him jsut a little bit.

Sam and Ghost strut was stalled when someone called out for a Vega. ‘Vega’ Sam wondered as Ghost stopped and responded to the call with an elbow to his side, “Ow what was that fo…” Sam cut himself off as he noticed a familiar elfish looking guy that broke his right arm from his fingers up, the healing process was painful as hell and took the good Doctor an hour to heal because of the hand and numerous amount of tiny bones. “Kaz was it?” Sam asked to himself hearing the name from ghost, ‘Nice to see you again,’ thought Sam as waited for Ghost signaling that the talk was over.
Sam watched as Kaz pulled a check from his jacket and gave it to Ghost. He didn’t know what kind of business transaction he just witnessed but he doubted it would be that bad, he couldn’t picture Ghost to be the criminal type. “Grand opening for what?” Sam asked not really getting an answer but rather an introduction, “Actually,” Sam said as he extended his right hand for a shake, which ironically was the one that Kaz had taken the liberty to break in to pieces, “We met before or rather fought,” looking to Kaz and making a motion at his chest, “Didn’t leave a mark did I was kinda in a off mood and well sorry, no hard feelings right?” Sam smiled as he rubbed the back of his head laughing a little, “Could have given me one hell of a beating just glad you ended it at my arm!” Sam said jokingly.
Turning his attention back to Ghost Sam smiled to her and said, “Well I knew you would have fun here, and seeing as you and what’s his face split I didn’t want you to be alone tonight,” he smiled and was full aware that what’s his name was Garret other than the fact that he left Ghost, Sam didn’t really have any issues with him. “Valentines day,” he said with a smile, “a day to be with your loved ones right? Sides you're my date for the night, I never have ditched a date before in my life I don’t plan on starting with you.”
Looking over to see Leila staring daggers at them sending his gut to sink, “Though I might have to talk to he for a bit and give her some attention, don’t think you’d be to mad if I go see her later right?” Sam asked smiling, “She looks mad!” turning to ghost he said, “How about we find a table first then we can go from there? Lead the way ‘honey’!” Sam said jokingly.
There was a gathering of some sort for something that people called Valentine's party. Cailyn didn't understand it fully, the only thing she could come up with that it was Valentine's birthday. She didn't know anybody named that way but then again she didn't know many ways to begin with. She was all dressed up in a black short dress that one of the red headed twin girls picked out for her a while back. She never actually wore it though. She had her standard sneakers under it seeing as high heals made her fall over and they weren't very confortable. She wore her mask seeing as party's tend to have lots of people there which could lead into headaches and fainting.
She arrived at the party with her gift in her hand. It was a red box with a green ribbon around it. It was actually a book that she found on the ground in the ruined bookshop (revolving doors thread ) that she took with her. It was called: The once and future king. It seemed interresting and it had a king in it so could be nice, if you could read it. She entered the party and she looked around. Allot of people where there. Their was lots of red around the room and then it hit her. One of the big red men was Valentine. She walked slowly around the room looking for the big red man to give him his gift. She gave up on finding him shortly seeing as the crowd was to big and she decided to ask. She tugged somebody clothes. "Eeehh , sorry eehhh where can i find valentine. " She asked softly and shy. That was one way to get yourself noticed.

Shin felt a tug on his tuxedo, and turned his head slowly to shoot the tugger a thuggish look, raising his white Mardis Gras mask-on-a-stick. The feathers on its side tickled his ears. The girl wearing the mask’s appearance tickled his funny bone. Something about two people wearing masks at a party finding each other amused him. He wasn’t sure what. Eying the red and green box, he responded to her question.
“Valentine? I think you just missed him. There was this red guy earlier, a real big guy with a massive right arm and demon’s horns. I think he called himself ‘Ron Perlman’… saw him over by the food table.” He pointed a stray finger past the dancers, towards refreshments. He turned to nod at Arielle, looking around for a place to mingle quietly. He caught sight of Leila a good distance away, nodding to Ari.
“Hey, let’s go say hi to Leila and Sam! And maybe they’ll be able to help us find this ‘Valentine’ you’re looking for.” A wry smile slipped across his lips for Hymn as he tugged Arielle towards the group of girls near the entrance. As they got nearer, though, he wondered where the heck Sam was in that equation… oh, over with another girl. He caught sight of Ghost.
“Uh oh.” Sam might have dug his own grave from the way Leila was looking at him... and who was the strange elf-earred guy? He had a dragon on his shoulder. Nice.
A piece of shrimp sailed towards the dragon’s mouth. Shin had a sudden urge to place bets on whether it would eat it.

Arielle stood by Shin and watched the blonde woman who had approached him, asking about some guy named Valentine. Ari chuckled at the Hellboy reference made by Shin. "Ah, Leila...." Arielle smiled after Shin had pointed her out. It had been awhile since she had talked to her good friend. As he led her closer to the group Leila was mingling with, Arielle's eyes narrowed in on one particular girl in the group. The girl with the midnight blue dress. The green eyes, the brown hair, it was a face she'd never forget.
"What the hell is she doing here?" Arielle wondered aloud glaring at Aura. That little brat from the park. Arielle couldn't help but suspect the young girl of being up to something. Every time she bumped into her, nothing but trouble ensued. Then she wondered why Leila was talking to Aura. Probably just to be friendly. It's not like she secretly joined The Order and has been living at the mansion as a spy, lying to all her friends and to her boyfriend, who would absolutely be devastated if he found out his little dolphin girl was really rotten on the inside and eats babies. No, that couldn't have been it at all.
Arielle decided to shrug it off, but she would still keep a close eye on Aura and was more than ready to give a Valentines Day beat down if it came to that. Arielle then gave her attention back to Shin when he mentioned Sam and Ghost, who seemed to be chatting with some guy who had a dragon on his shoulder. She blinked at the shrimp heading towards the dragon's mouth.
"Perhaps we should speak to them? Or say our good byes just in case Sam doesn't make it through tonight," Arielle chuckled and moved towards the trio, tugging Shin along.
"Hello Sam and Ghost. Lovely party, huh?" Arielle smiled at the air and ice elementals. "And good evening to you," she spoke to Kaz. "I'm Arielle. Nice Dragon."

Jaxon’s town car slowly pulled into the drive. Taking a deep breath she thanked Frank, the driver, and prepared to get out; lightly touching her hair, checking her makeup, and smoothing her dress. The car parked, and with a reassuring smile, Frank got out and came around, opening the door for her.
Swinging her legs around and carefully stepping out of the car, her black and rhinestone heels catching the light against her pale skin. Slowly she rose out of the vehicle, getting her footing just as cameras started flashing. Holding her silver clutch to her hip, the bottom of her dress fluttering, she smiled and waved a bit as she moved up the walkway to the building. She deftly ignored most questions, but one reporter caught her on camera with a question and she couldn’t gracefully escape.
“Miss Kane! Does your presence here indicate your family’s support of the mutant cause?” The female reporter shoved a microphone in her face
After a brief almost-shaky smile and a stalling wave to the crowd to give her time to think, she turned back and answered. She pushed her fingers behind her ear, tucking an imaginary strand of hair behind her ear and smiled into the camera.
“As you know, the Kane family has always been supportive of equal rights, no matter the group in question, but I cannot speak for them in regards to mutants. However, my attendance at this event is indicative of my support, and is exploratory to determine my family’s possible involvement. We always do our research.” She said the last part with a bit of a joking whisper, as if letting the reporter in on something secret.
She smiled, and before the reporter could shove another question at her, she moved away and up to the door. When it was opened by the doorman, she gave him a grateful look and moved to the check-stand, shrugging off her wrap and handing both it and her clutch to the attendant. With nothing important in either, she wasn’t concerned, and it was always best to have both hands free at an event.
With another deep breath she turned and stepped into the main hall, looking around, scanning faces. She spotted a few people she knew, friends of her parents mostly, a few politicians, a few famous faces... But she was more interested in the unknowns. For the first time in her knowledge, she was in a room with another mutant… Many mutants. The smile on her face was subtle, but her body language was that of a scared mouse suddenly dropped into an unknown place; scared, looking for someplace to hide, and unsure of herself. Was it obvious to others? Jaxon hoped not, and tried to calmly stroll further into the room.

Kasumi looks into Peter's eyes as she feels herself blushing some. Soon she gives a very shy smile "Well I have poison frog mutation that is what the spots are for.. even if I feel naked showing them off like this. I am use to hieing them and covering them up in some way or another."
Kasumi nods softly as she runs her hand down the back of her neck "I will like to know what your powers are." she still blushes some she is a very shy girl. She was not the kind to dress up and be in a place like this but sometimes it is good to get out. Kasumi feels a few people looking at her. Yet her spots gives her a very elegant look.
Not alot of spots like hers yet they seem to fit her very well. Even if Kasumi had them for 5 years she is still not use to seeing them yet when the light hits them right they seem to get a peral look to them makeing them shine softly in the light that is around her.
