MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. In the interest of trying to keep things interesting for players the MOD team has come up with a few X-Men mission ideas. Post here if you're interested in doing one or more of the missions listed and we'll see what we can do.
The first mission listed ("Hiding In Plain Site") will allow for Order and Kabal members to join in, at least during the party phase. The fourth mission (Loch Ness? Lake Champlain? How About The North Pole?) will also allow for Order or Kabal members to join in if they feel like investigating a possible mutant sighting. 1) Hiding In Plain Sight The activist organization "Humane Treatment For Mutants & Humans Alike" is throwing a charity ball here in New York City. Along with inviting local celebrities and politicians they have invited quite a few mutants. The X-Men have heard rumors that perhaps this organization isn't as pure and clean as everyone believes and so 2-3 X-Members are dispatched to the party to mingle and investigate.

2) Spies In Our Midst The X-Men have just intercepted a coded message that was being broadcast to their mansion. After several days spent decoding it they discover that one of their newest studies is a spy. 2-3 X-Members are chosen to come up with a plan on how to flush out the spy and catch them before they can cause real damage to the mansion.

3) South Of The Border Shipments of advanced weapons have been making their way into the hands of local New York Anti-Mutant gangs. The X-Men track down that these weapons are being manufactured and shipped from a mysterious benefactor in Mexico. 3-4 X-Men are assigned the task of destroying the weapons plant and any weapons that may be on site. For the good of everyone, humans and mutants alike, these weapon shipments cannot be allowed to continue!
X-Men: ? Outside Help: Werecat, Slade
4) Loch Ness? Lake Champlain? How About The North Pole? Report have begun filtering in from scientists stationed on the North Pole of a strange creature wandering the icy landscape. Described in a way that makes it almost match the description of the Loch Ness monster or 'Champ' in Lake Champlain, the X-Men wonder if it's a mutant in the great icy north or perhaps something else entirely. 2 X-men are dispatched to check out the situation.
i'd be interested in attending the 1st n 3rd one, slate could have "lent" me to either good or evil side to offer my skills. would prefer to fight some x-fools but i don;t mind either side really

Leila could be the Spy for (2). Plus, I'd like her to be part of (1) as one of the Baddies. To suite my Plots though, the Spy one may have to take place around End of February/March.
Well Circe would be suitable as a spy at the mansion since Hunter hold her hidden and then she was in a coma *cough*. So she could spy on the X-Men to gather information for the Kabal. So I volunteer her
The players for Spies In Our Midst have been selected as has a time frame. We need more volunteers for the other missions so if you want to join in, put your name out there!

I am aware that these missions are mostly for those in factions but I have interest in #3 for Sara. Sara has already had story lines on here where she's had trouble with gangs. Being that she is on the street, i think she would be one of the first targeted plus I'm having her push her luck more, when it comes to not concealing herself. if you people want to keep that just between the factions, then i understand and forget that i even threw Sara's name into the mix.
As far as Pix goes, I'd volunteer her as a spy but she sort of has a loud mouth. even for a bug. Plus that one seems very full already. I could see her in either #1 or #4, should the order take interest in the great Nessy.
I see Dream and Streak investigating in hiding in plain sight, also 3 or 4 I'm interested aswell. I'm sure my hacking and computer skills would come in handy.

I’ll volunteer for the Mexico mission. I’m interested in Spies and Loch Ness as well, but those seem to already be filled up. If an opening can be made, that’d be awesome. Otherwise, I’ll just watch these threads when they pop up. The party certainly sounds like it’ll be a fun thing to see. Too bad Shin doesn’t have the stealth for it.
He’d be wandering around, grinning like an idiot. Unless everyone wants to see that, in which case...
Also, I'd like to note that Shin was one of the people who brought Circe into the mansion, so if she was revealed to be a spy, he'd have some personal obligations towards exposing her and fixing his mistake... if that makes any difference at all. If not, oh well. He'll find out about the aftermath of the thread and be shocked! Shocked and dismayed.
