The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The scene playing out below Ali looked like some kind of movie, but this was live action at work. Attacks started flying and varied from fists, arrows and a fireball. Nathan.
Now flying teddy bears that explode? It was coming from the mansion roof top and there was a girl Ali didn't recognize. Watching a little longer Ali saw another figure moving towards the teddy bear flinging girl.
The other figure pinned down the girl who commenced to scream and shout as loud as she coudl for help. At the moment Ali was that help as she flew down more towards the back half of the roof top and open fired with a flame thrower style attack to blast the attacking figure off the girl.

Luke grabbed the staff that Streak had formed for him and then chaos ensued. Being used to fighting on his own, it was difficult for the blind man to actually pick a target for combat. First he was rushing toward the figure that was hiding beside a tree but before he could get close Streak and Seraph had already moved toward him.
Spinning back around Luke was forced to one knee as the sound of Raina's clear icy note filled the air. Gritting his teeth against the pain he was soon up again, moving toward the centaur that was attacking his beautiful mermaid when suddenly another person jumped in to help.
Things were moving fast.. way to fast but then Luke's sonar swept over someone that when he first saw her he hadn't pictured as a threat, but now covered by sharp looking bones she was definitely at the top of the list. From her actions it looked like she was out to kill bird man and he just couldn't let that happen. If anyone had the answers on what was happening and why it had happened it would be bird man so his death just couldn't be allowed.
Charging toward the girl Luke focused his sonar, covering the young woman in a sound wave that should confuse her vision and quite likely make her see wraiths and ghosts pretty much all around her.
"Are you just here to hunt your thanksgiving turkey or did you have a better reason for interrupting a birthday party?" Luke called out to her as he gripped his staff tightly in his right hand and continued toward her at a jog. Distraction was most important and until he knew exactly what her power was he wasn't going to just jump in blindly...
"But technically... I always jump in blindly." He thought to himself as he prepared to defend both himself and bird man.
“How will you know it’s me your blowing up?” Petunia grinned. Her scorpion poised it’s self on her hand, and held still as a statue. Pix peaked around the teddy bear, and the skin on her cheek looked like it wiggled just before bugs of all sorts, flowed from her skin. Looking like the dissolved into bees, moths, and flies. Roaches dropped to where Pix’s feet had been scurrying away and spread.
Pix had shifted to a dragon fly, and she darted to the little girl’s back, as flames shot forward from another mutant, and Pix narrowly avoided becoming pixy BBQ. Although BBQed doomly teddy bears of awesomeness might make some more fun. Now behind the little girl, Pix shifted back to her human form. Grabbed for the teddy bear girl’s shoulders and tried to shove her off of the roof.
A wide smile formed as she eyed the flying flame thrower. “Can you play catch?” Petunia chose to watch the flame thrower mutant. See if she would play catch, and if Pix could perform a nice sneak attack.

From the look how things were going things weren’t looking to good for Isabel and her friends yeah from the looks of it there was more teamwork on Isabel’s team but as the battle progressed it had seemed that these X-Men have more numbers, which might not matter but if they were anything that he heard of Isabel and her friends would be in trouble. Bacchus was there to help but he had mixed feelings about this, ‘I’m not getting paid for it and even if I was why the hell would we come to a school…’ thought Bacchus. "I'm sorry, but these doors aren't ready to go home yet. The birthday girl hasn't had a chance to see her little present yet."
A loud sigh could be heard from Bacchus as his body rapidly started to grow, “Look mate, I was asked to get those doors from Isabel and a miss Syn, and I asked nicely, so if you would be so kind please step away from them…Now!” Bacchus said raising his voice on the word ‘Now’ to the machine like man to get his point across. Now standing twenty feet tall Bacchus put one hand on the wall and felt the weight ‘isn’t to heavy…’ though Bacchus as he looked down at the significantly smaller robot now.
Bacchus let out another sigh, “Look Mate you want to fight let’s take it away from the gates…” Bacchus motioned behind the wall so no kids could see him smash the robots face in. Whenever it was possible Bacchus tried to avoid beat downs and killings in front of kids. He used to do it but after talking to Gunner on the phone he realized that it was messed up for kids to see that.
A lone dog ran towards the gates barking. Bacchus sighed again as he looked at the Rottweiler, ‘stupid dog go back to the school you’ll only get hurt here…’ Bacchus loved animal’s dogs in particular and nothing made his heart ache like seeing a dog in serious danger to protect its master who ever that may be. ‘Get the dog or get the doors…’ thought Bacchus as he looked at the particular angry dog that was barking trying to scare away the Giant and robot from the main gates.
Slade smiled softly as the man grew to three times his own size, the guy knew how to play ball. Unfortunately the wrong ball, Slade wasn't here to fight he was here just to keep the doors up for a moment longer. Either way he enjoyed pissing off the now-giant stranger. Having follow the man;s ascent with his gaze Slade, grinning with a mockery that only a metallic car could, slowly raised his gun at the doors. "Listen kid, I was never here to fight. Killing children isn't my strong point," Slade hoped the accusation here was clear, not that they guy was a kid but condescention always helped to bring that sunny light to Slade's day. "However what I am very proficient at is putting together and, more importantly, taking things apart. You want these doors in one piece you don't make a step further."
To emphasize his point he slugged a round into the wall, which shrapnelled as the round pierced and fragmented to soft brick that made up this pathetic wall. He hoped the guy had the sense to wait just a few seconds longer, then he and Slade could part their ways and no giants or doors could get hurt... The tension was cut for a short moment by barking, Slade noticed a little dog, an angry one at that. Waiting for the now-giant's response he lowered his centre of gravity slightly, if the guy even made a twitch to hit him Slade would be in car form and out of here in a second. Either way he'd win, the ploy had worked!
The sound of smashed glass filled Shade's ears as several of the lights around the complex fell to darkness. Chancing a glance back, Shade saw that it had been the spines of a certain teenager. He would have to thank Isabel later. Turning back to the group of X-men, it appeared that one of the little X-men did want to play. A man covered in silver who Shade recognized from his first trip into the school charged headlong at the crouching mutant. As the silver man approached, the delusional X-men tried to deliver a kick to Shade's face. However, the metallic man's boot met the blacken gauntlets on Shade's forearms. The kick pushed Shade back, up from his crouching position, so that he now standing. The dagger in his hand disappeared into darkness from its exposure to light as others ones, one for each hand, slid from his cloak into his palms.
"You want to dance? Then let's da-" However, before Shade could make a move, a lone fireball suddenly appeared, heading straight for him. He carefully ducked under it, wondering exactly where and who that had come from. Turning his attention back to the silver man, Shade cleared his throat before contionuing.
"Like I was saying, let's dance." As he finished his statement, a rather sorry looking teddy bear landed pericously in the middle of the two knife fighters.

Leila was still standing beside Sam now, though the scene had changed dramatically over the few seconds. Leila's hand had torn away from Sam and she had moved a few inches further away from him to avoid a dark arrow coming from somewhere nearby. Then an other arrow came at full speed, before she knew it, there were at least ten. Leila yelled, stumbling to the ground a good three feet from Sam. Great, simply great.
Leila closed her eyes, feeling nothing but wind, big gusts of wind, meaning someone, or something was moving quickly nearby. Maybe Arrows? Maybe someone to save her? Maybe someone to harm her? Yes, it was Arrows, only arrows missing her by an inch. She felt a little better now, until a sharp stab of pain made her yell out again. An arrow had pierced her left arm and a hot, wet substance was pouring out, matting her dress. Tears filled her closed eyes as she tried to restrain a sob, before she knew it, an other few arrows came her way, trhis time, a few aimed straight at her chest.
She was about to die, she knew it. She would die on her first day in the Mansion, on her first day filled with actual happiness, feeling as if she actually belonged somewhere important, she'd die the first day she started living.
(OOC: In case the subtleties were missed, Roland is currently wearing a duplicate of the Wraith[/color] suit.)
Roland checked the digital playback on the video. The lighting was good, the action superb. The scene before him could probably sell as an underground mutie action flick were it not earmarked for the company. He calibrated the remote to synchronize with the gun and the camera, so whatever was being filmed could also be shot at. The remote found a snug spot in his utility belt. He hopped over the wall, baton in hand. It looked like the one that had nearly broken his fingers when it hit. It was weighted like that one too. He pondered which one of the many targets before him could field test it for him.
There she was. Miss Duskmoor. She wasn't looking too proper and serene at the moment, with what seemed to be bony spines jutting from her body. There was a man poised to fight her, staff in hand. He might be fun to fight, Roland thought to himself. A battle of quarterstaves. It reminded Roland of Little John and Robin Hood. He tossed the baton in the air a few times, letting it land heavy in his hand. Little Miss Duskmoor, all full of huff and puff at the Sanctuary. She made an excellent choice. It partially made up for the violence he had wished on her that day.
Roland took a few quick steps and then dropped to a knee, letting the baton fly. Once he let the projectile go, he used his ability to move it directly to a few inches from the base of her neck, thereby bypassing the rigors of wind resistance and friction. Baton A meeting Neck B. Simple and sweet. As he let it fly, Roland remembered to actually reach back and pull the staff. It was hard not to use one's ability when it was so damned handy.

Streak wa sready to fight this guy. He seemed a little to cocky for having met Streak before. Though he did have to admit their first encounter didn't exactly show off either ones abilities. Streak did know more about this cloaked guy than he did of him. Which was good because Streak held the element of surprise. The kick was forceful enough that he brought the shadow guy to his feet.
"You want to dance? Then let's da-" they were both interrupted as a fire ball flew in front of Streak.
Streak ducked to avoid the fireball. When he stood back up he was hit in the back. It wasn't a hard hit, it was more like someone had thrown something at him. Glancing over his shoulder he saw the shaft of an arrow. An arrow? Who shoots arrows nowadays? First an arrow. What's next? He wondered as he pulled the arrow out of his armor and stepped back up to the cloaked figure. "Ya let's dance." Streak agreed. He was ready to fight this guy and teach him a lesson or two. Silver Streak shouldn't have asked himself that question because just as he did a teddy bear landed in between them.
Streak knew what was going to happen. He dove off to the side to avoid the explosion that was soon to follow the landing of the teddy bear. Only seconds after he had dove away the teddy bear exploded creating quite a big explosion and a nice fire cloud. Streak quickly got back to his feet and ran back over to the cloaked guy, knives poised for action.

"Damn it! Let GO!" Luna demanded, as she felt Pix begin to push her near the ledge. Panicking she formed a teddy bear made out of her last ribbon- this one was black with black eyes and a red heart on it's stomach, though Luna didn't care of the looks of the explosive. More so she was worried about falling off the mansion's roof! "Here.. Catch Bug Girl!" With that she threw it behind her several feet, the explosion was instantaneous as the small concentrated blast rocked the mansion roof, causing a decent sized hole in the roof. "Damn it... That was my last one..." "Someone HELP PLEASE!" The green haired mutant yelled scared for her life.

ooc: whoa you guys went fast, I read everything but I'm tired so if I missed something important or messed up please PM me and I'll edit!
Ic:
Raina was sent flying by the barrage of attacks. She dodged the arrows showering down on her and sang herself up an ice shield that due to the shortness of her song was very brittle and broke upon impact of the first arrow. She rolled out of the way off the rest. She heard Leila cry out and from the corner of her eye she could see a lot of red and someone struggling to help her out. "they need a destraction, they need to buy some time." she told herself getting up and standing next to Tricity.
Ok, so her first ice attempt was shattered- but Raina hadn't been trying then. She hadn't wanted to start anything because she didn't know what was going on but since all havoc was breaking lose she was going to slow things down.
"Naveed!" she yelled spying her brother in the crowd. Without waiting for his reply she slid over to him as quickly as she could- ditching the heals as she ran. "I need a boost!" she demanded leaping up onto his massive back and climbing to his shoulders ripping her party dress in the process. "Now hold me tight!" she instructed.
She let out a low gurgling song reminiscent of tubing throat singing- something not always pretty but traditional to her tribe and for this moment... full of power.
The ground beneath vibrated a little, the pebbles and stones bouncing as if on a trampoline. Her eyes clouded over and her skin went pale, her hair flew wildly around her. Raina looked like another being all together as she became immersed in the song. It wouldn't hurt anyone's ears being this low- but they'd fell and odd bassy feeling in their stomach as if someone below them was playing their stereo too loud.
The earth beneath the feet of everyone in a 50ft radius continued to tremble and shake, then without working Icy hands shot up from the ground wraping their icicles fingers around the ankles of any order member. Sure- they'd miss some, some people would be far too strong to be affected, but with a surprise attack like that she was sure to send some of them falling to the ground.
She continued the song using all the energy she had and anyone hooked but the ice hands would be dragged knee deep into the dirt before the ice melted away.
She kept up the song in her throat and would until someone knocked her down off Naveed. The icy hands would continue to shoot up from the ground even after losing the element of surprise at the Order members until Raina stopped or ran out of energy.
OOC: don't feel oblidged to be affected at all by these icey hands, they're just ice and fragile... but they'd surprise someone and send them to the ground
The scene was chaos. Pure chaos. Her eyes darted around to see how everyone was fairing. Couldn't they just be left alone? Was The Order that blindingly stupid? 'Apparently.' Tricity's attention broke at the sounds of small explosions across the grounds and not a moment later, two falling teddy bears fell within five feet of where she and Syn were facing off. They looked at each other for a moment before darting in opposite directions. The explosion sent Tricity forward, but she quickly rolled through the jolt and sprang to her feet again. 'It's raining stuffed animals,' she thought as her gaze went toward the roof. There was Luna. Tricity gritted her teeth from the thought of the small girl trying to help them now.
Something quickly flew up toward the roof where she heard screams for help. 'No...' Tricity thought as she saw Luna scrambling around. From the ground, it was hard to tell what was happening, but it seemed Raven was engaged with another Order member above in hopes of protecting Luna.
The ground shook. 'Now what?' It had only been a few moments since the explosive toys had fallen and she could see Syn coming out of the smokey aftermath and toward her once more. The earth tore open and ice hands were exploding from within, wrapping around some of the opposing force. She immediately looked toward Raina and saw her teammate atop her brother's shoulders.
Tricity took the initiative. Syn would have to wait...
The eletricity folded unto herself and surged through her arms instead, where the familiar blue swirls of sparking energy formed into her hands. Her attention never left Syn, however. The woman was still stalking forth and she most likely was thinking Tricity was preparing her first blow. No. Tricity remembered Syn's mutation quite well and knew she had to be careful and strategic.
She sent the surging blasts at the icy hands which had gripped some of The Order. Electricity formed with ice was a powerful and incapacitating kind of combo. Tricity knew first hand as a recipient... Whoever was caught in this attack would surely go down.
Pix was learning the paturn of this little girl’s attacks fast. The teddy bear started to form, and Pix set her own skin, leterally crawling. Again bugs spread out and wiggled free from the stretched pours of her skin, and she dissolved into another cloud of various insects. A few wasps moved in to try to sting the little girl, mean while the white moths, dispersed around the two, in an attempt to make it harder for those outside, to see them. Though the fire, if it did reach the bugs, made short work of their papery wings.
Petunia used her wings, to swing around the little girl, trying to duck down below the ledge of the roof, where they were standing, and grab the girl’s ankles at the same time. The explosion singed the edges of Pix’s large wings as it also gave her, and possibly the little girl, and extra push off of the roof. Pix holding onto her ankle, as her wings buzzed into motion.
"Damn it... That was my last one..."
“That’s a very bad word for someone your age to know.” Pix scolded.
"Someone HELP PLEASE!"
“Oh yeah. Help!” Pix taunted the little girl as she let out a high pitched giggle. We're about to play ring around hte rosy Pix thought to herself as she tried tugging the girl off of the roof.
Now where was the flame lady? Things were happening in a flash, it was hard to keep track of others.
This was just too good. The Queen of Villainous Hormones was body-slamming Miss Sparky, exploding teddy bears were raining like candy down on everyone's parade, Miss Care Bear of Snowflakes was trying to break everyone's eardrums and put the fear of frost on the Order's ankles, the red-eyed guy had picked him up by the neck and let him go, and Katrina had safely run back inside where thirteen year olds should be after recently passed shouts of age discrimination.
And Isabel was barreling down the lawn to stab him. Awwwww, Justice is Blind was rushing to his rescue, and... apparently Wraith was running interference on the whole scene. Huh. Yeah. Yeah, this was good enough to start hurting his brain, actually.
"Hey, Slade! No offense, buddy, but I think it's time for me to fly!" He shouted down the lawn at his fellow innocent release valve for inter-faction tensions. There was a spiked shoulder that could only be described as dangerous being leveled at his feathery midsection, with the force of a collision safety test behind it. Fly, fly, little bird. He'd fly while he was able. In a more literal sense than most.
He dodged the ribboned girl's bulldozer attack in a rather neat shifting manner, if he did say so himself; even with the Doppleganger's baton lookin' to be thrown at her neck and the Nobly Handicapped wielding a staff on his behalf, he still felt it prudent to remove himself from the path of impaled destruction. A pair of pants with associated boxers fell to the ground, followed in short order by a shirt. The FedEx hat stayed in place for a second of cluttered mid-air flapping. The crow--the honest-to-goodness crow, not to be confused with a crow man--caught the hat in one clawed foot as it fell. As it winged its way higher into the air, it took careful aim, and let the hat drop directly down towards the ribboned girl's head.
"Don't stab the messenger, sweetheart!" He grackled. A lame parting shot, if ever there was one. He winged over the battle, giving wide berth to a certain giant and a see-you-later caw to the werecar holding him off. Teamwork was for the X-Fool's "team" and the Order's "family". Chimera trusted that the car man could take care of himself just fine, or he never would have been recruited to the Kabal.
And his soul from out that battle that lies flood-lit on the lawn shall be lifted... to the nearest safe spot to watch from. This was too good to miss, but a bit too messy for close-ups. The crow disappeared into the forest that ever-so-conveniently bordered the X-Fools playpen, to find himself a nice tall perch. He really should have brought popcorn. Really, it just went to show that no plan was perfect.
((ooc: If folks would let my fine feathered self escape unmolested, this'll be my exit post. I'd love to join in the brawl, but it's lookin' like it'll be upwards of two weeks until I can post again, what with my trip back home for Christmas, and I'd hate to slow anyone down for the fun.
Remember, Order: those broken noses look good on you, but those broken walls look better on the back of X-Fool heads. ))
