The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Naveed heard Raina call his name and spun around just as she started climbing him like a jungle gym. "Whoa woman!" he yelled. "Why'd you come out? You should have stayed in there with Flloyd and your guests!" his complaints fell on deaf ears as Raina ordered him to hold her and stay still. With a groan he reached up and held his sisters legs tightly and braced as she started to sing.
Now this was one thing he could help her out on. He was familiar with the throat singing she was doing as it was something from their tribe and he was curious to see what would happen by using it. So he started tubing along with her adding a deeper bass to her sound. He held her tight and could momentarily feel the power coursing through her. His eyes scanned the area to watch for attacks. If someone attacked him or Raina he was confident he could pull her out of harms way quickly enough.
He watched as the ground began to tremble like a speaker- the little pieces of dirt dancing around. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Tricity. He hadn't met her yet but Raina had told him much about her. She was the headmistress here and she wasvery powerful. He could see that when the sparks started flying from her.
Note to self, don't make that lady mad
he continued holding Raina tightly and watching for other attacks. He wondered what Flloyd was doing- they could probably use him to balance out some of these attacks
Well, apparently the little crow man could fly, but only when shifting into a more natural looking form. Quickly she straightened her posture from her intended attack and spun to look up after the considerably smaller bird that was now in the air. She got one arm raised about halfway up the length of her body, intending to set a few spikes flying after the avian when her vision blurred a bit and set shadowy shapes dancing at the edge of her sight. Oh look, someone else wanted to play. It was another young man that she didn't recognize, undoubtedly a new addition to the Mansion since her last brawl with the X-Morons, and he was wielding nothing but a silver staff. She nearly laughed at the thought of someone beating her with something so simple, though the fury still bubbling under her skin prevented her from doing so. Easily she turned to face the oncoming rescuer when something landed atop her head, causing her to jump a bit to the side, not knowing yet what it had been. Reaching up to retrieve what was apparently the hat from the crow man's uniform, she promptly ripped it from her skull and proceeded to tear it into pieces, barely paying any attention to what was being shouted at her. If this boy wanted to play, then she would oblige, and hopefully she'd be able to shake off the distortions her vision had suddenly taken on, presumably caused by the staff wielder. However, it seemed like she'd be delayed even further from doing damage to anyone just yet. The moment she'd let the last few pieces of the shredded former hat fall from her fingers and she'd gone to move toward the oncoming stranger, she was hit from behind with noteworthy force, complete with a resounded crack and everything.
Clumsily Isabel stumbled forward, thankful that her body was so reinforced, otherwise she was sure that hit could have broken her neck or done some other serious damage. She had just turned her head to locate what it had been that she'd been struck with when her already unsteady advance was further impeded by icy hands grasping blindly for her ankles. She'd been exposed to slicker surfaces in her past battle with the X-Nerds, and she'd be damned if she went down for something as simple as being tripped. Sticking the tip of her bone sword into the ground to prevent herself from toppling over, she dislodged the spiked that covered her ankles, lodging them in the hands emerging from the ground, pleased to find that they were rather fragile. Spitefully stomping a foot down on one, she lifted her weight off it just a second or so before a few sparks emerged from the icy shards. She had no time to wonder over such a thing or to consider how lucky it was she hadn't just been fried, as she remembered the young man that had been coming after her. Looking back up to where she'd last seen him, she scrambled a few steps off to the side to prevent being run into by the stranger. Thee were far too many distractions being thrown at her, literally and otherwise, and with her sight somehow being messed with, she was really going to be forced into focusing on one thing at a time. Unfortunately for the wannabee hero, he was going to be her focusing point. "You want to play, kid?" she shouted, still furious at all the disorienting chaos, fighting back the dizziness and distractions that were pressing at her. "Let's see what you've got!" Shifting from defensive to offensive, she quickly made a jab at the young man that had singled her out, the sword that rested in her palm significantly extending her reach as she slashed at him, the bone beginning to rotate, turning it into a twisted sort of drill.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Trying to keep Tricity pinned to the ground in the midst of many mutants was harder than Syn had anticipated. For a moment she felt her feet getting cold and restricted, but then they were freed. Unfortunately Tricity had gotten some distance while Syn looked to see where the ice had tried to hold her but a pitch black knife from Shade had shattered the attempt. Next came objects from the roof that exploded. One of which got a bit too close and caused Syn to back off several more feet away from Tricity. All of this was infuriating her even more.
With the dust and smoke blocking her view of her prey for the moment Syn checked on her people. So far they all were holding their own against one or more attackers. The sight brought a twisted smile to Syn's face as she refocused on getting to Tricity.
Walking through the dispersing clouds sent up by the explosions Syn continued forward. She heard a shrill sound as more ice tried to grab at her, but now being on her feet she was able to remain free as she smashed the ice with her boots. Eyes locked on Tricity again as Syn continued on like an unstoppable force. With her hands up this time the Headmistress was charging up her electricity. Syn smiled in her advance.
This would be a two prong attack. Syn snatched up a chunk of the ground which had been blown up and hurled it right for the singing ice witch's chest. This would hopfully either knock her down or at least get her to stop grabby ice hands. Once the clod had been sent sailing on it's way Syn once again ran straight for Tricity. Even if her attempt to stop the ice woman failed she could still use her momentum to launch herself at her intended target. To top this all off Syn began releasing pheremones to unleash sheer terror in the X-Men once she landed. Seeing as she was about to land amongst a group of them, and her Order members had moved off to their own areas to fight.

Things were happening fast... all around the field of battle ice hands were reaching up and trying to grab all of the individuals that had chosen to interrupt Raina's birthday party. This was obviously a lesson that they would begin to understand after today.
Never... absolutely never interrupt a woman's birthday party!
Bone woman had apparently given up her more elusive prey and was now turning to face him. Perfect... except of course for the fact that bird man had escaped. But just as Luke was about to face off with her, things got even more confusing. Out of nowhere a baton slammed into his opponent making him realize just how powerful the younger woman was.
"Wonderful... absolutely wonderful." Luke thought angrily as the woman yelled at him, "Just what I need!"
Handling the staff deftly Luke knocked aside the now spinning bone sword as he pivoted on his foot and dropped low in an attempt to sweep the young woman's feet out from under her.
"Didn't your parents ever tell you it's not nice to play with sharp objects?!" Luke shouted back over the noise of the battle as he lept away without even worrying about whether his foot sweep had been effective or not. If this girl was as tough as he had just seen he would have to focus on speed to both deliver blows and keep away from her attacks. "So what's your problem anyway?" He continued, hoping that the conversation would keep her rattled, "Do you just hate birds or something?"
Right about now Luke was really wishing he knew something about his opponent instead of just facing her blindly. It was hard to pull off surprises when you didn't know what might be surprising.
Isabel let out a snarl of annoyance as her first attack was forced away by her intended target as he dipped in her sights and swept out one of his legs in a counter attack. However, even as distracted as she was, Isabel wasn't completely unaware of what was going on around her. She was growing a bit clumsier and she knew it, and therefore she was making an effort not only to keep track of her playmate, but also to at least take note of her immediate surroundings. She wasn't effectively going to be able to avoid his attempt to send her to the ground without at least tripping and stumbling, which may just end up with her on the ground anyways, and with her arm having been knocked back by his deflection of his attack, there was also a good chance she couldn't use the same trick of catching herself again just yet. So, instead of trying to avoid it, she allowed the young man's leg to connect with her own, giving the smallest of skips to prevent herself from being completely knocked back, giving herself a bit of room to move and catch herself a little. She managed to get one foot back on the ground, the slight twisting of her body sending her pitching forward onto one knee, her clawed hand also connecting with the ground to steady herself. "Didn't your parents ever teach you not to start fights with girls?" she shot back in reply the the young man's comment, taking a moment to see where he'd backed off to before letting her gaze rove over the ground in order to locate what she was looking for. With a smug little grin, she wrapped her clawed hand around the object she'd been seeking, not having moved very far from it before the young man had gotten too close to her.
Rising back to her feet, she just laughed at his little comments, her grin widening viciously as she did so. "Don't tell me you don't know the reason we're here, my dear," she cooed mockingly. Connect the dots, little X-Fool. Those were their golden doors hung up in the Mansion's gateway where they didn't belong. But, it was also the X-Nerd's nest they were fighting in. The Order and the X-Men had never gotten along. They had always gotten in the Order's way and mucked up some of the darker faction's plans. And in Isabel's eyes, they were even lower than the humans. Mutants were not meant to fit into the human society. They were the next step in evolution and were meant to replace the humans someday. Their rightful place was above the inferior homo sapiens, and to allow that scum to walk all over them in an attempt to show them that mutants were no different than they were was just plain insulting. They were no better than humans, and as such they would be treated like the scum they served. Quickly, if not a bit unsteadily, she dodged another set of icy hands rising from the ground and continued moving, falling into another charge aimed straight for her playmate. Her sword was still spinning in one hand, and rather than just the long claw-like bones in the other, she now also held the baton that had been thrown at her by an unknown individual. This X-Dweeb had one staff, and as such she anticipated he could only block one of her weapons at a time. Isabel may be reckless, but she didn't always jump in without any thought at all. "Only certain birds, my dear," she shot back as she swung the baton at the young man, aiming to bring it down on his skull, "Like the roost of Chickens living here!" Anticipating he'd use his staff to block the first attack, she also swung with her sword, aiming to plant the spinning blade into his midsection.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.

The green haired girl did her best to fight off her bug spewing attacker. From seemingly out of nowhere the girl produced a black teddy bear and tossed it at the insect woman. The teddy bear exploded and only helped in increase the pair's unstable battle on the roof.
Now bug girl was trying to take both girls over the edge of the roof. Ali finally got to Luna and wrapped her left arm under Luna's arms. With her right hand Ali fired another flamethrowing attack at the bug mutant.
Correcting his grasp upon the throttle Zephyr’s fingers tightened around the device as his wrist rolled forward, urging even greater speeds from the already racing vehicle, causing the typically silent engine to roar as it fuel consumption soared; sending both machine and rider hurtling down the ivory line designed to separate opposing flows of traffic. Such an action, while apparently reckless, nonetheless allowed the elemental to bypass his fellow motorists, a fact which seemed to displease many if the multitude of horns and sirens in the ever fading distance were any indication, yet the mercenary paid them no heed, for in truth what they could do? His motorcycle possessed a five cylinder Toyota engine and could easily surpass anything short of a formula one vehicle, and even then it would be a close call. As for aerial pursuit, the city police were in the Kabals back pocket and the mayor was kept on a leash short enough hang from, in short the hazel haired merc would have no problems with the local law enforcement this day, especially considering he was actually out on business for once.
‘What the hell is the Order playing at?’
The thought raced through the elementals mind as he diverged from his current path, crossing three lanes of traffic in order to utilize an exit ramp heading out of the city. The fact that the chaotic and rebellious group had chosen to assault another mutant faction wasn’t, in itself, a terribly astounding event, verily the Order was really nothing more than a high class street gang, with their almost radical beliefs in superiority and the close knit “family” style relationship among its members. So indeed from this point of view territorial attacks were almost to be expected and as such the Xavier institute was the most logical target of such a strike and normally Zephyr would have been perfectly satisfied for the two groups to beat each other senseless, hell he would have had tech heads at Mondragon labs commandeer a surveillance satellite so he could observe the fray at leisure. However, the current leader of the Order had possessed the gall to request reinforcements for their petty raid and, for some illogical reason, the Kabals blood sucking commander had accepted, and so it was that the merc found himself surging down narrowing country roads as he closed in on the Xavier sister school.
Despite the undoubtedly pestiferous nature of his assignment however Simon had managed to find something of a silver lining, thin though it might be, in the fact that he would be able to check up on a certain blonde haired doppelganger and make damn sure she steered cleared of the foolish fiasco. Undoubtedly Katrina would be displeased about this and likely even more so when he began attacking what were likely her friends, however provided he abstained from killing any of the adolescents friends the elemental was reasonably certain the ingénue would forgive him at some point in time, he could always offer to take her flying again if nothing else… a smirk crept across the mercenary’s masked features as he recalled Katrina’s first experience with weightlessness and he released a low chuckle which gradually died away as he finally arrived at his destination and eyed a most interesting scene.
Zephyr did not often frequent the mansion, it wasn’t that he disliked the place simply that it was rather out of the way, however one thing he had come to notice during rare visitations was that the institute seemed to subsist in a state of constant repair. Initially he’d dismissed the poor condition as a consequence of housing the individuals that it did, now though, as he glanced about the battle before him it occurred to the elemental that his assumptions had likely only been partly correct. Everywhere he looked fights were initiating or already in progress and despite their apparent lack of numbers, for simon was not yet familiar with each of the members, the Order had yet to be pushed back perchance a testament to their prowess or perhaps evidence of their lack of common sense and inability to recognize a losing battle, who could tell?
In either case Simon could not afford to delay much longer, doing so would not only be counterproductive to his purpose appearing in the first place, it also left him open to any who felt a lone rider was an appealing target and considering he was almost unknown to many of the Order members he was just as likely to be struck by friend or foe until he demonstrated where his allegiance lay, especially considering the appearance of his darkened riding apparel which did little to suggest a welcoming aura. ‘No time like the present.’ He mused idly before revving his engine once more and darting through the oddly conspicuous golden gates and past a rather large behemoth who seemed to be having words with a far smaller, and somewhat familiar, robotic titan. Then, into the grounds themselves, Zephyr navigated his machine off the paved path, directing the vehicle as he best he could over the earth before shifting his weight and forcing the motorbike into a controlled slide which caused it to halt along what seemed to be the sidelines of the battle. Now, close enough to participate but not yet within range of the various melees to be considered a threat as the elemental cast about for target when, abruptly, the very air began to pulse and an unnatural melody reached the mercenary’s ears. Without warning icy limbs swiftly spun into existence, moving swiftly they coiled around the legs of any intruders and sought to drag the unwary into the earth and Zephyr was no exception; even before his feet had brushed the soil a multitude of icy limbs rose up and latched onto his vehicle forcing the elemental to abandon his machine and conjure a torrent of wind to remove himself from the undesirable situation while his ash gray motorbike was gradually dragged downwards.
‘I just had it cleaned… typical.’ Simon thought with no small amount of irritation as he touched down on a paved path within the grounds and cast about for the source of the aggravating aria, idly crushing the gelid limbs with well placed air blades as they once more attempted to enfetter him. ‘There she is.’ Zephyr’s eyes narrowed as he focused upon the crimson haired harpy straddling a paled skinned goliath. It was evident to all present the medium of the wench’s power and thus its weakness, and for one who manipulated the very air neutralizing such a mutation proved little difficulty.
Extending his thoughts towards the ice witch Zephyr imposed his will on the air surrounding his target even as she was struck by an attack from another, crafting it to a design he had long since perfected as he swiftly forced the air to separate and abandon a thin membrane of space around the woman and her guardian, in effect creating a shell of silence around the two which immediately ended their curious chant for all those outside.
‘This is a battle, not a concert.’

The soft, harmless looking teddy bear was quite a surprise in the midst of a mutant battle. It was even a greater surprise when his battle mate immediately dove for cover after spotting the stuffed little toy. Tilting his head in bewilderment, Shade could only shrug in wonder at the bizarre scene. Suddenly, fur and cotton were replaced with fire and heat as the bear erupted into an inferno. The cloaked mutant only had time to throw his hands in front of his face before the blast smashed into him, knocking him back several feet. He landed in a smoldering heap. He coughed horsely, trying to regain his breathe. Pushing himself to one knee, Shade lifted a blacken face to look out for his silver friend. Seeing the metallic man appear through the cloud of dust and smoke, the hooded mutant uttered a groan as he quickly prepared to defend himself.
The two mutants danced as their blades clashed. Whisps of smoke formed continually as Shade's daggers disappeared into darkness before another magically appeared from beneath his cloak. However, the blast seemed to have taken something out of the Order member as he was often pushed back by the blows of the man in silver. Glimsping a patch of darkness, cordencely donated by Isabel, Shade planned to make a quick escape. However, as he broke blades and jumped into the darkness, something grabbed him anchoring him to the spot. Then a wave of eletricity blasted through his body. The invisible mutant fell to all fours and he tried to recover from the shock. At the moment, his mind was fried and he couldn't think straight enough to teleport away. The disoriented Shade glanced towards his attacker to see if the silver man had any knowledge of his where abouts. An invisible dagger, hidden in his hand, would ensure he could at least somewhat defend himself.
Raina's ice attack seemed to be working very well for the most part until "Syn" sent something large flying toward her. "Down we go!" said Naveed acting like a pro-gymnist and pulling Raina's legs together and dropping her down to the ground like a jack knife. He gave her a push to send her closer to the ground and whatever Syn threw just smacked him hard in the face. His ears were ringing from the pain, his eyes stung and watered, and he was sure his nose was bleeding. He stood still a moment seeing nothing but stars and feeling the blood gush out of his nose.
"Get outta here Raina... " he was starting to feel afraid though he didn't know why. Previously the thought of battle hadn't bothered him but now it was like Flloyd was gushing his powers full throttle on him though he knew Flloyd wouldn't do that. So... there was a mutant here who could also affect moods? Or something similiar? He wasn't sure.
When he thought Raina was out of the way he fell back on his butt on the ground and waited to be able to see again. "What the hell did she hit me with?" he moaned.

Raina was fully emeresed in using her powers. She was concentrating on making the hands grab at anything they could and she could almost feel the residual charge of the electricty in her veins from Tricity's attack. She made a mental note to consider asking Tricity to train with her- if they got some practice in together they'd make an unstopable force. Of course, if Raina wasn't a soaking wet fish. Then Tricity might make for an excellent chef.
She was concentrating so much that she was rather confused when Naveed slammed her legs togeather which were parted each standing on one of his shoulders, and brought her smashing into the ground. "What the he-?" she landed on her stomach and in a crawling position she swung herself around to look at him. He'd been hit with something. "Navi?" she called out wriggling over to him like a soldier under barbed wire. There was blood everywhere. "Oh shit." it wasn't like Raina to swear but this was one of those small moments where practically anyone would. "You're bleeding. Is it your nose or your face? Do you need stitches?" She reached down and tore a shred of her dress and passed it to him. "Here, take this. Hold it over whatever's bleeding and keep your head back." as she passed him the material she saw how bruised his face was coming. "Holy hell, what she hit you with?" of course it was Syn. Raina was using an attack to affect everyone so she'd be the first one Syn tried to take out. "Just stay low. I think I used up most of my energy on those ice hands and I don't know if they bought us any time or not." she pulled her brother's long hair out of his eyes and away from the bloody mat.
OOC: Flloyd can't post from work so I'm paraphrasing from his blackberry here, please excuse the Raina style tendencies in the post, he should be able to follow through on his own later but didn't want it getting too far ahead. -Raina
IC:
Flloyd didn't want to get involved. He wasn't supposed to get involved in Raina's affairs. Hell, coming to the party in the first place was probably a bad idea. But now... now that there was a relative battle going on at the mansion gates he really felt this to be a bad idea.
He stayed back at the party until a bald guy came around rounding people up and putting them in safer places. That told him something bigger was up then what the shiny guy first thought. Naveed had stormed out looking to blow off some steam anyway but when no one came back and he started to hear noises not to mention the lights flickering his over protectiveness of the only family he had kicked in.
He'd kept to the shadows as he apparoached. There were powerful mutants here. One was affecting the mood. Your average mutant may not be able to tell something like this but as Flloyd read the fears around him he settled on a woman with little fears at all. His eyes bore into her though she wasn't looking in his direction. Being able to cause fear in people had taught Flloyd how to tell the difference between sincere feelings and fake ones. Right now the area was wriggling with fear on the x-men side and bloodlust on whoever's side was attacking.
He was enthralled with the woman- no doubt a part of her ability, but in an even stronger curious way. He hadn't yet met a mutant with a power similiar to his- even if hers was stronger. He smiled to himself as he continued approaching standing in the middle of the group. Then... then he concentrated. He concentrated on reading the fears around him. The x-men were already pretty elevated so this would take some skill to not send them over the edge. He had no ability to change emotions other than fear so he couldn't lessen what they were going through but he could even out the playing field just a bit.
He focused on anyone he knew wasn't an x-men and hoped he wasn't getting an x-men by mistake. He read their fears. Soon they'd feel scared, even terrified. If they gave into those feelings for even a second he'd feed on their fears and they'd see images of whatever it was they were afraid of.
Naturally this would draw the attention of the woman. He wasn't opposed to that. This might become an interesting power struggle between the two of them.
OOC: SO it's up to you guys if you're affected by the fears but it should affect you even just a little and feel free to be an x-men who gets attacked accidently. Syn, Flloyd is pretty neutral and could be swayed to your side

The staff was an amazing weapon when used by the right person. A single piece of wood, metal, or some other material as long if not slightly longer than the wielder's height, it provided so many opportunities for defense as well as offense.
"Lady, last time I checked I wasn't your dear!" Luke snapped back as he reflexively lifted his staff up, catching the baton on the end of the weapon, just outside of his right hand. Even as the baton thudded loudly against the staff the blind man realized he had made a mistake. His whole body was exposed and bone girl was taking advantage of it.
There wasn't time to plan or think about the downside of any particular move. All he could do was move, allowing his reactions and subconscious mind to take over. Maintaining his left hand position as a pivot point Luke side stepped ever so slightly as he suddenly allowed his right hand to drop, combining his strength with the pressure Isabel was exerting on the baton. Arcing swiftly across his body, Luke's silver staff slammed into Isabel's bone sword and kept him from taking a mortal wound but even with his speed he wasn't fast enough. Isabel's sword gouged into his side, taking out a chunk of shirt and flesh before his staff completely knocked the weapon away.
Hissing in pain through gritted teeth Luke knew he had to get room to maneuver so without a though he dove in the direction he had been spinning. Catching himself on his hands he went into a twisting shoulder roll that allowed him to come back up into a crouch facing Isabel just a few feet away. Somewhere through the roll Luke's sunglasses had been left behind on the dirt, leaving just his hazy blue eyes staring at her.
"I'm afraid I can't see your reasoning so why don't you spell it to me... What... Do... You... Want?!" Luke gritted out, as he held his staff in front of him while trying to ignore the feeling of blood beginning to run down his side. He had told Neena that he wasn't any good against other mutants and it sure looked like he was about to be proven right.
Isabel gave a smug little smirk as her opponent protested to her little pet names. Aw, did she strike a nerve with that one? The smirk widened into yet another grin when she saw him raise his own staff to prevent the attack she'd initiated with her own. Silly little X-Fool. At least he was cooperating with her. Her games were always so much more fun when her playmates cooperated, though she didn't mind a little rebellion every now and again, as this individual demonstrated by nearly dodging her second strike. Her second hit wasn't as successful as she'd hoped it would have been, but she could still feel the tearing of his shirt and the give of his flesh as the spines drove into him for the briefest of moments. A small gouge, but she was pleased enough to have drawn first blood. If he kept up his minor cooperations, she could very well do far more damage, a thought that was only too appealing. That pleased little grin of hers faltered only the slightest bit as the point of pressure between the two staffs shifted in order for her second attack to be deflected. With a continued fraction of uncertainty in her movements, she stumbled a bit with the shifting movements before quickly catching herself and turning to find where her playmate had darted off to, shifting her body to face him once again once she'd spotted him crouched a short distance from where she stood. She had him on the defensive, and she knew it. This young man wouldn't stand much of a chance if all he planned on doing was deflecting what she threw at him while at the same time trying to put distance between him and herself. She wasn't quite ready to let this little chick get away from her. She'd only just begun having her fun. And being as absorbed in her smug thoughts as she was, she didn't even register the glassy look of his eyes before something crunched underfoot when she began moving.
With a slight look of puzzlement, her attention shifted to the ground for a moment, expecting to find more ice, but finding a pair of sunglasses instead. "Lose something?" she teased, looking back to her opponent nonchalantly before the haziness of his gaze registered in her mind. A short look of realization crossed her features, but only for a moment before it melted away into her previous smugness. So the guy was blind, was he? How interesting. She'd never fought a blind individual before. However, he was also a mutant, so she couldn't just assume that he couldn't see anything at all. She was already blaming him for the issues she was having with her own vision, so she didn't doubt he had ways of making up for his own lack of natural sight. "Aw, poor baby," she cooed as she advanced, dislodging the long spikes from her fingertips to function as needles that could be thrown instead. "I have no pity for your lack of sight, Chickie. Your little X-Fools are just as blind as you are," she continued, her pace holding none of its earlier urgency, the young girl having instead taken up a more leisurely gait, playing the part of the predator that had its prey pinned already and using that display to push down the unexplained wave of unease that had threatened to get in her way. "You may not be able to see them, but those are our lovely doors being propped up by your walls. However, if you think that's the only reason that I am personally here, then you still have a lot to learn." With a sudden jerk of her left hand, she let loose three of the five needles, expecting the young man would try and dodge them, though she still has skeptical thoughts of exactly how fast he was. He was crouched on the ground, after all. Immediately after the release of the needles, she fell into a quick sprint behind them, bringing her sword around for another jab, a few of the spines decorating her body also dislodging and looking to strike down her foe.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.

"Listen kid, I was never here to fight. Killing children isn't my strong point,"
‘Kid?’ thought Bacchus s he looked at the miniature car in front of him. ‘what is it with everyone calling me kid? I’m 18 years old I am a damn adult back home..’ thought Bacchus. "That's good cause i ain't a kid!" said Bacchus with a smile on his face. "However what I am very proficient at is putting together and, more importantly, taking things apart. You want these doors in one piece you don't make a step further."
Bacchus started to laugh, loud. The mansion grounds echoed with laughter as Bacchus took a step closer to the car, and then another and another. Lowering his voice so no one but the car could here him, “I could give a rats ass bout these doors, I can take them in one piece or in pieces, I was asked to grab the doors and that’s it. No one ever said anything about making sure it was undamaged.”
Bacchus put his other hand on the door as a car shot in between him and the metallic shrimp. ‘Looks like a party back home,’ thought Bacchus as he ripped the one of the large golden doors from the wall. Bacchus lifted it to the side and made it look like he was going to swing it at the metallic figure. “Later Mate!” said Bacchus with a loud chuckle.

OOC: Thanks Zephyr. I'll take you up on your offer. And that's fine about the posting speed.
IC: Nathan surveyed the scene around him. The shadow mutant that he intended his his fireball for had dodged and was engaged with Streak at the moment. All the other mutants had apparently paired up with some opponents as well. Nathan thought about joining but it really didn't fit with his notion of fairplay, unless his friends were simply outmatched. And by the looks of it, they were all holding there own.
Nathan heard a voice above the clashing of the ensuing battle. It was a female voice. One that he new quite well. The fire elemental's thought instantly shifted to Ali and his eyes began to search for her. He found her. She was in the air above the Mansion roof. And there wasn't ahything he could do about it in his current state.
Nathan suddenly was struck by a very powerful emotion. Fear. It was odd though. Nathan had no fear for himself only the red headed girl flying above the Mansion roof. It wasn't completely overwhelming but the suddenness of the feeling got past his guard. The powerful emotion set in motion the the change that would enable him to achieve the likeness of an angel. And enhancing his "fire power" as well.
It was over in less than 10 seconds and the usual pain that accompanied it was considerably less than the last time the transformation took place. The change caused him to lose his shirt in the process revealing a tan and toned torso. Nathan figured his shirt wouldn't have protected him much anyway.
There was one side affect that was unanticipated though. The fear that had brought on his transformation had lessened and was now at a controlable level. It was probably one of the mutants we were facing. With his emotions now managable Nathan turned his attention else where looking for an unengaged opponent.
The fire elemental did not have to look very long. A young man had avoided one of Riana's ice hands only to have his motorcycle claimed at the expense. He avoided it by...flying? This is perfect. I'll handle him because there's only a few flyers with the X-Men. It's only fair... Nathan could not suppress a chuckle at the absurdness of his last thought as he launched himself into the air at the flying boy.
