The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was just another day of Alexandra's life when, bored, she decided to get out and cause some mischief on the New York streets. She walked calmly, and thanks to her special contact lenses she used her powers without being noticed by the humans... or mutants. Mysterious bumps or holes appeared in the sidewalk, causing certain people to trip and fall. Oh, she would have done much more if she knew that she wouldn't find herself in danger. Given the situation, she had to declare herself happy with indirectly hurting people.
(OOC: I'm guessing this is before the break-out. However, if it isn't, i will change it.)
After several weeks of being coopped up in a foreign facility for the fear of being captured, Shade had finally escaped that musty compound to wander the streets of New York City. Cash was a problem as at the moment he had no form of income and the little money he did have in the bank was frozen as he was a fleeing fugitive. With little other options, Shade had resorted to the classic pocket picking. This naturally led him to the most crowded streets.
Walking along the street of Times Sqaure, the hooded mutant carefully chose his victim. It was a middle aged woman with a large over-sized purse, perfect for a quick snatch and grab. Moving into position, Shade slowly matched the woman's stride before he slipped his hand into her purse. The shaded inside of it made his hand vanish upto his wrist. Suddenly, a small bump but diastrous bump caused Shade to lose his balance. He grabbed the woman shoulder instinctively with his free hand, causing her to turn and lock her gaze on Shade, his invisble hand still buried in her bag.
"Sss...sorry?" Shade said doubtfully as he tried to make his face smile nicely. The woman frowned and ripped her bag from Shade's grasp. Muttering under her breath, she quickly disappeared back into the crowd as Shade remained motionless, his fake smile still stuck on his face. Finally, when he was sure she had gone, the man's evil smirk slowly returned to his face. Sliding the offending hand out of his sleeve, Shade licked his lips as he carefully counted the wad of bills in his hand.
Dozing peacefully Slade rested silently in his car form, that of an Audi R8, automatically retuning his radio as his thoughts passed sleepily from dream to dream. Slade had often been told by his old friend Goosh that this must be some form of sleep talk but Slade had always quashed at the thought. He missed Goosh, he could do with a friend in these dark times. A sudden crash jolted him out of his reverie as something fell onto him, shock pulsed through his train of thoughts and out of reflex he transformed into his humanoid form. Folding upwards from the middle his car form bent in half, shrinking and curling into itself and separating into limbs, torso and head. Then Slade fully woke up, he knew he'd f*cked up.
Screams began to ripple from his location as more and more humans jumped at the sight of a mutant in open view. Fear coarsed through his systems as he looked around wildly, engine servix and pistons whining and tensing in growing fear. The human who had somehow tripped into him was gazing up eyes-wide, mouthing silently in wonder and fear. How could he have been so careless? Over the road he saw police beginning to overcome the initial shock and were beginning to claw for their radios. He'd seen this before, d**n pigs called for back up and before you knew it the place was crawling with mutant haters of the worst kind.
The sh*t really had hit the fan and he just hoped he could take out those cops before they got him in some real trouble...

After finally making it to NYC Sam felt a since of emptiness, after realizing that he arrived to late to help the captured mutants. Wondering if there is even a point to go to the camps, it could lead to his own capture. Not wanting to risk it, he decides against it and decides to walk around the city looking for something to do. Realizing it’s been a while since he had food or a place to stay and a good sleep. Reaching in his back pocket he pulled out his wallet and saw a dollar. “ Well this sucks, looks like I’m not going to eat for a while.” After walking around he saw one or two street performers scraping together some cash while playing some musical instruments. The light bulb in his head clicked, as he thought to himself, survival one-o-one, is resourceful play to your strengths. One thing that Sam was confident with is his skills regarding instruments. He walked over to a back ally and made sure no one was around and then made a guitar out of ice by condensing the air and freezing it to the shape he wanted, he was ready to make some cash. He walked back to the group of men who were playing and asked, “mind if I join in?” The three men playing their instrument smiled and welcomed Sam like he was one of them. They started to play and then hoards of people walked by and either stayed and dropped money for the four musicians, or dropped some money and walked away. For once in a log while Sam truly felt like he could relax. But then he hears sirens and screams he says goodbye to his new friends as the give him a hundred dollars ( only a small fraction of what the made thanks to Sam's skill with the guitar) he then walks to where the screaming is and sees a mutant in trouble, so much for taking it easy he thought to him self.
It was Skadi's first week in New York, after all the travelling around the world she felt like she could stop and find what she was looking for. She heard this city was a hot spot for mutants, and this is where she could get some information and answers she needed.
Her sparkling silver eyes started scanning the area around her, watching while people walked past her with no care in the world. Taking one step at a time, she started heading to a music shop, her long dark blue knee length boots leading her forward then suddenly came a halt.
She could faintly hear some screams from the distance, it was about a mile away but with having such good hearing due to her mutation only she was the only person that could hear it in that area. Quickly gathering herself together she threw her cup of coffee in the bin and hurridly ran towards the screams. She sensed that this was no normal event, she knew this had to be relevent to mutants, she could smell the fear. Her white blonde hair bellowing behind her as she carried on running untill she came to a halt. What stood infront of her looked like a riot, people running away screaming, Police looking heavily armoured and surrounding what looked like a metal car on legs.
It was the most incredible thing Skadi has ever seen. This was a mutant and it was amazing. Still looking at awe of the amount of detail and metal, how this could be a man yet a car. Skadi cautiousley took a few more steps forward, her hearing was super sensitive to the man's metal, she could still hear the cars energy radiating off him. People were still running past her, pushing her to the side, Skadi scowled at them then quietly said "How rude.." She must have looked crazy being one of the only people left there, but her feet felt so frozen to the ground she could hardly move. Still looking at the surrounded mutant, she thought to herself what is going to happen now?
Circe watched her victims and the effects of each use of her powers. So she was able to see how the unfortunate thief fell right in one of her traps. She watched with interest how he was caught but managed to get away with it and get the money. She moved towards him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Nice move." she said startling him. With the corner of her eye she spotted a man walking to his parked car. A wave of her hand and the man tripped, falling on a brand new and shinny Audi R8. What followed next was the most surprising thing. The R8 transformed, somehow looking like the robots on the Transformers movie she watched a year or two ago. People began to panic and run around like crazy. A police crew appeared. d**n, she had this talent of getting herself in trouble. Or to cause trouble. She smiled. The boredom in a mutant's life never lasts too much.
A hand suddenly disturbed Shade's delight in counting the stolen money. Turning to acknowledge the stranger, the hooded mutant carefully deposited the now folded money into his pocket. His eyes followed down the delicate hand of the woman to her face. Hearing her comment, Shade managed a small chuckle.
"So you saw my display, ugh? You going to call the c-" Shade didn't get to finish. Nearby, a car suddenly transformed into a roughly shaped human being. People started screaming and running while sirens started blazing and lights flared up. The smile on Shade's face widened as he thought about how the police were going to deal with the metal man. Oh yeah, he'd stick around to watch the show.
IC - Slade barrelled towards the cops, shovelling the panicked crowd aside as he accelerated towards the closest officer. He saw the first lose his nerve and forget his radio, brandishing a medium length electric baton from his side. If Slade could have slowed he probably would have done, he hated electricity more than the normal human. Electricity never seemed to end well with Slade! The second cop dived behind his car still fumbling for his radio.
As Slade heaved into the armed cop the officer swung with both arms at Slade's shoulder. As the baton connected with Slade he flinched in agony, pulses of shock surging through his systems. He used his forward momentum to blast through the pain, swinging his body and forearm upwards in an uppercut fashion he lifted the officer off his feet. The policeman landed awkwardly and slumped to the floor a few feet away, he looked stunned but not overly injured. Slade gasped for breath, doubled up. He really hated those damn batons the pigs carried round.
From his right a slug of metal blasted into his side, ricocheting off his torso into a building. Slade lurched his senses dampened for a moment. He swung round, eyes desperate for the source of the bullet. The second officer was stood now, one arm raised voxing something into his radio, the other pointing a standard issue pistol at Slade. Slade growled menacingly, raising his right arm he transformed the area above his wrist. Parts around it moved and reshaped, forming a tear shaped shield around his forearm. As angry as Slade was he didn't transform his hand into the automatic, he didn't want to kill anybody right now. Nevertheless this guy was going to pay!
Hearing sirens in the distance Slade advanced on the armed officer, "You're going to regret that, pig!" This day wasn't getting any easier.
Alexandra watched with interest how the mutant fought the cops. Bravely, she could say. It was the sound of the syrens that troubled her. Her eyes focused in that dirrection. And she waited calmly for the police cars to appear. In less than a minute, a screeching anounced her that they were close. Very close. She waved her hand as soon as she saw one. The tires exploded concomitently. The second and the third car had the same bad luck. Alexandra considered herself satisfied by the results. A small smirk appeared for a second on her lips. Syrens could still be heard but they seemed to be pretty far from this spot. Her eyes turned once more to the mutant. "Run, will you?" she said.

After the fight broke out, Sam ran to the nearest vacant alley and transformed and covered him self in his ice armor. Sam then shot over to the where the transformed car was fighting the cops, as he was about to help out, he saw some tires exploded on officers cars. He figured it was a freak accident. He continued on his way to help his fellow mutant. He saw a cop ready to swing an electric baton towards the backside of the car, regardless if he saw the cop swing or not, Sam figured he’d step in. Sam was closing in to the cops when out of the corner of his eye he saw a cop raising his gun; the cop yelled, “freeze”. Sam lifted his arms and said; “no you freeze” he shot in two different directions. One towards the officer aiming at Sam and one towards the officer approaching the humanoid car with the electric baton both officers were covered in ice, making it impossible for either of them to move. Sam was to late to stop the one that hit the mutant from before but he wanted to help anyway he can. He ran behind the R8 and asked “looks like you could use a hand, are you ok?” Sam, from that point on was looking in every direction making sure none of the officers could get close enough to strike.
The place was turning into a genuine mess now; civilians were abandoning their cars to run for their lives, cop cars were screeching down the road, and the robot man was hurling cops left and right. Shade watched as the witness to his robbery waved her hand ever so lightly before the police cars grounded to a halt on the rims of their cars. So she was a mutant?
Interesting! Shade thought to himself before his eyes locked on a problem. The stunned policeman seemed to be coming to his senses, and Shade couldn't let that happen. Reaching for his radio, the officer began to issue orders for some back-up.
"Radio, this is Unit 91. We have a mutant problem on ours hands. Send in a Sta-!" The radio chatter was suddenly cut as a black blade pierced through the radio and into the officer's hand pinning it to a nearby car. Groaning, the officer tried to pull the dagger free while following its trajetory to its source. Shade was at the end of that path. Now standing on the other side of the street, it seemed very improbable that the hooded figure had actually ran to the other side of the street. Eying the officer down, Shade let that evil smirk dance across his face.
"I don't think so..." He said to the cop in his raspy voice.
It seemed that mutants appeared from out-of-nowhere. She didn't even finish her sentence as another hero appeared in the scene. Bravely shining in his icy armor. Alexandra preferred to work behind her cover as a human. She had too many problems before to even risk an exposure again. Neither the transformer guy nor the ice man bothered to hear her advice. She rolled her eyes and turned her head in the direction of the broken vehicles. The human cops began to get out of their affected cars, ready to engage into a fight with the two guys that exposed themselves. Alexandra counted them. 6. She knelt on the sidewalk, her palm firmly attached to the ground. Her eyes were closed tightly, as she concentrated. She opened her eyes rapidly, as she manipulated the concrete. The unfortunate cops that set their feet on the ground found themselves trapped in the very material they had so confidently stepped on. Checking the numbers, Alexandra could count four cops trapped while the other two had remained inside of the cars, afraid of coming out. "You! Ice man! Can you take care of their guns?" Circe asked the guy with icy armor.
(OOC: Here's a little something to keep you guys on your toes)
IC: The Hellfire unit had been quick to respond to the helf given distress call of the police unit. It was only a few blocks away and immediatly raised its shields and raced towards the scene. Upon arrival it did a quick scan of the area. One metalic mutant, probable high stength, possible other abilitites, medium threat rating. One ice mutant, temprature minipulation, low threat rating. One mutant, recoginsed from attack on the registration facility, shadow teleporter, threat level minimal. One possible mutant, touching ground as police units are trapped, threat level unknown.
The Hellfire activated its weapon systems and leveled its shoulder plasma cannons at the metalic mutant. Locking on it opened fire, tracking the target. Raising its left arm it prepared a missile and fired at the ice mutant. The teleporter was illuminate with a spot light, eliminating it's shadows and leaving it with no place to run. Continuing to fire the machine advanced.
OOC: OMG lol ok i can only save a few... i dont have the time for all of you! also a lot to react to lol
Slade heard skids and then more alarmingly crashes of epic proportions behind him, spinning he transformed his hand into his autopistol. The hand grinding and convulsing as it manipulated into the form of a larger than life autopistol. He directed it at the sound of the disturbance only to see a chaotic perspective, police cars littered on the sidewalks, with police officers seemingly trapped in the ground.
He heard distantly a clatter behind him, a womans voice yelling over. Spinning back he saw the once armed officer with a knife embedded in his chest. Confused beyond reason Slade waved his vision about, he saw new figures facing to the scene... all mutants? A woman in the distance. A thundering crash resounded behind him as something terrifying burst into the scene, something Slade had only ever heard of in the nightmares of other mutants: a Stalker.
Instantly transforming, folding down on the spot and bouncing as his form resettled his wheels bolted into life, skidding round as he whipped around in an arc. He felt hot fire sail past him as he swung away from the nightmarish hunter creature. He ground to a short halt besides circe, his door ramping open as his radio clicked into life, booming out "come with me if you want to live!"
He felt fire trail near his position, he knew only two could get in before he had to lose this thing. This could end badly, he just hoped he could return a favour to a few of the mutants who had helped to save his life.
OOC sorry circe i meant to reply to you but i needed to wait for others responses.

Sam, had to make a quick decision, run for it or help. Sam had about 2 seconds to react after the Hellfire shot a rocket at Sam. Sam aimed his hand towards the incoming rocket that the Hellfire unit just fired at him, creating a beam of subzero temperature that slowed and eventually froze the rocket making it utterly useless. Sam took in the setting sounding him. Sam noticed the car like mutant drive past him and drove over to a beautiful brunette who he heard yell something earlier but couldn’t make it out in all the commotion. But he knew if he got out of this situation somehow he wanted to meet her.
Sam then turned his head to see that the Hellfire unit had a spotlight on another person. Two things came to mind while looking at this guy. Either he is a mutant or he is simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Either way he had to help him out. Sam made some small ice blades and shot them with accuracy and precision. They hit one after another, in the same spot. But there was something wrong. Sam felt like an idiot and forgot the force field that the mutant murder machines had, his ice spikes were no use. He had to think of some way to help out, then it came to him it wasn’t going to do much good for a long period of time but, time is all he could come up with on such short notice. Sam got inbetween the spotlight and the person that it was aimed on and claped his hands togther. Sam used an old defensive move he used to when he was under the governments control. A small wall started to form as well as a small amount of fog. Making it diffucut to see the battle field. Sam and the person behind him were cast in shadow.
Sam had no time to react to the laser that was fired from the Hellfire unit which just hit him in the right ribcage, after going right threw the small wall of ice. Sam stumbled to the ground and yelled, “ wow that hurt”. Sam looked up to see a police officer close to ten feet away pull out a taser and aimed then fired at him. Which was suprising because the small amount of fog around them made it hard to see. Sam yelling out in pain received the shot where the Hellfire unit just pierced his armor. Feeling electricity surging through his body he felt weaker, one word was spoken as he was getting hit “Bu-m-m-er”. Gasping for air he could hardly breath. Hoping that his fellow mutants could get away, and somehow hoping that he could get away.
