The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Luna was happy, the release felt good, moving and thinking. It was like the opening fight in a video game, the first steps in her Journey to stand beside Saphirus and maybe Praxi and some of the others as well. Her class mated were all impressive.
Luna realized her mistake when Saph's counter attack struck her. She should of tried to slash him and she realized how insignificant that line of thought was. Sure she had figured this would be rough but this guy was truly amazing. On her own? it would not even have been a fight. The guy was even giving out advice as he handed them their collective super kid rear ends.
She had barely begun to string a plan together when Praxi was coming head on her way. Instinct told Luna to turn and take the impact in her back. The weight she was expecting never arrived, she felt an impact but praxi went past her and Luna tried really really hard not to think about if she had pieces of another girl in her fur. Something seemed gross about that but she had no time to think on it.
Luna went the opposite direction of Praxi deciding to follow their mentors advice, or at least she thought she was. Luna knew their was no safe way to deploy her power here but he had said to use her tail. She grabbed her tail from behind, aimed and fired two shots, the first she aimed at Saphirus chest, the second she aimed for in between his feet. Her aim was not to hit him, not really. Her stench could stretch out miles, in a closed off room like this? No she was trying to buy an opening for Praxi, hoping one of the Meelee fighters and praxi could pin him. If the others did not oblige her smell might do the trick. She had not warned anyone as she was hoping Saph might over look at least one of the shots.

The lack of feedback on her hit was as puzzling as it was annoying. While she was no Sadist there was a certain pleasure in delivering a well placed blow. A satisfaction in all the hard work training had paid off. Instead there was nothing. His respect would have to do and she gave him a wordless wink in response.
With little enough time to enjoy the moment he disengaged and she fell into a semi splits as the heft of the naginata sailed over her head just in the nick of time. As it stopped she pulled herself up and quickly kicked off to launch herself into the air to clear herself out of the area for her sisters next attack from the other direction. However instead of falling back to the ground with gravity her power snapped into place around her giving her a deadly black looking silhouette that looked simply wrong in this universe.
Much to probably everyone's surprise instead of barreling right back in she slowly walked in a circle above the mess of a melee it had become thanks to her sisters zombies. The simple movement action to keep her from being an easy target from any thrown projectiles, powers, zombies, or students alike. Her main objective was in watching Saph very closely and keeping aware of what everyone else was and could do. While Hiyori hadn't faught anyone like the man Himari certainly had and that was worrying. Her grandfather also had a preternatural ability to sense attacks and that is what it seemed Saph was doing too.
Cute slime girl was slapped into the the skunk lady and she suppressed the urge to laugh. She was sure there was a joke there somewhere. She could tell from her peripheral vision they were circling in opposite directions at least. Slime was.. chucking bits of herself and the skunk was? Ah kami and ancestors! She took one of her decorative ribbons and hastily shoved one end up each nostril. The ongoing melee would have to go on without her as she sprinted over towards praxi and let her power go to land next to the girl and spoke just so she could hear her. "Hi, what are you trying to do? I would like to help." Not really sure what the effect her body would have on Saph if it struck, but with her mobility he was sure she could help the slime girl get closer or get better angles on Saph with her own power. "Can you stick to people? Like a backpack?" Gesturing to her own back. She wanted to keep her own hands and legs free for fighting and moving. If she could stick to Saph.. well maybe they could do better then the man expected, win even!

Boy were there a lot of whippersnappers to manage. It was nice. It felt like fighting a whole gang at once! It'd been at least six months since he'd done that! Yes, he was smirking. He was having fun! Praxi managed not to smack into Luna with as much force as she had attempted to hit her with. Interesting. "Density control. And I'm the cheater?" He barely got a chuckle out before young Hiyori was on the attack once more after Himari seriously did the splits to duck her attack.
That was honestly quite badass... A little inneficient, but the cover of the attack itself made the action viable. Also, it would probably make a criminal's eyes pop out of their head. Kung-fu #$%^. Wait, Kung-Fu wasn't Japanese was it? Neither was Muay Thai, but here they were.
Speaking of here. Their coordinated effort concluded with the giant Samurai attacking from the other side. Yes please, thankyou. He reached over with his right hand and halted the blow in place, greedily soaking up the energy it gave. Oddly enough, though, the construct immediately faded after the attack. Was she getting wise to his game? Likely, no. Not all of it. She had no way of knowing her beefy attacks were making him more dangerous. No, she was trying something else.
Wait, something was grabbing at his legs. Oh, damn. He looked down, and an eye twitched. Zombies. Amazing. He hated Zombies. These weren't real zombies, obviously; He knew a little cat who could make constructs. There were several of them climbing out of the ground and up him to try and crowd him though. Probably a good idea to do something about that. First, though. A hollow Himari was falling from above. He tilted his head to the side just barely and recieved the axe kick to the crown of his head. Moar please.
Oh, he was getting attacked. He felt the strange globules of Praxi flying through the air and ducked unto the pile of zombies, embracing their otherwise terrifying presence. A slight wince came to his features as he felt a few scratches and nips. Still, with their average strength he was able to pick a direction and force his way through well enough, moving away from the Himari clone. Luckily the real Himari seemed to have stepped away, which meant he wouldn't be overwhelmed.
Coming out of the crowd with a few clingers on, and grinning like a maniac, his eyes widened when he saw ahead of him, a skunk girl lifting her tail. "Oh f-" Shot one! His hand shot up, and a finger pointed up and quickly to side side, and his power reached out, tunnel vision taking over as he spun and pointed at the jumping kitty cat.
Sucks to be you, kitty. Before their eyes they would see the flying stink shot suddenly change course, arcing wide and spiraling toward Hiyori instead. Cats had a strong sense of smell, right?
Coming out of the tunnel vision, he realized there was another shot about to hit. He went down, letting one of the clinging zombies take it to the face... Not that it mattered too much. Being near it was... woof. "WOOO! That'll," Cough cough. "OH, man... come in handy..." Cough. "For crowds!"
His eyes were tearing up. He chuckled loudly at Himari's attempt to limit the effects with a ribbon, as if that would work somehow. He was lucky he didn't need to see to be effective. Eyes clenched, cough cough. Go. Giving an idea of the current layout... Himari and Praxy were on the other side of the zombie Horde presently. Hiyori was likely dealing with his attack, he was on his knees with zombies crawling up and after him, and before him, maybe twenty feet away... Was Luna. Alone.
With a grin, he put a fair share of his collected force into the ground, and launched himself from the grasping zombies, gaining a few more scratches on the way, and sailing straight for Luna with frightening speed. Landing on his right leg gained him some energy back, and made him come to a sudden stop before her. His presence would likely feel like some sort of impending doom as he reached out to touch her. Just a touch. Harmless, right?
He would put all of his collected force into that poke. If it hit, the skunk would go saaaiiiling. Mind you, the afformentioned protections were in place, but it wouldn't be a fun experience.

The shogun's attack hit, but again all the power behind it just vanished. Her sister's clone likewise landed its attack and AGAIN the force was gone! What?!
The wee black cat was growling in frustration, attempting to figure out what was happening. All she had noticed so far was that he seemed to be only using one side of his body when halting her atta-
OHNO
Luna launched her own attack and Hiyori's ear flattened in horror. Even more so when it suddenly CHANGED DIRECTION and was heading right for her!
"NO WAI-" She tried to jump out of the way but failed. The ball of stink collided and instantly overwhelmed her sensitive little nose.
Yowling and hissing as she'd just been dunked in water, Hiyori immediately abandoned the battle, which meant all of her constructs immediately vanished in purple, swirly puff of energy, in order to go scrambling away from everyone at top speed, back towards the door they had come in from. When that failed she launched herself at the safety box the lazy one and the baby were in. She was the past reason at that point, as her eyes were watering and her nose was running. Every instinct was screaming at her to escape.
When jumping and clawing at the invisible wall didn't work she turned and blindly sprinted back into the fray, a black angrily floofed shadow on the ground. Inadvertently she was heading right for the instructor, and if allowed to blindly bump into him, she would sink her claws in and try to climb him to safety away from the smell.
To her credit, Lunda took the slime splashing in stride. Praxi would be more embarrassed about the collision if they did not have a bigger problem at hand. It was convenient how little her social anxieties mattered when she had a mission on her mind.
Luna was firing off something with her tail, and while Praxi lacked a real sense of smell, the tactic seemed effective against Saph. Not a terrible idea! Just because he could not take damage, that did not mean his senses had any kind of immunity of their own.- She was having better luck than Praxi, who needed her slime to stick to be effective.
Thankfully, the pretty pink-haired girl had a solution. Could Praxi be a backpack? ”Sure? I can hold my shape and make myself sticky and—oh, I see your point.” Plopping down to the ground as a ball, Praxi bounced herself up and landed on Himari’s back, sticking herself to the other girl’s back and shoulders. ”Sorry, it’s weird.” But once again, no time for shame! Only the mission!

Their was so much chaos going on around them, still she felt confident in her aim. They just needed to keep him in place a bit longer. She watched as her shot was on track but her hopeful smile fell as her first shot changed direction and struck the cat girl mutant instead. Seh felt awful as she heard the yowling and howling of Hiyori, realizing her stench might be extra effetive on her. Her second shot had a bit more success but she realized very quickly, that he was now coming for her. His eyes were closed and he coughed on her stench and powered threw. Luna aimed a third shot but had just taken a step back when she Saph struck.
Her third shot went high as Saph touched her fur, Luna flew back threw the air like a rag doll and she wondered how much the system had taken for her. She managed to get her paws under her to try and attempt a landing, when her back struck the wall. Luna despite her eagerness ahd been in but a hand full of real fights She fell to the floor on her butt dazed from the blow and shaking her head softly. "That felt like an elephant" she said as much to herself as anyone else/
Even if the system had taken some of the blow she felt it and wondered just how powerful saph really was. Even as she got to her feet and watched the others she rubbed her back as she wondered if Saph could take out the others as easily of if they would actually win. It occurred to Luna she had no idea what Saph's day job was unless it was security.
She wondered if she should have held of off on her scent, considering Hiyori, she knew it could be a risk but she had been told to attack with her tail and so she had tried. She had no idea how they room would get rid of the scent anytime soon and wonderd for the first time if the air vents lead to the rest of the mansion if their were any.

She would never admit it and was working hard not to show it, but Himari was thoroughly enjoying herself. She hadn't been aware or thought it was a tryout for the -men but here she was.
For a bunch of people she figured had never been in a real fight it was going well. In every other sense it was a total cluster chuck. Everyone had leaped into the fight and had not coordinated at all and know they were slowly all going down one by one.
Coughing out some of the phlegmy film that itched the back of her throat from the wretch inducing smell she responded to her sudden slime backpack. Awesome SLimes were coooooool. Shrugging at the apparent embarrassment of her partner. As soon as the girl was attached her powers popped back into place and she sprinted over where the zombies had been (and consequently the smell). "No time to be embarrassed in a fight. Going to try and occupy him so you can fling some of your slime into his face or yourself. Choke him out."
With basically just the two of them left it was up to the pair to make something happen! Simple strategies were the best ones and since her own eyes were watering it would have to be done fast. AS she dropped from the air powerless near Saph she old fashioned sprinted to meet the distance, a hand taking the last and largest bow from her hair with a hard tug converting it into a n impromptu soft weapon. Launching herself at Saph with seeming reckless abandon to quite literally tie up his hands or even better yet get him wrapped up at the elbows or around his neck. She wasn't too picky which depending on what opportunities presented itself, leaving it up to praxi to determine the best moment to fling herself off her back and into Saph.
There was that satisfying feeling as he made contact with Luna and she was rocketed away from him. Knowing she wouldn't be too hurt by it was nice as well. The danger room made pulling out all of the stops viable. If they were out of it... Well...
Luna would be a smear on the far wall.
No lingering on that, though. He had a cat student climbing up up, sharp claws and all. "Ow. Ow... Okay, kid. Think you've had enough." He picked Hiyori up gently by the scruff, and held her out to the side. "Computer, Remove participants 4, and 3."
The kitty was whisked away to the safe zone along with Luna. Notably, as they passed through the barrier, the protective skin on them would also be peeled off, pulling the smell from them as well. It only smelled in the combat arena. "Good job you two. I got some ideas for your training plans."
What was that? Oh, the kids were on their way to him already? Was that... A Praxipack? A... BackPrax? He snorted to himself as he jumped back beginning the strange behavior of punching himself in the thigh over and over again as he maintained range from He'd been able to keep one eye open through the intensity of the lingering skunk shot, but he was still relying heavily on his sixth sense to sidestep and roll out when she launched herself at him.
They had some sort of plan here. Likely to open him up for an attack from Praxi. It made sense. He kept hitting himself as he avoided them for as long as he needed to, using his decades of fighting people on the street to guide his footwork and positioning. It helped that he wasn't weighed down by a whole other being.
Still, he wouldn't he able to keep this up forever against a younger opponent. The tingle in his hand up to his wrist told him he was prepared to act.
She attempted to loop the hair ribbon around him, but his right hand reached out to clasp it securely. All of the force applied to it would be immediately drained, meaning pulling on it would just be... the strangest sensation. Like applying force to something that both wouldn't budge, but wouldn't resist.
Having her locked up for just a fraction of a second would allow him to duck down and go for a palm to the gut that would send both her and her backperson spiraling backward if they hit.
If not, he would use that same gathered force fling himself off to the side with his left foot, all depending on if he felt that feedback from the blow.
Almost blind from watering eyes, Hiyori felt herself grabbed by the skin of her neck and lifted. She didn't give up easily and kept her claws sunk in until they finally popped out of the skin and fabric and Saph was free. She froze like most cats do, body stiff and arms flexed out, and then was suddenly pulled away into the safety bubble.
Immediately after she was within the safety of the bubble the noxious smell vanished, and she was able to at least think a bit clearer instead of blind panic. The small cat plopped her rump down and curled her tails protectively around herself, ears flattened back against her skull as her eyes and nose continued to leak.
She noticed Luna was in there with her only after a spree of blinks to clear some of the blurriness from her vision.
"That was an excellent attack." She wasn't pleased with it, but she wasn't going to undercut the girl either. It was pretty potent against those with more animalistic senses. Her sister was lucky she was more evenly split between human and animal characteristics.
Megan appeared after a moment, leaving Jr with his toys in order to approach them.
"Luna.. would you like anything? A bottle of water maybe? This might be the only break you get for a while."
The dark-haired girl dropped to her knees beside the grumpy cat, with a wet rag in hand. Hiyori eyed her through squinted, blurry vision and made no move to run away as Megan used the rag to clean her eyes and nose.
"...Arigato.." She muttered grumpily and lifted a paw to clean her claws while she waited.
"You're welcome. Would you like some water as well?"
With help from the program supplies for the rest were handed out and Megan made her way back over to Jr, where she resumed helping the toddler build a tall tower with blocks.
Hiyori turned back to Luna after a moment, "...Were you able to gather any ideas about how his power works? All I've noticed is that the momentum of my attacks just seems to vanish the moment it meets him... and he seemingly knows where we are going to be before we are even there. It's uncanny."
She thought back to when she had been hit by the stinking ball, "...it seemed like he redirected that shot mid-air at me, too. Did you see it?"

She smiled a she looked at the cat mutant. "Thanks, your really impressive yourself, i was able to watch a bit while waiting for my shot" she said as she nodded at the offer of water to her. Taking it she looked back out to the fight considering their teacher, Saph. She wondered if Praxi and Himari had a chance against their teacher, she hoped so but she felt poor about their chances recalling how he had hit her.
"Yea, i saw a bit of that, you guys striking and just stopping. In my case i normally have extremely good accuracy. I can hit a bullseye on a dartboard at twenty feet but i saw that as well my shot just moved and went right for you and i can't control its direction. It should have hit his eyes and blinded him for a few minutes. All i can think of is he somehow stops or controls our movement. He Touched me and shot me across the room like a pinball and he used a finger i think. I think without the safeties of this place he could have turned me into road kill " she replied still not fully wrapping her head around the power. She rubbed her back as well recalling her breif experience with flight.
"I don't have much experience fighting but you and your sister seem to know your powers pretty well" she said run her furry paws over her snout and face, smoothing her fur and keeping it from her eyes. She was determined to take as much of this with her as she could.
