The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Amelia, yes she recalled the girl. Where Mirror had been very cautious at the meeting in the mansion living room Amelia had been inquisitive. "You have grown with your powers. Close enough, The coral girl invited me, Mirror was, shocked and i think just happy i cuased no issues" she said with a smile. She had behaved and things had gone well, though she had not stayed to long, despite what Alex wanted. "I am all right, another blow or two however" she shook her head, she was not used to being so outclassed. Maybe she should have kept up her heavier training, or maybe it was someone elses issue, she would figure it out later.
She shook her head. "You Are a mutant, old friend, My trust and aide are assured so long as you are and you do not cause undue harm to our people" she said casually. They likly did not have time to go over much here but, still she was glad to know Amelia was alive, in a way it gave her hope for Amber, Abyss and Syn. "I don't even kill humans anymore or Mystics....though the magic people are making that very hard" she said considering the guy who had been here. She glanced at the hole in the floor then to the corridor she had come down.
"And you did not have to call shard for me, my pretty friend, will beat the swim here" she lied, she could swim but she was doubtful she could have made it out to the island. Aura was use to swimming in lakes and rivers not open ocean even near the coast. Maybe she would see if her aura could help one day.
"A mystic stole your face huh? They kidnapped me after i stopped them from kidnapping children and used me as a puppet to kill mutants for bets. And yet without one of them we would not both be here. Strange how fates works my pretty friend. " she said happily, cracking her shoulder as she spoke.
"I recall our meeting back then, Mirror was quite protective of you, but you were enthusiastic and did not hold my, monstrous ways against me. I had been brought in after the Mansions null ran me over. Shes part of why i stopped eating random animals off the streets" she said recalling the time fondly
Aura knew the feel of the impact was wrong. She had knocked men's heads from their shoulders, stopped bear's in a blow. Had he been human, Aura's upward swing would tore through the man's stomach and started cracking ribs. She had figured it might be the case and hoped to make herself seem like more of a threat, to let the strange woman run. However reality was much much different. The man flew back but their was no blood, no cracked bones. Aura could have counted on one hand the number of people she had met that could have done what this man had. Maybe she was getting old, or maybe wariness had dulled her.
Aura had not expected the man to move so much and melting through the floor was very unexpected as well. Aura had put everything into the swing and had over committed. She had expected retaliation and she wonderd why he had not tried the thunderclap again or just grabbed her and threw her to the main land. Aura fell moments after the suited man head first, just under the lip of the hole, Aura thrust her leg back, into the ceiling expanding her Aura horizontally to keep her from falling. Testing the ceiling to make sure it was solid Aura puller her upper half level with her knees and forming her aura hammers back to swords, punched the ceiling and as the blade penitrated she flatted it out horizontellay, taking pressure off of her leg. Then with her other hand she reached the hole and sent a blade into it, letting the one on her leg and first arm fade to dangle be her left, she then grabbed the top of the hole and pulled herself up the the floor she had just fallen through.
"It's been a long time since i shared the dance floor with a Mutant as pretty as you, I'll be all right though i would feel better with a kiss" she said taking a few deep breaths. She had low expectations of a post fight kiss but a girl could try she figured, something like it had worked with Allison. "You all right?" she asked glancing around, her aura still coating her body though it had contracted to a few inches.
She shook her head. "I retire and the world goes to shit faster then i can manage to get myself killed. " she said only partly joking and with a heavy sigh became more serious. "Your name if you would my Mysterious friend and who are you with? You knew those names would carry weight enough for my trust. " she said seriously, she made no move to attack though her she was clearly keeping an eye and ear out both for the man man and the staff. She kept her Aura swords out, extending straight from her fingertips. This woman did know her of that Aura was certain, if she was friend or foe she did not know. After Alex Mirror was the closest thing she currently had, as sad as that was, as she was never clear on if Mirror liked her or not.
She nodded with a smile. "It was fun and easier then driving a car which i never have mastered" she said recalling the one she can driven through several fences and then landed in a pool. She had not much interest in doing so as she had been walking the city for so long she knew how to navigate on foot even if it did take way longer to traverse. Her eyes stole a glance at Liz, as much as they could see with the desk anyway. Aura was not great at being subtle on such things though she tried to be sly.
"That is good my new friend, As i do not know if tomato juice takes the smell of walls" she said considering. It made sense to Aura that it would but she had never tried. She looked over at the kit's sand saw the calmness overtaking them. She simply trusted Liz as she worked here and was a mutant, the idea that Liz might might lie had barely crossed her mind.
"Thank you for trying, my Pretty friend, no matter the result" she said sweetly. She was glad Liz had warned her about how her power looked when it use or she might have been a bit alarmed when Liz slumped over, as it was she just tried to make sure Liz would not fall, not knowing if she was prone to that sorta thing. She watched fascinated, their really was few things more beautiful then a female mutant using her powers. Aura bit her lip softly "Beautiful" she almost whispererd as she watched. She refocused her mind on the kit's wondering on the results as she waited. Her eyes shifted between the kits and Liz as if she could help if something went wrong, if something could?
Aura had no idea the three skunk kits were just new born life starting it's journey fresh without memories from another life. She knew however it was unlikely and she was likely to leave disipointed, she glanced back at Liz well not entirely.
In truth Aura had never really separated adapteds and mutants as different. She just saw them as mutants which was part of why she had been annoyed at the poor guards death. The man had been Aura's suicide watch as she had proven more and more unwilling to be held. He had also been one of the few guards Aura had cooperated at all for during her stay at another prison. She ahd to admit the attacker not being her father made her attitude worse overall, plus had it been her dad at least they would of been more clear on what was going on here. She knew she had a bias however, the big red man had gotten her to stop making bone furniture and taught her what credit was.
She had not seen the man's moment of weakness but she knew every person had to have one. She had been to distracted tryong to slow them down. He spoke but could not make out well what he said between the liquid and general ringing in her ears. She shrugged as Lenna asked her if he said anything and before she could reply Amelia charged forward at the man who had just recently played pinball with them. Their really were few things more beautiful then a woman running into combat. Aura moved forward a moment later, hit on the pretty mutant girl later.
Aura had always been good in reading a battlefield. It seemed the man wanted or needed the corridor past them rather then the one Amelia had been in front of. She read Amelias tactics and considered where to strike, her right blade melted and flowed into a round shape forming a hammer a foot in front of each of her fist connected to her fingertips. She swung both hammers aiming for his pelvis, unsure how much forced the man's suit and witch powers could handle. The hope was in the distraction of Amelias attack, hers would strike each striking with the force of quickly thrown cinder blocks force. She kept the third blade she could form in reserve in case he tried to punch or kick her she would try and impale his hand with a quickly made aura spike, amputation hardly counted as killing after all. She also knew this could not turn into a long brawl, she simply could not take to many hits like the previous, certainly not while shielding another.
Mirror was surprised, Aura could see it in her paling face. Aura forced calmness into herself and organized her thoughts but her sucess was not total and still a few whisps of pink appeared around her only to fade again. It was reasonable its not like Aura spent much time in the Mansion given her own and what she assumed would be others discomfort.
Aura could have asked the Syndicate, they had the money and would have been willing, and possibly even safer option to sort things out for her. They had already tried and even largely succeeded in getting Aura to have an actual job and to stop fighting every day to draw down some of the attacks on her as well as the addition of SUPER hunting her. It had largely worked but it had given Aura alot time to think. The syndicate however was her employer. How could she admit weakness, how could she tell them she was becoming less useful, less needed. Did it even matter any more? She just had no idea.
She nodded softly, not looking at Maya's face as she spoke. "Look, the truth is i had been planning to talk with you or the Null. She said the pink whisps growing n number and frequency but still without substance and Aura remained oblivious to it. " I...I, had to come to say good bye to Alex. Find a Mystic base and start the final dance. I can't tell them though. If Allison were here i could but.." she said not truly wanting to abandon Her daughter but not knowing how to deal with the mental sludge pool her mind and soul were.
"I found Mystics kidnapping Mutant children, I fought my way with a female mutant with agility to the front of the train. We made it to the front car and the kids were freed, but we were ambushed, i took some magic beam to my back and was knocked off the train and plummeted toward the water below. I must have survived because i woke up a puppet. Our Frozen friend, my telekinetic friend and a portal...friend" she said, her aura had began to flicker more, the whisps growing longer and taking odd shapes before brekaing up and fading, a reflection of Aura's mind. Zek having been one of the few people Aura so far had not found a way to tolerate Mutant wise.
"This may sound odd, but I have always trusted the Mansion. More then that I trust you, we are kin through Alex and that makes you the closest thing i have to blood family, my friend. I am unsure i deserve the help your offering but I am willing to try, for Alex. she let out a sign and with focus the pink whisps faded out entirely. SHe gathered her thoughts. a moment before continuing. "What is it you propose, old friend? What information that's left id this mind is yours" Aura said unsure what information was even helpful in this. Aura for her part had no idea where to even begin and had passed information that seemed relivent to the issue at hand. She was just glad the ghosts were being quite.
If their was a way to resolve this and still be there for Alex she needed to go that route, no matter what it cost her. She had seen the Mansion and i'ts x men as fools thinking their ideology unachievable but also had believed that after the order had defeated Mutant kinds enemies they would need those in the mansion as leaders, well warriors like her faded away. The world refused to be so black and white for her however and it made things tough.
"They called the god's the Xel Siun, a cycle of reincarnation towards eventual Mutant Utopia. I am not familiar with either of those but i have grown to understand my belief system may well have never reached past the woods and that i may well be its last adherent" she said honestly. The thoughts brought that night back to her mind, that day in the woods she saw everyone she knew die. It had taken her a decade to understand that was not her fault and still sometimes it was hard for her to believe. Her response left out remy as well who had quite literately walked from the grave Aura had made for her, she was still trying to deal with that.
She nodded as Liz mentioned. Part of her hoped that the educators she failed to recall had tried. "I Like to believe my parents felt that way but i have to few memories of them to know. " she said a few more flickers of pink appearing around her. "I suppose i could teach people how to fly the x jet to, so i could teach more then war" she said jokingly brightly recalling the strange incident of body swapping and all those annoying aol adds that had played in her mind. "Random City wide body swapping, My dad ended up in the tri-sharded ones body, and I in a Mansion students, we stole the X jet, got several pallets of toilet paper and TP'd the mansion." she explained in amusement.
{color=f700c5]"Thank you, They are use to me and Alex, if you have to touch them go slow though, even baby skunks can spray and it smell's no better"[/color] she said not knowing how Liz's power worked at all. Still she also did not want to accidentally scent bomb the womans classroom either. She knew from experience what it took to get rid of the scent in doors. They were cute balls of fur even to Aura's eyes and she could see the three skunk kits were very curious what was going on around them.
She tried not to get her expectations up on this, knowing Liz might not be able to even see souls and if she could she might not be able to understand Solkats soul. She was no expert on the souls cycle as a warrior and not a priest so it hard to tell Liz what to look for as well. However the chance was enough hope for her at the moment and worst case maybe she would go fight a bear at the zoo to let off steam.
Was old age catching up to her? Had her father come back, why attack this place without contacting her first. Abyss had sought to make her more of a person. His messages may not have always reached Aura but she had learned much and the Large red man had been the only parental figure she recalled clearly. She was here born of foolish hope, but she knew their was no altering that now. She took a breath and let her mind settle.
The Lord of Souls would feast this day, maybe at last on her own. Did she have the right to judge the man? Maybe not as she had killed a great number of people maybe far less deserving then she had. She simply wanted to convey her experience to the man, help him avoid the path she had. She cared little for the staff here, mostly but thought maybe decreasing the deaths he would cause in the future. She simply assumed the mans act was of vengeance, which she could respect. Aura understood what mercenary's were but lacked respect for the work preferring to help because it was right to do. She had not seen his like before but he was very clearly a mutant or a forsaken Mystic. Despite his words Aura knew many denied their heritage.
Her eyes narrowed as the woman ran to her mentioned Mirror and Iris, the name ensured the aura Hammer to the women's knees never even formed instead. Other then Alex, Mirror was the closest thing to family Aura possessed and despite the shakey logic Aura gleaned the familial connection from the fact Alex was relation to both herself and her double friend. Aura could not name what that really made them if anything but it mattered not, whoever this women was, she was she knew the name would have meaning to her. She also knew the voice from somwhere long ago
The mans immediate attack after he spoke left her little chance to respond, her aura stayed up though it grew more translucent, the subtle change let the other woman pass and Aura hardened her aura again after, throwing her arm's around the woman and let Amelia's weight carry her back as her aura flowed over the woman's back as they rolled. Aura made sure she came up facing the man. She knew right away he was a mystic as the impact struck her aura, she stabbed into the floor, but the blade did not did deep enough before the two pink clad women were pulled from the floor. Her aura had weathered the blast but it was without weight which the pair very much needed. Aura reached her arm out to the wall in a slashing motion, burying the blade in the wall to slow their progress, the effect slowed their forward momentum and carried them into the wall, which her aura dented looking almost like a giant fist struck it, before Aura let them drop to the ground. She could feel something dripping from her ear, and they were ringing hard. She had been through enough close mortar strikes to know her ears would heal. The extric portion of the attack hit her aura but the non conducting aura kept it at bay.
She stood and readied her aura blades defensively, in case The large man decided to press the attack, but Aura held her ground to cover the other women. She made no move to block the man. "The youngling knows how to dance, Mysterious friend. " she said checking her hearing. The Large man hit like a car, and she knew from direct and personal experience with the Mansions null. She took several deep breaths as she pulled air back into her lungs fully.
So she had chosen right to do commission the south korean lab though Aura was not sure why Liz could not have just helped her learn to clone. She decided to let it go however as she already had the kits she needed. Maybe if in another eight years this happened again she would ask Liz about learning biology so she could just do it herself.
Her aura fluttered into view in this whisps at the mention of priests, an almost scared look crossing Aura eyes though it never made it to her. She shook her head, "The people who kidnapped me and made me into a solider taught me that. Of the nine gods, we were to worship Alpha, lady of the forest who taught us that a world could only have one intelligent race at a time, and so with mutants existing humanity had lost its natural right to the world. If you did not obey orders given to you then when you died your sould would be devoured by the lord of should, but if you did as told you could be reborn with your friends." she said taking a breath before speaking again. "We would stand outside for days at a time in all weather to hear the sermons but i can't ask them as they are dead and im mostly sure they lied about a great deal anyway" she said recalling the horrific and bloody scene her last day in those woods was.
"It's fine you might not be able to , i assumed their was a high chance of that you might not be able to detect it. All im asking is that you try My Teacher friend. " Aura said her auras wisps fading out entirely. "I figure in the worst case i wait six weeks for them to be ready to be independent and if one stays of their own will, they must have Solkats old soul." she explained with a shrug. "Solkat died many years ago so her soul likely has passed already to a new body she tried tp explained knowing Liz likely did not worship her gods and thus trying her best to explain.
"I enrolled Alex here so they would not turn out like me. Meeting you so far as proven that to be a good choice. No kid should ever grow up like me" she said her eyes looking like a haunted childs for a few seconds and then whisps of pink returning before both vanished under Auras attempted stoic facade.
Aura shrugged a moment and considered her response, she had figured this would be easier then it was proving but that was fine. "Well my Teacher friend, i mean you are a lot closer then that and Alex seems to trusts you and the people In Korea and you are both scientists" Aura said as if that explained everything. "Alex only mentioned you after i sent for it to be done anyway, otherwise i would a came to you first with that" she went on. Aura knew little of science, she had never needed to learn it. She could make a pipe bomb built knew little of why they worked, just that they did. Her life she had believed was to short and her people needed her. Well she had never been an A student in her high school years, the women who stood holding a trio of skunks knew far less. Aura also figured biology studied life and so cloning would naturally be part of that.
Plus Korea ...it's near Japan and last time i was there i fought a lot of Yakuza members, so i figure this was also is less risk of me being attacked and defending myself. They really do hold quite the grudge." she thought considering the time she had been knocked out and landed in a pile of fish heading for japan. She would have welcomed it but she was trying to be low profile and few dozen new murders would not at all do that.
"Don't under estimate your ability, you teach useful things, like math, history and science. My memories of school were erased, not needed when forging a weapon. All i can teach is combat. You will always have purpose, the world will always need you. The world needs the likes of my knowledge far less" Aura said looking at teachers as special people, people who would always have a path in life. Aura no longer knew her path. TheHoly was was done, if for no other reason then Aura could take no more of it.
Aura adjusted the flight stick in the helicopter and shakily the craft agreed, she was lost though she knew a cage factory when she saw one. The very sight of them made her angry, anger that was not all improved by the shaky flight, or the incident that had occurred to force her to try and take it. Killing was so much simpler then trying to keep people alive to be arrested but she had been trying. She had gotten several calls on the radio asking for identification which she had no idea where to begin. Mostly she just had no idea what to hit. Then she heard a blast even up in the air and tried to swing the news copter around to see.
The tail of the copter broke as it struck a security tower and flew off landing on a few rocks and rolling into the shallow water. Without the tail the copter could only turn circles and plunged to the ground, leaving nine feet of skid marks and shards of glass, the roters topped as one snapped part way on the wall and became lodged in the masonry. Aura had decided not to where the safety harness as like the radio she had no idea what to push to make it work.
She exited the crash wreck without a scratch and really hoped she had not killed the guy in the tower, he might of been people. Aura mentally corrected herself reminding herself humans were people to. Her aura was powered and she kept a hand up for a slash in case it was needed, it was not, the guards seemed distracted to say the least and she knew the area lacked an adapted because the guards were clearly not interested in engaging her but they seemed more worried about something further in the prison. She went forward to a body that was laying face up. She knew the guard, he had guarded her when she had been in prison, she also knew the power he had once had. She hoisted the body up by the nack as she went dragging it. The aura heard a few scattered word that made her angry. Revive, Mutant and do something about it.
She moved from the courtyard, wreathed in eighteen inches of pink energy, their was little point in hiding now and then she took a long deep breath. Their was police, a swat team, dead bodies, a well suited man who dwarfed her a lady in a really nice coat and a floating corpse. One thing was very clear, she was a dead women if the man everyone seemed focused on somehow vanished, but minimizing casualties seemed like the right thing to do. The news had mentioned a large mutant attacking with exceptional strength. This man was not her father and realizing that she let breathe, she should of known better really, but Aura was desperate to find the stability she had had.
She dropped the corpse in front of her and yelled for attention. "Someone killed my adapted guard friend and though human he was, he was an honorable man. My large mutant friend, whatever your purpose it is not worth this. The deaths will scratch your soul til one day it shatters, I know because I have walked that path thousands of times" she said honestly, holding back her anger at having come here to fid her dad only to be in a situation she was not at all convinced she could get out of. Good, maybe she would head for the final dance today after all. She had no idea who any of these people, were the giant man or the women in the coat on the other side of the giant man. From her Aura she made two swords from the pink energy that flowed from her finger tips until it made the aura weapon. Part of her hoped it came to combat even though this was not the place for it, She was glad she remembered her mask today.
She nodded "Well the place in south korea seemed a bit confused by the request but mentioned their was no guarantee of survival, so i commissioned four, one did not grasps life thread. I figured with a few the chance of the soul picking one of them would be greater" she explained calmly. She left out that she aquired that sample by raiding a research lab the NYC zoo was partnered with. Aura had never looked into religions very far past the one that had been hammered into her. She simply took reincarnation as a universal belief.
She did not know who she was or who Alex's parents were it seemed. Aura was surprised and it took her a second. She had assumed mansion staff or whoever actually ran the place would have like passed out a guide on dangerous mutants. She let out a breath and figured out where to start. "I was kidnapped after my powers emerged at thirteen and turned into a solider against humanity, my memories were re crafted and in many cases simply destroyed, but the main thing for them was i was warrior who would not question orders. The human soldiers killed everyone i knew but i survived and walked out of those woods believing humanity and mutant kind were locked in a cold war that would lead to our kinds destruction. I suppose the why and reasons don't matter much but the short of it is, I have killed her anti mutant gangs, I have fought both staff and students of this mansion, the Frozen and reflective friends i mentioned the Null ran me over, but i have also killed thousands of humans. I have only recently began to understand how to be more then a mere weapon, to understand what having agency in my life is" she had tried to make it short and had left a lot out but it had also not been as elegant as it sounded in her head. "Use to make the news quite a bit, the frozen one and the kinetic absorbing one arrested me, went on trial and to prison, then my adopted dad wiped out the prison. It's all on Binge in a nice seven part set but has a lot of inaccuracies. Had a mansion reporter kid do a internet interview to" She said recalling the kid as he picked questions to ask with Lisa watching the entire thing. It had been fun and interesting but that portrait of her was no longer correct. She also chsoe to leave out the attacks she had endured with Alex in toe as well as the bomb then went off at their house a year prior.
"Nothing can ever fix what i have done but im hoping my old friend can help grant me the strength i need. Things always seemed more calm and relaxed when Solkat was around, she aiways looked at me the same no matter what i had done" she said afraid perhaps she had shared to much information to quickly. She was bad at that she knew.
It never once had occurred to Aura their might be more then one kid named Alex living here. Sh made sure to mentally note this issue in case in happened again. "Sorry new friend, Alex Sinnocent, the one whose related to our Reflective friend. Alex changes genders when injured and then heals off the injury" Aura mentioned casually. "Paperwork wise her mother is listed as Allison Sinnocent but since Allison dissopeared a year ago, i have stepped into a more active parental roll, we had sought to hide my relation to Alex before as we feared it could be detrimental to her survival or worse we feared she might wish to follow in my footsteps. " she explained deciding to not mention her long list of crimes, a habit she had established early on in the old days.
"I have watched almost everyone i have ever called friend and all my family die violently, be raped, as resulted in Alex or disappear without contact. she began as she did she set down the cage with a slight metal sound, and took the sheet off of the cage to expose the exited skunk kits. "My best friend through all those years was my pet skunk Solkat, she never left me, never went away. I felt i could be a person around her and not somones weapon. Animals as they are only live so long as Solkat passed from old age" she said
"I acquired Solkat's DNA and had her cloned. The kits here are three weeks old. The chance is low i admit, but i had hoped you might be able to look within their minds and see if my old friends soul lies within. I'll take care of them either way of course but it would bring me comfort to know, if it is within your power" she went on, looking around the room curiously as she considerd her thoughts and her words. "I do realize i am imposing on you and given my background i would understand if you you do not wish to aide me in this, i would also be willing to offer compensation, either one of the kits or cash can be arranged" she offered not wanting to make it seem like she expected the help with nothing in return.
She glanced over at the cage and slowly extended a pink link of aura from her finger to the cage, unlatching it, and slowly scooping them up into a basket made of pink aura. The kits were attached to aura as aura had been their only mother.
The fiasco getting the dna had been something Aura did not wish to recall but what had really mattered was she had obtained the DNA and the cloning of her old pet had gone well, she hoped. The issue was she was unsure which of the small skunks held her old friends DNA. The skunk had been her best friend and one of the most stable and positive relationships Aura had ever held, Most of Aura's friendships and relations had always been oriented for the war for her people. Even her family, Abyss, Syn and Amber had as often lead her into violent situations as she had them.
Alex had mentioned a teacher that could communicate and take over animals minds and stood sound reasoning to Aura that she might then be able to see their souls or memories. She knew it was a chance but she needed her friend back. She smiled recalling the fluffy black and white creature she had for long thought a cat. She had scooped it up when those animal rights mutants attacked the zoo and let all the animals out. She had been so sure of her actions. so sure she was helping. Thanks to her Reflective and Zombie friends she was more assured of her future then she had been before.
Aura had decided to try and see Liz as she came to pick Alex up. She had brought the cage with her, though the skunks only ever knowing her as mom, were unlikely to spray but they could Aura knew even at their young age. The trio of kits were energetic as Aura approached Liz's classroom, making sure she was alone and not occupied with somone else. The concept of grading things and other teacher realted things were lost on Aura who did not recall her own schooling much.
"Hello, I'm Alex's mom, Aura they mentioned you could see into animals heads, if so may i ask of your help" she asked with a smile. Well she knew the chances of these three having the soul of her old friend was slim do to the time of death to the birth of them but maybe clones shared a soul. She really had no idea.

Valkyria
Chaos rules the hallway or it would seem, the demon dogs making the portal man run away had helped but her owm plan sank quickly. she felt the ice beam strike her aura and her shoulder felt the wave of cold as permeated through her aura's small holes that let air in and out, it also knocked her back slightly, her following uppercut missing Lenna ruining the third strike in the attack. Aura had intended to kick at Lenna's ankle to try and sever the vital artery there. Cold steel had pushed her down and Lenna slipped past her, even as she turned to pursue the felt the kick at the side of her aura, not impaling it as she used her remaining resource to form a spike and impale whatever had struck her back, then quickly let the aura spike fade.
She needed to end this quickly and with a small amount of will she forced both her aura blades to change reforming them into drills, trying to rely on the penetration they provided. Ice was shockingly hard and she did not feel the blades would have cut against them as well. She also lacked the time to look where Lenna had gone, her handler was on his own as she had not been ordered to defend him.
Aura's first drill aimed at Sam's heart, trying to exploit his lone eye, the other a moment later drew a more obvious path for a kidney on the other side of him before bringing up a knee, with a quickly formed aura sword upon it, to try and gut the man. Aura expected the first two shots to be blocked and was counting on the final one, she needed Sam out of the fight quickly. Still even controlled she knew the snowman was at least her equal on the battlefield if not more. She still felt the slight numbness on her shoulder from the ice beam, reminding her of that as well, she could block the physical end of the attacks but the cold itself would sneak through.
The dog pursuing Zek shot fireball's after him where it could and then opened it's jaws and pinced hoping to land on Zeks' back and bring its bulk on his back, then the mutants neck would be exposed and it could sink it's searing hot jaws into it. It's ears perked up as it felt it being called away and unless balled or disposed off would begin charging back toward Sam but slipping as the floor began to shake. Another Mystic stumbled into the corridor from a doorway zek was heading to and it was clear he was completely taken off guard as the floor began to pitch.
The other dog dissipated as it's neck was cut, it's death disrupting it's summoned form and this made the Mystic nervous. Aura was engaged and the other dog was much to far away to get there it time, he wa son his own and the woman nearly at his neck looked quite angry. He had no idea who she was or what she was trying to do, but he had to ensure she was taken. It would get him promoted he thought to himself. He reached deep into his magic and let out a bar of rock and roll, bringing his hand down past his eyes and then he punched the ground, his knuckles bled and the floor beneath them began to shake, blocks of flooring began to fall into corridor below as the floor's shaking began breaking it apart. THe spell reached the entire corridor as the mage sang. Pictures fell from walls and small vases shattered from a top tables. Finnaly the majority of the corridor fell to the one below, the mage resigned himself in his fear, either he had just won or was going to die, he had done his job but now really wish he had chosen another. Aura fell, braced her knees for the impact to far from a wall to prevent her fall and let her aura absorb the impact as she fell into a crouch.
She declined the cigarette, it was a habit she had never actually tried one. Though she had tried other things. She scanned balconies and positions she might have picked for traps as they went. It was reflex for her even after all these years, kept fresh by countless ambushes from vengeful gangs or anti mutant attacks. Part of her wished she had wondered here instead of new york, she had to remind herself then would been a long boat rise, unlike the canadian border.
"No one here could stop us, their aim is poor and we outnumber them two to many" she smirked back taking her meaning not to be triggered to heart. SHe might have meant not to stab her, but Aura took it as a reminder not to charge unnecessarily into a situation she could not get out of. Aura knew her tendency for suicidal missions, only in the past few years had she largely tried to change that policy. It was hard, but she had made progress.
"Then perhaps no one truely left those woods alive. My body lives, but my soul....." she let trailed off catching the sound of a closing window and a civilian deciding another time would be better to check if things were safe. "" The sad thing is i knew she lied many years ago, it just took awhile to understand that it matterd she lied at all" she said watching as Remy's black blood dripped out of her wound as she poked her finger inside.
she did not return her friends smile. "I'm a walking war crime old friend, i have killed thousands since i came out of those woods, mostly humans but over sixty of our own as well, many for the crime of simply being human. The crys of those dead haunt me when i close my eyes and old memories of those we once called friends dieing screams haunt my dreams. Nearly everyone i ever cared about is buried or missing without contact, most for years and likely dead. The world is far more dangerous for our people now then they were before i tried protecting them. I don't know if theirs enough left in my soul to move on" she said a bit sadly. Aura had been trying to move on, but she felt the chains of the past so tightly on her soul. "My partner was raped by a human and became pregnant....she dissopeared without a trace recently, while i strive to keep Alex from being what we were, the child has seen much death, has had to flee bombs and attacks meant for me, I'm a hazard to life around me" she said her voice when speaking of her old partner Allison as well as her child sounding defeated but desperate. Aura did not want to abandon Alex but she also was convinced Alex could be raised better by Mirror.
"How did you leave it all behind old friend? Are you dreams as haunted as mine? Why did you not come for me? I would have followed your orders you know." she said as they walked. "Have you managed to move on? When did you figure everything we were taught was untrue? How did you avoid clinging to it harder in the dace of doubt? she pressed as they moved. much as Remy thought they had not encountered another ambush or any other fighters yet, maybe they had gotten smart or maybe they were hiding in their base or just occupied, she had no idea and perhapse as long as they saved their people it did not not matter.
