The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ghost was her rescuer today. Lot's of mansion people seemed to be in the rescue mood allot. But now there where other things to worry about. The little green men where speaking a langauge she couldn't understand and they didn't exactly have minds seeing as they where light. She nodded in a respondse to ghost's question. She pulled a tiny toothpick sized spear out of her chest. It didn't hurt her it just hanged in her clothes. She looked at it and found it very amuzing how tiny it was.
Ghost tried to reason with the little green men. The green men still talked jiberish to her. Maybe ghost spoke green man langauge. Cailyn hid behind ghost to keep herself safe. She did that allot, hiding behind things and people. The green men where still hurdling up doing their strange angry dance with jiberish. She just prayed ghost knew what to do, else they wood be green men food. Sort of speak ofcourse.
Cailyn had heard of the dangerroom from katrina but she never had the courage to go there until she head about the fun stories you could play there. She just had to check it out atleast, maybe find out a fun story to play in. Maybe something winnie the poohish.
She finally got the courage to go down there. She skittered there in a very cautious manner. Who knew what she would down there first. Maybe there was a ticket booth, maybe a line. Where there bathrooms just in case. And could she get a bandage there. Those where some questions she had running through her head.
Once she finally got there it seemed she got in. It was a big metal room one second and the other she was standing in a forest. Here eyes went big with amazement. It was just like a story. She ventured through the forest to find little green men running around in bambo made skirts with little sticks. They looked funny and made funny sounds. Cailyn pulled a smile at them and said: "Hello." They didn't take kindly to strangers and they started throwing their "Spears". She got scared and ran of into the forest until she saw a familiar face. It was the bookstore women she had seen two times in a bookstore. She ran towards her and said: "Help, little green men are angry."
Katrina was a smart girl. She should be the mansion tour guide with all of her knowledge about the mansion. Cailyn would probably get lost over and over again on her way to the mysterious door if it wasn't for her.
Katrina lead the two of them towards the library. They passed a couple of other rooms , but they where of no interrest to the two of them. Cailyn didn't look in all those rooms yet, maybe she should one day if she had time. Not that she was busy or anything. As they approuched the door Katrina warned her.
“Someone's inside,”
Someone was indeed inside. She could hear the sounds of people coming from behind the door. People who knew what was inside. With her heart pounding in her throat, the door opened. From the door emerged a man who was a bit familiar to her. It was the cold man who saved her from the pool once. She remember his name being Sam.
“Can I help you with something Katrina?”
Katrina seemed to know him too. Cailyn didn't believe that sam knew what her name was, or that he ever really spoken to her. Not that it mattered, she got information from people in a different manner. Maybe they could pry the information about the plane from him, maybe even see it. She would wait how well Katrina knew him first. Maybe they didn't like each other, but how could that be possible.
(OOC: Don't mind me, Hymn's just here for some crowd control or something )
The mansion ran empty as people where preparing for something. They all kept it quiet from the students though and everyone else that was still hang around the mansion. Cailyn however knew what was going down. They where going to fight, they where going to war. War against a something or someone who made a dangerous virus that worked on mutants for some reason. They where preparing for it for a day or two now and she knew where it was. She prepared herself by leaving the mansion and walk back into the city, looking for the place of interrest. She didn't figure that it was so easy to walk back into the city. She should have done this a while ago.
Instictivly she knew where to go somehow. If only she had the same sense of direction for the sanctuary. She passed by buildings, people and streets without ever realizing where she was actually going, she was just going like she had a purpose. The whispers directed her, directed her to the building of interrest. She somehow feared what was being made in that building, like she had seen the future and what it could do. Weird to say the least. But most things where considered weird when she was involved.
She arrived at the building in a day. King Pharmaceuticals it was called. She was standing across the street from it watching it , waiting for it to happen. Could she be usefull to the cause , or was she just in the way she did not know. All she knew was that she had to stand up for once and look at what people would do to people like her.
After a while she saw people arriving. She was in trance, the whispers where guiding her, controlling her. She recognized the person walking in. An order member she met at the sanctuary called Isabell. She just stood there out of this world. Soon other people arrived. She wasn't noticed seemingly. More and more people arrived, some should be familiar, others wouldn't be. It did not matter. Cailyn wasn't standing there. It was Hymn, her powers that where controlling her. She was here to observe for the time being, until she would need to act.
All of her questions where answered in one big story. Some terms that katrina tossed around where strange, like star trek. What was a star trek. It was used as a similair, so if she would see the danger room with her own eyes it might clear things up about the star trek issue. Somehow she pictured a bald man with the word star trek. Could it be that a bald man runs this danger room. And if so, where does he live. It all raised so many question better left unanswered for the moment. First the secret door that held the big secret that nobody should know of. That door could hold to answer to the plane and basement she knew about somehow.
“We can go look at the mysterious door, but we won't be able to get in... unless your mutation is the ability to unlock doors. Mine isn't.”
Well it couldn't hurt to go look at the door atleast. Maybe she could find a way in. "I want to see the door." She said to Katrina with excitement in her voice. Detective Cailyn was on a good way of solving the case of the plane. She really wanted to prove that she wasn't "crazy". "To the library." She said as she walked to the hallway that she was pointed out to be not the way to the library. "Ow wait." She said and walked back into the correct hallway. "Almost got lost again." She said with a smile.
Cailyn got the grand tour again and this time she tried her best to remember as much of it as possible. They passed everything including the kitchen, library and such things. Katrina even gave the hint that the mansion is x-shaped, meaning that it had a centre. She will try her best to remember the center seeing as that would be like a point from where you could go to anything. She would probably get lost again once she found the grand entrance. “That door leads to the library. Upstairs is the boys' hall. Downstairs is the Danger Room.”
The danger room. Would that be one of the secret rooms that she heard about, or better yet knew about without anyone telling. It sounded dangerous obviously. "What does a danger room do?" She asked a bit excited. It was a clue that could not be left forgoten.
“That's where all the classrooms are. Upstairs is a bunch of extra rooms, including the computer lab. Below that is a mysteriously locked door. I think you have to be an X-man to go in it.”
The clues kept coming. First it was the secret danger room, now it ws the mysteriously locked door where you had to be a "x-man" to get in. What was a x-man indeed. Full of questions now she started to volley of a few. "Where does the door go?" She first asked. "And what is a x-man?" she then asked a bit shamefully. Seemingly everyone here knew what that was but she didn't
“If you haven't already been on a tour, I could show you around,” Katrina offered. “Is there anything you haven't gotten the chance to see yet?”
That was indeed a very good wish. If you had many friends that is. Cailyn was always very unaware of how many friends she had. She just had people around her that where nice. They could be friends, they fit in the entire concept of them.
Nevertheless, she was asked if she wanted a tour. A tour could lead to clues that could lead to the secret of the basement. Detective Cailyn was on to something soon. "I always get lost." She answered with a faint smile and a bit of a shy one. She didn't lie there, she merely held something back. Lieing was bad and she always uphold that thought. She was really tempted to just boldly ask about the plane and basement but she didn't. She was merely dropping a hint. "I like planes by the way." She said. "They go really fast." She added. This might have sound silly to a normal person but it sounded perfectly normal to her.
“So, if you could have any one wish come true, what would you wish for?”
A very good question. What would she wish for? Would it be noble, world peace for example. Or would it be for her own ends at stop her father from ever putting her into the asylum. This was one of those questions that nobody could answer straight away. She pulled a pondering face over the question. She placed her right hand on the inside of her left elbow and the other hand touched her forehead. Just like Winnie the pooh did as he thought up something. "Think, think" She thought to herself.
Then she had a answer. "A room with all the puzzles in the word and all the chocolate in the world." She answered with a big smile. If that wish came true, she would spend the rest of her life there. Indeed a very good answer for the little puzzler. To bad she didn't find any decent puzzles around this mansion yet. But then again, the basement and plane searching would be a puzzle on its own. To solve this puzzle she would need information instead of puzzle pieces. Maybe some luck too. "Watch yours? " She asked next, trying to figure out where she wanted to go with the question.
“Good morning. What's your name? Are you new here?”
Questions, Questions everyone always had their questions. It was early for lots of question. Atleast to her standard. "I am Cailyn." She said with a smile. The girl seemed very nice and very joyfull. It kind of was rubbing off on her. It was even funny to see her being starled by someone she starled because she was starled. Not many people had that happen to them before. Cailyn wasn't one of those.
“I'm Katrina, by the way,”
The girl walked up to her and extended her hand. Cailyn looked at the hand for a bit and remembered that shaking it was polite when you introduced yourself. She never gotten around the concept but it seemed the correct thing to do. She took her hand and softly shook it. "Nice to meet you." She said a bit shyly. Not a very good conversation started however. "Ow, yes i'm new." She added. That was one of not telling the complete truth that your kind of lost and not supposed to be here. That and not saying that your looking for a big secret plane in a big secret basement.
Walking down the halls, twiddling with her own mind made her unaware of her surroundings. The only thing she heard where her own footsteps while wandering around the hallways. "If i where a plane, where would i hide." She thought to herself as she took another turn. It was a big mansion and you could get lost very easily here, but then again hiding a plane wasn't easy at all.
Maybe there was a secret elevator, or a button to open a door somewhere. Al she wasnted at this moment was to find it, or atleast attempt to find it. She turned into another hall again and passed the kitched. Checkpoint made, kitchen found now just remembering where it was. While she walked she looked down at the floor. It was made of wood and very slippery, maybe she should have put on some socks before she slipped up.
“Hello,”
The hello starled her. She kind of jumped up with a little eep before she knew where it came from. It was a girl who happened to be up really early , just like her. The girl also had her mind wrapped around something else it seemed. "Hello." She said back and waved also. The girl waved, so she waved. It was called being nice she guessed. "Good morning." She added with a smile. A good detective always where nice at the beginning. They might get some information out of people by being nice. It was probably in the detective handbook.
She had been here for a while now, and she knew certain things without people ever telling her. She knew about the plane and about the basement but she was never told or shown. She wanted to find the places and just look at them, telling herself that she is not that crazy that she imagened the entire plane and secret basement under a mutant school part. Some secrets could not be kept from the little mind reading girl that walked around the school now a days.
She walked through the hallway in the early morning. Not many people where up yet exept the ones who couldn't sleep or where sneaking out and what not. She still wore her improvised pijama's and she had no socks on. Her bare feet could be heared through the empty hallways as she looked around like a little detective, a scared one but still a little detective. It was almost like a adventure to her. A adventure because she didn't belong her and she felt that. Nobody told her anything, but everyone somehow knew. It made her feel a bit lonely and she wanted to break that. She wanted to find out what she knew was true and if people would stop acting weird around her and just accept her. Not that she was staying for long, once she got her way back to her puzzle filled room in the sanctuary.
But what would she do if she found out the basement. She would explore some more, maybe see the plane she had been knowing about. The plane was the big price to see. That would make her day a good one since she never saw a plane upclose. Only in the air, outside the window of her asylum room.
"Why don't we say class dismissed for a while?" "Those burgers are starting to smell really good!"
Lesson where over and dinner time was up. She never had dinner time at a pool before. She had lots of firsts since the breakout. She swam towards the pools shallow stairs and she got up. She rubbed her hair out of her face. She climbed up the stairs and walked past luke who was seemingly waiting for her. What was he up too anyways.
She smelled the food coming from the barbeque area. It smelled good and her tummy started to talk to her a little. "Shh." She said softly. "You will get something in a second." She continued in the same soft voice only talking to herself. Luke wouldn't hear her probably and if he did it would simply make her look weird. Well atleast a bit weirder then before.
It's all right Cailyn. All of us make mistakes occasionally. How about you try some of those swimming strokes so we can make sure you've got the basic premise down?"
It was alright, no harm down, no suspision. Or was there ? Not that it mattered. First she handled the voices, then she would carry on with the swimming lessons, no harm done. She rubbed her head some more as she attempted to calm down. It worked a bit slowly and eventually they would calm down. She just hoped it would happen soon.
She rubbed her head and eyes, and pulled a painfull face before she was ready to swim again. She rubbed her left eye one last time and slowly got up. "ok" She said shortly. She took her starting position and pushed into the water again. She slowly swam around the shallow and in a attempt to train it a bit more. She just hoped she was doing alright at staying normal now and not getting to much attention to herself. Attention always leads to unwanted attention and she couldn't use any of that.
"A lot of schools and other organizations have private planes. Heck, even my business has a private plane. But, I've never heard about any plane being in the basement. Sorry."
The explanation itself ment nothing much. They where just words to go around. Cailyn knew something was fishy and that she was to find out for herself soon. All she had done now is raise suspision around herself. She should do what she learned at the sanctuary, act normal. Or atleast as normal as she could. It got her out of weird spots before.
"Sorry." She said. "I shouldn't call people liers" She added. She was sorry if she would be wrong, and sorry that she spazzed out so much. Nothing she could do about it though. Her head was very crowded. She still just sad there in the pool looking down at the water, slowly rocking her body back and forth trying to get the voices out of her head. If she could she would tell them to leave , but she already made to much trouble. However, she now was more determined to find out what this basement really was, and ofcourse to find the plane. She had never been on a plane before.
