The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

A presence was nearing or was near her already. It was hard to make out but she had the feeling of being watched and she knew it was the truth. It did not bother her though and she continued her puzzle but before she knew it the presence moved into her direction. Her neck twitched and her head titled a bit to the right. "It's not polite to try and sneak up on people." She softly spoke to herself and to the presence while she tried a piece of the puzzle out. Then there was a clunk of some sort, like metal hitting the floor.
"I have yet to meet you formally, I believe. I'm Meld. A pleasure to meet you."
"Formallity? Is it a virtue or a vice?" She asked the woman who was named meld. She did not knew the woman and had no clue about her intentions. This was a good way to get a feel of the person by being cryptic. Cryptics showed more about people then anything could ever do. No questions about do you like sheep or candy can compare to a cryptic question. She shifted her head sideways that she could look what she looked like. "Penny for the tought." She said with a smile and held up a puzzle piece.
Cailyn had her room full of puzzles that where finished now and there was no more room for the rest. She decided to continue her work somewhere else. She found that the dinning hall was a place with big enough tables to make her puzzles. The current one she had was big enough to take the place of a table of which 6 people could eat.
She had the box on one chair and the pieces all layed out on the table. The edges where done, but that was the easy part. The hard part was to fill it up. The picture of the puzzle was a very large desert with a sunset and some palmtrees. It was a very beautifull picture and she was sure she would finish it even if it took her all day, and night. She just hoped no meanies would come and bug her like the time she had the toy from the cereal box. Somebody killed the little car.
She pondered and pondered while trying pieces of the puzzles. Sometimes she succeded. She didn't pay much attention to her surroundings. People looked at her strangly but mostly ignored her. Some just laughed at her and pointed. It did not matter, they did not matter. All that mattered was the puzzle at hand.
(OOC: by a very extensive and coordinated stratigical plottage (names in a hat) i have pinpointed the first one to suffer my squirly wrath, hope that The rangerino finds it ok )
The fighting broke out and the whispers once again took hold of Cailyn's body and mind. She was now just a bystander of what her body wanted to do. Some of them fought like their life depended on them, some of them talked. Some won, some lost. It all didn't matter anything for her control was lost. No control ment chaos, chaos ment destruction. Destruction of minds and perhaps even some property.
Her hands began to twitch as her head leaned a bit backwards as if there was nothing that held her head straight. Her eyes turned into a glare as if nobody was home. She floated now and the soft song of her powers began to doom up out of nothing. But who would her grip go to first. Who would feel the wrath locked up inside of her first.
She looked at the largest group of combatants. They where really fighting it out. One of them reminded her of somebody, of a person not who didn't seem to friendly. He wielded firearms and knives as if he was military. To say the least she disliked the military. She started implanting thoughts into his head, making sugestions he probably could not resist. She started of with a simple suggestion.
"My allies aren't what they appear to be." She implanted in his head as just a start of her "little experiment".
Where will you find roads without cars, forests without trees and cities without houses
What type of a question was that. A riddle to be precise and it was a challenging one indeed. She tilted her head and her eyes went blank. Riddles made her think harder then normal, and sometimes activated her powers just a little bit. She looked up and moved her lips with no word coming out. The look in her eyes returned and she answered the question: "On a map." she said. Relitivly easy answer for a riddle. Never the less it required thinking. She sipped her cocao again and finished her chocolate scown. And that ended the rain of chocality goodness as both of them where now gone, into her belly.
Cailyn didn't have a very good look around before Ghost told her to run again. It seemed that the birds where gone, and they where replaced by dragons a little bit further away. Cailyn eeped again in fear and started running. She didn't have this much excersise in like, ever !
They ran through the caves which seem to held lots of remains that dragons left over from all kind of wildlive. It was very detailed and such and Cailyn surely didn't want to end up like that.
Quickly she found a place deeper in the cave to hide. It was a bit of a small spot where a big dragon couldn't get to, hopefully. She sat there and watched the dragons enter the cave until she heard a whisper talk to her. She turned her head a couple of times in different directions to find out where it was coming from. It didn't seem like a silly whisper from her head. She finally found out where it came from. It was behind her, and it was the prince who was hiding there too !
She nodded to the second kitty cat person she met in her life. The thought of them having a secret city of kitty people ran through her head again. Maybe they where eventually going to invade when they had enough kitty people to do so. Lots of other things just ran through her head about kitty people. Not that she disliked them. In fact she really liked them. The other kitty person was very nice and this one didn't seem any different. "I'm Cailyn." She said with a honest and sweet smile as she extended her hand. "What's your name?" she then asked after introducing herself. She just hoped that she didn't lost count and where she was with counting the tiles of the road to the mansion. That or get lost again.
Ghost had a different mode of transportation in mind the Cailyn did. Cailyn thought of a elevator and not flying. Hymn felt pressure around her entire body as she was lifted in the air. At first it was a bit scary since this wasn't normal for her. But after a while she felt safe and it even was a bit fun.
She saw the mountain pass by as she flew around with ghost the friendly ghost floating next to her. She saw the birds come close and pass by. The prince must be on top of the mountain or something seeing as they went pretty high. In the distance she saw the dragons. She eeped and hoped that they didn't notice the two of them flying to their lair.
Once they got to the top of the mountain, She was put down there. "That was fun." She said out loud with a childish voice. She looked around.Yup, it was indeed a dragons lair. There where bones everywhere and nests with big eggs. Those eggs would make a large enough omelet to feed a small village. No sight of the prince yet though. She wasn't exactly motivated to look around without supervision.
"Uhu" she said as she nodded. she was a bit shy al of the sudden mostly because he might have information about the plane and she didn't want to come over as weird and scare him of. She had that effect on people sometimes. Mostly when she went into hymn mode and started manipulating.
“Not much I can do if you both already know where the jet is can I?”
Statement of a witness could be used in court as proof. This was proof never the less that they had a plane hidden in the basement. She was excited about it now beyond the level of excitement she had when she started her search. She got the information without even using her powers. He even went downstairs as if he was going to show them the plane.
Maybe it was trick, just for her. Like a april fools joke. She still followed him and katrina down stairs. The whispers in her head started making her a bit paranoid again. They told her it was a sceme to get her in lockup downstairs. But there was no turning back now as she looked at a huge black plane now. it wasn't a normal plane, it was one of thos fancy streamlined ones.
“This is the X-Jet…”
Her eyes became huge again out of the awesomeness she was beholding. the only thing she could say was: "Cooooolll." Another thing to scratch of her list of things to do.
"Don't forget we have a Prince to save. He is more lost than us because we have the map!"
Ok prince was priority number one. The horsie would be ok eventually. The prince didn't have his map so he couldn't get home. The prince needed to get home. He was with dragons, and that wasn't good. She nodded in agreement with ghost. She understood what had to be done. And ofcourse this wasn't real, but it looked very real to her.
They walked for a little while until the edge of the forest. There was a big mountain right in front of them. Well the mountain was big for her but she never saw a mountain before. She looked up and she saw birds. Strange, weren't the birds scared of the dragons? "Look, birdies." She said and tilted her head.
"Well, up we go? Do you want a lift?"
A lift. Could she do that? Just conjure up a lift with wires and buttons and everything. This was worth seeing to say the least. "Yeah." She said happy and excited. let's see what kind of lift ghost had in store for her.
Did ghost just say dragons. As in the big lizard things with wings and tails and fire breath. Those things where mostly dangerous unless you where some type of knight with a big shield and sword. She wasn't a knight for sure and she was pretty sure ghost wasn't one either. "Dragons?!" she asked scared and confused as she looked at ghost. How where they going to defeat dragons, by a game of cards? Cause that was something she could win, if the dragons had minds and weren't holograms. So many things could go wrong if she didn't have her powers to look over her.
And they where of towards the big x, leaving the horse behind. Cailyn petted it one more time and followed ghost. When the horse was out of sight, she got scared. Scared that the horse might not find his way home or gets hurt again. "Will he be ok?" She asked a bit sadly while looking back into the direction of the horse. She didn't want to leave such a beautiful creature behind without making sure he was fine. And ofcourse if there where dragons involved, it could mean more trouble for the poor thing. Never the less, she would stick with ghost seeing as she knew how to read maps and probably kept her safe. Her safety was important
Cailyn was outside today walking up and down the pathway in the mansion grounds. She was counting the tiles that it was made of . It was a weird thing to do but very normal for her. She payed no attention to the garden and everything else that a around it. She just kept on counting. "39, 40 , 41 , 42 ,43 " She counted softly in herself as she walked down the path. The people who where playing around looked at her very strangly. It was like they never saw anybody count the tiles of a path.
As she came close to the front gate she looked up and was amazed by what she saw. It was a kitty lady that stood there. If there was something cool it was kitty people. She already met another kitty lady once and she was very nice. She fairly fasinated with animal people, though she only met two. She looked up at the kitten lady with big eyes of amazement. "Hello." She said shortly and a bit shy. There was something about her though, like she was not acting normal. It was not that it looked that way but somehow she knew.
"The story is that the Prince is missing. He went out on his white horse to hunt ogres and never came home. Do you know this story? We're the princesses and we're going to have to rescue him. Wherever he went..."
She listened to the story as if it was real. As if there really was a prince on a white horse in trouble in this forest. Ofcourse it wasn't real, it was just holograms. But to her it was as real as anything. This was something to work, something to believe in. Not the real world that hates her for what she can do. This would be a world to live in.
Suddenly they both noticed the white horse, which probably had seen beter days. It was carrying bags on his back. Ghost tended the animal as she tossed the bags to her. She wanted to pet the horsie though. She walked up to the horse too and gently and slowly placed her hand on his head. It was soft and it was one of the most beautiful things she had ever seen.
She then went back to the bags. She didn't know how to tend for a animal like that and maybe there was something in the bag. A book or bandaids of some sort. She ruffled through the bag and found nothing but food and water and a very interresting peice of paper. It has marks on it, maybe it was a map of some sort. It didn't help the horse though. Cailyn inspected the Map with great care as ghost did her part.
Ghost was right, the little men looked agitated enough to attack them even if both of them where allot bigger. She had no powers over them though, they weren't real. Not that she had actual control over her powers allot but that was besides the point. The little spears they where holding seemed painfull enough when hit in the eye or something. Ghost was thinking what Cailyn was thinking and that was: "Run!"
Cailyn was in front of ghost but she had no clue where to run too. It was all a big forest and she never been here to say the least. This would actually be the first she is in a forest. A fake holographic forest though, but a forest non the less. When she thought the little people stopped following them, Cailyn stopped and caught her breath. She sat down on the floor and looked around. Yup completly and utterly lost. She looked up to ghost and asked: "What is the story?" This would be a story they where playing, right ?
