The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Cailyn was out for a day in the park. atleast she didn't know it was a park but it was indeed a park. She strolled down looking at all the people and the bird and the trees. She never seen real animals for almost 10 years so she was kind of excited to see some. She moved herself down some pathways to see all kind of people walking or skating around. Some where walking their dogs, others where just talking to each other and there where even some who did both at the same time.
As she came to a pond she saw some ducks or where they geese? she didn't know. They looked funny and they quacked friendly at the people feeding them bread. Cailyn's eyes swelled up like a little child seeing a big candy store. She couldn't believe she saw actuall ducks, or geese. She slowly walked to one of the duck looking at him with big eyes. The duck got scared and flew a bit back. This scared Cailyn and made her fall back too. She looked at the duck and the duck looked back as if it was a staring contest. "One day little duck i will catch you." She thought to herself as she looked at him
"The Sanctuary, duh." She stared at the girl incredulously. "Did you know that before coming here?"
She nodded her head saying no. She had no clue where she was her entire life to begin with and the outside world was scary but her curiosity still wanted to see more. Atleast there where more people to play with here then in the asylum
"Look, kid, I don't have super strength. If you wanna keep talking, you'd better get those legs moving and keep up, 'cause I'm not stopping." "Who brought you in, anyway?" she called back.
Cailyn got on her feet still holding the pillow against her body. It was soft and she liked soft things, like sheep too. Sheep are her favorite animal. She followed the girl and she said excitingly: "This big red man with the tail and the big arms." She said that like any little girl would that would see a superhero for the first time.
Labeling a pillow seemed like a good idea to her. She started examining the pillow from top to bottom. She pondered where to label the pillow with her name till she found out that it actually wasn't her pillow. She realized she wasn't in a place she knew, she was lost. This made her a bit scared and she hugged the pillow again and asked to the girl before she was completly walked away: "Where am i."
"Hm. Not a bad name, actually. Well, I'd offer to shake your hand," she lied, "but mine are kinda full, obviously."
She smiled like a child on that remark and said: "thank you." in a high pitched voice.. Cailyn liked funny people because well, they are funny. She loosened her grip around the pillow because she was a bit more confertable around the laundry monster who appeared to be a girl.
"What's with the pillow?"
She looked down at the pillow to examine it. There was nothing wrong with the pillow so what was with it. She put it down on her lap and said: "it's mine."
This was weird for Cailyn. Normally the whispers told her the right things and this time they where wrong. She looked at the girls eyes and there it was again. They looked but couldn't see. "You don't see, see." Cailyn said softly.
"What's your name, half-pint?"
Name name she needed her name once again. She pickered her thoughts again hoping the whispers would help her out.She put her hand on the side of hair head and wiggled it through her hair. She was supposed to know, she said it yesterday but probably forgot again. Then it hit her (again) and said: "Cailyn, They called me Cailyn."
"What's the matter, kid? Never seen someone lugging laundry around before?"
The laundry monster spoke to her, but it seemed that it wasn't a laundry monster but a girl who carried laundrey. This didn't make the situation any better. She was in a unknown place with unknown people that could harm her if they wanted.
"New 'round here, aren't ya?"
She nodded a bit scared still holding her pillow. She seemed nice but a bit strange. The whispers told her, that the girls eyes where dead. This was a bit strange to her. How could she see her without eyes. "How do you see me?" She blurted out.
She rubbed some more sleep out of her eyes and then the whispers started speaking again. Feeding her all kinds of information about the residents of this building and what they where plotting or doing. Cailyn closed her eyes and her head trembled a bit as she pulled a painfull look on her face.
"Clear the hall, newbie, or get run over."
She heard something but it wasn't clear but then again she saw a large pile of laundrey approuching her. She looked at it and got scared of it trying to get away. She stumbled back with the pillow in her hand and fell down on the ground. This hurt but she wanted to get away from the laundrey monster. She hugged the pillow real hard now with just her eyes looking over the edge of the pillow looking at the laundrey monster with a look like she was scared and about to cry.
Sheep and fluffy clouds where on the mind of the 17 year old mental patient that was lying asleep in a room. She was dropped there after her escape from the asylum with a bit of help from Abyss but by the time they got to the sanctuary she was sound asleep. She hugged her pillow against her curled up body like she felt as safe as she could be sometimes letting out some sound of having a perfectly fun dream. "Fluffy." She softly muttered in her sleep and she hugged her pillow even tighter.
She slowy started waking up after a while. She realized she wasn't in the asylum anymore and that she was hugging a big soft pillow. It was so soft for her that she decided to stay and hug it some more until she woke up some more. Eventually she decided to get up but she didn't want to leave the pillow behind. She climbed out of the bed still holding the pillow against her with one hand and the other she used to rub the sleep out of her eyes. She walked to the door and opened it to see a hallway. She had no clue where she was but she looked around the hallway to see if there was anybody there.
The group seemed to follow her as she went to the benches. As they arrived there, Cailyn sat down with her tray on her lap looking at the noodles. They looked very hot and the steam got into her face. She never had this kind of food before so she picked up her plastic fork and poked it. It didn't seem to stick on the fork as she only got one tiny piece of noodle. She tried again and failed until she noticed she had a spoon too. She took the spoon and fork and turned it into a clamp and picked up the noodles and stuck it in her mouth and started chewing. It tasted very good to her, perhaps because she was hungry and everything tasted better then nutcase food. She swallowed her food and nodded saying: "This is yummy."
When all the commotion was over, Cailyn layed back down on the two front seats and yawned. She placed her hands under her head and she started to feel sleepy again. She could still hear the other looney's scream of excitement but she didn't care anymore. She didn't have a good nights rest in a long time and now was finnaly the time to catch up on some sleep as she dozed of into the world of dreams.
"Last stop and welcome home to all that want to stay."
Cailyn did abyss talking faintly in her sleep but it didn't wake her up. She dreamt of all things fluffy and nice and she wasn't about to wake up from it. She turned around and moaned a bit in her sleep as she put her hands over her face. She was fast asleep.
Whispers went beserk in her mind giving her a headache bad enough that it felt like her head was going to split right open. She put her hand through her hair all tensed up as if they where trying to push through her skull. All she wanted was that they stopped, that they went into there usual calmness. And suddenly she felt a pat on her back
“If it wasn’t us taking care of them, it would be the other way around.”
She turned around to see who it was and it seemed to be the pixy girl. Her mouth was moving but Cailyn couldn't hear her as the whispers and the noise drowned it out. She had her mask and seemed to want to give it to her. She looked at her as she was talking with her eyes pinched a bit as if she was trying to make out what she said. After that she took the mask and put it back on. The silence was back , atleast in her head and she let herself slide over the seats again ready to fall asleep again.
Ah big explosion and people laughing like madmen waked Cailyn up a bit. She was still woozy and sleepy but she was half awake to find out what was happening. She pulled her mask of and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes a bit and yawned. She moved up a bit and looked out the window to see a burning chopper. She rubbed her eyes again to make sure the things she saw where real.
The laughing of all the mad men was scaring Cailyn as she curled up and put her hands against her ears. Whispers where going insane again with all the emotions that where let lose into the bus. It hurt her and she opened her mouth as if she was going to scream but she didn't. Al she she whispered now is: "Please make it stop." over and over again to herself. Nobody probably even heard her talking to herself. The whispers told her what happened and that people died. This scared her even more. She didn't like being locked away in some asylum but death isn't something she could handle very well.
"Ya know what? let's go somewhere else. Lead the way Cailyn. Oh Nash your welcome to join us if you'd like."
"A', sure. Lead the way."
They pretended like Cailyn knew the way of this place but she didn't. this was the first time at the mall and she was technicly already lost. She looked around to see if she saw somewhere to leave. Then she noted that the bench where she sat for a while would be a good choice. She walked away towards the place where the bench is supposed to be and hope the rest followed her. She looked back a couple of times to check if that was happening.
The big man carrying Cailyn was moving towards the bus and stopped right in front of it. Cailyn slipped down and landed on her feet and started examening the bus. First time she saw a bus up close and all she could let out was a childish smile that showed how excited she was to board it. She turned to the red man and looked with a cute smile at him, letting him know she was ready to go.
She crawled up the bus and sat down in the front seats of the bus. She looked around again to look at everything. She examined everything, from the lugage racks to the gas pedal. She coulnd't believe she was actually going to ride a moving vehicle. The excitement tired her out more and she started laying down on the 2 front seats. " I wanna go." she said sleepy as she started to slip into a sleep. "Time for beddy bye bye. " she said softly as she crawled up and fell asleep on the front seats.
Cailyn looked a bit around like she saw a fly buzzing around but there wasn't a fly anywhere. She shook it of by shaking her head ones and said : "Hi Nash, they call me Cailyn." She looked at her tray with food and had no idea how to eat it. She tilted her head and looked at it pondering what to do with it. She quickly looked around to see if anybody else was eating this so she would know what to do but found out everybody stared at them. She slowly moved behind Nash as if she was scared of the people.
"My body is telling me that I am hungry."
By the time she said that she stood behind Nash with her tray of food. She moved her head a bit forward and whispered to Nash: " People don't like me." with a bit of fear in her voice. She picked up some info from the whispers that people looked at her and where angry with her or pissed of. She didn't like that one bit and her experience with the guards in the asylum made her very cautious for these kind of situations. All she wanted now is to walk away and go and eat in a silent corner where she would be left alone. " We don't want to be here." she softly said to Nash and Chris.
